Dormitory Lobby
Chill, relax and hang out to your heart's content...

Welcome to the lobby! Lavishly appointed with high quality sofas, tables,
chandeliers, carpets, art and anything you might find in a luxurious home!
The entrance hall directly connects to the lobby itself and there is even a small
side room for those who want some peace and quiet. Naturally, the stairs
lead to the second floor where all the rooms are.

The lobby also offers a small, but fine selection of books, ranging from
classical masterpieces to new highlights. It also has a TV directly opposite
to the arrangement of chairs and is useful for entertainment or education.
Or you can just lie down on one of the sofas, put your legs up and
sleep. Hopefully, the maid in charge doesn't see you...

As the day turned to evening, Arona dozed off and I didn't psot about it because that's just dumb to post about someone sleeping on a couch.

Eventually Arona was awoken by another person, a beastkind. Arona didn't remember whether or not they met before, but it didn't really matter. Wiping her mouth off of drool, Arona shook off the sleepiness by shaking her head then turning to the person, "Hello there~. Have we met before?" Arona asked, just as a Red-headed Automaton and Blue-haired human walked behind the couch and headed out of the area.

Arona put a thoughtful finger to her lips, "Honestly, I forgot." She said, shrugging.

After two OOC months a while, Edward returned to the dormitory since it was getting late. He noticed some people outside, but most were leaving the entrance, so he went into the lobby. In there was Valencia, the very tall beastkind woman he'd dueled the previous day in a 2 vs 2, and Arona, the strangely dressed elf lady who he remembered using some powerful lightning magic in the battle for the city. "Good evening." Edward introduced himself, then took a seat on one of the couches, watching the same cartoon they were with a puzzled look. He remembered another screen device in the Coliseum lobby that showed a battle in another location, but this was completely different..."What sorcery is this..?" He was very confused at what seemed like someone's drawings somehow being displayed continuously (animation). He wasn't sure what exactly it was, but his best guess was some sort of advanced illusion magic.

By the looks of it, she had awoken the strange elf by accident, as she hadn't even realised the elf had been sleeping. That said, the elf didn't seem to mind it much. For some reason, Arona had forgotten they had been in the bath hall together, meaning Arona should have known all about Valencia's plot, and asked if they had met before. Then again, Valencia didn't recall Arona's name, so she could be somewhat forgiven. “Yes, we met in the bath hall, though I must admit I've forgotten your name, so a reintroduction might be appropriate. I'm Valencia Ortiz, it's nice to meet you again.”

Not long after that, Edward appeared, reminding her of the annoying existence of barrier which she had been trying to get her mind off of. Although he seemed to be preoccupied by worshipping studying the television, she wasn't able to explain it to him. “Good evening.” Much rather, she wanted to ask him something. “This may sound odd, but I've had issues with barrier using bee seeds during my latest mission, so I'd like to know. What kind of tactics do you, as a barrier user, have the most trouble dealing with?”

The girl reintroduced herself as Valencia Ortiz, and while Arona tried to rememebr the bath hall incident, a man came in, and seemed perplexed about the television, "Oh? You like it, dear~? It's not sorcery, but science! It took a bit of getting used to, but it let's you see moving pictures~. That's the gist anyways."

Then, to address Valenica, Arona wondered quizzically, "Bee seeds? Surely you don't mean the Lumi and Illumibees? They are easy to deal with. Just use a bug zapper~. Or if you don't have one of those, use me~. I can break through their barriers with a powerful enough attacks very easily~." Arona then flipped to a channel showing cartoon super heroes in 5 different colors using robots to defeat giant foes, "Oh, and my name is Arona, just Arona~. I think I remember you now, dear, you were the beastkind with the bigger boobs~."

Arona tried to explain the TV, saying there wasn't any magic involved with how it showed moving pictures somehow. That didn't give him any clue on how exactly it worked, though. "It's only technology..? This era is strange indeed..." He'd have to take her word for it, but with how many other things he didn't think would be possible without magic existed in this time, it was probably true.

Then Valencia talked to him, asking about barrier-using CS she had trouble with and how to deal with them. In other words, she was asking him to say what his own weaknesses were. Considering they were on the same side, he didn't mind answering, but right before he could speak up, Arona felt like answering for him and spoke first...it was a bit rude. Although he was a little annoyed, he waited for her to finish talking as she said something about bees, which apparently were now barrier-using monsters. Her advice wasn't very helpful though since all she said was that she could break through them easily, which just showed she was stronger rather than having any counters to barriers. She also remembered who Valencia was because she was very well endowed. Edward tried to ignore the lewd comment but couldn't help but notice the obvious difference between the two of them...

To answer her question and distract himself from the 'plot' he explained what he could about barriers and how to counter them. "I don't think using brute force would work very well unless there's a difference in power. The tactics I'd have trouble with would be anything that can pierce through defenses, or go around them, or something like poison that can't be stopped as long as it hits once. What else could they do besides create barriers?" He also asked what else these CS bees were capable of, since he didn't know. If they were anything like actual bees, he guessed they would be very frustrating to try to hit since they were so small.

Arona explained the television, sort-off. She also seemed to know immediately what CS Valencia had struggled against, but her comments regarding barriers were neither helpful nor welcome, so Valencia mostly shrugged them off. “Relying on others to fight difficult foes won't really get me very far.” It also seemed like Arona had remembered Valencia by her considerably sized plot, rather than Valencia's height or hair length. “So it seems.” Arona herself was easy to recognize, as she was pretty unique for cosplaying as a dragon all the time, something that stood out far more than anything else about her.

