| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Syaoran is back :D Looks like there's some sports competition but as usual, trouble came. This week, she managed to capture the Hail card. Impressive. Her outfit was relatively simple but well made. The ending was interesting as she has one of those bizarre dreams again. |

| Akiho having a recurring dream, reminds me of the original series when Sakura would have that same dream of her over and over again which eventually happened to be real. Nice to Kero being very helpful there by gathering all the items Sakura needed. Sakura must have learned basketball those moves from Yukito, she did great. We can always rely on Tomoyo to have an outfit ready. Great stuff by Syaoran there using all that fire magic against the hail. Ah so now the mysterious being is present in the real world. Oh look Meiling is back next time, she be a lot of fun if she is staying at Sakura's place. |

| Akiho is the Origami Killer. Scarf down breakfast and almost choke, then casually walk to school at a normal pace.  Edit: Oh, yeah, Sakura says Kero has been sleeping a lot. If it's like Yukito's sleepiness, perhaps it could be due to Sakura's power being slowly drained in those dreams? |

| Now that we've had more of the dream revealed I'm thinking that the "D" in Yuna D. Kaito stands for "dragon"? Or just another parallel to Fai? At any rate the Clear Card arc is chock full of parallels to CCS and CLAMP's other works. How many more Clear Cards must be collected before Syaoran and everyone in the know can execute their master plan? I find it interesting that these "bootleg" versions of the cards don't drain Sakura's energy or some similar consequence when she captures them like in the first series. |

| Good episode again. Based on what Akiho says about her dream to Kaito, the possibility of her being the person in Sakura's dream is now very high. That also makes it possible for Kaito to be the dragon. The compeitions were pretty nice to watch. Tomoyo is the definition of preparedness. xD We got the hail card this week. Li sure showed his skill this time, loved the fire magic he displayed. Are we getting a new OP and ED next week? |

| Sakura desired a tie in the badminton match, then hail started to fall. It's like recording and flying too, maybe another cards are from Akiho's desires. |

| I wonder if anything unusual would happen if Fujitaka saw Akiho, let alone Kaito. He never gets the chance to meet them. Sakura's lucky the badminton match between Syaoran and Akiho was called off. It looked like Akiho might have had the upper hand if Li was struggling playing against her. It is great to see Syaoran helping Sakura, but hopefully his new magic is not the self-sacrificing and/or life-threatening type of powers. That would be worrying. Sakura at least knows what kind of voice the mysterious figure has in her dream. |

| I'm not quite sure how this series is going to end. On one hand, I believe that these new cards are upgraded versions of the Sakura Cards (like they were for the Clow Cards) and they'll be needed for the inevitable fight in the season finale, however after reading a few comments on Crunchyroll, it's highly likely that this mysterious Kaito is somehow behind these cards and is using Sakura to make them for Akiho because she unconsciously "wants" them and the key. And thus, by Sakura making these cards, she is slowing losing her own cards (which became transparent) and power for Akiho. It'll be interesting to see how Akiho responds to the whole situation when she finally becomes aware of what's going on. Also, I would love to know what's going on in Syaoran's head. For example, what he and Eriol know about what's going on, why his old powers no longer work, why he felt some sort of regret by using his new power. It's all very bizarre and I would love some answers as the weeks go into the second-cour. Note: I've heard that the next episode of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen won't be airing next week but on the 7th of April instead. I don't know whether this is completely true or not, but just a heads up if so. |

