This looks comparable to Infinite Stratos, Hundred and Saijaku no Bahamut. I don't mind if it's generic, I just hope it's not too cliched and has good humour.

I'm new to anime. The only Harem I've seen was Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou. The ecchi was quite enjoyable, even though that's all the show really had going for it, but that's how most Harem and Ecchi style shows are. I never understood all the hate for those genres because from what I understand, it's pretty rare for those types of show to have good stories. There's plenty of other genres that can satisfy people. But I guess people have nothing better to do then to hate and make pointless threads when they know what to expect. Not sure why you would think other people's opinions would be different, unless those people are actually expecting some crazy, well written story, which most likely isn't the case.

Most of the opinions here are just really biased. You start to notice similarities with shows after you watch a handful of the same genre, it's inevitable.

@Sovereign What's the purpose of watching one episode then dropping it?

People always hate on ecchi-harems as they expect something different. Most harems are like a FPS story mode, it's on a fixed path and you have an idea of what to expect-just enjoy it or don't play/watch it.

I don't understand the people that always hate on it but yet continue to watch with different expectations?

Common components with IS is the harem element, only man in the school with power, a decent amount of ladies-its a lot more lewd than that. Hundred has similar Mecha components, SNB not so much other than Mecha-Generic MC there.

Everything I have read seems like the cliches will be low. There will be a few I am sure but everything seems promising, depends on the adaptation. IMS production is the studio so it should be decent.

@Maverick-sama I guess people just want attention. There's so many other shows that can give them what they want, but they go and watch a harem or ecchi anime with really stupid expectations. They know it's not going to be what they want, but they watch it anyway. The next thing you know they end up giving the show a really biased rating and review.

So true then they start one of the dozen posts a week about how ecchi is ruining anime or is there too much ecchi blah blah blah lol

The reason why Harem/Ecchis gets the most hate is because their ideas are not creative, plain and boring. It gets good for first two or three animes but when you see the same thing over and over you gotta start to wonder. As you said "you're new to anime" so of course you would be surprise for ideas like this but in due time your gonna start wondering why they are making one anime very similar to others that did it before.

@KamenRiderMagna I already understand the fact that Harem/Ecchi's aren't creative, or have a dull and very stale story. Obviously it might not be like that at first, but as we all know you will eventually notice the similarities between the same type of show after watching enough shows in a specific genre. People who are let's say "veterans" of the anime world have definitely seen maybe a good dozen or so of Harem/Ecchi style shows. The thing is, when a new Harem/Ecchi is released people always go into the show with high expectations. Occasionally you also get people like the guy who started this thread to get people's opinions on a show that he/she knows is going to end up being generic.

Most people don't even watch Harem/Ecchi for the story. It's like the people who say they watch Hentai for the story. Pfft, no you don't, it's fap material. People just don't want to leave their comfort zone and admit it.

When I watched "Ichiban no Daimaou" the story was practically non-existent, but the characters and the ecchi made it enjoyable. People are to tied down to realize that you don't always need an interesting plot to enjoy the show.

But that barely scratches the surface of what I'm trying to explain. According to what I've seen, 90% of people think the show "Hundred" is bad because it's an exact copy of "Infinite Stratos." It has a terrible rating on crunchyroll, so that might be true. However, let's say you're new to anime and you've never seen a Harem/Ecchi, then technically "Hundred" can be a really good show for a newbie. Also, people who enjoy ecchi would probably like it as well, and they may give it a slightly lower rating for being similar to "Infinite Stratos" and that's if they've seen it.

It really just depends on the person. If you're open minded, and don't take certain genres like Harem/Ecchi too seriously then you can basically enjoy every show that comes out. Some will be more enjoyable then others depending on the characters and the execution. Yes, you will come across shows that you generally won't like, but like I said before, you will notice the similarities of each show once you've seen enough. Besides it takes time for a really creative or unique show to come to light.

That's a stretch, about the only thing similar is the ecchi/harem element and battle suits/Mecha. Read the LN and you will see there are a vast amounts of different aspects. Not really close at all.

OK, you are entitled to your opinion.

Reading isn't a huge time waste, some of us prefer to do some reading. I'll leave it at that.

Some positive points I see:

    The boobs are incredibly voluptuous.

The character design is by Hisasi.

Not really related to the anime but I just realized there has already been a pretty nice nude (cast-off) figure based off of this for a while http://myfigurecollection.net/item/236336

So yeah, I'm interested. The one thing that worries me are the holy censorship rays in the PV.

Reading normal books like HP series, Lake Queen and other random yet interesting stuff is good...just that wapanese writers sucks on their own stories... + I prefer books being translated into my own language....

MAL User-Review on School Harem Anime in a nutshell. (You've made my day!)
They hate it but still watch it.. How weird.

There's no choice, There's no escape. It's look like this is only School Harem Anime in this season according to MAL. And yeah...

Oh boy, another one of these shows. Well I'm glad this is the only one next season. Plus there's seemingly almost no hype for this show over in Japan so chances are it's going to sell like crap.

Even Japan doesn't seem to like these shows anymore. There's less and less of them every season, the Blu-ray sales are mediocre to terrible most of the time and people just outright stop talking about them after they finish. I mean, who the hell still cares about World Break in 2016?

i've read the LN and let me tell you right now, you're better off watching both seasons of Asterisk and i'd rather have seven of my toes cut off than watch that shit again.

one of the most childish things i've ever read. makes 'the very hungry caterpillar' look like 'dune'.

Uh excuse me but there are a lot of ecchi shows that were successful and got more than one season. Highschool DXD, Shinmai Maou, Infinite Stratos, and To Love Ru sold well so don't judge a show just by appearances just yet pal. Plus this one doesn't have that censored crap we have to deal with and have to wait for the bluray release. ATX uncensored broadcast plus if you've not been reading the light novel this series can get borderline hentai and I mean borderline.

Wouldn't waste My breath. This type of post already tells you the poster has a unfavorable biased against this show. Ecchi/harems are hated or loved. There isn't much middle ground, the vocal minority post hate as fast as they can type.

I think this show will do well and I'm currently finishing Volume 7 of the LN this week.

This is a heavy ecchi borderline H-stuff anime. There are tons of lewd scenes in the LN so I don't know what's getting adapted but I have high hopes-If you don't know that going in your in for a surprise. This will be close to No Testament considering IMS production is producing the show, same poeple who did not Testament.

Bring on the Lewd Harem battle school action.

Alright, Just read the first volume and I was right it does have Shinmai Maou vibe to it.

+ The MC is not generic (or over the top pervert)
+ The ecchi moment are good
= The female characters are interesting but yet bland in personality
- It's starts out so generic as hell.

Later on in the series there are a few interesting females added to the mix. The MC still has the focus of the story so much so that a generic female character or two will do till later on.The ladies in the beginning

Refreshing to see comments from people who read the LN before making their mind up.

I used to be one those people and yes.. I have now regretted my review on Hundred because it felt biased I only watched four episodes and I'm not gonna lie my review was horrible. Anyways back on topic, I was kinda cautious and I thought it was gonna be "One of those shows" then I saw the PV and It did something familiar so I read the LN to confirm suspicions.
