If Nike and Livi are married and Livi is king, why is Nike called princess and not queen?

I only recall the orphan kids calling her queen, and it's been bugging me.

As for Royal titles, it very much depends on the country. Just look at England for example right now. They have a queen and her husband is a Prince not a king.

Some other royal households have had kings and queens.

In the anime they were not formally married in the Kingdom of Sun anyway so her current title would be that of her own country.
