Geez, they can't even have an onsen in peace.

Pretty meh episode but I'm glad it's over. Guy and Kakashi made this episode more watchable with their usual personalities. Same with Shikamaru somewhat.

Ok just wokeup, watched it since fairy gone hasn’t released yet, as usual, not great, not bad, was cool to see Hidan that’s about it, trap was obvious from the get go

I do hope mirai gets to see asuna some way some day

I’m glad she got some screen time and development too

Guy spitting that real shit with “it doesn’t even matter, I’m still alive” everyday you wake up is a good day

I just want manga content

I felt like this episode desperately tried to connect Mirai to Hidan as part of a revenge plot as much as possible, and it failed. I hope there won't be any more episodes of Mirai trying to connect with Asuma, because that shit has been milked too much and the titty is so dry!

Wondering when will this series start already? All we had so far were worthless arcs, which some were repetitive from the Naruto/Naruto shippuden series.

This, the guy had a nice design and a good VA but he was cringe in the plot. He did talk facts about the current era sucking and how he should have been born during Hidan's lifetime lol.

Glad the arc is over.

Well a nice conclusion to Mirai's arc. Gd thng she found out what The King means. Also i was expecting to see kakashi and guy in action but guess i was expecting too much thou Mirai was pretty bad ass in this episode considering boruto fights.

Well, at least there's no plot hole for this arc. And had some Kakashi x Guy moments.

The answer Mirai try to find is on her own name.

And I'm just gonna drop this :

113 "The Defining Characteristics of a Commander" June 30, 2019
114 "The Gemaki Proxy War!" July 7, 2019

Good ep but this hidan wannabe was disappointing . I also expected a longer fight and wanted some gai and kakashi action but it's ok
The arc was ok overall. It's one of my least fav arcs of boruto . If it was 3 or 4 eps instead of 6 it would be a loooot better , the ghost ep especially should never exist . It was one of the worst and most boring eps in boruto

Anyway next eps seem good and interesting :D

Finally, it’s come to an end, the Mirai Arc.

Pretty boring arc over all but it was nice to see Mirai growing up through the arc and that little Kakashi and Guy moment was glorious! Cheap villain yet again. Lol, this turned out to be an investigation mission after all. Kakashi’s really good at keeping these things a secret and it’s typical of him to push the report duties to her. ‘Mirai’ name origin was pretty obvious the whole time but it’s good that she’s in an unusually good mood. Seeing Boruto after so long was actually pleasing, who would’ve thought? Shikamaru, meanwhile, destroys yet another opponent, how typical.

Next episode will be very important, it seems. But more importantly, it’s time for a new arc and here’s to hoping it’ll be a good one.

Like that the Land of steam arc is over. Satisfying, though I were hoping the fight with Mirai would last a bit longer. That's the problem with the fights in Boruto. They are over too quickly. Even the fight between Team 7 (with Sai) vs. substitute Itachi was longer than this. Either way, the story was good and actually better than most of the other arcs.

Yes, there is.

It's the phantom Samurai. We never knew anything about him, but the show tried to give us to understand that it existed.

Well from my POV it's just meant as a joke or Guy's hallucination. So I don't really see it as a plot hole.

Damn! That opening with Shikamaru's report was dope! Are these scenes with Asuma and Hidan HD remakes or am I trippin'?

Ha! This guy falling for Mirai's bluff, what a tool. Mirai would have been a great shinobi if she was born during any of the shinobi wars. She's a natural

I do have to admit. This new jashin follower speaks the truth. This generation does feel like an add on to a glorious age of shinobi...

Nice shot Mirai! I wish the fight could have gone on a little bit longer, getting to see Mirai in a little bit of real action was totally worth the build up! Can we just scrap Boruto and start a Mirai series? It would be a thousand times better than this shit show

What an awesome ending to this arc! Mirai finds a real connection to her father, how ever small it might be. I'm glad Guy sensai was finally able to close the chapter on his youth, though I'm sure his exaggerated and brimming persona won't be going away anytime soon.

