Was quite sure it was written years before free. (from 2000 to 2002) so to call it a ripoff seems weird.

MAL says 2007 to 2008 (https://myanimelist.net/manga/30829/Dive), but you are correct that it was written quite a bit before Free! aired in 2013.

Thats the manga but it was also a novel in 2000 - 2002.

Haikyuu!!, Yuri!!! on Ice and All Out!! are also sports anime that have exclamation marks in their name and some others sports anime do as well.

Maybe it was hoping to get the same kind of fame as Free! by being about an aquatic sport in Summer, however, it is not a ripoff unless we see the same story but in diving as opposed to swimming and, as far as episode 1 goes (since I haven't read the novel or manga), it doesn't seem like the same story. At most we'll likely see similar characters but all sports anime has its basic and expected "group of characters" more than established; just part of the genre.

I dont get it, how can anybody thing that Dive is a ripoff from Free? Just because "Hey look, water"? One is diving and the other is swimming. By that logic, Free is more of a ripoff from Kenkou Zenra-kei Suiei-bu Umishou when it comes solely to the art of sport since both deal with swimming (and yeah, Umishou came way before Free).
But the story (judging by episode 1) seems to not be similar at all. So, whats this deal about ripoff? Yeah, dudes in water, so what? Its like saying "Uhhh, Wangan Midnight is a ripoff from Initial D because, ya know, Cars and stuff" even tho one is drag racing (well, more like it) and the other is drifting with clear different stories.

I have feeling like if not Free! or Yuri on Ice! got anime adaptations nobody would think about make anime for Dive!!

This feels like producent was like:
"We need something like Free! Do we got series with swimming guys? With BL vibes? Give me it!"
"Hm... We got Dive!!"

C'mon... To hide bad plot and bad MC they bring lot of popular seyiuu and good animation studio.

Evem without knowing that Dive was released before Free its still pretty obvious that it's not a ripoff of anything. One is about swimming, the other about diving? Lol. Where is the 'blatant ripoff?'

I dont need to be here long enough (or at all) to see generalizations like that. But it doesnt make it less stupid. Especially in this case where we dont even see swimming at all, we only see diving. But people go "Uh, water and all" like idiots.
As if "Water=Swimming and nothing else". By that stupid logic, lets take "Monkey Turn" (yeah, its an Anime) and claim that it is a ripoff from Free or Umishou (or rather vice-versa since Monkey Turn is older than those), ya know, because "water yall". Even tho Monkey Turn is clearly about hydroplane racing and not swimming.
While some generalizations are fine, the ones like this one is just plain stupid.

Well, you could wear an unbuttoned shirt and just never get in the pool. You could also have a few girls, who hopefully wouldn't be topless.
