that doctor is extremely irresponsible to even consider letting him pitch when he knows it'll probably end his career.

and I also don't think his parents should have given in, no matter what he said to them :/

I know it'll never happen but I almost wish he would completely break his foot, then the series could transfer to Shingo, who would hopefully behave in a less reckless and more intelligent manor :/

Man just when I think Goro can't be any more of an idiot, he goes and does this. He just doesn't get it and yeah I wish he would break his foot for good. It won't happen but I wish it would.

Nice reads by Taiga though and damn it Fuji he needs to be punched too.

Its not about not taking risks, its about not taking stupid risks. Best case scenario, they win a relatively unimportant game. Worst case, he's maimed for life, his career is over before it begins and he's unable to live a normal life or hold certain types of jobs. Its simply not worth it.

I hope you guys realize that's the whole point of his series.

if Goro wasn't taking risks, there's not point in watching this series.

He'd be stomping everyone in Kaido right now.

As much as I want to see Goro back on the mound at full power, I notice games are more interesting when he's not involved. The pitcher and catcher are actually working together and using strategy now instead of "hurr I'm a man hurr show down." Also a bit conflicted on which team I want to see win, I don't have anything against Seishu but Komori and the gang really shouldn't get shut out like this.

God! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING GORO?! And Momoko-san is such a... *sigh* Just a few flowering words from Goro, that Momoko-san just simply gave in.

Heh. He just became a baseball missionary, just like what Shimizu said in the S1. This game is not really worth it. If you're aiming for Kaido, then prioritize your body's condition first. Just so you know, it's not a fight of will, if it is then you probably won already. But it's not, you have to fight with your body. Get yourself together Goro! Isn't taking care of your body the first thing you learned from Taizo-san back in Kaido?! Did you just forget it?!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'M ANGRY! >_<

Would agree with you being angry of Goro NEVER learning a lesson. First with the whole "I am my own team!" mentality and then followed up with the now "Screw my future, I'm gonna beat this team!" thought process he quickly fell back on despite already having heard the sad fate of that one coach's brother as well as the result of his own right shoulder.

Anyways, I don't see how they plan to win against Kaidou with him injured like that, too bad this is his first and last tournament as a high schooler.

I hope Gorou loses his leg completely. This is so annoying, I'll be really pissed off if they win this match against Mifune. It's unbelievable, illogical!

I GOT REALLY SICK OF GOROU'S MIRACULOUS VICTORIES.

I know that. I just do not see the point of watching a series you don't even like. Why waste your time? It is not even entertaining to you.

Some will say that it is not even realistic. Like duh it's fiction you know. What's the point of making an anime then? Even western cartoons isn't even realistic. Just watch a real baseball then.

Oh, my bad. I am the one who doesn't make any sense here. All of your rants here entertains me. So just continue doing it and ignore me.

Why should I have dropped it? There is no anime I have ever dropped, it's not my habit. I just put them on my on-hold list to continue later. I never skip any episodes or seasons either. I can't accurately judge any show until I've seen all of it.

Everything was going really well, I didn't have any problems with the realism of the series until then and this season's start was also good but it went down after some time, I almost thought that "This season must have been written by someone else." Hey, I'm free to write how I feel about the show, right? And now I'm so glad that I kept watching, the next two seasons are a lot better than this. It's a good thing that I never drop any anime.

That was a nice fly ball at the end. But extremely cocky from Taiga xD
I'm surprised that Komori didn't understood that he wouldn't go for a ball, since he rejected the catcher pitch choice. Komori didn't guessed right Taiga character.

I'm disappointed that Goro want to take part of the game. I mean, from the preview, it doesn't look like he have a choice, but he should know that he will probably regret it in a few days.

At this point.

I really hope that Komori's team win and Goro overdoes himself and loses his career because of what he keeps on doing.

....

Still I am rather sure that this won't happen even if only because there are three other seasons coming after this one... sigh.

At this point I need to take break from this anime though, to build up my resistance before coming back.

One thing to mention before that though. In this game Komori was behaving kind of like Toshi, not talking back to Goro, or doing GOOD PLAYs, with letting the catcher with four balls. I remember Toshi doing kind of similiar things but while Toshi was annoying me to no end, here I want to root for Komori to win. His team should win and I am buying the happy story of team working hard together for three years winning in the end the whole tournament rather than a gathering of newbies who just started with overpowered pitcher that have an injury. Actually even if Goro was 100% I would still think that the other team should win.

I'm amazed that he actually found a doctor that will let him play, even if there are only 30 pitches.
This game is going to be a very close one.

There are probably two options: Taiga does a good job and keeps Goro from having to play, or worst case, Goro plays and obviously hits the 30s and hurts his leg again. I would really love if he didn't have to pitch.

And lol he was hilarious when he was looking for a different clinic just to get an approval. Probably went to the shadiest. When that doctor said he could play for a while I almost busted out laughing.

Wow. The negativity here is way too much. I know people are frustrated with Gorou and like Komori and co., but hoping he would break his foot permanently in this situation is spiteful and petty-- as bad as Taiga was tbh.

I don't care how many doctors he had to go to to find one that would work with him. That doctor could lose his job if he told Gorou he would be okay when he wouldn't be. Since the doctor gave very specific and strict conditions, I see absolutely no problem in taking his word for it. He's injected the freezing and told Gorou to absolutely not go beyond 30 pitches (three innings max). If Gorou goes beyond those 30 pitches, fine, let him permanently injure his foot or call out the anime for being unbelievable. If he doesn't, though, then this negativity is completely unwarranted.

Seriously, this pettiness in the fanbase is nearly as bad as everyone getting mad that Shigeno married and had kids with Momoka. Sheesh.

The people in this thread aside, I'm looking forward to this game. Although I like Komori and co. and wouldn't like to see them lose, I'm hoping Taiga can hold them down well enough to make this game managable. I don't think Seishuu could make a big comeback against Mifune like they did in the first game.

Yeah, the negativity is pretty amusing.. I do understand it, but the vitriol behind it shows it is touching some personal buttons. Goro is a lunatic, and he does need to have proper coaching to look after him.. but that is how someone becomes more than good, but great.. taking damn risks. That is what is pissing people off on this thread: they want to take risks too, but just don't do it. Goro has shown the capacity to learn and he more than likely will in this situation.

Anyway.. what a total dick Komori was. I do understand competitiveness and getting any edge you can, but show some damn respect. At least save it for the game and don't give Goro the cold shoulder before the game. It was tremendous when Goro let Komori know that it was just as rude of him to record his last game than him visiting the bullpen to say hello.

from some reason it's good to see goro not think only about himself, ending up influencing taiga.
and again the anime have sort of thing to make you cheer even for the rival team, i like komori and all but i prefer seeing all goro's work weren't for nothing.
and as said komori could have been more friendly toward goro, without goro he wouldn't be that good, hell, he even won't play baseball.

Feels like a big mistake to allow Goro to get the freeze injection especially at his young age.

I'm kinda rooting for Komori's team as they've been training hard and take this match serious by showing zero openings and not even underestimating Seishu players.

Wow, people here really hate Goro xD

I want Komori to win, though. They have give it their all more time that this team of novices. I would like they win and fight well against Kaido (even if they lose, at least lose in a good match)
