Piccolo is the man! Well, I'm glad he got some spotlight this episode.

Tien and his clones is also such a classic. I think he really improved since we've last saw him. I'm proud of Tien tbh despite him being eliminated. I mean, at least he really tried. Universe 7 down by 2 down.

Ah well, that was quite obvious that this would happen. Ah well down to 8 fighters.

Now I really want to see Dr. Rota's doctor ability lol

Can't believe Toei used the same reason 2 in a row to eliminate U7 fighters (Tien and Krillin). I mean, I know they emphasized a lot on "not letting your guard down" before the tournament, but this is still excessively used.

The elimination order theory of the dragon ball numbers from the opening is now disproved.

Though now it is more likely the elimination order theory from the ending is correct. Excited to see how Vegeta will get thrown out.

A 4/10 episode for me...

They only brought back Tien to eliminate him and I still don't know how the hell that (supposed) "katchin" that is even harder than U7 katchin brakes but what a hell... This is a show that by only existing doesn't make any sense!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 more things to mark here:

1.
Even though they know that that sniper shot pierce the ground, they decide to take cover under a tiny rock instead of retreat... Gohan is not getting smart here... C'mon Gohan...

2.
Naruto reference...

A sniper battle... The idea was interesting but the execution maybe not much.

Tien and the clone technique, a classic. And his elimination was kind of expected to be honest, he lasted a good while in the tournament after all xD At least he took Harmira with him. And poor dude from U6, we'll never know his ability lol

By the way, I thought Prum and Harmira were the ace fighters from U2 since it was only shown their silhouettes when the team was first introduced but they ended being one of the early ones falling from that verse... I guess Brianne is the strongest after all and that doesn't guarantee safety to that verse xD

I hate when they nerf goku and vegeta for the sake of giving other characters screentime. I cant help but sit and watch episodes like this frustrated thinking ok either one of these guys could end this little skirmish in litterally a second so all tension is completely lost. Really enjoying this arc so far though best of the series so far for sure.

thats pretty nostalgic move by tenshinhan, but he is still lame af. muten roshi is way better than him. and a lot of naruto runthere by picolo, gohan, tenshinhan, goku and even vegeta. the animators are so lazy at drawing moving arms while running smh

This was a decent episode.

The Gohan and Piccolo scenes were nice but I can't but feel like it was a waste that they just vanished halfway through even though the conflict of the episode started because of them being targeted.

Tien did alright, a shame he didn't get an episode to himself like Krillin and even Roshi did but the apathy in regards to the writing for his character was pretty apparent. His moment was nice but it begs to question why he charged in a straight line rather than scattering to confuse his opponent and at that Piccolo could have used his clone technique to do the same thing Tien did.

Goku and Vegeta were okay, they gave me a few good laughs so it wasn't a complete waste. Now Universe 6 and 7 are down to 8 and with things sure to pick up I'm sure the competitors in the tournament will start to dwindle down at a faster pace. I'm still disappointed at how dull most teamups for Universe 7 have been. They've played it way to safe with having typical teamups like Goku/Vegeta, Gohan/Piccolo, Krillin/18 and 17/18, they could and should have switched up the teamups. I'd have loved a Gohan/Vegeta teamup, 17/Piccolo and Frieza/just about anyone but the more episodes pass and the less likely most of those teamups appear to be.

There has been speculation going around that the ending was giving a hint at the the order of elimination for Universe 7 and that Vegeta will be eliminated after Tien. Krillin and Tien's elimination seem more like a coincidence for now but if Vegeta really is next than that's sure to be hilarious.

I liked Picollo's and Gohan's strategic planning. So Picollo loses stamina each time he regenerates, seems like Buu has better regeneration.
Anyway the episode itself felt rather slow but I liked that they decided to focus on ways to overcome the foe. The whole shooting beams to confuse the opponent since he'd be seeing too many heat sources.

Tien did fairly well, would have liked to see more of him honestly since we hardly see much of him in the tournament.

