Any of you done any crazy anime marathons before?

I just did one myself which lasted 5 and a half days, since I start my job on Monday and wanted to watch as much damn anime as possible between Tuesday and Sunday. I could've watched a bit more, but the ending point I found with Sky Girls was just too perfect that I was highly satisfied ending it there.

Some stats from my marathon (Shows listed in order of viewing).

Card Captor Sakura Specials - 3 Episodes (5 Minutes Each), 7/10
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien - 14 Episodes, 8/10
Code Geass - 27 Episodes, 8/10
ef - a tale of memories - 12 Episodes, 8/10
Minami-ke - 13 Episodes, 7/10
Tokyo Marble Chocolate - 2 Episodes, 7/10
Myself; Yourself - 13 Episodes, 9/10
Pugyuru - 13 Episodes (3.5 Minutes Each), 6/10
Sky Girls OVA - 1 Episode, 7/10
Tekkaman Blade (Unfinished) - 3 Episodes
Sky Girls - 26 Episodes, 8/10

In the end, this all came out to 12 Series watched (11 Completed) and 151 Episodes (138 after condensing Pugyuru and CCS Specials) between Tuesday Morning and Sunday Afternoon.

I'm not the type of person to marathon... at least to that extent.. the only thing I've done like that is watch Nodame Cantabile 5-23 from 12am to 8am (had breaks in between). I was suppose to go to sleep ideally at 3am (was on holiday) but I just got sucked in hard core.

Also watch the CG Picture Book specials! Good info and some fun scenes! All the school council members cross dress so Lulu in a dress = lol.

Hmm i don't know what you mean by marathon, i usually define it as one sitting, in which case my longest was Blood+ 50 eps (well i watched like 2 of them previous day). If you define it as days doing nothing but watching anime, I have done that for weeks lol

My definition of marathon is similar to that of DazarGaidin. My longest one would be 30-40 episodes of Maison Ikkoku. That is extreme though, but I used to finish 26 episodes show in a sitting without any problems. Not anymore though, nowadays I watch 5 episodes per day at best.
I can still marathon at weekends though.

I in general consider marathons to be one show, I called this a marathon because it consisted of back-to-back marathons of multiple shows, usually with only an hour or two between the shows. I did sleep though, Code Geass and Sky Girls wasn't done in one sitting.

I marathoned most of Bleach from about episode 11 (I had taken a vacation and only watched up to 10+11, couldn't watch further since I didn't have comp access) to roughly 75, in the span of 3-4 days. That's the most I've ever done.

I toned down during the Bount arc because while I enjoyed it, it wasn't marathon material.

I don't have time for marathons anymore. At most whenever I watch something nowadays I can get in about 10 - 14 episodes. I remember last year I watched at least half of Monster in one sitting.

I never marathon, period. In fact, it's been well over a fortnight since I last watched a single episode due to being virtually unable to watch anime in my house.

I've marathoned before, but not as long as you have. The most I've marathoned was 24 episodes of Kare Kano with a friend of mine. We skipped the two recap episodes and watched until 4:30 A.M. I have marathoned before (at least five different days), but haven't really done so recently due to lack of free time.

You, are insane. That is all. :P

I think I've said this before, but I did the first two seasons of CCS(up to episode 46 and the first movie) in one sitting before, and finished it shortly afterwards. I don't think I've ever done more than that.

The only shows I have ever Marathoned are Hunter X Hunter and The Twelve kingdoms. And they were un-intentional. I was just so engrossed by them. I watched both in a few days. They are just too good!

Most in a single day (From when I woke up till I went to sleep)
35 episodes of Hajime no Ippo
37 episodes of Hikaru no Go
40 episodes of Monster

Most in a 7 day span
153 episodes. This was when I re-watched Ippo for the first time. So that's 76 (don't think the movie and special were out then). I think I was watching Samurai Deeper Kyo, Magical Project S and some GetBackers.

200 episodes. Never in my life will I have enough free time to do something like this again. Not that I'd want to either... This was in 2004 and I started re-watching Dragonball. Before I knew it, I had two 30+ ep day back to back and decided to see how far I could go. I'd say about 130 of them were Dragonball and the rest was Sailor Stars, Prince of Tennis and lots of City Hunter.

A few years ago I had a job where I pretty much needed to be near my computer most of the day. So that was a huge anime year. I probably watched at least 20 episodes a day so 100+ ep weeks were normal.

When I marathon, its usually to watch one series all the way through. I have not done one for a while, but I'm just waiting until the final DVDs of Eureka Seven and Ah! My Goddess second season are released in March, and I anticipate a marathon for both of those!

Ha thats the same as me. At the time i would watch 8 or so episodes per day of Bleach until i got to the fillers then i stopped completely. Same for naruto until the fillers kicked in.

I can't watch more than 4 in a role before i get tired unless i'm really enjoying it like the Naruto vs you know who arc or a lot of the Ippo fights. At the moment its Legend of the Galactic Heroes. I can watch about 4 before i get tired but watch a few more the same day sometimes.

I rarely watch one series until i finish it. I like to have many shows on the go at the same time so if i need some action to get me over watching a few episodes of Kanon ill just watch a few Zeta epsidoes or if i need a pick me up and can always watch something easy to enjoy like Rosario+Vampire.

The last show i watched almost 100% was the first season of Nanoha just to catch up a bit.

I rarely intend to watch an anime marathon-style. It sometimes happens that after a certain point I can't wait to see the end though. It happened that way with both Nanoha series, for example. I just couldn't hold on much longer.

Mostly I tend to watch at most about 4 episodes an evening, and not every evening. I'd love to get caught up on my anime backlog, but really I can't take in much more than that, unless the mood takes me.