Edward's reply was more useful, although not a lot more. “Their barriers surrounded them, so there was no going around them. Otherwise they shot some sort of laser beams and spread some sort of pollen that healed them. They also got into close range to sting, at some points. I've never worked with poison before, and I'm not sure if I can start learning to do so at this point, so I guess my options against such opponents are limited.” She sighed. “I think I'll see if I can come up with a way to pierce through defences, thank you for the suggestion. For now I'll retire to my room though.” It had been later than expected, and her goal to distract herself from barriers had already failed, so she might as well call it a day altogether.

That said, she recalled something as she was about to leave. “Oh, right, shall we share COMB ID's?” If Edward would agree, she'd share her COMB ID with him. It'd make it easier to ask him for advice. After that, she'd leave the lobby.

As the two of them exchanged character IDs, Arona thought fit to mention, "Get inside their barriers and kill them from the inside! The barriers are also weak to dark, but resistant to light, so take that as you will.~" Arona said, giving one last piece of advice to ValenciaThen, turning to Edward, Arona held out her COMB, "What do you say? Anastasia and I already seem to have COMB IDs exchanged, do you want to exchange as well, mister~?" Arona said, exchanging COMB IDs with Edward, even though she still didn't know his name.

Regardless of the exchange, Arona waggled her fingers to Edward, then started to leave the lobby through the front door, away from the rooms, "I'm going to go to bed, you have a good night~."

Valencia explained some more about the bees that turned CS, saying how the barriers were spherical and couldn't be outflanked. They also used beams along with some sort of healing magic, something he didn't expect a monster to have. Also like any other bee they could sting people. Because of all this, she didn't have many ways to try to counter them other than trying to think of some piercing attack with her spear. It didn't seem like he'd helped much, but the conversation at least kept his mind off of the 'plot' Arona mentioned earlier.

But before she left, Valencia asked to exchange IDs. "Of course." Edward had figured out enough of this era's technology by now to be used to sharing IDs, so he did that and registered her ID too. He also did the same with Arona. After that they both left and he had little reason to stay...But he did notice something strange: Arona was heading to the front door instead of upstairs even though she said she was going to her room.

"You're going the wrong way, the rooms are upstairs..."

But there wasn't any response, and Arona just left the room (according to Cupcake). It was confusing, but it was getting late, so he also left the area, heading upstairs and back to his room.

As he walked into the lobby, he'd call out. “Miss Elizabeth, are you there?” If he'd get a response from the maid, he'd continue. “Good morning~” He'd make a theatrical bow, for the sake of making one, mostly. “I have a favour to ask. Two, actually! I've seen this place has quite the nice garden, but some barbarians seem to have damaged some of it! As the former Royal Botanist, I'd love to fix things up, and give the flowers and plants a little extra love~ After all, they blossom equally well as Gaeans do when given love~ So... Do I have permission to work in the garden, and is there a place where I can get the supplies and tools for it?”

The head nurse was dusting the banister with a green feather duster, buffing and polishing the railing until no trace of dust was left. When she heard Zahrah's call, she immediately placed the duster back in a cart filled with other janitorial tools and descended down the staircase, not a hair out of place nor a wrinkle of fabric in sight.

"Good morning, Mr./Ms. Fiore."

The head maid considered Zahrah's with a thoughtful expression, putting her thumb and index finger to her chin, while looking upwards and to the right.

"Well, I suppose we could use an extra hand. Garden shed is to the right- ask the gardeners for the key and tell them you have Ms. Reinford's permission. Our gardeners have already worked to patch up the damage; thankfully, the grass we use grows back quite quickly. However, if you wanted to work on the flowers or trimming hedges, I'm sure the gardeners wouldn't mind, as long as you told them what you were doing."

Reinford would give a small bow to Zahrah if they were to leave, or smile patiently as she answered any more questions.

Zahrah's request was granted, and he now had access to the garden. Now he could work with more precious flowers than just the ones among his fellow SOULs! “That's great, thanks~ I think I might even know some of the gardners, if they've ever worked on anything noteworthy~” Zahrah had, after all, met his fair share of colleagues in the gardening business. That's why he cheerfully waved goodbye to go look for the garden shed.

Lucia walked down the stairs after leaving her room, heading back to the dormitory lobby. As always, it was a luxurious place with multiple comfortable chairs and sofas to sit, along with a table and one of those weird screens which showed things in other places (the TV). Since Lysett asked to meet her here, Lucia sat on one of the chairs and looked over to the entrance hallway, waiting for Lysett to walk in.

Lysett's wearing Charisma's hat

Lysett stumbled upon Sho once again after leaving the mission hall, and used to opportunity to wave him goodbye since they might not meet again before their missions started. "Good luck in your mission, Sho! See you later!" Even though Sho's mission would probably be pretty hard, she felt like a team of him and Londo would be able to handle mostly anything Astrea could throw at them.

Lucia sent a message as Lysett walked to the dorm lobby, agreeing to her meeting. Lysett wondered whether or not she'd be able to convince Lucia to join; she'd most likely already have noticed the available mission, which meant she'd refused to take part in it. Lysett had the impression it'd be a tough nut to crack, but there weren't many healers available to take part in the mission, so she had to at least give it a try.

