| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Jiren vs Frezia and 17 in the series' finale... A pretty intense battle tbh, more than I had expected. I'm actually impressed by the finale especially just how fast paced the action was. Hell, Goku gets involved again in the fight too after his big battle with Jiren last time. About time the tournament is over. Grats to Universe 7! It's been a hell of a ride. |

| Well, that was the ending I predicted the very moment the arc stated its buildup. Nevertheless, very entertaining ride. To repeat my words from some other post: World Building aside (which pleased me a bit), I would go with... Movie recaps (yes, episodes 1-26 were "that") = 4/10 Super Tournament Arc = 6/10 Future Trunks Arc (if you cut the filler and the bullshit genkidama sword) = 8/10 Random minor filler things up to the last arc = 3/10 Tournament of Power Arc (it could have been less than this because of the bullshit ex machinas and nakama/love power + inconsistencies in general, but it was pure fun all the way through) = 7/10 Overall, 3rd, 4th and final arcs were at least entertaining enough to have me all the way enjoy in pure guilty pleasure some crazy mindless action and at times, some actually well thought twists here and there. Super still was way better than that fanfic level of writing in GT at the very least, so that's that. I'll probably go with a 6+/10 (can't decide if 6 or 7/10 on MAL), mostly for entertainment reasons. The manga is waaay better and much more consistent however, and I'd recommend everyone to check it out. It actually makes sense and has a very minimum of bullshit in it (much like the original work). That teasing for the movie at the end leaves me looking forward to it. Other than that, it seems we gonna see more of Freeza soon enough (interesting that he got to be resurrected). |

| For those who don't speak japanese and was confused by the grand priest dialogue: He was saying that Zeno (may have) predicted that the victor would wish for all the other universes to be wished back. | Goku says in the last scene that he can't activate Ultra Instinct at will; it looks like it only happens on its own, like when he was in trouble at the tournament. | Even if it was rushed, it ended pretty well. The battle was great and Ishitani had a pretty great direction in her debut as episode director. I'm surprised by 17 winning, a thing that I would never expect to see him like that or even standing in the finalists lol The universes being whished back was expected but I didn't expect for Zeno to know that someone would ask for it and if they didn't, they would erase the last universe. Pretty good. Goku not being able to use UI is also interesting and Freeza being alive again is also interesting too so I can't wait to see how these things will wrap in the future movie. | So Zen-chan is smarter than he looks lmao. I'm amazed they actually managed to end it this well. 17 MVP got his boat lol. The last scene with Goku and Vegeta striking those poses was pretty awesome and nostalgic. |
| Hory shiet,that was pretty amazing. And to make it even more amazing,ma boy 17 won. Considering that he was thought dead until last episode,this is quite the comeback to say the least. Well, in general,I think we all can agree that he was pretty much the surprise of the entire tournament and after this episode no one can deny that he's without a doubt the damn MVP. Also fucking lol that they brought back Frieza,but a word is word and that man worked his ass off too. Loved the sense of comradeship with him,Goku and the others. Dragon Ball Super had a lot of issues,with the Black arc at it lowest point,however, the tournament arc redeemed this series for me and in terms of raw hype it was absolute max at certain scenes,even surpassing current powerhouses such as BNHA tbqh. Production values varied from garbo to top,but they were always good when it counted,so I'm fine with them in the end. Also dat nostalgic bomb  5/5 For this episode and all in all 6/10,this will be dearly missed,hope for more in the future. Edit: Pretty cool that this got my 600th completion. |

| Honestly that was a perfect finale. No better way to end DBS. And 17 continues to be the best character of this series. The Goku and Frieza vs Jiren parts were choreographed so amazingly. I got hyped when Goku went SSJ cause I hadn't seen it in ages. I felt for Jiren too kinda, but his character still needs a lot of work. I found Toppos speech cringy as hell though. Feel glad for the wish. Nice to see Champa and gang back. Overall I'll give DBS a 7 out of 10. I loved the Goku vs Vegeta positions reference in comparison with the first battle they had in the Saiyan arc. |

