| And I just finished the GuP main series. Didn't expect to marathon pretty much all of it one go. Panzer Banter is too good, I like how the grils interact with each other. They fucking know how ridiculous it is and they're using it to their full potential. I really liked GuP, the main cast was really good and the side characters was pretty fun to watch, too. The advantage of their structure is that they're a team instead of an individual, and they more or less grouped the characters into one fun group. Instead of trying to give them all too much an individual character and making my head hurt because of how much characters are introduced, they just stuck a gimmick on a group and rolled with it, which is more than fine for this case. I can tell who is on who's group, what they are, and how they act despite the large group of characters, which is more than enough for a cast this large especially on a 12 episode anime. Can't say that for some other anime with large casts like this. Just for comparison since I just watched the movie, looking at you, Kancolle anime. That had the advantage of me knowing who some ships are and I still manage to know who's who in something like GuP better than Kancolle. Didn't expect them to actually develop the main group despite the tight schedule and the overarching plot, too. I mean, other than Saori which kinda felt lacking, all of them had their time in the spotlight. The tank strategies was fun, too. Didn't expect myself to actually watch fucking Tank-fu against Katyusha's team. I actually like the OST enough to give a small shout-out, too. It felt like a toy war type of thing, which was really fitting. Akiyama best, btw  the series has a fuckton of specials, though. Already watched the Anzio one and will try to watch some of them before going into the movie. |

| you realize ive been ragging on it for months saying its probably a 2/10 show right? only way thats true is if you are giving it a straight 1. Does seem like i was correct in ragging on the show at least, seems like people are trashing it from where ive looked. Maybe not to guilty crown levels but it does seem like the show might wind up getting a sub 7 score potentially here on mal. I was pretty positive it was going to be among one of if not the single worst bones anime. |

| Super Mario Odessey is pretty underwhelming. There were definitely some issues with LoZ: BotW that kept it from reaching its full potential, but it was still a great game. SMO, on the other hand, has felt too easy, too short, and too bland thus far. The novelty of controlling enemies wears off really fast when there's such a low skill barrier. It's okay, but I kinda expected more from a mainline Mario game. |
| You know after sitting on it a little bit, i got to give credit to seed destiny on its interesting portrayal of the futility/hopelessness of war. In the same way war is unrelenting and just cause you think it cant get worse only for it to do just that, seed destiny mirrors this by getting so fucking bad you lose all hope believing its reached rock bottom before surprising you further with its abysmal writing. |

| so it seems like the general consensus on the netflix origionals thus far devilman: positive reception and surprisingly pretty mainstream popularity in the west B: very love it or hate it but generally in the middling range of reception, likely wont make much splash but you never know aico: negative reception, dead on arrival popularity. maybe too early to gather info on for aico, but ive heard nothing good thus far aside from some guy caring way too much about the score on the forum. Guess ill get started on this garbage fire now, maybe ill be surprised and give it a 4 |

| I am really curious what the next gundam will be like, i think it would be smart to maybe take a step back in tone to something more along the lines of turn-A or X, generally playful with its occasional sad moments that ground the conflict after coming off of iron blooded orphans which is arguably the bleakest a mainline entry has gotten. I just dont think it would be good to jump immediately into another war is hell type setting though i guess im not super opposed to it. I feel like it probably will be another war is hell like setting just looking at how the series did financially. seed-00 were super successful, age bombed, g-reco did fine but kind of got forgotten quickly, and ibo not to the level of seed-00 was still a pretty huge money printer.