The Divine was already there once Lysett entered the lobby, approaching and greeting her. "Hello, Lucia. Did you wait long?" She took a seat besides Lucia, taking a moment to organize her thoughts before going to the point. "So, I guess you must've already noticed there's a request for an escort mission available, and our team's lacking a healer... The one we need to protect is an Unholy, so I know it's a bit selfish of me to ask you to participate, but could you please consider it? I don't know your reasons to dislike them, but I don't think an entire race can be inherently bad..." Her memories of the village defense mission wouldn't be disappearing anytime soon, and feeling hated solely due to her race felt pretty awful. "I had it happen to me not long ago: I got hated simply because I'm an elf, despite trying my best to help people out, and it made me feel extremely awful, especially since I did my best to try to help them out... I really don't think anyone deserves that sort of treatment. I'm sorry if I'm being nosy, but I really do think you should give every person a chance to prove themselves!" Lysett's expression was one of extreme conviction, and showed that she really believed in her own words and was trying to make Lucia change for the better, even if just a little.

After a little while, Lysett walked into the dormitory and forgot to take off her shoes and said hello, asking if she had to wait long. "Don't worry, it was only a few minutes~" It wasn't that much to ask, not when she wasn't busy anyways. Then Lucia waited, wondering what the elf girl was here for as she sat next to her and took a moment to think.

Then Lysett got to the point. She was on the escort mission, and their team had no healer...Lucia winced a little as she tried to be patient and listen to the rest of what Lysett had to say, but it was clearly bothering her. Lysett kept saying how she didn't think what Lucia thought of unholy was fair, and then talked about her own experience when people thought less of her once just for being an elf. She saw what Lysett was trying to say, and felt pity for how unfairly she'd been treated.

"I'm sorry they treated you that way, there's nothing wrong you..."

But then her tone changed as she continued on, becoming partly confused and the other part angered (but not at Lysett).

"You don't understand, the vampires are different from us..! They thirst for blood and feed on innocent people to survive, and when they do, they can turn their victims into ghouls forced to serve them, or even more vampires! I'm sorry, but I can't help you if it means protecting them and letting them take more lives..."

She calmed down a little at the last sentence, but it was still clear just how much resentment she had for the vampire race (and unholy in general). Everything she'd heard in her life and all her experiences had led her to what she was like now, and that definitely wasn't something that could change easily. Still, she felt sorry for Lysett and wished there was some way to make up for what had happened earlier, but not like this...

Passing through the Lobby to get to the cafeteria and later the mission hall, Alex saw Lysett was there, along with the blonde Divine he had seen casting resurrection magic in the parliament mission. It was curious that Lysett was here while having already signed up for the mission, as he remembered her being among current signups when checking available missions. Nonetheless, he didn't have much of a reason to get involved in whatever conversation they were having, so unless they said something to him, he would walk past them and head out the main doors, leaving the area.

Lysett's wearing Charisma's hat

It was clear that Lucia's prejudice against Unholy was deep rooted, and getting the Divine to change her mind would probably be as difficult as she expected. She waited for Lucia to calm down before speaking again, not intending to give up just yet. "I get what you mean, but I still don't think every vampire wants an undead army for himself... The mission details even mention that Celestia doesn't want to attack anyone unless it's a necessity. Couldn't some of them just be trying to get enough blood to survive, without killing anyone? I don't think they deserve to die simply because they were born as vampires..."

"I won't force you to come, but I'd be really grateful if you did... Besides, don't you think it'd be a good chance to settle this matter?" At that moment, Lysett decided that this was the last of her efforts to try and convince Lucia; it wouldn't be nice of her to keep bothering Lucia if she really didn't feel like joining, after all.

Lysett wasn't convinced even after all she said, which only confused Lucia more. She was sure an Elf of all people would understand. After all, their lands were closer to the front lines back in the war...

She kept asking Lucia to help, saying she didn't think all the vampires wanted to drink people and enslave their souls. According to the mission description which Lucia hadn't read, the vampire named "Celestia" didn't want to attack anyone unless it was necessary. It kind of offended Lucia that a vampire got a holy-sounding name like that, but the important part was that Lysett thought she and other vampires just wanted to survive, not drink people to death and turn them into ghouls or vampires like she thought. She also said it was a good chance to settle this matter. After everything she'd gone through, it was hard to believe there could be a 'good' vampire like Lysett said...but it was for that reason that she reluctantly decided to join.

"You're right, I do need to settle this...if you really think she is different, then I need to see it for myself. I will join, but only if she shows to be how you think she is."

All her experiences with vampires had been unpleasant to say the least, but they'd mostly just been in combat, so an encounter like this different for her. Since Lysett was so sure that they weren't like what Lucia thought, and because she felt like she owed Lysett for her mistake in that mission on the first day, Lucia had somehow ended up joining this mission. It didn't help that their team might be doomed without her help, since there were no other healers at all available who were willing to join, and she certainly wouldn't ask the adorable halfling Amice to go fight a battle for her...There was also another mission available, and as much as it would have been easier for her to do that, I can't join a mission I'm overseer of she couldn't go back on what she said and needed to know if there was any truth to what Lysett thought. Besides, it wasn't like she had to keep helping them if they found any proof that Celestia actually had done something wrong.