| I didn't expect Frieza and Goku to team up and eliminate Jiren. Also wasn't expecting Android 17 to be the last man standing. Bringing back all of the universes was predictable, really. Admittely I wasn't expecting Whis to ressurect Frieza. So Frieza's completely on the loose now. I wonder if he's going to be in the upcoming movie. I like the callback to the Saiyan Saga. Farewell Super. Despite your flaws, I still find you enjoyable to watch. |

| Of course they had to go and bring back everyone. No one stays dead in this show. Seeing Freeza and Goku fight together was really cool. I didn't expect 17 to be the last one standing. It was also nice to see Whish just resurrecting Freeza. I'm a bit sad that the show ended though. |

| I was expecting the ending to be a reanimation of End of Z, but it wasn't... So I guess they will still keep the End of Z as the "cannon ending", and so the new season next year after the movie should still be inside the timeframe until Goku's departure with Uub. Thanks for the ride! |

| was a great way of ending things for now, that final battle and finish was amazing! now to wait for the movie and for super to come back after the movie some time next year which im sure is gonna happen but for now wanna see how they make things better in the manga version of this arc its already off to an great start |

I actually really like the fight this week, even more than last week's. There is a charm to it when Goku Freiza and 17 fight that desperately together, which is what this arc about universe survival lacked. Janky power scaling aside, seeing Goku and Freiza team up is certainly refreshing.  Not sure why the grand priest asked 17 for wish when it was previously stated "the one who performed the best gets the wish." I mean, sure, 17 did great, but Goku should be the best performer. Predictable wish and ending. 17 talked to the grand priest quite casually lol.  Now I am even more curious about the super dragon ball's creator. He must be fairly high in the god's rank if his creation could revive universes that Zeno himself erased. Also, I wonder are the 6 previously erased universes also back because of the wish. |

| That was a pretty cool episode. Who would have imagined seeing 17 as the last man standing. That Jiren vs 17 fight was pretty impressive, 17 traps Jiren with his barrier and blasts him so he gets the full impact. Then Jiren dropping to his knees and accepting his loss until Toppo motivates him to get back in the match. When Jiren accepts his fate  Zenos are so savage, even if another universe had won and made a selfish wish their universe would have been deleted. I thought that was interesting to hear. And the universes were restored as well. Jiren goes from not talking at all to having a conversation with Toppo and others. I kind of liked silent Jiren a bit more. I'm surprised Frieza was brought back. Now the question is what does Frieza plan on doing. Laying low or Supernovaing planets. So overall it was a fun run. I generally had a fun time watching this show. I'll give it an 8/10. |

| I still think this series was a fun ride to the end. The wish was somewhat obvious in fact. Many have speculated and was on point. Anyways even though it has its' issues along with its' pulls coming from nowhere. It still had it's moments where it was still entertaining for fans in general. |

| It's good to see Frieza and Goku fighting together against Jiren, and the wish was what we all expected at the beginning. There were many inconsistencies (way too many tbh xD) throughout the series but it's been fun overall. Now waiting for the movie! |

| Honestly, I can't say I'll miss it. Tournaments (most of this series) are just really lazy, IMO. Doesn't help that the animation was extremely low quality a large % of the time. Predictable but good ending, so that's a positive. And the characters are still awesome even if some of them contradict their old personalities a lot |

| Goku probably lying that he can't activate Ultra Instinct anymore, like he always does to Vegeta. He never wants to admit he's ahead of him, and Vegeta never wants to admit he's behind him. Tournament of Power alone made this a 10/10. |

| Amazing last episode!!! It was worth getting up at 3 to watch it. I don't think anyone expected No.17 to be the last man standing. Their final fight was top-notch. The wish was really obvious. Duuuuh... I'm still satisfied. We also learnt that Zen-Oh actually didn't want to erase weaker universes. He just wanted to have some fun, I guess? Frost is not back, though..? Didn't look for him. I'll rewatch it later. So angels are capable of resurrecting anyone. Now Frieza is back. I wonder if the other erased universes were brought back too, "by accident". I'm glad it said at the end that Dragon Ball is coming back after a "brief break". I suppose the movie comes out, then around april in the next year we'll see the new Dragon Ball series. Overall, I think I am much more satisfied with the series, than the majority of the series. It did have errors, weird things, but I mostly just laughed at those things. For me, it was a great series, and I am looking forward to the next series. |
