Just look at the image for this anime. This is supposed to be a children's shoujo movie, right? Why can't Japan get the hang of CGI? I am filled with so much dread just looking at it. |
Cherry looks like he would eat poor Chieri at any moment. It's horrible CGI coupled with the uncanny valley to the max. |
Woah, thank man; I must see it. |

Here's a comparison of the children's novel cover and the movie poster. |
cgi??? lmao do you even know the difference between cgi and stop-motion |
To be honest I'd love to see this, but according to the official website it's still being shown off at various theaters from time to time. I don't think it has received any sort of home video release. |
Wow, the trailers are rather cute! I really want to see it! And yeah, I don't even understand why someone could speak of "cgi" while it's clearly a stop-motion animation with puppets. |

This was actually a heart rending story. Made for children? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on the culture and its views of life and death. It was pretty well done for a stop motion animation, though nothing like what Aardman Animations puts out but still very good. I have to give credit to the team who worked on this. A ton of time and effort goes into making a stop motion film. |
