DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Erin was shocked at the vision of the wounded soldiers, and tried to prevent their blood loss to save their lives, but she was "gently" taken to the Queen's side because she had hit her head strongly against the wall, and she was the priority, Erin couldn't do much for her unfortunately, but she fixed Damiya's shoulder, and tried to help Ial, since he was bitten by a venomous Touda, but he asked her to take care of his men first, showing great leadership, and sadly, selflessness, so with a heavy heart, that was what she did, after all, saving a life comes before saving an arm, even if that arm would be lost forever. And even though Ial was bleeding, and poisoned after doing the best he could during the fight, he was already being blamed for not being able to "predict" this attack. But well, the help from Kazalm arrived, but unfortunately they didn't bring what Erin needed to treat Ial's poisoned state so she decided to go and get it with Lilan. That was when he said to her that they were going back to the manor because they weren't going to be able to withstand a second attack from the Grand Duke, and also told her that she didn't need to hurry, and to go by horse, because it would be better to not further show her flying figure with a Beast-Lord. And that was when she realized by looking at the carcasses of the Touda, that they weren't from the Grand Duke, and she wanted to tell Ial about it, but if she did, she would have to explain why she has this knowledge so she hesitated a bit. Ial as he saw her figure flying and going away, thought that he shouldn't have let her go, because she would be the only hope if there was a second attack, and with conflicted feelings he watched her go. |