| From what Kaito said in this episode, and from what we saw in Sakura's dream, I get the idea that Kaito created Akiho as part of a spell to steal the Sakura cards, and maybe even Sakura's magic power. Akiho is somehow Sakura's double, a mirror image, although she's unaware of it, and that's why the two of them are so attracted to one another. Akiho is like a doll or something, a puppet that Kaito controls, imbued with the desire to have Sakura's magic for herself. I suspect by the end of this series, Akiho will go full dark and turn on Sakura. I definitely think someone is trying to steal Sakura's magic, but I don't think she's converting her own cards; I think when the enchantment that kept them as cards was a shattered (as evidenced by Sakura's first dream) they revealed their true/upgraded selves and were then released into the wild, probably because of Sakura's interference somehow. But Sakura wasn't supposed to get the key, Akiho was, and now those magic forces are attracted to Sakura and thus appear in response to her will. But she can only master them with the dream key, because they're no longer Clow OR Sakura cards, but greater magic forces. I'm guessing Kaito is the dragon we saw in the new dream, and the magic society he's a part of doesn't want some "random" Japanese girl to have all this magic power at her fingertips. They probably want to control all magic, and/or use it to subjugate the world/magic users. I'm also guessing Eriol/Clow somehow knows all about this, and is forbidden from telling Sakura the whole story or interfering in any way, but he's told Li at least some of it, who has been looking after Sakura with Eriol's advice, even though he's probably not supposed to. I don't think Eriol is complicit in this society's plan, but I don't think he's going to do anything about it by himself. I think that's just because he trusts Sakura. As for Kero (and Yue I guess)... I wonder about what will happen to them. As much as Sakura loves Kero, he's not her familiar; He was Clow's. With the cards no longer being Clow or Sakura cards, I think whatever tenuous connection he had to Sakura's magic power is fading, although so far he seems unaware of it. I wouldn't be surprised if he disappears, or goes through a big transformation by the end of the series. |

Interesting theory, I too think that someone is trying to get Sakura's magic from the episode where Akiho mentioned she had come to Japan to find a certain book. From the previous episode it seems more likely that Kaito is the mastermind, not Akiho who seems to be quite innocent about what's happening. |

Okay, so it seems the girls are either having the same dream or meeting in the same dream idk. Akiho seems totally fine with wanting to steal things from other people (I suppose she knows this is not just normal dream) and between that and having a personal slave, I think this girl is in need of a therapist. Aaaand Sakura is late because that's a classic. But she was walking quite slowly for someone who was late. When Kero told Syaoran he was still too immature and he was just like "Yeah, you're right" I just went OUCH dude, no need to belittle yourself like that. It hurts me. Even Kero felt guilty. Then, sports competition. Our Sakura chan slam-dunks in the face of the haters and shows those middle school losers how to play the game. She's not interested in ties when she is the one playing, she just goes for the gold. New card appears, same old same old, Syaoran has some new sick tricks and he doesn't seem to feel well using them which makes us, spectators, really confused. And Sakura might have noticed something was weird but Akiho appeared and she kinda forgot about it oops. Meiling is back next episode, can she put some sense into Sakura's head? Nope, no one can... |

| That concludes that Akiho is the masked one and Kaito is the dragon. I'm right now just rooting for Syaoran, I guess he's still frustrated that he can't sense the CLEAR cards. Meling returns next week, can't wait |

| So anyone else think Syaoran used the firey card in this episode? They purposely cut what he said before using the fire spell and he seemed upset he needed to use it which is really suspicious and if Eriol knew someone was coming for the cards it could make sense he and Syaoran found a way to take the cards from Sakura temporarily so they cant be found and their plan is to have the clear cards be taken instead in hopes they will be useless to Akiho/Kaito considering no one beside Sakura can sense them. |
| I'm impressed about the amount of theories this plot has created since there are more questions than answers and to be honest, it's really entertaining to read them all. It makes me feel even more anxious for the upcoming episodes. P.S.: It's like the third/fourth time Akiho tells Sakura she wants to watch the play's recording and I don't know if it's just me but maybe that moment would be also related to the plot at some point (like Akiho visiting Sakura's library too)... she seems so interested in it. The speculations are strong in this series as I notice xD |

| Sakura mentioning Kero being more sleepy reminded me of Yue fading away because he didn't have enough magic to sustain him. I don't think this is what's happening to Kero. I don't remember if the anime talked about it, but in the manga, it's said that Kero sustains himself because his power comes from the sun. It might be a throwaway line, but if it's not, I kind of doubt it's from Sakura's magic being different. I hope he gets to join Sakura in the dreams from sleeping more often :( It's practically certain Akiho is the cloaked figure now. It might be too soon to call Kaito as the dragon, Momo has to fall somewhere in this. I'm skeptical of that rabbit lol. Everything is leading up to Sakura's library. I'm soo ready for that setting to trigger something in Akiho. I know the focus has been on the second movie, but what about the first?! There's so many similarities with it, I hope that was canon too. |

| It appears that Akiho is the cloaked person in Sakura's dream, but she doesn't realize that Sakura is the person that's she's seeing in her dream. It appears that Kaito is manipulating Akiho into getting the key from Sakura. Also, Shaoran's magic is definitely a lot stronger than it used to be. |