So, if Lysett was satisfied with her only joining on a condition, Lucia would leave the area with Lysett, heading to the mission hall. She just hoped no one would ask her to heal the vampire considering her light magic wouldn't be healthy for vampires even if she wanted to heal them.

Lysett's wearing Charisma's hat

Lysett's face lighted up as she heard Lucia's reluctant yet positive reply. It was clear she still had her doubts and was joining partly to prove Lysett wrong, but it didn't matter in the end. "Alright, that's fine! Thanks for this, Lucia. I can't assure you she'll be a good person, but I really hope she can prove you wrong this time. Wouldn't it be nice if you could end up finding a good friend in a former enemy?" She stood up with a warm smile on her face, glad that she had a chance to prove her point to Lucia and maybe end up turning her into an even sweeter person.

As she was about to leave the area, Lysett remembered about Charisma's hat and what happened back in the Londo versus Sho fight. She really didn't want to lose that hat, and going on one dangerous mission after the other with it on was bound to make her lose it eventually. "Oh, I just remembered something! I'll go drop this hat in my room real quick, and I'll be right back!" She hastily went upstairs and into her room, carefully placing Charisma's hat over her bed before going back into the lobby. "There, now I won't lose it. The others should still be waiting at the Mission Hall, so let's go there first." She would then walk towards the door where she noticed she forgot to take her shoes off, but thankfully Elizabeth wasn't around to get mad at her. "Sorry Elizabeth!" and leave the area.

When Zahrah searched for Elizabeth, it wasn't long before she appeared before him, as if out of thin air. As always, she was wherever she needed to be to help the inhabitants of the dormitory, especially someone as helpful as Zahrah. "Good afternoon, and thank you for helping with the garden earlier~" His (Elizabeth had her ways of not being fooled by his appearance) question was about how to travel somewhere, specifically the mountain to the west famous for its height as the tallest in its mountain range, which gave ice climbers brave enough to reach the top a nice view. "Mt. Alban? I can see why you want to go there; I've heard it has a beautiful view~" Elizabeth completely understood, since it had been a popular destination for mountain climbers and tourists a decade ago.

Then Elizabeth got a little more serious as she gave them a warning. "Sadly, it is now infested with Calamity Seeds...One of Astraea's research labs on the mountain was tragically destroyed a few days ago, so please only go there if you're certain you can defend yourselves." If they were willing to accept the risks, she'd continue to talk about how to get there. "If that isn't enough to stop you, then I believe the best way there would be by Vanibo. The company-owned Vanibos are only available for missions, but there are plenty of people in the city willing to provide transportation for the right price~" For a trip that far, it'd cost a bit of money, but it'd most likely be affordable for them considering how much they earned on missions. A plane would be overkill, and while vehicles were an option as well, they were rather boring in comparison, so Vanibos were the best choice in her obviously correct opinion.

If they left after that, she'd say goodbye to the group of SOULs. "Good luck, and be careful!"

(OOC Note: It is possible for the group to immediately skip to the Mt. Alban thread if they wish and handle the transportation offscreen, or as part of their post in the Mt. Alban thread. The cost will be 1,000 Yoki per person, totaling 4,000. The amount each character contributes to the total cost is up to them.)

After having stashed her candies, April dashed. Sprinting downstairs and she'd manage to slow down to not make an awkward impression, she would appear before Elizabeth and rest. Spotting Zahrah made April feel flustered but she couldn't hide herself as she had too much momentum. So instead she would just walk next to him in a quick pace and listen to what Elizabeth had to say. The first thing that came to April's mind was borrowing the vanibo's from the company and apologize later as it wasn't really possible to get a permission. It's not like she explicitly said no. Therefore she thought it was probably going to be alright.

(as it's slightly unclear when Zahrah inquired how April was doing -- she would give a very coy nod as a response, accompanied by a quiet voice that was impossible to be heard. Almost as if her words were jumbled.)

Unlike his female companions, Geno had no intentions of storing the candy for later. He enjoyed the treat as he made his way back to the dormitories, quite pleased with the new flavor he discovered. Once there, Geno just played the waiting game while the others stored the candy. Once they returned and Elizabeth answered to Zahrah on her quest for a ride to the so awaited Mount Alban, an idea to avoid further debts on his end towards Zahrah popped in his head... But Zahrah shot first, so he obliged "i'm not quite sure to what could I compare it, but it is for sure not good." after a few seconds of awkward silence on his end, Geno cleared his nonexistent throat to catch Zahrah's attention if he had lost it, in order to add "I think an extra vanibo for me is too much... Actually, why don't I just merge with one of you? And since we're probably up against some foes, I could also protect whoever I merge with a little" excited that he could have a chance to help in a combat situation for once...

Amphion entered the Dormitory Lobby alongside the others, Sara trotting beside him. The hellhound sniffed at the air, tasting the new scents as they came. Amphion watched his canine companion with a smile, she had eaten four of the six macarons on the way here. Amphion didn't mind of course, he loved to share. Amphion had eaten the other two and found them to be absolutely delicious. He hung back from the rest of the group as they greeted the maid, he looked around the Lobby with his arms crossed.

"Looks nice enough!" Sara said to him. Amphion nodded his agreement. "Astraea are obviously pretty wealthy by the looks of all this fancy furniture. About what you would expect from a company who can summon souls from other dimensions!" he said quietly in response. While he said it quietly, the others would most likely hear him even though he was directing it towards Sara.

