| Hi all! I know that there is another theory page out there but I feel that it's too narrow since it's only about ken, imperialdramon and the 02 crew. This topic can be a place for all theories relating this movie and the one before. Please don't come here if you haven't watch the movies, because obviously this topic will be full of spoilers. And for that reason, there is no need for anyone to put up spoiler buttons. I'll be posing some of my own questions and speculations below. | My questions first: 1. What is Huckmon's intention? 2. What is with Maki's mysterious smile? 3. What is Maki and Nishijima's organization and how do they know so much about digimon? 4. What happend to Meicoomon at the end of the movie? 5. What is Ken's intention? 6. Is the digimon emperor we saw really Ken? 7. Why did Meimei's Digivice turn black? 8. Why is Alphamon after Meicoomon? 9. What happended to the 02 crew? This is all I can think of for now, and I will answer some of them with my own speculations later. |

| 1. Seems way too suspicious to be just checking things out. There is a possiblity that he is associated with whoever is spreading the virus. Or he could be on the other side figureing out who his allies are and just being over cautious (ran away when leomon noticed him) 2. She is definately hiding something, there isn't even a question. But the question is, what is she hiding? She definately helped whoever made Meicoomon go berserk: leaving Meicoomon alone for the Digimon Emperor to grab, and she wanted all this to happen. She is definately going to be an antagonist, at least until she realizes what she is doing. I think there is still a chance for her to become good again. 3. I mentioned this on the general discussion topic. I think this organization could be founded by the digidestined before Taichi's group. Nishijima said that Maki changed since she was in highschool when they were at the school festival. The amount of knowledge the organization have on Digimon and their close relationship with each other definately supports this theory. If Maki was different in highschool could she be like Joe but instead chose to become an adult and changed? Her speech about not knowing what to do was linked to Joe when the camra was already on Joe but Maki was still talking, even though they are at completely different locations, so I think is hinted that Joe is facing the same problem that Maki faced in highschool but the two chose different paths: Joe chose to stay a digidestined, whereas Maki chose to become an adult. I'm still writing more but I just wanted to post what I have right now. |

| Well hackmon's evolution is Jesmon, who is one of the royal knights and seeing as Alphamon was one of the first royal knights to appear in the first movie, I think he is one of those who wants to find out whats going on. But i also find it curious that hackmon is only looking after meicoomon and not the digidestined. |
| Was Meicoomon not confirmed to be the infection-carrier? If so, then it makes sense why Alphamon and Hackmon are targeting it. Also, Jesmon, according to wiki, is able to detect chaos and unusual phenomena. So his role here as Huckmon "appears" to make sense as it looks like the source of it all is Meicoomon. Alphamon, according to the myths, only appears when the digiworld is in crisis. Implying that its intentions are good. It most likely concluded that Meicoomon was a threat and needed to eliminate it. |

| 4. She (assuming that it is a "she") digivolved? She definately changed form, but it's not as dramatic as most of the digievolutions (for example gabumon to garurumon, or agumon to greymon), she just grew her fur, ear, and claw out a little more. This is the only thing that was confusing to me. Was that really a digievolution or is it something else? I am leaning toward the "something else" side more. 5. From what we saw Ken went after Meicoomon and wanted her for some reason. Probalbly why Alphamon targeted Meicoomon too, but what it could be, I don't know. I have a vague guess and no evidence to back it up: Meicoomon is the origin of the viruses. Just a hunch, nothing to elaborate on except how Meicoomon went berserk. A little more about Ken: we saw that Ken was able to control the distortions so he is at least related to the creator of all the problems, if he is not himself. 6. This is another one that I saw someone talking about. They suggested that the Ken we saw is only a illusion created by Huckmon. And while I don't agree with them, it did get me thinking about the "Ken" we saw. The Ken we saw never spoke a single word or even make a single noise, which is very different from the Digimon Emperor Ken we saw in the season two, who was rather talkative (if I didn't remember wrong.) This could be a different person with the same outfit pretending to be the old Ken or have similar believes or motives. This is all I can conclude about Ken for now but this is definately one of the biggest mysterys so far in this series. Again, what I have so far, more is coming. |

| 7. This one is vague, only guesses. Meicoomon releasing her inner/true form as virus source? Meicoomon digivolved to ultimate with the unknown crest? Or it could be that Meiko unknowingly digivolved Meicoomon to ultimate WITHOUT the crest, just like Taichi did, and thus making Meicoomon go berserk? 8. Like neo_carnage5 said and what I said before, I think Alphamon is going after Meicoomon because of the same reason as why Digimon Emperor went after her. Most likely, Alphamon sensed threat within Meicoomon and was trying to eliminate her, but was stopped by the oblivious Omegamon. This is very similar to another digimon universe (I read from the digimon wiki: http://digimon.wikia.com/wiki/Royal_Knights) where Alphamon, wanting to eliminate danger, was confronted by the oblivious Omegamon and the two went into battle. This also supports and adds a new perspective to Huckmon's intetions. Huckmon, the rookie form of one of the Royal Knights, being confused by the conflict of his fellow Royal Knights, Alphamon and Omegamon, is observing the Digidestined and Meicoomon to get a better understanding of the situation and what is happening. There is a little more left, I'm gonna take a break now and post the rest in a little while. |

| 9. This is one of, if not the biggest mystery in this series. At the beginning we see snapshots of the kids getting knocked down with red background, possibly symbolizing a grave defeat. The question is: defeated by who? At the very first I thought it was Alphamon, but after I thought about it, it doesn't really make sense when I came up with the above theory later. Why would Alphamon go out of his way to defeat the 02 kids when he is targeting Meicoomon? My only guess is the Digimon Emperor, or whoever is working with him. The simplist evidence of this is the appearance of Imperialdramon. Since Imperialdramon is the evolved form of Palidramon, and Palidramon is the Jogress of both Stingmon (Ken's digimon) and ExVeemon (Daisuke's digimon). The Digimon Emperor must have captured Daisuke and the real Ken, if the new Digimon Emperor is not Ken, to make them evolve their digimon and control it. This is all I can think of for now. Any ideas? |
