Anyone else watching Kaiji? I picked it back up recently[too much going on in life bah]and it's sucking me in just like Akagi did. Epic soundtrack as well.

Anyone here watched Green Green? If not, then don't. It's pretty bad. The best thing to come out of that series was the ending theme "Aozora" by Yuria.

I just finally got around to watching Armitage III (which I got it as an xmas gift). From the description I was expecting a pretty run-of-the-mill cyberpunk action series, but I was surprised at how good it was. Good music, clean and fluid animation, buckets of style, and a sufficiently convoluted conspiracy plot.

I've looked at the cover and that usually made me kinda put it off. What's it like? GITS? Battle Angel?

Yeah, the cover really does it a disservice, it initially put me off too. It's somewhere between Battle Angel and Bladerunner (of course what cyberpunk movie/show doesn't get compared to Bladerunner?). Armitage is a whooooole lot like Gally/Alita in many respects, but the story and character interaction draws more from Bladerunner. There's some other similarity to something I've seen, but I can't remember what it is right off hand.

seen all three of the armitage movies, not bad but not worth buying imo.

Well I was a cyberpunk fan long before getting into anime, so perhaps I'm biased. ;p

I liked it a lot better than Battle Angel at least. That one took me a while to find a copy of the DVD for cheap, but when I did it was such a disappointment for me compared to the manga. ;_;
