The latest episode felt so-so imo. I wish I can get invested into the story more but the show still follows a similar style of storytelling that hasn't changed much yet.

Still, I will say that Tsugumi is becoming more and more confident as a character. Got a lot of focus on Hoshikawa this week though as he feels the embrace of his mother.

The guy with two different eye colors like things that are green.

Book by poor girl?

Old man that she saw in dance party is professor and the guy knows him...

Enjoying senpeis by a soldier's old shop.

The guy might be a mix with foreigner, so he wants to know if that book tells him about foreign side.

The lady from the dance party bought the book. Journal of the little girl from Yokohama... It seems like she's interested in the main girl that she created chance for her to visit her.

He has a power to release fire, which is from red eye. So the old man attempted to search for his power.

The boss lady was mad about her following that lady.

When he said he will follow her to visit the lady again, it was realized she was his mother's friend. Oh, that journal is by his mother?! The soul of his mother also appeared.

To protect main girl, the lady gave up becoming friends.

The story seems to begin to progress after stories of the guys next.

This was a decent episode focusing on Hisui. He had a tragic past with his mother. The embrace he felt from her was pretty nice. Mozuyama is a creepy guy. Tsugumi definitely needs to stay away from him.

and this backstory is why i love Hisui :3... to me he is the only boy, who the "romantic feelling" actually growned naturally betwen him and Kuze, in the game... but yeah probably this is the only thing we will get from him in this anime since we have the main guy "hayato" i think... in the anime and otome games usually mix all roots and makes the girl ends with no one, o the main guy only... sigh

Enjoyed learning more of Hisui's backstory, even if it was kind of sad at parts. And that Tsugumi wanted to help him get a little bit of his mother back - even if it was book form.

Anyway, not really sure about how to feel about the creepy professor dude that Hisui knows, and which the president or what-have-you of Nachtigal also seems to be in league with.

Alas, I'm not sure who I want Tsugumi to eventually end up with in a romantic way, but I suppose I'll just have to wait and see in the next 6 episodes!

I really enjoyed this episode... Getting to know a little bit more about Hisui, and how the Japanese style book related to his mother; It was really sweet. I felt bad for him, that he carries the blame of almost killing a man with his ability, even after it only debuted due to his trying to defend himself, in a pretty harsh scenario. Reminded me of the X-Men, that. And then, the whole episode is garneshed with these really strange and creepy antagonists. One basically being described as something of a mad scientist. Makes you wonder who, or what, was in that cage, at the end.

This was the most interesting episode so far. I'm not going to lie, I cried a little at the end. Poor Hisui, I feel really bad for him. It must've been really hard to think that his mother left him because she didn't love him. Seriously, this child needs a hug or five.

Got quite a strange and dark episode this week. Twas decent... but... At this point I've just lost interest in the anime. The characters do extremely little for me, the story is meh at best, and... I just can't bring myself to care anymore. So I'm dropping out here, yall enjoy the remaining episodes I guess.

That last line about protecting her was so so smooth. Like butter. Ngl, the entire episode was kind of bland, but overall really enjoyed this arc and learning about Kuzui. Also, prostitute mother was a protector-- so maybe she will make a comeback? Did mother sell herself to protect her son? At the very least, her emotions triggered the aura because he was the one that received the book. ngl, I thought that Shouko would either be his mom or maybe an aunt. I really enjoyed that not like most male leads who purposely tell MCs not to be reckless [b] or else [b], he encourages or acknowledges it'll happen again. Also because, Kuze highkey lying...she'd totally not even realize if she did something potentially dangerous.

Maybe this series should be classified for mature viewers. When they discuss the adult industry, it's not a topic that most kids want to dive into.
PG 13 might be stretching it a bit thin. R rated content is briefly touched.
Also, the theme song has minor scenes that can be considered R.