Amphion listened to what the maid said about Mt. Alban and frowned when she mentioned the Vanibos and the cost. He would let Zahrah respond to the maid first but approached him afterwards to voice his concern, "Sorry for interrupting but I just wanted to say that I don't have any money yet and I wouldn't feel comfortable taking any more money from anyone. I think I might just hang back here with Sara if paying for transportation is our only option."

The maid thanked him for the garden-work, but it was nothing to thank him for. “No problem, I enjoy doing it~ Please let me know when there's more to be done~” It seemed like she also knew the mountain quite well. “That's also what I heard!” However, she warned them about the calamity seeds. “I'm sure we'll be fine, right? At worst, we'll only save ourselves a trip back to Yvalia~” Zahrah wasn't too afraid of dying again. “Do you happen to have an address for one of such companies? I'd rather not end up with the most expensive one~”

As for April, (the when was unclear so you could fill it in yourself), Zahrah didn't quite get her. April wasn't the only one he didn't get though, as Geno confused him. The part about him not tasting good was clear enough, and Zahrah managed to suppress his desire to test it, but the other part... “Doing what-now? I'm sorry, I've got no idea of what this merging think you're talking about is! That said, I'm always willing to try new stuff~” Zahrah sure was.

Sadly enough, there was a spoilsport in their midsts. Zahrah wouldn't have any of it. “No, no, no, that won't do~ There's no fun in going there without having a nice group to go with! How about I hire you for the fee of whatever the transport will cost? I've earned almost a month's worth, just from going on a fishing trip yesterday, so I'll gladly pay for this~”

Other SOULs arrived along with Zahrah, making for an unusual group indeed. They included a shy red-haired girl, a rare case of an actual adult who didn't have an anime picture, a tiny blob that talked, and...

"Sorry, but pets aren't allowed in the dormitory~"

Elizabeth reminded Amphion politely, being lenient since he most likely just didn't know the rule. Other than that, she would let Zahrah know the address of a company that could provide transportation for a reasonable price unlike Rosalia did for her potions.

"I recommend (Insert Company Name); their Vanibos are among the swiftest, and their prices aren't too unreasonable~ You can find them at (Insert Address)."

Then the group had the classic issue of someone not being able to pay, but not wanting to burden others either. How they handled that was up to them, but either way, she would wish for their safety as they ventured out into dangerous territory.

(OOC Note: Unfortunately, I don't have the time to make the lore for an entire corporation, but since that part can be handled offscreen, it shouldn't be necessary. All you need to post is the amount of Yoki each person would pay, which can be done in either this thread or the Mt. Alban thread.)

While everyone else was curious about prices. April was really thinking about 'borrowing' vanibo's from Astraea. It was not like they were going to need them. However then Fiore mentioned that he had a lot of money. April would try to speak out loudly but she sounded almost whimpering as she tried to join up: "I ... I have worked really hard. I can help to pay for" ... <*Counting with fingers*> ..."at least this much." April held up an arbitrary number of fingers in air and she wasn't quite sure what was going to be the final number. The unfortunate reality of never having to bother with calculus in her life was backfiring. April was exasperated to her own behavior. Her voice wasn't quite coming up as she was intending it.

As for her plan of "borrowing", it was probably going to be on hold as the group was quite lawful.

Zahrah seemed adamant about Amphion coming, while he didn't want to take any more money from his new overly-generous friend, he knew that it would be rude to refuse. He understood the desire to do something for others and that it - more often than not - made the person feel good to do so. Amphion sighed but gave Zahrah a big smile, "Alright, if you insist. But once I get enough money I'm paying you back or at least getting you something in return." A dinner date perhaps

The maid addressed Amphion, saying that no pets were allowed. Amphion gave the woman an amiable grin and gestured towards Sara, "Oh Sara isn't a pet, she's my friend. She's just as intelligent as any of us!" he explained with a lighthearted tone. Sara trotted over to the maid and, if she would allow it, would brush up against her leg. She would then telepathically communicate to the maid, "I may look like a pet, I can understand the confusion, most people think the same. Amphion and I have been friends for years though, we're pretty much inseparable."

Amphion also arrived at the lobby with Sara, but at the moment, Geno just wanted to show his worth a little to Zahrah. Geno enthusiastically told Zahrah ''Alright, I think we're better off if we just do it... Give me a hug Zahrah." Once Zahrah obliged, Geno would add Ok, don't freak out, this might feel a little weird, but it won't hurt." Now that the disclaimer was given, and he received consent, Geno would start the merging process.
Zahrah would feel like the warm softness of Geno would spread a little across his chest, then, it would feel like tickles all over the area Geno was entering through, spreading to his insides. Once Geno had fully entered, Zahrah would feel the tickles spreading all over. Finally, Zahrah would feel a pleasing warmth all over his body.

After noting down the name and address of the company in his COMB, he thanked Elizabeth. “Thank you~” With that, the first thing on the checklist could be crossed off.

