| Fantastic episode and adaptation! Really loving the chemistry between everyone. The highlight of this episode is definitely the growth of Anya as a character. He genuinely cared about Akatsuki because Akatsuki truly care about everyone. I like how the studio move the conflict part between Akatsuki and Anya part at the end of episode to highlight such chemistry. In the original manga, this part is more like a singled out daily slice of life chapter. They merge it into the main game plot as a flashback, which honestly I think is the right thing to do. Add in the nice BGM as they always do at the end of the episode -> bang! Wholesome chemistry! Anyatsuki for life :) One of the most under-rated anime this season because people are too used to shonen manga's "right to your face" type of plot. (A villain show up, main guy beat it, a bigger organization of villains showed up later , etc) All those games serve a purpose and foreshadowing of the world building/ setting of this world that would be explained in later episodes, so not getting what the plot is about is entirely intentional. Think of this serie something like Btooom , but without the killing each other part. |
| It got a bit weak now. Nice first episode. A lil bit boring game in episode 2 but a lot of tension with the evil game master that found out about the two that investigated ... and then the threatening game in episode 3. I'd expexted a bit more than just being back to your usual "game of the week" which also seems to run for 2 episodes now. Not really threatening the feeling now. And the comedy gets old. Hopefully episode 6 we are back to getting more background infos. And I hope the anime is paced to fully adapt the manga in 2-cour. (Meaning after this 12-13 episodes they wait until enough source is available and the manga is finished. And do the rest in another 1-cour season in 1 or 2 years.) This shouldn't go on for too long if it already gets a bit boring when they stop focusing on the main plot and backgrounds. One of the weakest episodes so far. I went from 8 to 7 back with my score. And I wouldn't say "most underrated" when MAL seems to be a bit more harsh nowadays. A lot of good showas have 6.xx only when they deserve 7.xx (and the community from a few years ago might habe gotten 7.xx for it). Don't see this as an 8+ (would need to deliver more, pacing focused more on the backgrounds like the 2 guys exploring in episodes 2/3). |

All I can say is Mal has a soft spot for shonen action/ sport for sure. I can't see myself giving Demon Blade a 8.5 anymore after I figured out how the plot and characters are delivered. (It's now a clear 7 for me after I figure out its formula, plus episodes pass 10 has not been good at all up until now, and side casts are annoying as hell.) It has good action but ultimately it's the same shonen manga trend.. Flashback over flashback over flashback in a bunch of unimportant fights. The dumbest part is giving those ugly demons that only show up 1~2 episodes a 5 mins flashback to emphasize them before they're dead. |

| Basically just Danganronpa but with all the good bits and survival element extracted. And with a lot more boringness mixed in. Watching the 2nd and 3rd season of Danganronpa would probably be a better use of my time. Guess I'll do that after binging the Berserk movies... |

| The show is losing quite a bit of steam. The games are fine, but there isn't much character development and attention to the overarching story to go along with it. There is a bit of hope however seeing as this current game is going to take a second episode to complete, meaning that there will possibly be greater substance. |
| One of the most baffling shows I've ever watched. Not that it's complex and hard to understand or anything but I can't grasp what it actually is, what I can expect from this, what the point of this is at all yet |
| "Hi, I'm Akki!" Mickey Mouse style. Nuff said. So Iride and Anyou have some history between them, though their motivations are still unclear IMO. And the part where Kai (or Zak) mentions that he has to find his twin sister, hopefully we'll see the backstory sometime in the future. |

Yuzu continues to be my favorite character in this series. Although I am really enjoying all of them which is a surprise. This anime is not like stand out best of the season but it has it's great moments. I like the comedy and how the "serious" moments are not too serious. My favorite part lol |

| That cheesy romance scene between Anboy and Iride, are they going suck each other off now? Kidding aside, Iride has bigger balls than Anboy. Surprised that Karin didn't say anything in protest when getting picked by that demonic pair. |

| Not really suprised about the demons I love how they initially planned to do this with four people but ultimately carried out the plan with everyone I hope they show more of the characters as we only know what they are good at and their personality but nothing on their past or anything |
