he is probably one of the most reasonable and real mc's we've ever gotten in romance mangas

breaking it off with guchi was definitely the right call even if it hurt them both, dating a person you don't love will only lead to more heartbreak the longer it continues

Yamaguchi was stalking him from the time he saw his passing score. She interfered with his relationship with Makino by talking to her before she approached the MC. He did not want to date her but Makino practically forced him into it. Her parents have cut her off. The only way for them to survive is to go back to them.
When Makino landed on top he realized that what was obvious all along that he liked Makino not Yamaguchi. I am just glad that a yandere like Yamaguchi did not go school days on him
His middle school friends are just annoying . They ruined his relationship with the girl in middle school and tried to ruin his relationship with both girls.
I don't trust his gay friend. He has his own interest at heart since he loves the main character.
Who knows Makino feels? She can hardly start dating him since Yamaguchi has basically ruined their relationship by being her friend