Next up was April's attempt at contributing, although Zahrah had to move closer towards her to hear what she was saying, even at the 10x standards. It seemed like she was able to contribute 3. Zahrah wasn't sure if that was 3 Yoki, 300 Yoki, 3000 Yoki, or if it was just an arbitrary amount of fingers held up, but he felt like asking her to specify it would be mean. “That's great, but you don't have to worry about it~”

It seems like he had managed to convince Amphion, and he'd even get something in return. Netflix and chill works too. “Sounds like a plan~” He'd leave trying to get Sara accepted up to Amphion.

After all, Geno had his full and total attention right now. The companion blob wanted to 'just do it', right here and now. It seemed like Geno had a rather daring taste. Even so, Geno wasn't all that crude, as he at least wanted to start it off with a hug. “Eh, sure~” Zahrah wasn't quite sure how this would go, but that was where the fun was at. Thus, he'd pick Geno up for a big ol' hug. In the process of doing so, Geno informed him that it would feel weird, but that it wouldn't hurt. “Alright, just be gentle~” It was the only right thing to say in reply to such a thing.

Zahrah soon felt his body covered in warmth, as Geno became one with him. It was indeed quite a weird sensation to have Geno enter him, one that tickled deeply into his insides. However, once Geno finished, Zahrah felt a pleasing warmth all over his body. “This is... rather odd, but comfortable as well~ You two should try it as well~” Zahrah said towards Amphion and April. After all, Zahrah was all about sharing and caring.

Amphion had an objection to the no pets rule, saying his dog wasn't actually his pet and was as intelligent as any of them were. A strange sense of deja vu came over Elizabeth, and the pet then decided to touch her...and talk telepathically. Even Elizabeth was a little surprised, but not as much as you'd expect. After all, she could already see that this wasn't an ordinary dog even before the telepathy.

"A psychic dog, how unique~ I see she isn't a pet to you, but a dog is still a dog. They track in dirt all over the floor, and their fur just gets everywhere...So please, don't keep her summoned in the dormitory."

Thinking back, this actually wasn't the first time she had this conversation. A long time ago when the last batch of SOULs were still in this dormitory, there had in fact been a summoner with a similar question, but the answer was the same as it was then. Amphion would just need to keep her in her pokeball unsummoned when he was in the dormitory.

Other than that, the living blob apparently wanted to use some power to merge with one of them, and Zahrah was surprisingly was just fine with it. As lewd strange as it was, it was none of her business what happened between consenting adults.

"Are there any more questions? If not, goodbye, and good luck~"

If they had nothing else to say, Elizabeth would disappear into the void, leaving the area.

"Oh, okay." April would give a happy smile as a response. She was not really sure how much money it would have been so it was probably best that, if Zahrah was handling with the purchase. And she found it difficult to speak against him, despite her urge to assist. Then the goo, did something ... questionable.

April failed to process what she just saw. This heavily disrupted her link to the throne and that subsequently caused her to frozen for a moment. How convenient that she would freeze at this point where she has no idea how to react to the episode with Zahrah and the blob. It was truly the SOUL level of denial. Completely disbelieving it.

The maid was adamant that no pets were allowed in the dormitory, Amphion frowned a little but knew there was no point arguing. He smiled at the maid as she left, "Alright, understood. Sorry for the inconvenience!" Personally, he didn't really understand her reasoning. From what he had seen on the COMB there was a race of beastkind, surely if her concern was that Sara would be getting the dormitory all dirty then the same would be true for beastkind. A beastkind would shed fur and dirt would stick to their fur as well, meaning that they essentially had the same effect of making the dormitory dirty.

Nonetheless, Amphion knew that there was little he could do in this case, he would simply desummon Sara from now on and just resummon her when he got to his room. That way the maid wouldn't know. Amphion didn't mind bending the rules a little, especially if it meant he could spend more time with his friends. Amphion turned around just in time to witness an extremely strange sight, Geno seemed to morph into Zahrah.

Zahrah didn't seem to mind, in fact, he seemed to actually enjoy the sensation of it. He enjoyed it so much that he even recommended that Amphion and April try. Amphion smiled but politely declined, "Ahhh, no thank you. That process might interfere with my ability to summon and desummon Sara." While this may have been true, it was mainly just an excuse to refuse the offer. He didn't particularly like the idea of a blob morphing into his body. If the rest of the group was ready to go, Amphion would follow them out of the dormitory.

Geno would take a couple of seconds before actually doing anything, making sure he properly covered Zahrah. She seemed pleased by the result, but the other two didn't comment much on it, which was odd, he thought they would be more surprised. By the time they were leaving, Geno had properly attached to Zahrah's body. Everything seemed to be in order, except for one little detail.

As if the normal voices in his head and Sara's voice weren't enough already, Geno's voice was now added to the mix as well. Zahrah shrugged his shoulder to the comment, and if he could reply back in thought alone, he'd add; 'There's no need to worry about those kinds of details~'

As for Elizabeth, there were no more questions, and it seemed like Amphion couldn't charm Elizabeth into accepting his pet into the dormitory. “No, we're good~ Thanks miss Elizabeth~”

The world, was empty...

Londo felt it as he made his way to the Dormitory. It was the same day, of course, but it felt like the dormitory had a few months of neglect and abandonment. Of course, noone else would feel this way. Londo himself was an anomoly, able to break the 4th wall on a whim. Normally in this situation, he wouldn't be able to, but this world was dead, over and done with, and nothing else mattered, not even if Londo broke a few rules.

