Who's to blame: Translation Team or Licensing?

So after chapter 22, it seems there are no traces of more translated chapters. I heard rumors about the manga being licensed and consequently having strict control over scans and stuff, but I also see there's a lack of a consistent translating team.

Either way, as a fan, I find it disappointing that I can't read further into the story. But my question is if any of you guys know exactly why Big Order isn't getting any chapters done. Is there a translation team starting back up to translate (give names/descriptions. No links please).

Any info would be much appreciated!

Doing a quick search, I can see that the manga is licensed in german, italian and french but not in english so that means the group scanlating it lost interest or didn't have enough manpower.
Now that this series is getting a TV adaptation, someone might pick it up again or an american publisher might even publish it, who knows.

I'm glad it's getting an adaptation. I really enjoyed the chapters so it would be really cool to see it in action. Thanks for doing the search! I couldn't find much myself.

A 5 second look on mangaupdates shows that the group who did chapter 15-22 [GMscans] is now an inactive group. Vortex scans did chapter 11-15 and last updated a year ago last month.

Vortex still lists it as an Ongoing project but I think they have either lost interest or lack the staff. You'll have to inquire with them if they are still doing it.

I also wouldn't place blame with the scanlation team. They are working on it in their free time and usually coming up with the cash for raws from their own pockets. :)

Yeah, I hear you. It's a job worthy of respect, whether they earn money for it or not.

Yeah, it did... with one of the worst translations I have ever read.

I read Manga in both English and Chinese.
