Nanoka ends up with Hayata thanks to Takato. I think it was the most fitting ending to this manga. Takato remained the true protagonist of the manga and by allowing Nanoka to be with Hayata, he elevated his character in the end.

More like reformed villain. I don't see how anyone could call him a protagonist after the terrible shit he pulled. It makes sense that she would end up with Hayata.

Thanks for all work you did in updating this site to the current chapter Your comments were refreshing after reading how this manga was trashed on Otakumole.
The treatment of Takato reminded me of the redemption of Maria's father in Akuma to Song who raped her mother and eventually caused her mother's suicide He was redeemed by becoming a priest That story and art was done by Toumori, Miyoshi who also did the art in Nanoka.
The big problem that people have with both series is that a lot of people seemed to believe that no one can be redeemed once they have done something bad Personally I like redemption stories It gives me hope that maybe I too can be redeemed

Redemptions can be good if done right.

Takato did redeem himself by letting Nanoka go. He wouldn't have redeemed himself if he stayed with her considering all the terrible shit he did to her.

Team Hayata all the way, but couldn't help but felt sad for Takato. =( I'm a sucker for second male leads. I am glad he did get a chance to be with Nanoka so he could get to experience what love was and realize what needed to be done.

Even though the story felt somewhat lacking towards the end, I'm glad to be finished with this crazy roller coaster ride! 7/10

I'm glad she ended up with Hayata. I never liked Takato to begin with anyway. The past needs to stay in their own lane, son.

My note for this manga: 6/10

Actually, each single character made mistakes, even Hayata, indecisions, errors, bad options taken, weak minded behaviors, and in the end the character I less liked was Nanoka. She was the one who made all the mess to be honest. She didn't deserved any of the boys so I feel sad for both Takato and Hayata for what they went through due to her own selfishness and unusual plus excessive fears.
Nanoka was selfish since the very beginning doing things on a whim. (I like your voice and words so go out with me so I can forget my ex! wtf? I don't even care if you ended your relationship with your last girlfriend... It was love at first sight so I can't let it go. NO!) - Practically the same base selfish thought she did with Takato? Yeah, let's go out just because you were the first one asking me...so maybe I can fall for you too... OMG!

Aside of that the manga is full of drama after drama, with no sense just for the sake of broken hearts. Many questions unanswered and loose ends. She ended with Hayata still thinking on Takato? What?... How can a person be madly in love with 2 people? Plus, what about the kiss she never actually explained correctly to Hayata that made his poor innocent heart to crumble?

This manga is a real mess and the psycho was the worst ingredient ever made...we don't know anything more than his crazy love ideas mission...

Everyone makes mistakes, everyone deserves second opportunities, if people see their errors and correct them then they deserve compassion so in the end for me, Takato was the character with the best development on the manga even if taken for being the villain and badly seen by everyone (due to his last decision for the sake of her happiness, making him to be the most acceptable character who truly changed and gradually became better, accepting his errors and moving on).

Hayata was the one more consistent and linear (though too much perfect for my liking, dang the guy knows how to play all sports LOL, but incredibly sweet yeah) while Nanoka was the most confusing character ever. Also cruel most of the times without the necessity though I must confess that I got surprised that she was able to forgive Takato in a way...

But well, it was a crazy one to read and a good adventure, it gave some good lessons and examples, but also situations to laugh at with the mess going on, extremely unrealistic, exaggerated and overused drama that could have given place to better moments to character development. I love drama really, but not at this extent...though I can't deny I laughed and had fun with it...x'D

In the end what I actually enjoyed in the manga was the art itself and character designs. xD The ending was logic and predicted as I knew since the beginning with whom Nanoka would end with though I wanted her to stay alone and let Hayata be happy with a better girl lol, just like I believe Takato would if there was a (FAIR) continuation. Also the comedy rare scenes were a must and the support characters who were very well used.

Second time reading after dropping post chapter 49 and... this manga is so over exaggerating, stupid and unrealistic as hell, even Hana Yori Dango was like a children to this.

Everything went downhill after Hayata and Nanoka got together... instead having more of them, here we got the clingly moronic obsessive Takato and the psycho Ouji, who did nothing but made a ton of problems for the main pair, they were totally unlikeable, im actually so mad we got these bunch of garbages actually taking spotlight of the story.

Okay, Takato did one good thing by finally letting Nanoka go... but so what? it's better if you did it from the start! he's so annoying, no brain and most of all is very selfish, why the author give a chance for him by making Nanoka amnesia in the first place? unnecessary and totally undeserved. "True MC" my ass, he's the "True Parasite" in the series all along together with Ouji.

Nanoka, she's so beautifully drawn but her personality was such a mess mostly because of plot, i have no words for her... she's so underwhelming as FL. Hayata, the only consistent and normal one in this series... my only favorite character, just dissapear in half manga for reasons it's unbelievable.

Overall a bad read, dissapointing. But i really love the art, the author did a splendid job... the premise was also good actually, i like Nanoka for being so daring confessing to boy in the street after horrible past relationship, simple... but after that it's just straight up bad, luckily the ending was acceptable because Hayata is the endgame.

Don't worry, I think they're all gonna be slowly scanlated, as of now it's done till chapter 42. But I did read most of the story translated somewhere else (eventhough I needed to roughly self-translating from the raw for ch 83 ww)

redeem my ass. A pedophile like him deserved more jail time and you would feel the same if she was your damn daughter. Don't talk about redemption shit when you haven't felt a pain such like that. There are things which can never be changed however you become in the future. He deserves to be punished for several more years in the jail but we all know how bad Japan's jail term is.

Where did everyone read up to the last chapter? From what I know, there are no translations after the 53rd chapter sadly

Wait so she ends the series in love with Hayate but also still in love with Takato? wtf lol that seems more like a bittersweet ending than anything lol

but anywho finally the drama has come to an end. Have to say the entire series would have never happened had Takato been able to even meet the bare minimum requirements for communication :P. Even after the amnesia he still couldn't communicate for shit lol (though in fairness part of it could've been the haunting of past Nanoka)

speaking of the accident what the flying fuck even was that whole sequence, literally felt like a teenage drama with all those shenanigans and that creep character (and they don't even bother to explain what happens to him). Series would've been better off if it ended before that bit started imo

Other than that this was pretty much just bad drama 101 lmao. Some parts were quite hitting on the mark (like when Nanoka went at Takato for ruining her life or smth) but vast majority of it wasn't so great

In the beginning i never knew the "rival" would play such a big role in the series, i was pleasantly surprised. We got to learn more about him and his twisted love for Nanoka. And then, we started to feel for him too. I was still rooting for Hayata but some Takato parts really got me. This chapter felt way too rushed though, i wish things unfolded a little slower and there was a wholesome epilogue or something. Very interesting take on a shoujo though.
