| Alex was hanging on for dear life, her aim had been to stab it in the eye, but Violet had taken care of that. "stop moving, let us past and we'll leave you alone" she shouted into its ear, hoping it would see reason |
| Violet "You alright up there?" Violet asked looking at Alex hanging on. "Think it'll reason with her?" She asked hearing Alex's offer |
| Itami No, last time we chopped off the tip of his finger and he started running away crying, he says. Watching the cyclops, which now began to cry and start running in no particular direction. Itami looped a shadow lasso around Alex and brought her back down from the back of the monster. It disappeared into the trees and Itami sighed, Wonder if he'll be back next year... |
| Violet "Is he seriously here every year?" She asked watching him run off. "Does he just want to eat you that badly?" She turned looking around again making sure the coast was clear. |
| "Pathetic" alex muttered under her breath, lading crouched slightly following the way he left with her gaze |
| Violet "Anyone else that attacks you every year that we should know about as we continue?" She commented. |
| Itami Umm, a couple demigod bandits tend to hang around here a lot. He says with uncertainty. [b]They're a bit tough, twins of Zeus if I remember correctly. |
| Violet "A set of twins, how fun. What is it with Zeus and twins?" She asked as she waited for them to start moving forward again. |
| "Twins huh..?" alex mumbled under her breath, she still didnt know how she felt about her twin |
| Itami Yeah, I found them quite obnoxious the last time I was here. They kept calling me masky head. He says, getting a little indignant at the memory. |
| Violet "Well lets get going then, before they magically appear." She turned on her heels in the direction they were headed earlier. "I don't feel like dealing with them if they are rather annoying." |
| Alex nodded, following Violet frowning slightly, would the twins be identical? |
| Itami They're big fans of death metal, so hopefully they're at a concert... he says, hiking up through the forest. |
| Violet "If they aren't here that be one less problem that pops out. So how far do we need to go to get there?" |
| Itami About an hour or two, Itami says, scratching his hand. Suddenly a deep hollering could be heard. Gods dammit, Itami says. |
| Violet "What is it this time?" She asked hearing the hollering but didn't stop moving forward as she looked around |
| Itami It's them, they watched Tarzan once and were obsessed with it apparently... He mumbles as two kids around the age of 10 came bursting out of the trees, swinging on vines. They landed on a thick branch and looked down with triumph at the three. So we meet again masky face? One of them asks rhetorically, the other one, who looked exactly the same laughs evilly. Today will be the day you die masky face! Itami sighs and looks up at them. Go away. |
| Alex had watched them perch on the trees like baboons. She wasn't imoressed yet she kept quiet. If she spoke she'd surely get out on the spotlight, plus, her mental was not her forte right now since she was slightly rattled at them also being identical; too many memories were trying to invade get thoughts -both pleasant and unpleasant- |
| Violet "So this is them. They seem like fun." she said sarcastically looking at the two of them. "Why does everyone want you to die in the first place? This is the third time now, What did you do?" |
| Itami Itami shrugged, I don't know, everyone just wants to kill me apparently. One of the twins laughs at his statement, You look stupid! That's why people want to kill you! The other one nods his head in agreement, They don't look stupid though, so we'll let them go. He says, pointing at Alex and Violet. The other twin looks at him, Oi! Don't go making decisions for me! Maybe I want to kill them as well! The twin he spoke to scoffs, I'm the older one James, you don't have any say! Itami sighs as they begin to bicker. One of the twins puts his hand up, Anyway, be quiet now. We have to deal with our newest prey! He says, the wind picks up as he says this. |
| Violet "Here we go again with this whole thing." She said as she stared at the two of them sensing the wind picking up. "Guess i'm about to find out what they are capable of." She sighed |
| Itami He ripped more darkness out of his mask, taking it through the channels in his body and gathering it in his hand, quite a lot this time. They're actually quite powerful... He mutters with disdain. He readies himself, I suggest you get ready. He adds as one of the twins diverts the wind around himself, he chuckles in a childish voice as he begins to rise from the branch. Flying. A whirlwind supports him as he looks down on them. The other one raises his hands up and a lighting strike hits them, electricity courses all around him, his hair raising up on end. The smell of ozone evident in the air and the lightning crackles in his hands. |
| Violet "Okay let's see what they can do then." She said before whistling. A couple of wolves came out of the woods next to her in a matter of moments. She started to glow in a dim light as she disappeared and a third wolf took her place. Taking the form of a wolf her fur was a white, like the color of her hair and her eyes kept the same pale icy blue tone she stood in a ready stance along with the two she had called, ready to get things over with. |
| Alex hung back this time, identical twins, it just brought up too many memories, she couldnt focus on anything else but her own, never mind her technique; Arthurs smile, Arthurs way of eating, Arthur's gestures, it all just went on and on and on and on. Why was she even remembering this stuff? The small insignificant fights they had all had, the laughs -which on her part at least had been genuine.. yet him.. Arthur... she wasnt so sure any more |
| Itami I'll take the lightning boy, you take the wind one. Alex, just hang back for now. He says, not noticing her situation. He jumps forward, using the darkness as hooks in the trees to slash his way up into the sky. When he becomes level with the lightning twin, he unleashes a wave of the darkness at him. Lightning boy jumps, springs off the tree trunk and shoots a spark of lightning at Itami. Which Itami deflected with a hurl of darkness. |
