There doesn't seem to be a lot of romance anime that avoid these tropes, and/or don't end with heartbreak or tragedy. |

| dont know why people are complaining that the ending is gonna be cliched since the entire show has been pretty cliche. you have main character A who has a good heart but for some reason or another never had a boyfriend/girlfriend. theres main character B whos of the oppisite sex whos the total oppisite of A and yet is able to see all the good that character does and has an eye for character A. the two get together even though one's super popular and the other isnt and B has to show everyone, usually this isnt there intention, why A fell in love with them. its just in this show the roles are reversed from the usaul norm. usaually our main character A is a girl and B is a boy. not that this is a bad thing. the formula may be done to death but it still works for most people. still, it is strange to have this kind of drama after the great moment in the Takeo's birthday episode when after Takeo kissed Yamato, he embraced her and declared to always be good to her, and Yamato while crying tears of happiness declared the same. this ichinose arc was mostly thrown in to cause drama. again, after that kiss its seems kind of pointless to test their relationship now. |
| Lol the new guy is funny (and voiced by Jun Fukuyama im calling that) but as soon as appeared, I'm calling love triangle and yep thats what happened. But the difference is the new guy doesn't like Rinko, its like he needs her to accomplish his dream. And ofc I'm wondering why Takeo only thought of Rinko liking somebody else instead of somebody else liking her. |

| The anime should break Takeo and Yamato up so Takeo gets with Sunakawa's sister and Yamato gets with Ichinose. It would be a great twist but then again this is a shoujo... bleh |

| I'm no guru in genres here. I watched a few animes but not enough to say I'm a veteran so, with that being said here's my opinion on how the finale might go : I can see two ways the road can go here, one being the happy let's keep the train going ending where nothing happens and they just live happily, blah blah blah and the second ending which I highly expect my happen where as someone up here suggested, they might break up and well, find someone else. I noticed somehow that this anime pretty much shows how most relationships go in High School or at least someone's very first relationship. It's all lovey dovey until some lame thing happens and it all falls apart. Now yeah, there are some exceptions which is why I said most relationships, I have a friend who almost married her first boyfriend (well, they did break up but after 5 almost 6 years of relationship and they met when she was 15). Anyways, things have been going way too good in this anime and I don't feel comfortable with that knowing it's anime I watch after all and not a western cartoon where it almost always ends well. |

| 2nd to the last episode of this season and still great but the feeling of this episode is full of inferiority complex! It's nice to hear Fukuyama Jun again! LOL Ichinose went Pinocchio nose mode! Lone wolf Ichinose is tamed by Rinko! Damn Suna's got a very high sense of sensing the line of sight of other people! The slow-motion raindrops falling down was epic! Takeo seeing Yamato inside Ichinose's kuruma is very heart-aching! Ai is right about Takeo, putting others feeling 1st is both his strength and weakness. 5/5. |

| Bleh drama to end it with. I'm not sure which is worse, Takeo's sudden doubts about Yamato's trustworthiness despite completely trusting her the whole show, or Ichinose's ridiculous decision to suddenly call Takeo out (though he did have a point about them being together for the wrong reasons). They had the whole show to develop the MCs' relationship, yet they did nothing; they didn't even develop the characters. And now we get this kind of drama? Meh. |

| .____________. This episode ended off on a surprisingly sad note... I was happy in the previous episode with the way Suna and Yukika had their closure. At first, it felt kind of rushed to have Yamato work in the pastry shop, but thank goodness that flashback came. Takeo gets a pat on the back for being a supportive boyfriend! As usual, Suna is the supportive friend. Loved that he stood by Takeo and visited Yamato together. LOL when Suna followed Ichinose's line of sight... But I do feel sad seeing Takeo feel inferior. :( As a viewer, it was weird for me to hear Takeo call Suna by his first name, LOL!! "Suna" just feels more intimate than "Makoto" .... :P Calling Yamato by her first name would be stepping it up. That story about the dog Takeo loved... </3 I'm glad Ai is back (no Oda??) I liked Ichinose at first since I found him funny, especially his assumptions about Yamato's feelings...but that really was impulsive and immature of him to tell Takeo to break up with her :/ I was upset about that, to be honest. And Takeo ran in the rain for Yamato!! D= I wanted them to meet and walk home together... |

| Some people have brought up the fact that when Rinko tells Ichinose that she wants to buy his cakes, she stops when she's about to say "boyfriend" and then finishes with "the ones I care about". I don't think she was trying to string Ichinose along with that statement because later on she outright admits that Takeo is her boyfriend. I think when she changed her response it's because she was referring to Suna as well. So instead of saying "boy friend and his friend" she said "ones I care about" because she is good friends with Suna as well and she did say she wanted to buy 3 cakes because Suna always eats with her and Takeo. |

| This was a happy and sad episode, the funny parts were awesome and we don't need to worry about Rinko at all since her love is true toward Takeo, anyway, these two scenes made me laugh so hard |

| Not quite as light hearted as other episodes, but the comedy was still on point again haha. Poor Takeo, he gotta love himself more first. Hope he will come out with more confidence after the next episode. |

And yeah, many delicious cakes were presented in this episode. :P @FMmatron , I liked the atmosphere here. It was better in writing than several previous episodes (something more than regular "petty problem appears -> they find an easy solution in the end of the ep -> the end" concept) and more consistent. |
| If Takeo were more emotional, I'm sure Ichinose would have died after saying such arrogant words. Honestly, I didn't really like this episode. The idea of throwing a new relevant character with only two episodes remaining felt really forced and by the way, does this guy even know he wants to date a minor? On the other hand, Takeo being aware of his jealousy was a nice moment but unfortunately, for him to develop an inferiority complex this far in the series felt a bit forced as well. I mean, his bond with Yamato should be deep enough for him not to feel that way at this point in their relationship. Besides, I think it's quite obvious how much Yamato loves him for who he is so this whole "she would be happier with someone else" drama feels even more unnecessary. |
