| I just recently finished up K-On! which I surprisingly liked. I started watching it when I was sick at the beginning of spring because I didn't want anything plot heavy and while I thought it was stupid at first I actually wound up really enjoying it. I had decided on watching it after watching Kids on the Slope, which is a jazz anime. I've been wanting to get more into the music genre lately and while Kids on the Slope was great musically, the romance aspect of it was just annoying. This boy liked this girl, but she liked this other boy who actually likes this other girl who happens to like the boy's role model, etc. etc. It was a huge love circle and while I don't mind romantic suspense, that was too much. I did enjoy the anime overall, though, as I love jazz music. I'm currently watching Fairy Tail, Parasyte: The Maxim, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha, and Sailor Moon, though I'm not as actively keeping up with Sailor Moon as I would like. All are really good anime, especially Fairy Tail. It's definitely made it into my top 10 favorites. |

| I enjoyed K-On a lot when I first watched it, it was in my top 10. But that was pretty long ago and as I've watched more anime I've come to generally dislike "cute girls doing cute things" anime's. But I still enjoy K-On to some extent. I like romance anime when there's one guy and one girl. Love circles and love triangles are so frustrating to watch ,__, There are some things about Fairy Tail that I really like and some I really dislike. I love the overall concept of the anime, it's very similar to Monster Hunter which is one of my favorite game series. You have your guild, a team if you want to, grab a quest from the questboard and go out to slay that monster. There's more to it in Fairy Tail though. The colorful theme and atmosphere of the anime is very nice. When they're hanging out in the guild house I always feel like eating for some reason. And the soundtrack... it's both epic and beautiful. What I don't like about it is the characters and battle scenes. Only character I really cared about was Happy.. I guess Gajeel was kinda nice as well. The characters were to stereotypical, felt like I had seen them all before. While the battle scenes were fancy and flashy they felt to repetitive, every battle was similar to the rest. I think that is because the battle system is your typical "raw strength+power ups always wins" concept. No strategy or depth to the battles just go all in and let the one with the most power win. Then there's the classic dialogues and monologues going on about friendship and comradeship or who's the strongest. It gets really tiring I think. TL;DR BUT this is just my unpopular opinion. Overall I can definitely see why people would enjoy the anime, so I'm not surprised about it's popularity. |

| You basically described most basic shonen shows right there. Been a while since I watched Fairy Tail. I need to get back to it, really enjoyed what I watched. I'm currently making my way through One Piece. So many episodes, but the series is so amazing that I can't stop. |

| Well yeah.. and that's why I dislike most basic shounen :( I got One Piece on hold, around episode 310 or so. The characters are pretty good and I really love the adventure parts of the show. But the battles are so boring......... |

| So I watched all of Dagashi Kashi yesterday. I really enjoyed it. If you're someone who likes plot heavy anime or avoids perverted humor then this might not be for you. It's only 12 episodes, though, so I definitely think it's worth the watch if you need something to pass the time. I'm about to start Dusk Maiden of Amnesia and I'll probably finish that up in a day as it's also a short anime. |

| Okay, finished Dusk Maiden of Amnesia! Really enjoyed that one as well! I was a bit iffy with it at first as it had comedy and romance when I heard it was supposed to be horror and mystery but all the genres ended up balancing each other out really well, in my opinion. I also like horror/mystery/psychological anime where they have to figure out someone's hidden past and learn the truth about the events that occurred in order to help them in the present day, especially if someone is sent back to the past and relives those memories as if they had been there firsthand, like in this anime. I definitely recommend it to those who enjoy the genre. |

| Gotta watch 15 different anime by the end of summer. We were given a specific list of anime: 5 summer themed ones, 5 food themed ones, and 5 horror themed ones. There are quite a few on the list that I've been wanting to watch so thankfully this challenge is actually helping me get some things completed. What's anime roulette? And I've been wanting to watch that one. It looks good. |

| Damn, that's quite a few. But it's definitely a great way to get things completed. Good luck and enjoy. It is a game where everyone adds one anime to the pool, and after the deadline all anime gets randomly given out to the participants. You wont get anime's that you've already seen. You then have 1 month to finish it. It could be a suggestion for this club. |

| I just watched AnoHana... I've been looking forward to this one ever since it aired and I was genuinely disappointed by it. Nothing but an angsty teen love circle. I can't stand love circles. They annoy the shit out of me. It if wasn't for that it would've been an alright anime. |
