| Oh my god. I am speechless. I'm upset in a good way. Sumire has to be my fave character of the Akari gen but seeing her, the most hyped up character, fail was smart and interesting. I am scared about her standing. IS THIS HOW AIKATSU IS GONNA END? |

| Fever Appeal comes in several different rankings. The level depends entirely on the audience's excitement and impression. However, the higher the ranking the more difficult it becomes to succeed. The ranks range from C to special A. But the special A rank has never been performed because it is the most difficult one. Hinaki's Fever Appeal was an A rank but close to the special A rank. That means Sumire failed to do the special A rank. This also means that Sumire's performance had the highest exitment level and the best impression however because of this it became to hard for her to do the appeal. That is why she tripped and fell. |

There is only 2 episodes left and next episode is Akari's performance Last episode is likely going to be the new Soleil x Luminas collaboration Song... Her last solo performance for the entire series and they made her screw it up... poor sumire. that her last performance, and the writer decided to screwed up her. maybe, that writer give up to decide how akari will win against sumire, and make her tripped so it's reasonable akari to win:D |

| Well...Sumire's failed special appeal makes sense. She was determined to go for the SA rank, which is supposedly next to impossible. I feel comfort in that she went all out and failed trying for something that incredible. She didn't just screw up. Also props to Sumire for being so professional. Even after falling, she got back up and finished the song. <3 They are definitely setting the stage for Akari to pull of an SA appeal next episode, though. Alllllsooo, I guess it is more exciting character/story wise for Sumire to mess up. Because if she just did a great appeal, beat Hinaki, and then Akari did a better appeal and won, that would have been really repetitive. Sumire smiles in the preview for next week, so I am excited to see how they deal with this. 2 more weeks, guys. =[ Also rant about appeals under the spoiler, lol |

| As annoying as it is to see Sumire fail, I personally see it as a compliment to her. Sumire is the most talented active idol in starlight's middle school division so seeing Akari top her normally would of actually made no sense. I love Sumire though. Easily best girl of newer Aikatsu. |

| They killed my mini-Mizuki... Sumire almost got to the top with her awesome song, but it wasn't enough. And now she fails, everyone's "excitement" disperse all at once... she's probably not even going to be in the top 10. BTW, I think the appeal is based on excitement from the audience, the more excited they are the more appeal points you gather, then the Aikatsu system will adjust to that and let you do certain appeals. Think of games and how some of them have a charge up system before you can do special ability/ skills. And if you didn't get enough points... well... this is what happened, the system doesn't activate and shows you the special appeal graphics and moves you through it and you just falls right back onto the ground. |

| I really hope this isn't suppose to be a handicap given for Akari to win.. Don't get me wrong I love Akari to death, but it seems ever since her arc started she hasn't really struggled much in compititions/ect. |

| Hurry up next episode already! Nonetheless, I got way too comfortable for my own good in seeing the idols move with such perfection. Pretty sure at least 99% of the performances shown throughout the series were, on a scale of 1-10, a 10, 11, or 12 in terms of execution. Not this time though! |

| Akari has to win not because she's the MC, but because of thematic importance. At least I was hoping for Sumire to get first place before Akari's perfomance in case they decided not to let her win (like Ichigo), since anyone else being the Queen would be a pile of bullshit, but damn. I'm not even mad since this is a pretty interesting twist, though. I've also been hoping for a final perfomance with Mizuki, Ichigo, and Akari singing SHINING LINE*, but... | I'm expecting Akari to win since this is Aikatsu's end and winning the Starlight Queen Cup was like the only thing Ichigo didn't accomplish, it's kinda obvious. So even though it was sad to see Sumire's failing it was unexpected and interesting. |

Yeah that is probably a good way to think about it. It was not so much a misstep on Sumire's part as her attempting an appeal not supported by the audience's immersion in the concert. There is a new collab song (Dramatic Girl) that is part of the mobile application game, photokatsu. It is actually in the app as of today for the new event (which is about Luminas and Soleil). No other photokatsu songs have appeared in the anime so I can't see them starting now. (Though I would love to see it don't get my wrong). |

| I legit said "Oh shit!" out loud when Sumire fell. She went for all the marbles. No matter what happens, I applaud her (and the writers) for that. Was totally not expecting that. | All i can say is, Poor Sumire-chan. Its true that Sumire work very hard to get to what she is now, not just her in fact EVERYONE work hard. So there is no need to exaggerate to the point because of its Akari's plot armor fault or other anime fault. Of course its a little bit cruel to make Sumire fail in the starlight queen cup. Either way, we need Akari to win because of a promise for the sake of our great Ichigo. We need to fill the last hole so that things can continue to move one. GoGo Ichigo and Akari, i love them not because they are the main character. Thinking far back from episode 1 to last episode, they do work harder than anyone without a doubt and everyone follows both of them, they attract idols and come together. Thats out Aikatsu. |

| - Hinaki is the one to break the A rank appeal and takes 1st place for now because who better to surpass Juri than her partner, Hinaki. Well I did like her song but her performance is overshadowed by Sumire's failed Special A Fever appeal. And with that we are down to just Akari which makes the winner quite obvious. Sumire's one of the hardest working girls and she showed here she her determination to surpass her limits. |

| Poor Sumire. She is most talented singer and only one talented from the main trio. She didn't deserve it. Now Akari can waltz on the stage and win for sure just because the writers "killed" Sumire. |

| This is so unfair. Sumire didn't deserve to fail like that. I feel so sorry for her. And now it's going to be an easy victory for Akari. Sigh. |

| Wow, definitely wasn't expecting to see real risk vs reward applied to the main characters, much less the Luminas trio. And being this late in the game, it's doubly sad to think that Sumire never gets a proper chance to overcome this wall (unless Stars continues this timeline?). Now a very real dilemma is being laid before Akari, who isn't as technically skilled as Sumire and would likely have to risk more to aim for a Special Appeal. To the performances themselves, I absolutely loved Hinaki's. Even setting aside Sumire's misstep, I enjoyed the upbeat, sunshine radiance that Hinaki brought. Her journey in particular has been very satisfying, as she want from an MC that I indifferently tolerated to a lovable part of this next gen trio who has undeniably earned her rightful title as a Vivid Muse. Sumire's Rosen Queen is still very gorgeous though and I love how the song itself feels like a gothic variation of Signalize. Indeed, one might call it a suitable first opening to Vamkatsu! It's still a major bummer that she failed her SA, but her growth and self-discovery as an idol hasn't been missed and is far from a failure. I only wish there had been more episodes to cover their third year as it would have had more impact to see Sumire go on to pull off an SA after growing more. |

| What just happened? Sumire try her best and yet she failed the special appeal. She has come so far since the beginning from lack of self confidence to finally pursue idol seriously only to fail in the queen cup. At least she gotta be proud for trying the hardest, fail and get back up finishing her performance to end. Perfect setup for Akari to be the only on e to succeed the special appeal thus winning the Starlight cup. To be really honest I never like the whole cup thing because of how predictable the result is but I do still enjoy their performances unlike the second season. But still this was really shocking to the point of Sumire didn't do the stage diary. Poor Sumire chan. |
