| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ugh. This anime is becoming more and more disappointing/cliche. Seriously. I almost feel as if the writer doesn't even know how to play baseball. There are just TOO MANY things that do NOT happen in baseball. Runners stealing third base? WTF, NO. Toshiya being able to call Goro's pitches as they leave his hand. Wtf? Give me a break. *sighs* I want this to be over before it gets any more stupid. |
| ^^ I agree, I'm finding myself disapointed in this third season, but its still pretty decent. The first season is a classic though, imo. Anyway, WTF was Kaido doing throwing to first when they should have thrown home to get the force out? Also, runners do steal third, its not very common but it happens, same goes for stealing home too which has only happened a few times. |

| Ha, I just love that dumb look on Toshi's face. Someone should deadball him while he has it on; that would be great. Goro really is great to notice that kind of weakness he has though. If only he was as smart in other topics that didn't require analytical stuff. The thing about sports anime/manga is that it would be boring if it was realistic. I mean Prince of Tennis has amazing shots that are impossible, but that impossibleness makes it exciting. |

| Toshi comes up with another counter and strikes, and Goro figures it out, corrects it and now Goro gets lucky. Man this gets predictable sometimes. |

| It's almost time for Kaidou to switch the pitchers I guess. You say it's predictable but I'm still not sure if Seishuu really wins this match. It would be too ridiculous if Kaidou's all hard-working goes waste against a group of ameteurs. |
| Goddamnit Goro, you have to be more defensive, from time to time. Especially, when the other player try to steal base. Also, I'm not sure I understand why Taiga isn't at the shortstop. Being fast and since he's not able to throw far, the second base can easily compensate. I'm kinda surprised no one slipped yet when running base. The ground must be all muddy at this point. Toshiya being able to detect which balls to hit is a cyborg at this point. Timming the batting is one thing, figuring if it's in the strike zone is another. Being able to see if it's spinning in the air, that's maybe a bit too unrealistic. It's also kinda annoying that Goro don't know other pitch than his gyro at this point. His gyro sure is impressive, but when you always throw the same ball, the batter is gonna figure it somehow. He can only rely on its speed and his control, but when he lose either of them, everything crumble. |

| Hmm, I thought that Goro will regret leaving Kaido and get reckt but it seems that Kaido's level have dropped considerably if they can't reckt such newbies like Goro's team. It feels like previous team was better. |

| Surprised that Kaido didn't already replace their pitcher after his initial mistakes. He's not in the condition to pitch properly, and they have like two backup pitchers. Oh well, Seishu is back in the game with rain and luck lol. I wonder how they'll mess up next episode though, doubt they'll pull a grand slam so early. |

| I don't know why everyone is surprised when it comes to the pitching. Gorou was able to give the main Kaidou team an extremely difficult time over a year ago, and he's gotten faster since then. As long as he keeps up his stamina and doesn't get too shaken up, it's entirely plausible for this team to hold down Kaidou as well as they have been. Yes, Kaidou has improved too, but a 150km/h to 156km/h gryoball isn't something you can really practice for ahead of time, as Toshiya said before. When combined with the bad weather conditions, conditions that are detrimental to both sides mind you, I think this does create a scenario where winning against Kaidou isn't entirely impossible even if it is still quite difficult. I'm expecting them to replace the Kaidou pitcher sometime soon though. He's performing too badly in this rain. |

Its like to say: "Psycho Pass is such too much of fantasy / future cliche. Feels like the writer doesnt know about technology." Well, its Anime. |

| i agree the whole "toshi able to see the slight of blank ball of goro" is kinda unrealistic, but this is anime. anyway i believed that goro and toshiro knew about, it's just matter of goro to master his pitching. and goro really confusing me, i really don't get where he got confidence his weak team will be able to win kaido even if they redo the match, it's ok to trust luck and strategy but it seems his faith is more on his team abilities... | Bless the rain for making Ichihara slip-up like that however Seishu struggling against him and getting some lucky moments doesn't forbode well in case Kaido finally brings in Mayumura |