"You know?... I'm really sad." Londo said, walking past the lobby and up the stairs to his room, "This place... I'm sure the memories I've had of it will last forever in my memory. Even if everyone else forgets, I won't. This place was definitely the best." Londo said, making his way through the deserted halls and opening the door to his room. Once inside, Londo made his way to the dresser, and pulled out a small locket, with a note inside it. The letters and writing on the note were already faded beyond being legilbility, but Londo knew it was because noone could remember what was written on it, and so the note could not be read.

Londo tucked the note into his pocket, then sent a quick message to Lucia:

"There's somethign really important I need to talk to you about. Can you come to the dormitory lobby?"
"

Londo reread the message, smirking at the typo he made. After all, it was what made him human, right?

He then sent the message to her, "What do you think, Alice?"

Alice appeared, next to Londo, in the flesh, as if any normal person could see her. Of course, this wasn't usually the case, but rules were made to be broken, and noone cared if Alice broke these rules anymore. So if anyone was there with Londo, they'd see her as well. At least, until Londo entered the Lobby once more, sitting down on the couch with his arms draped over the back, although Londo could still hear her voice, "I think I'd have to agree. It was pretty fun to watch it all."

"Yea..." Londo said, staring at the television that was currently turned off with blank eyes.

With the mission in Valindral complete, Lucia returned to the city of Yvalia, flying above the main road to avoid encountering any more enemies by herself. Her magic definitely wasn't suited to single combat. On the way back, she noticed a village between the two cities, which must have been the 'Abberton Village' shown on the map. There were signs of recent combat, with the main doorway to the central building being nearly destroyed, and some of the soldiers there were injured. Fortunately, they had succeeded in repelling the recent CS assault without any casualties, but it hadn't been easy. She was no stranger to seeing the effects of war, so she knew it could get much worse than this. Just like in her own life, they were up against an enemy who couldn't be reasoned with (at least so she thought).

Was that man telling the truth..? Are these monsters truly on the side of the earth? No, it can't be that...

Lucia was still disturbed by the implication that the CS were actually caused by the planet somehow retaliating against people draining its magical energy. It was hard to believe, but if it was true it would completely explain why the monsters strangely did not attack other animals, even ones they previously hunted before they changed.

Luckily, a message from her bracelet took her mind off of that. It was from the somewhat insane and self-obsessed metal man, Londo. He was acting unusually serious, saying there was something important he needed to talk to her about.

It must be very important if even he takes it seriously...

In response, she sent her own message to Londo, although it took some time since she was still getting used to this modern technology.

I was just completing a mission in the city of Valindral. It may take a while, but I'll be there as soon as I can.

Eventually, Lucia made her way back to the city and then to the dormitory lobby within Astraea HQ. Inside, she found only Londo sitting on the couch in the lobby. It was unusually empty for a main gathering area in a place where so many people lived, but it was convenient since it seemed like Londo wanted to talk about this in private. She had to take a moment to catch her breath, tired from overusing her magic in the mission and then flying back here.

"I'm sorry I took so long...It was a long mission, and very difficult. What was it you wanted to talk about?"

She listened more than usual this time, realizing whatever he had to say must have been important.

It took a while, but Lucia had finally arrived. Londo gave a small wave to her, beckoning for her to sit next to him, "How was it? Your mission I mean. Tell me all about it. I still got a bit of time left." Londo said, leaning back further into his seat.

Of course, time was relative, he could stay here as long as he wanted, or none at all, gone in a flash before anyone could realize. He just wanted to spend a few more minutes with one of the people who started it all. The one he started it with.

Londo glanced at his COMB, but saw nothing left, save for Lucia's ID. The first people he had been with, all the way up to the last people he had been with. All gone. Kim, whom Londo had shared his first Rank Up Mission with, had been gone for a while, but Londo did not realize until now that she had been gone. It made Londo feel sad, but he at least took some small comfort that Sho was still here, that Lucia was able to talk to him a little while longer. Who knows, maybe he could even spend the rest of eternity here. Just him in this room, with a fading Lucia as he tried to hold on to the world that meant the most to him.

But it wouldn't work. Alice, who appeared for a small moment, a fragment, or a ghost, leaning against the wall, shook her head at Londo, as if she knew his thoughts, that he did not want to leave. For he had to.

Lucia sat down next to Londo when he offered her to, enjoying the comfortable couch. One of the positives of being stuck in the distant future and fighting yet another war was how luxurious their new home was. Londo was strangely being more patient than usual as well by letting her talk first, which only confused her even more. Something really was different about him today...

Lucia thought back to her own mission and sighed. Even though she succeeded, it had been anything but satisfying. "We were tasked with escorting a...businesswoman named Celestia to the city of Valindral." She didn't want to admit to helping a vampire, still unsure if she had done the right thing. "Many monsters attacked our group in the plains, but we defeated them without too many injuries." She remembered that battle had been relatively easy, with the power they'd gained from their 'rank up' making it simple to dispose of a horde that would have been a lot of trouble before.
"It was in the 'Giant's Fingers' where our journey became difficult...We had to fend off one of Celestia's rivals who claimed she had cheated him out of a deal, and he was a powerful sorceror. In the end, we drove him off without any losses, but some of us were nearly exhausted by that."

