| So I wanted to start reading/watching Shigatsu and I wanted to know whether to watch the manga or the anime adaptation. |

| Where is the “both” option, because both are great. In the anime version you’re able to actual listen to the music and see the performance of the characters, which, in my opinion, it’s a big plus in any music based series, especially if done right. Honestly, anime versions of series based in music are usually more enjoyable than their manga counterparts for reasons stated above, but only if they don’t mess with the source content, of course. Anyway, I’d say, if you’re really interested, check out both of them. |

| I would say do neither to spare yourself from this torture. From what I've heard, the anime adapts manga very accurately, and it's done really well (nice animation, music, and all that) so I don't think there is any point in reading the manga. |