Vegeta at the end lol.
Sends the Rota and the other one flying off the stage xD

What an awful episode. The use of sniper started interesting at first, but then all of the characters in the episode were put in illogical performances that made me question who the hell edits the episodes.

Goku and Vegeta throwing rocks in their base forms!? What? I know ki could not work as he was reflecting, but you can't tell me that their transformation would not let them evade those shots? Couldn't Goku transmission his ass over his opponent and knock him out with a punch? Piccolo was used just to cover Gohan's ass and he will ultimately be used as a catalyst for Gohan later on as well. Why do they keep doing this? Gohan fought since he was little, he has experience so why does everyone have to babysit his ass. Didn't Gohan say they should go solo, why is he sticking with Piccolo then...

And don't get me started on Tien. Seriously, this is all they could have done with him? Clone himself, run towards the opponent like a madman, shoot Kikoho and that's it? Dude did not lay one single punch in entire tournament and they gave Roshi an whole episode where he eliminated THREE OPPONENTS by himself! Tien did not look like he could go all out. in fact he seemed to go down just like Krillin cuz' he let his guard down. Yeah, Tien got a shining moment. His fucking bold head shined while he was falling down.

Next arc it's probably gonna be just Goku and Vegeta only anyway, so it's not like people want to see other characters have more fights for the last time or something....

The only thing I'm hoping for is that Toyotaro does something better in his manga. His writing and choreography has been a lot better then anime anway but, it all rides on the fact if he is a fan of the other characters to give them their moments.

This episode was so cringy...

The idea of having a sniper was interesting, but... Having Picollo and Gohan hide under rocks ? Really ? They are supposed to have super highspeed, if they just move really fast, the sniper can not even touch them. But here they are, playing hide & seek, while Picollo spend his time having his arm torn apart. Just for nostalgia sake, I guess.

Then, while Picollo and Gohan are under attack, we switch to Goku / Vegeta / Tien sitting like they are on a picknick, while they can see the "sniper". So much for tension.

Tien then decide to "run" towards Gohan and Picollo... just to reach them... then run toward the "true" sniper". Kinda useless ?

Tien then run using 3 clones... but can not avoid a single shot from the snipper (also the rythm of fire of the underwear guys kinda dropped a lot, it's like he was shooting one shot per minute). Hum... If you have the time to have a clone jump in front of you to "shield" you, you have the time to jump away from the shoot.

When Vegeta and Goku realized that the pink guy was able to reflect ki blast, they decided to "throw rock at him". Just a kick would be enough I guess.

And finally, the pink guy was thrown over by Vegeta... USING A KI BLAST.

So basically, almost all the action in this episode, did not make sense. I wish there was something like "everything wrong with dragon ball super episode 106 in twenty minutes or less".

Hopefully, next episode will be better :)

Piccolo sure is filling that arm-losing quota fast this time around
The saiyans showed their superior intelligence again by opting for throwing rocks at the guy when the beams weren't working
Then at the end I guess vegeta forgot why they were throwing rocks in the first place but for some reason it worked out anyway so no big deal. I guess he stopped holding back for a split second there, but don't worry I'm sure he'll be back to doing it again by next episode.

Haha that Dr. Rota from U6 was a fucking joke.

And tbh I was disappointed by Tien, not that I really had high expectations, when he cornered his enemy I thought nice, at least he can have one moment of glory, tho, but they didn't even grant him that without taking him out.

Next week we will see the most cunning person.

To be honest that scene made perfect sense: Vegenta blasted directly Doctor Rota who was pinning the Ki reflect guy, so they were both thrown out.

Last episode was really lit, then we get this. I enjoyed it, but so many things didnt make sense...

Goku, and most of his friends can move at insane speeds, yet they struggle to take down a slow, 1-trick-pony. I understand the fight would end fast, but then at least make the opponents stronger.

Beerus acknowledged Tien, while he took down only 2 enemies (one of them was combined attack with Muten Roshi), and was furious when Krillin took down 3 enemies and fell.

