Damn right Rago is no one's ally.

That was a pretty malevolent way to provok someone though...like holy shit.

This was also pretty good chapter. We got to know Rago's past (and great to know he wasn't someone evil guy). And also they almost escape from that huge beast! Anyway they success from the training at least! Let's see what kind of fights they can demonstrate on their next battle!

Quality shonen manga and I see it can rival those big shonen manga in future! This manga easily win when it comes to art.

Flashback and rago sealed himself, amagi gathering the monosoke to fight off the oniwaban of the shogunate.
Rago didn't choose a side but now he inadvertently did.

Great chapter. Rago in his natural/rage form looks sick, reminds me of Tora. Great quick insight on Rago and his backstory, which was surprisingly nothing too special, we found out who the central villain is as well. Artwork was flipping sick, I love this mangaka's style.

the black sun's power was truly something. Even when losing his memories, his code of living is still the same

So that's what happened with Rago, and they already discovered the guy who went looking for him.
Yes, the training was a great success.

Awesome way to show Rago's past.
So, the monoke who unsealed him recently is named Amagi.

Originally, during the edo period, he was living in a small village with a killing stone seal,
which kept any monoke to come to the village, so no one bothered him or the villagers, even though they thought they were safe thanks to Rago.

Even more fascinating is how Rago's past self as an entity broke control of the illusion, and attempted to kill current Rago and Jiro to retain his older self back to be in solitude.
... So, basically, the days before he was sealed was when Amagi warned him of the omni-whatever (around the time they were first founded), and wanted Rago to join the monoke cause to kill the omni- who are killing them, but Rago didn't care and wanted to be alone.

Except, Amagi tried to force him by killing everyone in the village, or else Rago would be attacked by monoke if he didn't, and the omni-whatever would think he's the one who destroyed the village, but Rago didn't want to be forced and pick any side, so he sealed himself.
Sweet how enraged he was that the boy who kept thanking Rago with offerings got killed with his head displayed being held by Amagi.
Now, kinda like how he was, he cared to save Jiro for helping him when he was injured.