| Violet Moving towards the twin with the wind she in circled it with the other wolves. Watching each others movements they waited for a moment where one had the advantage to attack. One going in for the attack, Violet followed for a quick double trying to catch the twin off guard and avoiding the wind around. |
| Itami The boy boosted himself up and over Violet before sending a whirlwind at her, trying to buffet her away. He then sends a small tornado-like dart of wind at the wolf. Itami jumps to a tree, hooks himself in and then springs away, sending another shadow hurling at the lightning boy. Lightning boy, sprints forward to avoid the shadow and when Itami is still in the air, shoots a bolt of lightning at him. As Itami was in the air, and the bolt was extremely fast, it caught Itami in the shoulder and sent him spinning away into the brush. |
| Violet Trying to hold some ground she flew back several yards before charging straight back at the twin snarling a bit. The other two wolves maneuver around to attack at the same time from three different sides. |
| Itami The lightning twin, now freed of fighting Itami, went to attack Alex. Lightning charging in his hands. The wind twin sent a burst of air into the ground, sending dirt flying everywhere and blinding the wolves, Violet and himself. He then sent a whirlwind in the general direction of one of the wolves. |
| Alex saw the lightning twin come for her, only just having raised her arms, not having enough time to get get her saber out to block it using that, also the metal was a good conductor of electricity, yet with all the memories resurfacing, shed forgotten the one important fact. Her body was a better conductor than metal. |
| Violet Not being able to see, she used her sense of hearing instead she moved towards the sound of the wind pushing the wolf out of the way and taking the hit instead. As the dirt cleared a bit she was over near a patch of bushes slowly getting back up growling at some of the pain she felt till she finally stood back up. |
| Itami He got up and stumbled out of the brush to see the lightning twin about to attack Alex. He quickly lashes a whip of darkness around her and yanks her back towards him. He catches her and puts her down, the lightning bolt slammed into the ground where she had just been. He then shoots a shard of darkness at the twin, it lodges in the boy's shoulder and he screams, falling unconscious to the ground. The wind twin begins to form a huricane, hoping to blow Violet and the wolves away. But he hears his brother scream and he spins around, seeing his brother on the ground, he glares at Itami. However, this left his back open for Violet to attack. |
| Violet Stumbling on her first few steps she rushed towards the twin still standing and lunged at him pinning him down on his back. She growled at him snarling making sure her teeth were visible for him to see as a threat. |
| Alex was mut when she was manhandled out of the way of the incoming strike, silently cussing. The twins face, it had looked just like Arthur's had, she had been paralyzed not even able to strike back or dodge at least. Instead she had depended on him and nearly got herself killed in the process. Human conducted electricity better than metal after all. She had been stupid to forget. As she sat there, she could only watch violet finish her attacks with her eyes, seeing her own face -which was 100% identical to Arthur's either way, so it could have been either one's- turn his back to Violet, to stare at the other half. Just like she would have done, leaving his back open. stop drawing comparisons she chided herself mentally, mentally kicking herself |
| Itami The boy grumbles but doesn't move. Itami brushes himself off, Tie him up or knock him out, your choice. Itami says to Violet. |
| Violet Keeping the twin pinned down she shifted back in a matter of seconds back to what she had looked before. Then pressing on certain pressure point to make him pass out she checked to make sure he was complete out before she stood up. |
| Itami He nods, good work. We'll just leave them here then, hey won't bother us again. He says, gesturing to Alex to get up. That should be it for surprises, the entrance to Mount Olympus isn't too far. |
| Violet "Good, I think i'm done with the surprises for today." She said as she pet the wolves before they ran off. She took a few staggering steps in the direction they were heading before. "Shall we get going then?" |
| Itami If you're okay. You aren't hurt are you? He asks, his hand reaching out to steady her. |
| Violet "Yea, shifting is just a bit disorienting considering you change your form completely." She replied as she she used his hand for balance. |
| Itami I would imagine. That's quite an interesting power, useful as well. He says while keeping her steady, You alright as well? He calls back to Alex in question. |
| Violet "I guess it can be helpful. I just wish I could get use to changing forms so this won't happen afterwards" Standing straight she felt a little better after a short while. |
| Itami He lets her go, You alright to walk then? He asks. |
| Violet "Yea, I'll be fine. Is Alex okay?" She looked up and around for a moment as she took a few steps looking better than before. |

| "Im fine, I zoned out, it won't happen again" she reassured already standing up and brushing herself off, "How much longer until we get there?" |
| Itami We're pretty close, he says. The healing process was beginning, he could feel the twinges of pain as his organs and such started to repair. He grimaced but that was it, he hadn't used as much darkness as he had on the plane, so it shouldn't be too bad. |
| Violet "Guess we should get going then before something else happens." she looked at the others waiting for them to be ready to go |
| Itami Kay, let's go then, he says before starting to walk. He limped a little as the pain of the healing process got a little worse. He turned his head and spat out some blood before grunting a little as a bone snapped back into place. |
| Violet She walked next to Itami. "You okay? You're not looking to good" She looked at the blood he spat out as she walked by. |