How did Tien fall down, while the laser guy didn't, while Tien was farther away from the edge of the ring???

I wonder if Vegeta will be the next to fall off, since the ending has some sort of order. and I wonder how it's going to happen. He's like the 2nd or the 3rd strongest in the team, he must go down in a fierce fight!

32 minutes, and 36 combatants left btw.

I knew someone was going to say that :) . But, honestly, around an ennemy with only the ability to reflect ki blast, you should not use ki blast anyway.

What if Doctor Rota just get away from the pink guy and then he reflected the blast against vegeta ? What if the pink guy just reflected the ki blast with his hand ? What if the pink guy (after the hit of the blast on doctor rota) reflected the blast ?

Sure, it's a manga, so everything went perfectly fine (no one get out of the way, no one noticed that vegeta was preparing a ki blast for 5 seconds and annoucing his attack with a "shut the hell up"). But, that does not mean it was coherent to do so :)

Honestly, this was a boring episode. This arc keeps going up and down, I thought they would've padded out all the weaklings with that female Broly attack. Instead they are using tem for padding especially when Goku and co could've beat someone like this week's opponent in seconds. :|

The Naruto style running made me laugh a bit here and there though. xD

Hmm not really much happened in this episode. Sure Piccolo and Tien got some screentime which was nice but overall it was kinda boring with this sniper and that weird mirror guy who could reflect KI attacks.

But I had to laugh at Vegeta at the end when he blasted the Dr. and the reflect guy from the field because they were so annoying :D

Next episode we will see Frost again. I hope it will be better as this episode.

Is doctor Rota a doctor of medicine? What is his phd and his field of expertise? We'll probably never know.

The episode was okay. The Clayman/Wobbuffett enemy was fine. Super however still suffers from its nostalgia milking nature. Pretty much every of the recent episodes is just a trivia game for the viewer to see if he still remembers this or that technique. Any other shonen fighting series is trying to introduce a new technique in its fights or come up with a clever way for the characters to overcome their enemies, while the really good ones actually bother with the writing and try to progress the plot in an interesting way, Super on the other hand only has the nostalgic fan service.

Yeah, seems the writers don't have much of an idea what to do with him throughout the entirety of the arc. He explicitly asked whether he is allowed to kill people in the tournament. You would assume he is looking to go berserk on his oponnents, but logically thinking, he must be slacking off in some lonely corner, considering the lack of fights he was involved in and the confirmed amount of already defeated fighters.

Piccolo still protecting Gohan, despite Gohan being so much stronger is so awesome to me, Tien lost in the dumbest way in my opinion. Vegeta seems pretty reckless to me so that could haunt him in the future. Next episode might be really good too so I'm excited for that.

You mean Tien's Multi Form technique? Tien used it in original Dragon Ball already, when fighting Goku in the half finals of the 23rd world martial arts tournament. Most of the things happening in Super are throwbacks to original DB and Z.

I still can't help but feel this episode would have been a lot more interesting if they had more interesting interactions rather than playing it safe with Gohan/Piccolo and Goku/Vegeta. Those two interactions, the latter in particular, have become pretty uninteresting and dare I say, dull.

It would have been a lot funner to see Vegeta and Piccolo having to throw rocks at people imo. Along with that rather than having Piccolo losing three arms in the span of a few in-universe second, it would have been more refreshing if it had been Goku showing off his battle smarts to get himself and Gohan out of that bind. It would have still been infuriating to see Gohan need to have his hand held throughout the episode but at least it would have been something different.

In regards to Goku and battle smarts, it's still annoying how the only remotely smart battle tactic he's gotten to use throughout these the near dozen episodes that the ToP has gone on has been the SSG into SSB combo.

The sniper battle had bad execution.. Gohan and Piccolo hide under rocks? -.- Goku and Vegeta nerfed for the plot, Toei hates Tien (I feel that it was too short and he only clones himself, attack and nothing more WTF toei), still Super has 2 on my score.