Then Lucia shook her head in disappointment as she remembered their final challenge. "Sadly, that battle was nothing compared to what we had to fight in the marshes just before we could reach the city. A giant beast disguised as a rock ambushed us. It was like the basilisks of myth, able to turn people to stone with but a glance, but it was much larger. My magic had no effect on it, and blades and arrows barely left a scratch..." She sighed, regretting how it had ended. "In the end, it was far too powerful for us to defeat. All we could do was flee for our lives, and Lysett, Alexander, and Edward lost theirs to buy us time to escape..." Lucia knew they were supposed to come back to life now that they were some kind of summoned spirit rather than mortal beings, but that didn't extinguish rid of the fear lingering in the back of her mind. The fear that like so many others, they would just disappear and not return again.

"Even so, we succeeded in our mission. But that's enough about me...What is it you wan-" Lucia cut herself off when she suddenly saw a woman leaning on the wall and shaking her head at Londo, but she disappeared as soon as she had appeared...

"Londo...Was it only me, or did you see that too?" Lucia looked off to where she had seen the woman appear with an anxious look, worried that Londo's insanity might have been rubbing off on her...

Londo nodded as he listened to Lucia go on about her mission. She had seen sacrifice. Fortunately, as they were SOULs, their sacrifices would not be that bad, they could just come back to life after all.

Londo waved off to Lucia as she rambled on thinking she was crazy, "As I said Lucia, I don't have much time left, maybe a few hours at most. Alice is just here to make sure I don't do anything I can regret. I told you about her before, remember?"

Londo said, then shifted forward in his seat, "Anyways. I brought you here to tell the truth. My time left here in this world is limited. I travel between worlds, living a different life every time. I wanted to say goodbye to Kim too, seeing as she was with us on our first rankup, but she's already gone, so it's only you right now."

Londo sighed, putting his head in a hand, "I'm not gonna lie: I liked this world the best. The interactions, the people, the power I've gotten. Every world I visit I start back at level 1, as powerless as ever. Having to earn it all back is fun, but I just wish I could spend a bit more time in each world." Londo said, now pulling out the locket, "This is also unrelated, but remember our rank up mission? Remember Maron? I- I couldn't save her... I lied to you and Kim..." He said, putting the locket away and his head in his hands, "She died. Some body in a coat came, and he killed her. My biggest regret now before leaving this world was that I couldn't even avenge her. Vulcanus was trying to provide for her. We tried to stop him, but he still wouldn't see reason, and she died without any family left, not even knowing I was there, while her eyes stared blankly ahead..." Londo said, staring blankly ahead at the television.

Londo surprised her by saying that the girl she saw was not only real, but her name was Alice. The voice Londo claimed was in his head, the one she thought was just a sign of his insanity. He also said he only had a few hours left because he was...a traveler between worlds? It was hard to believe, but with the way he was talking so differently he might have really been telling the truth...

However, that wasn't all he had to say, and what came next was something she wasn't prepared for. The poor girl they had accidentally made an orphan of, Maron...was dead. He had been lying all this time. Lucia gasped, left in a stunned silence as he went on to say how a mysterious man in a cloak showed up out of nowhere and killed her, for no apparent reason other than the plot demanding it. Right after Lucia and Kim had left Londo alone with her.

"N-no...that can't be true!" Lucia didn't want to believe it, realizing what it meant. "I'm sorry...this is all my f-fault..! If I had just stayed one minute longer, we could have s-stopped him!" Her voice was choking up, unable to accept the situation. Of course, she didn't know that even three E rank SOULs probably wouldn't have stood a chance against the Organization 13 ripoff extremely powerful cloaked man. Especially not three exhausted E rank SOULs.

Londo laughed in response to Lucia, "No, I was the one who told the both of you to go while I tried to help her. If anything it weas my fault. Besides, he was way too strong even for me to break out of the attack he used." Londo stood up from the couch, stretching, " But that's in the past. Even if I had the time, I probably couldn't even stop him now. This regret will stay a regret. Not that it matters anyways..."

He then started walking towards the door, "But before I go Lucia, mind taking a walk with me? We're gonna go one last place before I disappear."

If Lucia accepted, Londo would lead the way to their next, and last, destination.

Londo tried to take the blame for himself, and said he would have been too strong anyways. Thinking back to the painful battle, her magic had already run dry by that point...even so, she could have at least tried to shield that poor girl with her body. She could come back from death now, but normal people couldn't...

"Who would do such a thing in the first place..?! That poor girl did nothing to anyone but try to survive in those awful slums...Only a monster could kill her for no reason!"

However, she wasn't sure what that word meant anymore. Were the unholy truly monsters? One of the friends she made here insisted otherwise, and the vampire she just met at least seemed to have good intentions. On the other hand, another vampire she'd met in this life was to put it simply, a jerk...But even he didn't seem cruel enough to do something like this. Lucia sighed, realizing that she might never know who this mysterious man was or why he did what he did...but that didn't mean she couldn't try. If he had known what happened with Vulcanus and had some connections with him, then they could try to track him down.

"Londo, if you truly have to go to another world, then please don't regret this...It wasn't your fault he did something so terrible, and you did your best to stop him." Then, in a rare moment of hostility, her voice turned cold as she continued. "You can leave the rest to me. I promise I will find him...and I will avenge Maron." It was one of the few times she felt the desire for revenge. She might not have had the power to do it herself anymore, but she could help others in doing so, and no amount of deaths could stop her.

She followed Londo to wherever it was he wanted to go, leaving the area.
