THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Yevgraf really is on another level compared to the other vampires in the show. He made Kershner look like a fool. Seems pacing of the story slowed down a bit. I wonder if the guy that Yuliy encountered this episode is trustworthy. Better an ally than a foe at least. Yuliy also fights those vampire girls from the previous episode. They treated it like a game lol It's interesting the way vampires views humans in this show tbh. |

Yevgraf has some crazy psychic-like powers, doesn't he? he will be some tough enemy to beat. Yuliy fought the "Play with us onii-chan, this is just a game" trait characters, I guess they are sisters?? Anyway, Yuliy doesn't seem to want to take his time fighting them. 4/5 Crazy how Mikhail couldn't do anything against Yevgraf. |

That old vampire dude is so lame haha The cowboy like dude doesn't seem trustworthy at all... And at last we'll see the vampire twins in action, hyped for the next episode! |

The vampire twins gets into a fight. The cowboy is suspicious. Of course, Ryouko is still there in the show for no reason. |

I liked this episode a lot more then the last one. Slow storytelling and we learn some new things like Mikhail being the victim who is powerless and didn't make a pact with the vampires back then. It seems there was no choice given to him. That says a lot about his character. At this point I'm pretty sure he will not die at the end, instead he will be saved. I also love how they focus on the brothers so much. I didn't expect Mikhail to be in every episode. New people, nice pacing, nothing over the top, I'm excited for the Yuliy vs. lolis fight. That's why I love this show, really. |

The pacing might've slowed down quite a bit, but the episode did a good job in terms of info dumping and such. One of which is how Mikhail became a vampire, all thanks to Yevgraf. Even now, despite Mikhail's rage and anger, Yevgraf made it look all too easy in terms of forcing Mikhail to return to him, even against his own will. As for Yuily, he's already suspicious of his new cowboy partner and I don't blame him for it. The cowboy guy's explanation about having the smell of vampires on him sounds decently legit, but I still a bit more convincing before I trust him completely. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the battle against those vampire sisters is going to play out, even if it might be a little too easy to predict. =P |

I LOVED this episode. I like Mikhail so much. It's clear that he cares about Yuliy โก I just hope that it doesn't happen - like in all anime - that he dies in the end. God Please. btw I can't wait to see yuliy fighting the vampire girlsss! Obvioulsy the girl (Ryouko) had to follow Yuliy, UGH ๐ I'm the only one who hates that girl? xD |

Good episode, quite relaxed compared to the previous one, although its moment of action was great and precise. Mikhail is the slave of Yevgraf, apparently the blood pact is strong, most likely that is a weapon against Yuliy. The cowboy is very suspicious, I do not trust him, it is this kind of characters that betrays the protagonist in the most important point. The Vampire Twins finally come into action, it seems that they have a psychological combat style since they did not stop tormenting Yuliy with all those questions. |

Did expect for Ryouko to go to London, but I also expected her to follow Yuliy to that Island. I thought I would see her when Yuliy turned around in the harbor. Mikhail showed his fangs to his master Yevgraf, I guess the only reason I can think of why he didn't get the box is because he is a vampire. I think his father entrusted the box to his pure blooded sons, and vampires are forbidden, and I think Yuliy fits perfectly. Yuliy will be the one who gets it. |

I knew Ryouko's character arc hadn't ended, but I really wanted it to end. I really don't like her. She is like a stalker, and it's really creepy. I hope Yuliy doesn't fall for her. (He probably will. Hope he doesn't.) Yevgraf surprised me by saving Mikhail. Why are the twins trying to turn Yuliy into a vampire? Wouldn't that be counter productive? Hope they answer it next episode. |

I'm not sure why they aren't all going with Yuliy, but I can't imagine anything but bad things happening at this point. Besides the cowboy which I'm not sure what to think about at this point, Yuliy is outgunned by the crew of vampires currently wandering around this secret sealing location. Seems like suicide - and London is a long ways away for the gang to come a runnin' to the rescue. Plus, Yuliy is basically giving Yevgref the key at this point. It's what I would call a strategically unsound plot decision. |

Mikhail is my favorite character of this show and it was painful to watch him being humiliated against Yevgraf. And that new Jaeger seems very suspicious. He's probably good, but I just have the feeling he's gonna betray Yuliy at some point. I just love this show cause it reminds me of Blood+. Oh, nostalgia... |

This episode was a nice step up from last week's episode and I'm much more interested on how things will unfold from now on but there was also a major turn off in this episode, that being them wasting our time with Ryouko once again. For fuck sake, why? Why do they insist on pushing this girl as an important character towards the audience? Her love, admiration or whatever you wanna call it for Yuliy is one sided and he doesn't give a flying fuck about her, so why? Someone at the staff must really like this useless, annoying stalker girl. |

This was rather nice episode, even if somewhat slower than before. Though I think it's good the pace has been a bit slower now after action packed episodes. Hopefully we then get fast action packed episodes by the end. Cowboy guy looks suspicious, but I think he is trustworthy. Otherwise he would have no reason to rush to old man before he was killed by vampires, though it does not make him 100% trustworthy still. Yevgraf sure looks interesting and strong, so I wonder if Yuliy can defeat him on his own, though I suspect that he will need to get help from others to do so. It's a shame him brother will probably not be able to help due to bloodpact though. And those vampire lolis are strangely cute with those undead looks :D I look forward to next episode to see more action with them. |

