I haven't read the manga in a while, but if I remember right, doesn't the Alma arc happen after a few small arcs from where the anime left off? Yet they want to start the Alma arc and probably finish it within 13 episodes? Can anyone explain to me how this could work out, because it would be easier than re-reading the manga to find a way they could!

They skipped the Zombi arc. The 1st episode starts at chapter 165. And it ends on the events of chapter 168. So episode 1 had four chapters covered.

Chances are they aren't going to go until the end of the manga. There's no telling where they plan to stop, or what order they will go in. The 1st trailer showed stuff from chapter 187.

They may stop around chapter 205. They may stop sooner.

Even if they skip the Zombie arc they may pull a katanagatari and make the episodes 30+ mins. However, after doing some research on the disc releases of Dgrayman Hallow I found that on average each disc will have 2 eps, the first having 3. This could go either way, on one hand most anime in Japan have 3-4 eps per disc on releases. While Hallow fits this for the first disc the other 5 only have 2 per disc. So either they just cut a lot of corners or the episodes will be 30+ mins.

Only thing I have to go on is the review for the 1st episode. And it says the episode went by pretty quickly. So it doesn't sound like it was 30 min. Usually many shows aren't that long. They only stretch out to 30 min with the openings, endings, plus commercials in-between. When you get done taking that out, you're left with around 18-23 min. of actual episode material.

I noticed it with Naruto Ship. I download the episode, but cut out the songs. When I get done, the episode is 19:35 in length.

But that was just episode 1. Who knows what they will do. They may not do them all the same. One episode may be short, and some may stretch out like an OVA.

It can't be just me that's scared by the fact there's so much to do in only 13 episodes

Not surprised. Korea dramas are gaining popularity and Japan anime and dramas are declining in popularity in Japan and most other countries.

Dunno about wherever you live, but in most South American countries, the US & Canada, some of the Middle East, and some of Europe, Anime is rising in popularity like never before.
Anime has been steady in Japan since it's inception. No worries there.
I'll concede the popularity of K Dramas. Don't see how one would diminish the other though.

Completely agree. I've seen popularity in anime rise more in the west in a year, than the 5 years before. Netflix playing a major role in this and even planning to make their own anime (with help from Production I.G)...

Maybe they're going to continue in seasons? Or was it confirmed somewhere that they're doing only 1 season?

That's my hope, I'd rather not wait years to see arcs split up into different cours though

If they rush through the material as is expected, there won't be enough material.

Watching it atm, and they're doing Cross Marian arc right now it seems (The chess match was shown in the first few minutes) And Lenalee voice does not suit her.

I think if they do it the right way way they would leave the last episode at a big cliffhanger and continue from there. That's what I am hoping for this show anyway. They didn't rush things for the first episode based on what I saw comparing it to the manga. For manga readers (don't spoil) if you think some point in the arc they would be on at that time would there be a cliffhanger?

This is what I expect. Many shows now seem to be done in 12-13 ep chunks, so I wouldn't be surprised if they plan to do more if these do okay.
