Is Dragon Cry really coming to US theaters?

Funimation has said that we will be getting a US release in theaters but they've said nothing about it since then. That date, June 6th, has been floating around, but some people have have that was a mistake on IMDb's part. I've checked multiple times to look for shows and tickets in my area and many others and I've seen nothing.

Been dying to see this movie since it was released in Japan, but I see nothing online, and nothing specific about when it will come out in theaters.

I'm hoping the reason isn't because the US is waiting for it to be dubbed. Never been much of a fan of dubs cause what they say can be changed drastically sometimes. Although, many Americans hate subtitles so that honestly is probably the reason why.

If anyone has any way that an American can watch this (subbed not dubbed), free or not, please tell me as I've been dying to see this movie.

And I wonder if we will be getting to see this movie in theaters soon.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, I have not seen or heard any advertisment for this even here in Canada.

Yeah I have the day off today since I posted this at 12:31 AM and I've been dying to watch the movie since it came out

From what people are saying on Twitter, Funimation lost the rights to promote and screen Fairy Tail Dragon Cry in the United States. That would explain why we never heard about the movie from Funimation since the first announcement on social media.
