| I know they are looking 'long term', but the paper team didn't even need to appease Kaiji's gang. All Kaiji did was insult the paper head, spin some mumbo about making bold long term decisions being the key to surviving life and the fool took the bait. They went from sure victory as they whittled away the competition's scissors by having two teams hoarding paper and rock; then naturally Kaiji's team will get rekt. |

| A whole episode to get Kitami to flip his goddamn card lmao At least it was a satisfying win this time without anyone ending up being a deadweight this time~ They're all on the edge and I'm relieved that they finally realized how crucial it is to stick to the plan. They were really asshats when they refused to get dragged into this at first coz who the hell gave you the stars you threw away in the first place '^' How Kaiji masterfully taunted and tricked him to join the deathmatch using 6 million yen then proceeded to read him like a book to add salt to his wounds was entertaining. Just 3 more! |

| 'WAKE UP!'. I love when a character learns from his mistakes and acknowledges the situation they are in. Again Kaiji found a struggle to surpass and damn this time it was hard. Nearly impossible to get out of, the stupidity of a character was the miracle Kaiji needed. Lesson: do never say shit until your plan is over. Good to see the protagonist taking advantage of that in a way that makes sense. 5/5 |

| This episode feels very slow but I liked it. I was thinking that Kitama's card was a scissors but I was wrong. Kaiji needs to get rid of those two when they not be useful anymore. There's only 40 minutes left. |

| Episode 5 stands out for Kaiji's brilliant speech. I think the protagonist will abandon the conquered at the end of the game. Goodbye Frankie's voice, I hope we'll meet again. Kaiji's words about life are very apt, and full of deep wisdom and truth. Amen. |
