THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Not going to lie, I think Ceder Fever is creepy. The way they mindlessly say "cedar" and stalking their prey with their size....

I'm also glad the show is showcasing even more cells in the human body like the Mast Cell.
Definitely an interesting episode if you ask me. They made the episode feel so impactful with the invasion.

Lol, AE 3803 look so priceless whenever she is caught off guard as usual.

That steroid is probably how Drix from Osmosis Jones would look in this setting.
The voice acting this episode was hilarious too, especially Memory Cell 's one.

I don't think the steroid was a pill, would like a confirmation tho, because the human body produces steroids on its own.

Also this episode hit right at home, or more likely on at my allergic spring conjunctivitis.

This time the order of the inmunologic actions were on point.

I believe it was medicine, just my opinion.
The problems with allergies is that the "disease" is caused by the natural reaction of the body against an allergen that is not harmful in itself (if that is even how you say it), so you will take an allergy medicine to stop the symptons.
That thing came and they didn't even know what it was.
This episode was fun, I liked it better than the last one.

I would say as it was represented as a robot and none of the cells recognised it, it must be something not produced by the body and thus a drug.

Steroids (something that needs a prescription here) is a bit of an overkill though, surely an antihistamine (can be brought off the shelf here) would have been fine.

I believe they didn't recognize it is because the substances used in medicine aren't the exact same as the ones the body produces, but synthetic versions of it.

The memory cell says it was a "apocalipse" so perhaps the person has severe allergies so maybe it warrants a prescription drug?

Allergies are the worst, but the episode was as delightful and funny as ever! I loved how the steroid was totally inorganic, most likely for being a pill or something, and the brutal way he solved the situation. xD

I can't wait for the next one!

the robot was obviously a pill, medicine. look at the robot's body carefully and you'll see the symbol, the shoulder pads are in a shape of pill :)

Cedar is a particularly nasty allergen; skipping straight to the big guns is far from unheard of. Plus, we don't know what type of steroid this was, so it could easily be available over-the-counter(though you could probably get a doctor to write a prescription pretty quick if need be).

This episode was particularly interesting for me since i knew its name from the last eps. Because since i have allergy i always wondered how it works, can't believe i had to watch an anime to get it xD

It was a great episode but i hated it because i could "feel" the symptoms, allergy is horrible!
Can i already ask for another season? xD

Year-long allergy sufferer here, I laughed a lot at this one and enjoyed it quite a bit. The voice acting and animation really nailed the 'overreaction' of the immune system at its dumbest.

I love how the entire population went haywire because of a simple allergen… or was it simple? Some people die from allergies, especially from peanut, shellfish, etc. I have allergic rhinitis and it’s a fucking bitch when it strikes. Especially if the allergies begin early in the morning, I usually suffer until it’s time to go to bed, the next day I’m okay again. I heavily rely on antihistamines (drugs) to relieve me of my symptoms.

Anyways, the allergens are so cute. They remind me of the things from that Disney movie Flubber.

We’re meeting new cells every episode and this time we met Memory Cell, the drama queen and we also got to see Fat Cell again who hates being called Fat Cell.

Cute part: Neutrophil biting into the chubby allergen he just slashed.

I wasn’t expecting the person (whoever body this is) was going to take a steroid, I thought they were going to take another antihistamine or something.

LOL at the disaster that steroid caused. I hate steroids. I had to take them for acne before and my face became round.

臭い-

Do they have to put boss of the week into every episode? They are just repeating themselves with no hope to improve.

Apart from that corticosteroid robot there was nothing interesting in this episode. In fact, with each episode this series get more and more stale.

Well I can't blame the Mast Cell for going overboard with the histamines. It's why we have ALLERGIES!

Lots of leg shots for Mast Cell there...

B Cell and Mast Cell fighting each other was fun.

STEROIDS! MORE STEROIDS! STEROIDS ARE GOOD FOR YOU!

So if we're bringing medicines into the mix...well actually now I want to see what happens to the cells when the host starts drinking alcohol...

It was brought up in one of the first episodes that the person has a compromised immune system and therefore is more open or adverse to getting infections and viruses compared to before.

I'm amazed that this is what (kinda) happens when external objects invade a human's eye. The itchiness and tears are all part of a process to repel the foreign object(s) However this isn't just a simple case of a foreign object entering a person's body if this person has an allergic reaction to it! This is what an allergy is like. Though the cells function accordingly, they won't be able to operate accordingly.

Seriously!? This human, what's this person doing to their own body? Steroids?!

Overall, this episode, just like all the previous episode got that excellent match of comedy, action, and information. The chaotic but funny atmosphere was well delivered. Some of the cell's overreaction was hilariously priceless!

Probably the funniest episode so far. First there was that shaman Basophil in the previous episode, and now a full blown doomsday prepeper/alarmist Memory B cell, complete with a "great flood" hijinks. I also liked how they threw in an anti-steroid abuse PSA towards the end, without resorting to a He-Man style sermon.

So hilarious when Sek was pushing the steroid and ran over Hak xD they did a playback on that 3 times LMFAO

I can't get over the OP and ED songs. I normally skip them to save on time, but for this series, I let both of them play lol. They're so catchy and happy sounding C: Loveeeee.

They're just doing their jobs but everything went to the crapper anyway even if they all followed the protocol to a t because they ended up perceiving the cedar allergen as a bigger threat than it actually is. An allergic reaction is essentially the immune system overreacting to something really badly and I have a lot of those because I have a lot of pets so seeing them go through all this chaos was somehow very relatable because I know that feel.

The steroid being an inorganic robot destroying everything made a lot of sense and effect of going for the huge doses right away was pretty funny.
