Why do you watch Bakemonogatari?

I find it different and unique from other animes I've seen.

Whats your reason?

I'm really hooked on the different camera angles, the way the characters talk to each other, and just the overall theme.

Perhaps I don't know why I love it. It has captured my attention and I just want it to turn out awesome.

What caught my attention the most has to be how artistically it is done. Its the 1st one I've watched thats suppose to be artistic that is actually beyond great ^.^ Its like a breathe of fresh air.

Secondly will have to be the characters & their stories. Each one is different yet the same in an unparalleled way. Arargagi brings out Senjougahara & vice versa, they all depend on one another in a way. In the center is Oshino who has helped the 2 main & others then in return Aragagi helps others & ultimately Senjougahara. You seem to get trapped in their whirlpools & dragged to the bottom of it all.

Thirdly has to be the dialogue thats chosen between the characters. Their reactions are priceless.

Why?....
Well first I really like the animation, all the details and the characters expressions, I love it.
And the characters are great; the conversations between Araragi and Senjougahara can go from being serious to hilarious to serious again. xD

Curiosity at first, then I get hook by the narrative and the edition, it is a rare form to present a story...
It is a surrealistic way... perfect for theme.

So true. They way they present the storyline isn't anyway near normal so you prob think it isn't gonna be all that good but once you watch you feel as if you are seeing a brand new way to express animes. Though several others have tried the artistic approach I don't think any of them can even come close to Bakemonogatari.

I believe this is the absolute best anime that has come out in the past few years.

Yea I figured as much that everyone would agree to like the obvious but I enjoy the minor differences that people have expressed. Somethings you don't really think about & others are so small to that you dismis it at times. So to see the small things show some differences ^.^

I loved the dialogue between the characters ;o and the animation quality is also godlike and kinda artistic in a way even I can understand lol.

Also, it's kinda easy to relate to Araragi for some reason. :o

Senjougahara would probably despise being the main reason that so many people watch Bakemonogatari XD I would love to have a stapler fight with her >.<

The storylines are that little bit obscure and the characters are wonderfully flawed and complex - its not a no brainer to watch while at the same time its not taxing to watch its just really fun. Hitagi's character is a joy to watch, you just don't know what she is going to do/say next. The way the story is going reminds me of ergo proxy for some reason, probably because I had no idea where that was leading either...

Also the artwork is gorgeous, the way the artwork flits in and out reminds me of some of the ef artwork which was top notch.

Just a very well put togethr anime!

The story is kinda weird, the sarcasms are lulz, Tsundere heroine, amazing art style, great work with the camera angles and produced by SHAFT. Need I say more? xP

1. Akiyuki Shinbo's directing - While Shinbo can, at times, shift toward the negative end of the artsy directing spectrum (i.e. pointless and bad camera angles, using excessive measures such as switching between art styles to distract from the quality of the show) he is usually very fun to watch. Bakemonogatari has, thus far, been much more on the positive side of things and has had some of the better directing I've seen him do.

2. Character chemistry - The chemistry between the two leads has been impressive to say the least. If most other series would have tried to pull off something like episode three I would have been bored out of my mind, but instead I was constantly engaged by the chatter between Senjougahara and Araragi.

3. Araragi is such an entertaining loser - When the male lead is a complete loser ala a lot of harem anime I'm usually quite put off by the series, but Araragi has a certain je ne sais quoi to him. He is just such a worthless human being that it is hilarious, yet also oddly compelling to watch him.

For me it's probably because it's so unlike any series I've seen before, the way conversation changes in an instant, effecting the whole mood, makes it almost impossible for me not to keep watching.

The art style and characters/interactions, easily. Quite simply it's a beautiful anime with wonderful character designs and interesting character angles. Plus the dialogue is great, especially between Araragi and Hachikuji.

I love the hard-to-follow-but-keeps-you-hooked dialogue, the animation style and the overall bizarreness of the anime. The style is alike Zetsubou Sensei and that appeals to me deeply for it is one of my fav anime (and manga) ever. ^^ I was waiting for this title ever since it was first announced. ^O^

Well, not nuff said. Like the character's interaction (quite refreshing) and the main male lead is totally different from any other character I remember. He is interesting, umpredictable and makes humorous. Also, you can falcon punch him all the way to hell and he doesn't die xD.

The dialogue. Seriously, the interaction between the characters is just superb in every possible way. So far every episode of Bakemonogatari was 10/10. It's really hard to find an anime where every episode is a masterpiece. That's why Bakemonogatari is the only TV series on my list that I rated 10.

Same as OP, its something unique among anime, which in itself is unique, with me having found nothing like it in anything else.

I had very high expectations for this anime when I first heard about it. The first episode sufficed to assure me that even those expectations would be surpassed. The anime is almost perfect for my taste. I really like the random, slideshowlike style of SHAFT but it's not only that. The real strong point of this anime are the dialoges between the characters and that is most uncommon. SHAFT successfully creates the right atmosphere for every dialog builing up tension and reliefing it in a matter that I think is almost perfect.

Definitely the best series of this season, maybe even this year and another great success for SHAFT who never fail to amaze me.

And I love the ending ^^

Was originally rooting for Senjougahara 1 month before Bakemonogatari came out but it turns out that Araragi's mentality is quite similar to Touma's mentality in the Index spinoff(to aru kagaku no choudenjibou), a mentality that seems to attract my interest.
