Okay ive been seeing people complain about the fanserice in his series about it being hentai "which its not by the way" when To Love-ru is just as guilty with its borderline hentai fanservice happening right the hell out of no where.

Yes To Love-Ru is good series, but after 162 chapters of the original manga and 56 of Darkness its getting really, really repetitive, fanservice happening just for fanservice sake and BS excuses for Rito to get yelled at or decked. Sure we got more plot development regarding the girls buts its getting way to dragged out now.

Shinmai Maou no Testament on the other hand is based off a not to long novel series, 8 so far. I get a Highschool DxD, Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica and Trinity Seven from it, I don't mind the fanserive in here it doen't happen all the time like To Love-Ru, plus I find the censors funny with its chibi's not like that stupid white mist censorship, also its more suddle. All the girls are strong and can kick ass, not like To Love-ru where some are strong while the rest are bystanders. The most biggest one is that the MC (Basara) is a strong badass that gets a getting pretty cool power up later on, not like Rito with his perverted godly fall, and I really like harem's with a strong and capable MC like Issei from DxD, Ichika from Infinite Stratos, Negi from Negima and Tenchi, Seina and Kenshi from the Tenchi series, Also it's ecchi moments aren't forced and are naturally done and the Mc gets to literally have softcore sex with the girls which I prefer, then non stop teasing.

What do all of you think?

It's not hentai it's borderline hentai ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Just look at the uncensored blu ray version and the ova ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

"Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica"
Same author btw and it's definitely dxd inspired and better ;)

The reason people complain about the fanservice in this show and not as much as To-Love-Ru is because while To-Love-Ru has it more frequently, it stays clearly defined as ecchi. As the person above me said, Testament may not be hentai, but its borderline hentai. The intensity of fanservice in this is crazy (hell I'm surprised I'm coming back for a season two... actually, this was popular enough to get a season 2? I thought the crazy fanservice would put people off.)

I'm basicically getting a "I like testament more, so I'm gonna defend that its better than To-Love-Ru in everyway and disagree with any negative opinions about it" from you, even if you weren't intending to give that off.

You also seem to have been basing your judgement off the censored version. please be aware that censored version was for prime time audiences and is not actually what the show was intending for you to see. Those chibbi characters arnt supposed to be there...

You know it's funny because there's plenty of anime and hentai with elements like angels, demons, fallen angels, Gods, and magical items before DxD was created. XD

I for one find The Testament of Sister New Devil's censorship very funny especially because of the Chibi version of the characters. Like in episode 9 after Yuki told Basara to dominate her after her master-servant ceremony, then right when Basara was about to touch Yuki's breast a chibi version of Yuki appears in a flash. I don't complain about the fanservices in a 12 episode anime especially if that 12 episode anime was based from a pretty long harem/ecchi Light Novel/Manga series. Some animes have a lot fanservice and some fans complain about it because the anime they were hoping to like wasn't going the direction they thought it would go, like "Seriously why this anime is not focusing on world building? They focus way too much on the fanservice and they focus less time on the story!" and some fans complain about the animes with a lot of fanservice because they seen too many generic scenes from previous animes they seen, they complain about like "Oh god this anime is SO generic and I've seen this too many times!" or fans just complain because they criticize the anime thinking the anime was a rip off from some other anime. It's the way people think, some fans are sick and tired of fanservices and they want something new and different, but they are other fans who are willing to give a anime a chance before they judge it. It's understandable.

But other than that I love this series because it's one the harem anime series that have one, a strong, interesting, and likable main male character, two, Basara is no fucking pussy and he doesn't get too nervous around the girls, three, Basara knows his surroundings and knows what kind of world he's in, four, Basara is very smart and he's not dense, stupid, or dim witted, five, I like all the girls in the series including Mio, all the characters are lively and they don't make bored, and six, I like the story and I'm interesting where is going to go and I want to learn more Basara.

Exatly I so agree, oh yeah I really love Mio's chibi I just find the expression really funny. Also it did something right that Highschool DxD didn't do shortning the novel content by adding it in a OVA instead of filler or orginal stuff.

Very true. I don't like Highschool DxD anymore but yeah I agree that due to having a lot of light novels, DxD's OVA can be original and filler episodes, because the series has a lot of story material they can cover over new seasons.

still can't figure out why there are complaints about fan service in the harem genre anyway extreme or not. once you see the tag harem or ecchi continuing to watch that anime you pretty much saying your ok with the fan service your about to receive, I could understand hating it if it came out of the blue in some other genre

I watch this for the plot.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

What plot do you mean now, actual plot...or the way people use it as a stupid metaphor for echhi elements?
Cause I also watch this series for the amazing story, comedy and great characters :D

The second one. To me, the comedy in this series(if it had any, not that I noticed) was weak, the animation(outside the fanservice)is meh and story is a broken mess but that comes with Light Novel Anime and since I'm only here for the fanservice, it doesn't matter about the story to me otherwise(like I said in another post that i can't remember), I'd be watching the Golden Standard Anime like FMA: Brotherhood or Cowboy Bebop.

I'm the black sheep here and actually enjoyed the plot and characters (mainly Basara and Mio). I also watched this for the ecchi, but I got pretty bored of them due to just bad representation. I only enjoyed the shower scene and Zesto scene from Burst while I cringed from the other fan service scenes.

Girls sticking their tongue out from stimulation, getting stimulated by arm pit licking... I'm just wtf?... Can't they just animate a nice grind or something since it's border hentai.. make it more realistic...haha

I view TLR as a comedy ecchi, so I'm more lenient with it I guess.
