It seems Karharot's suspicions were spot-on in the chapter 49 discussion. It was a great chapter, seeing Souna stand up and fight so well. I can only hope that Ronel carves up those hydra bastards before Garami attacks her.

I kinda wish I weren't right because this is gonna suck :( There will be no happy ending for Ronel, I too think it would be very nice if she could at least get those bastards and carve them to pieces for all that they have done but I have a bad feeling that Garami will interfere with that and at least the boss of the gang will be able to run away and bring even more trouble on the group and misery to the world :(
But it sure was nice to witness the results of Souna growth, he may be still just a young kid but now he can stand for himself. And Garami and Reid lending a helping hand was somewhat heartwarming, it's good to see that even in this dark world Souna can get a little help from others when he really needs it.

I wonder though... Is the way Garami is raising Souna just her way of caring for him and trying to make sure that he will be able to take care of himself and that what is important to him when they are no longer together? Or is there something more, like for example him becoming the successor of her sword and mission when she reaches the end of her life? Depending on how the current situation will unfold and how much crap he is gonna once more see he may end like that even if she doesn't wish that for him...
New profile design sucks.

I have that feeling as well, because if Hydra is killed by Ronel it would sort of deprive Souna of his revenge. It wouldn't bother me at all, but I have my doubts the author would let it play out that way.

Agreed. I think having people you can rely on and having the strength and determination to fight is all people could hope for in a world like that one. Souna seemed to realize that he had both of those things this chapter.

It is interesting to think about. I do remember Souna being shown as an old man, recording the story, and then later mentioning that he lost "her." It is definitely ambiguous but it does seem certain that Garami will not survive. I guess the question is whether she will succeed in destroying the books before she dies.
