| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- As a person who can't get into anime no matter how hard I try, I was surprised how hyped I was when my brother told me that the episode was released. There's something about the charm of this show that is so attracting. I'm so happy that they did what they should have done, bring kid Keita back. Interested in what they have to show us now. |

| Have always been interested in Youkai Watch before, glad they made a new season so that newcomers can join in on the fun. But it doesn't look like it's getting a lot of attention here. |

| Question: based on the fact that the series is back under its "regular" title, I suppose that the storyline started with the 4th movie (Oni-ô no fukkatsu) set during the next generation has been either cancelled or closed. Wich one is it? This 2019 restart of the series is a continuation of the initial generation, isn't it? |

| The start felt a bit weird with no Whisper, Jibanyan or a Youkai Watch to be seen, and I guess that Keita's life is really too normal without the youkai, but it turns out that he had forgot about them because of a mischief by Wasurenbou. Good thing Hikikoumori saw it and made Whisper and Jibanyan take action. xD The unfunny fart gag was a bit much, but it was nice to see them trying their best to make Keita notice them and remember. It's also nice how they asked Koma-san and Komajirou for help, and that Fubuki-hime and Merameraion were between the youkai Keita remembered first. Poor Whisper though, no mercy right from the start. lol Of course Keita remembers him, right? And I loved the 4-koma with Koma-san and Komajirou, I hope it's a recurring segment. The OP is also good! It's "Kera Kera Ho" instead of "Gera Gera Po", but it still feels nostalgic while being fresh. The ED is also nice since it's a "continuation" of the first one, and I knew something was weird. So he moved to that new house and is now Fumi-chan's neighbor, huh. This and the Youkai Watch Elder, all going smoothly so that Natsume and Keisuke may exist someday. lol Oh, and Whisper cosplaying as his Shadowside self for a moment was cool. xD I loved Shadowside, but I would be lying if I said that I didn't miss this formula. |
