| I know I'm being a little pedantic here, but how was Youhei able to grab Hanako without his soul travelling? How is he even able to interact with ghosts in the first place? The whole subconscious shapeshifting thing is a pretty interesting idea, but you'd probably be able to make the connection without needing someone to tell you, especially since Rinko knows that she can use it to control her hair. She's been up on the roof for 10 years and has definitely faced her fair share of storms. Although it'd be impossible to completely disassociate with the feeling of being wet, at some point she'd probably be able to make the connection that the rain doesn't affect her physically. I thought the table and chairs Rinko sat at were just part of her illusion, and that Youhei was just going along with it, but it turns out they're actually real, which implies that they've been up there for 10 years. On that subject, I don't get how the ghosts interact with objects in the real world since it kinda seems like they're just able to grab whatever. Don't even get me started on how people are somehow able to see ghosts through phone cameras. I don't know. I've been enjoying this series so far, but the disregard it has for what the characters can do in this universe bothers me enough to write an entire essay about it. |
