| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Great episode! Surprise how quick Toshi was able to find the clues and connect the dots. Then again he had helped with the German government so it's quite understandable he was able to access knowledge like this so fast. Man Cat's Eye sure fooled me. Though i knew it Irie was Nagaishi just because of his voice, not to mention he was quick to shot down Toshi's suspicion about Heinz and Cat's Eye. Though i'm surprised Nagaishi managed to find "Breeze" painting so fast! Still what about the clue in the Japanese sea within the "Breeze" painting? I know Nagaishi is trying to divert that attention away from him, but he should at least suspect something fishy about that painting. And it's kinda cheap how Nagaishi has access to the police's documents and can erase whereabouts of people like Irie being dead years ago. Also Asatani should have at least recognized Hitomi even with the mask on. That's why i think Cat's Eye should wear more coverable mask(Neko masks) to hid her identity as much as possible. Still i hope Toshi doesn't give up about the connection between Heins and Cat's Eye. Awesome episode! This is what we need of Toshi! More aggressive and actually doing detective work. Next episode is last for season 1 so can't wait! |
| Toshi was pretty damn strong again this episode, the deck was stacked against him from the start with Nagaishi in disguise as Irie and yet he still did fairly well in almost capturing Hitomi. It's hard to win anytime it's effectively 4 against 1, or maybe 2 if you wanna count Asatani. Speaking of, I couldn't help but think they coulda id'd Hitomi from the dna in her hair that got cut off, but I dunno maybe dna tech in the 80s wasn't good enough or maybe hair doesn't have dna I dunno. XD Actually, just googled it and hair pulled out has dna, but not cut as seen in this episode. XD |

| Ah fuck! That's what I was talking about!!! Cat's Eye has resources that include being able to manipulate information in a police database?!?! How the fuck is Toshi supposed to compete with THAT?! At this point, he'd have to be a Batman level detective if he's going to give Cat's Eye any real trouble >:/ Damn. And things were getting real good too. This episode had a lot of tension in it! More so than the last one! But it looks like all that's gone :( Toshi seems to really think he was flat out wrong when he totally wasn't; how the hell can he bounce back from this ultra set back? Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. Looks like it's gonna go back to the art collectors being the major threat to Cat's Eye, which is cool too. So I guess Toshi goes back to being a walking punch line? I had such high hopes for him!!!! But if diligence really is Toshi's greatest strength, then I wonder where it will take him next now that he's been thrown off the trail. Don't give up Toshio!!! Be a man worthy of Hitomi (even though that would mean putting Hitomi in jail)!!!! |
