I have mixed feelings about this donghua because:
1. It's in 3d and it looks like a game
2. Floody haired LBH???
3. SQQ's hair is different from the fandom's version

But I have to say the detail is impeccable. You can literally see the threads on LBH's clothing. Also SQQ's outfit is kiLLING ME

It did! It's going to be made by studio Haoliners Animation League. (the one that made Ling Qi (Spiritpact))

I hope as well! Even tho the second season of Ling Qi was far better regarding its artwork if the animation of heavens official blessing is not as impressive as mdzs i will cry.... (Will watch as well but i will cry xD) But the rights of the novel were sold for almost 6.000.000 us$(if i remember correctly) it BETTER be good.
Other than that I dont really mind the 3d animation of scum vilian cause it kinda looks like a game and it fits it well imo (and it doesn't look too bad(well its only 30secs maybe the actually thing is better.. or worse T.T))

Ugh. How come Advent Children, a 3D movie from 2005 has more believable emotions. I love how they made the environment and textures, truly, but damn those facial expressions. Hopefully they fix them up a bit.
At the very least we'll get a manhua, since I'm not placing any hopes in live actions. I wonder if Heaven's Official Blessing will be 2D like MDZS. Tho I heard it's very likely it'll be 2D, since it doen't have game-like elements like Scum Villain

At first I was disappointed about the 3d,but now I'm thinking, you know, scum villains greatest strength imo was the hilarious humor and how they parodied mainstream wuxia novels. I think the 3d will be really good for that aspect. Sometimes I worry the girls reading this are BL fanatics who don't usually read harem power-up Chinese novels therefore don't get the jokes hahaha but honestly the jokes are what made the novel for me. As far as the love story goes, it's MXTX's weakest romance tbh (that's not an insult or a even a bad thing) even tho sqq is tied for my favorite mxtx protagonist <3 (including the love interests, so out of the 6 MCs)
Anyway, while I wasn't psyched about the 3d,i hope they use it advantageously for the strengths of the story. Also, I hope they do a good job giving us SQQ's inner thoughts and steam of consciousness, as that was the best and funniest part of the book.

I'm a girl who likes BL haha. But like you said, it's a good parody plot. It's parodying harem xianxia novels. Having read a harem xianxia novel will allow you to understand the parody. If you read one, you should get the jokes, but most SV fans I've talked to said they've never read any.

I mean it's not that hard to get the jokes, even if you never read any crap harem in your life, you will still get that it is a bad writing so...though I did read a few of them without meaning too. didn't enjoy it at all though