Another good episode, we could see more about Mikhail, he cant get the Box of Sirius cause he is a vampire now, and his blood isnt anymore pure Sirius, i feel bad for him, cause he is being controled by Yevgraf! But was awesome when Mikhail attacked Yevgraf. And yes i cant trust cowboy, with his smel of blood, atleast for now! And as always i dont understand the hate for Riouko, she is being developed, she want to explore, go on adventure to learn more about the world, and of course sobrenarural things, she can fight too like we saw in the train, she isnt a useless character! And i dont think they are forcing romance, Yuliy dont care about her! If they will get some development together, i will be glad! Hyped to see Yuliy against the sisters! |

It feels like they thrown romance in because that is what you "suppose to do" in action-adventure show. But Ryouko isn't the only useless character. You can say the same thing about japanese military guy. He is superfluous and it seems like his only function is to advertise japanese military efficiency. Moreover, there is absolutely no reason for the show to take place in Japan. It feels random. Setting is not explored and just there for the sake of pretty backgrounds. What I am trying to say, everybody and everything is underdeveloped except from two brothers. It is not just Ryouko's fault) If anything, she can be funny and amusing at times. The rest of the gang is... just there. |

The rest of the gang is... just there. And to that, I fully agree because I actually wrote a piece of my mind about this show and about how the wasted potential it's displaying. Everything's underdeveloped to the point where I just feel pretty frustrated by the turn it took. The "plot" isn't really well set and it's going in every direction in a messy way where, I, personally don't give a damn. I don't even know what I'm truly watching and I think it's part of my lack of attention and the way this show keeps letting me down by jumping from one thing to another without real correlation but for the "sake of the plot". But anyways, in my first comment, I was just addressing the way you quoted us about hating a character because we're "jealous" when it truly isn't the issue. I will agree on the points that almost every character in this show is superfluous and only serves as anchors for the plot to move forward. Truly a shame because when the first episode aired, I had high hopes, now I just want to see it end. And the last episode was still very upsetting about Ryoukou. Clearly, they could have just let go of that character but they keep dragging her around. To this point, she clearly is a psycho stalker who needs to get a life. She could have just went her way after discovering vampires and make changes in her life but no, she needs to follow a "crush" (that clearly isn't well set from the beginning of the show) for whatever reason. #neededtovent |

It was a throwaway joke and a stupid one at that, so I beg your pardon)) Concerning the last episode, wasn't Ryoukou supposed to go to London? I mean, yes, she wanted to follow her crush, but she also supposedly wanted to follow the professor, become a jaeger and fight vampires. Maybe she was inspired by Dorothea's story. But of course she panicked, messed up and ended up on a boat going to Sakhalin. And now Juliy can confide in her to screenwriter's satisfaction.) I am saying it again - she is not a stalker (well, maybe a little bit), she is a buffoon and probably going to play damsel in distress at some point. |

Hmmm I find it funny how Ryouko says she wants to save the world and do her duty but she all she does is stalk Yuliy. I actually have a thing for stalkers in anime. I wish to see romance in this anime too. But I also wish her character would develop more than just this thick-headed overprotected oujosama that has this obsession over the main guy so she keeps following him around everywhere he goes. I actually enjoy seeing her, and I think somehow the love line will work out eventually. I also do not think the romance is forced at all. He does not like her.. Yet. And he deserves to know love too. Hopefully her character will become stronger and more relevant to the plot, instead of just being a mere girl/plot device that shows how eligible, sexy, free and single the MC is. |

when you think about it yevgraf is not the brightest. When attacking the village he should've given the order to keep one alive just in case. Though since he didn't he had to make one into a vamp which as we saw screws him over. Also its not like this mikal is super obedient ether so vamp or not the situation with him wanting to kill yevgraf would be the same. |

I just wish she could help instead of bringing more danger. Why would this series give her much more screen time than the other Jaegers like Fallon? I would like to get to know about him too. I kind of feel bad for his father. He's obviously worried about his only daughter. I think Mikhail wants to kill Yevgref so he would like to obtain the box. The only good thing that happened here is the loli vampire twins I don't trust that Bishop guy |

8th episode was decent. That mad scientist Klarwein is getting annoying. I get the mad scientist thing but him being such a useless bootlicker up till now is seriously starting to get on my nerves. We are 8 episodes in and still don't know much about the team. They are shown in the OP as the main cast yet the only things we know about them is so little: Fallon is from Ireland. That's it. Dorothea is from Spain or Mexico. She is 2nd in command? See we don't know. Philip who is from London and his parents were killed by a druggie(?) sirius? Willard we got to know a little better but beside his archeology, we know nothing. If this show is moving towards a more plot focused direction and all those characters are simple pawns that we are not supposed to get too attached to, then I'd understand their reasoning. Hence why there is a strong focus on Iba from the military plot and the reckless girl Ryouko plot. Means we focus mainly on Yuri and his brother Mikhail. Ok... Very alike Owari no Seraph where it was also a story about brothers in a vampire setting.. Also reminds me of Black Blood Brothers which was also about vampire brothers... I start seeing a pattern here.. |
