End of the 9th volume with this chapter.

And end of the Peter Story. That was so perfect. Maybe the best manga volume I read in my whole life. And I read so fucking many of them.

Just finished the volume 9. There are things that I don't quite understand. For example why Ai confessed to Peter, despite the fact that she met him just a couple of times? Or why was she so upset that Peter loves Mato? Is she that light-minded? If so, I'm pretty disappointed. Prior to that, she was my favorite character in the Amanchu.

Yeah, this whole volume was absolutely wonderful. As much as I love Aria, I think Amanchu is a better series on the whole; it feels like Amano-sensei's work as a mangaka really reached its maturity with this series.

Well, Peter clearly made an impression on Ai, which is why she likes him after meeting him only a few times. Also, I think it's normal to feel a bit sad when the person you like actually likes someone else. I don't think that means she's small-minded; if she were, she'd be acting jealous or speaking badly about Mato-sensei or Peter. In fact, she left Peter and Mato together, telling them to take their time (basically, cheering them on).

I KNEW IT.

Well, I only figured it out (Peter's identity) when I finished chapter 54. :/

I'm not even gonna bother trying to make sense of the timeline. IIRC Mato-sensei actually spoke to Peter in the present day back at the end of the school festival arc regarding him trying to spirit Ai away or something, but that wouldn't make any sense given that she's long forgotten most of that stuff and believes it to have all been a dream. And that's if you decide to consider it possible for past!Peter to show up even though Neverland should have long since vanished because of timey-wimey shenanigans.

I suppose you can consider it necessary for past!Peter to show up in the present day though, because he wouldn't have been acquainted with Ai otherwise and it would cause a temporal paradox since she wouldn't have been there to convince him to end the dream, which means IRL!Peter as they know him couldn't possibly exist.

What a disaster... and I was liking the story. Now it's just a messy clichê triangle/romcom.