Now it's back to the adventures of Boruto... fuck...

The Mitsuki disappearance arc was astronomically worse! Mirai was actually an interesting character, but I agree, could have definitely been cut down to 4 episodes

Mirai arc had a lot of slice of life and some of it was boring and terrible like the ghost ep. It started as an interesting arc but i didn't care after 3 eps. I liked some moments though and the first and last eps were good
I have already said my opinion about the arc anyway
I didn't like mitsuki arc that much too but i find it better than this
it's definitely disappointing because It had a very interesting premise :
-An arc centered on mitsuki (the most interesting character of the new generation for me) who tries to find his will and to know whether his actions are from his own will or if everything is just programmed in him
-Boruto and sarada contact orochimaru
-sarada meets karin for the first time
-Visiting Ryuuchi cave which is a very interesting place
-Aoda (sasuke's snake) saves and obeys sarada
-Boruto makes a contact with a snake
-artificial humans and creatures (exploring their will, how they feel toward humans , their abilities...)
-Ohnoki is the mastermind
-sarada can possibly unlock the second tomoe of her sharingan (i don't know why they missed the opportunity to do that . They were under a lot of dangers in the arc)
On paper this arc is excellent but the execution is very bad . The pace is very slow ,many episodes were boring and unnecessary that keep repeating the same dialogues and many things were badly done (the stupid tasks before entering ryuuchi cave, the whole thing about boruto and ohnoki being trapped in Sanzu Plains , the 4th tsuchikage loses easily, ohnoki's death wasn't well done and it's not sad(this is the first time i don't like a death scene in the whole naruto/boruto series ! The deaths in naruto were extremely epic and sad )...even the last fight wasn't that good (the other fights were pretty good though)
The thing with boruto and garaga and how they can communicate with each other like that was never explained . Maybe it's an ability of the jougan and they'll explain it one day but i doubt it
I was so disappointed and pissed .it could be an excellent arc if only they made a little effort in the execution and directing and made the arc shorter :(
It's average but overall the arc had its good moments and fights and the general story is good

I got the same kind of slice of life vibes from this arc as well, I think that's why I enjoyed it so much. And it was a refreshing change of pace not focusing on Boruto for a couple weeks. At this point the filler has beat his character down into our heads, the lack of progression in his character is extremely frustrating to watch week in and week out.

This was really well written because I think this sums up the majority of the fan base's gripe with this series. There is an interesting world, and the writers do well enough to set us up to be hooked in, but then ultimately falls flat and we return back to the village with the characters seemingly unchanged, or have not learned anything over the course of the arcs.

I shouldn't have said the Mitsuki arc was astronomically worse, because like you've pointed out, was a good arc in theory, but execution was very poor. They totally botched Ohnoki and Ku was probably the most fodder baddie this show has produced other than that bird dude (who's name is slipping my mind right now). Mitsuki's development with the Fabrications was really interesting to me as well but pacing of a 20+ episode arc could have easily been cut down closer to 10 with a more direct focus on Mitsuki

Slice of life eps aren't a new thing in boruto . Between every arcs they put 3 or 4 slice of life eps generally focusing one of boruto's friends and even in the serious arcs there are always some slice of life eps/moments like mist village arc .
Adding slice of life to the arcs isn't bad imo but when the arc is only focusing on slice of life it gets boring especially when some eps of the arc are pointless
It's true that watching mirai and my boys kakashi and gai was refreshing but i feel like the anime is giving side characters of the new generation too much screen time which makes the story progression so slow (that's the point of the fillers though xD)

so that's the end of this arc, there's a manga of this right? Feel like I should read that and see how it compares to the adaptation.

and the preview shows some shinobi bureaucracy, planning a chunin exams I guess? although the subs said chunin selection, maybe they will change the format of it a bit.
