"Well, yes, it is a very difficult task. However, it's good to have hope in the team. Fools are usually the ones who make the impossible." Saying that, he smiled slightly before someone contacted him through the phone on his desk. It was a woman, informing Angus that there was someone who wanted to meet him. "Tell him to come down to my room." He told the lady, who looked towards the elevator and informed him of the underground floor office in Floor "-7".

"The good thing about Hadrien is that he is willing to do anything, just like his father, to reach his dreams. Han is much like you as well. She's simply bored and wants a challenge. You'll understand if you see her fight against someone." With that, he leaned forward again and laid his elbows on the table, using his hands to support his chin. "There's a specific reason why I chose them. It's not just faith, Kazuko." With that, he awaited for James.

While that, in the room with the machines, Han heard everything and carefully analysed her surroundings, all with a smile on her face. She was impressed with all the machinery and all the technology, but it didn't even compare to the ones she saw in the cities.

She heard Kanzaki introduce himself and then she made a soft bow in response. "My name's Li Han. You can call me just Han." She told him, smiling gleefully right after. She then heard Sylvia's remark about her and Hadrien. "I don't know about Hadrien, but I can destroy anyone who gets in my way with little trouble. Angus chose me because I wanted him to chose me, I wasn't picked out of luck. Also, I'm sure that there's also a reason why he chose Hadrien to join." With that, she looked towards him and smirked slightly. "Well... I'm not so sure, but who am I to discuss with a scientist?" She joked, giggling lightly before turning back to the two.

The room was filled with a lot of desks and computers. All the technology looked very pre-EMP era and if it was anything like the stories, they were probably extremely powerful. As Han and the doctors walked and talked I saw a cube puzzle lying on an empty desk. I grabbed it and started to put it together. Within a few seconds it was done. i overheard Han's comment and I started to change the puzzle again until one of every color was on a face side then I put it back

"Do you have a plan doctor? I doubt you just needed the brains and brawn of two kids to change the world from what it is? So what are we going to do?"
I put the cube on a different desk and caught up with the group

Meanwhile on the outside Ginzo uses a listening device to evesdrop on what the woman was saying. Singling two of his students, the start to cause a bit of trickery to tease and taunt what few sentries were on hand, as well as kill some minor subsystems, gaining the receptionists annoyance. Overall it was a minor disruption in the internal Phone and plumbing services, were on hand staff could deal with the issue..largely unnoticed and ignored staff.

Ginzo quitly infiltrates via the front door. Working his way to a maintance room during James ride down, the oldman makes his was down the service lift after borrowing a pair of coveralls and a toold belt..his next goal would be to observe James entry into the room quitely then see what options he had of getting in close..so far the place was remarkable to some degree, which only furtherd to enhance the old mans desire to finish this mission.

"Is that willing to do anything mentality something I should look at as praise-worthy or treat with caution?" Kazuko inquired with a raised brow before sighing, slightly shaking her head at that, but only for a moment. It wasn't necessarily that Kazuko was doing this as she wanted a challenge... more that she secretly hoped she could get some power and participate in some violence herself... Of course, this wasn't at all obvious and it looked as though she were shaking her head simply as Hadrien's supposed mentality could be interpreted as good or bad.

"I'd hope that was not the reason... Moving on, there is still one who has yet to arrive?"

"Yeah, so did I... There's still stuff like that outside the bubbles, way more high-end too, but... well... It's not gonna' work for obvious reasons," Kanzaki stated before chuckling at Sylvia's inquiry to why there was so many younger people. "Well, these two, I can't say. Angus sees something in'em... Smart enough old man, so if he thinks they can do their part, I ain't gonna' argue with'im. Me on the other hand... my mom contributed a lot to this project an' even the tech before the blasts started... So, after taking her place, I pretty much got first dibs," He said with a bit of a smirk. "Don't get me wrong though... I put in a lotta' work around here and can dish out about as much as I can take... which is a lot."

Onto the other two, or rather the girl, Kanzaki almost deadpanned at her statement about... destroying anyone in her way. However, it quickly turned into a bit of laughter on his part. "You're a scrappy one, I'm guessin'? We'll get along just fine, Han.

Then there was Hadrien's inquiries. Shoving his hands into his pockets, Kanzaki shrugged a bit. "Angus told me that he'd wanna do the honors of explaining everything... but, I will tell ya' that if yer wanting to kick some ass, it'll probably involve a bit of that," Grinning at that, another member of the development team scurried over to Kanzaki and seemed to start talking to him about... whatever was so important in the packet of papers the woman was holding, though he still multi-tasked and answered Hadrien's other question. "Like I said, Angus'll explain everything... But, well... I'd be worried if the fate of tha' world was left in two kids. No offense to you. I'm sure you can pull your weight but... well... Those odds just don't seem to pretty, ya' know? That's why Angus got about... what, six including me? ...Actually, those odds aren't too pretty either..."

As the door of the elevator opened James was greeted by Angus's office. Sitting at a table was the man himself talking to a girl possibly a year younger than James, behind them was a long corridor leading to an unknown doorway. Walking into the room he slowly looked around as he made his way to the desk. Stopping a few feet away he focused on Angus before saying "You wanted to see me."

Angus quietly looked at Kazuko as she didn't seem very pleased with his insight. "That's why I have six people in the group instead of just him." Saying that, he chuckled. However, before he was able to continue the conversation with her, the sound of the elevator opened sounded through the office room. Followed by the sound of the doors opening.

Angus looked towards it to see James walking out and stating the obvious. He smiled, as usual. "Hey, James! It's good to see you again. We haven't seen each other since you started to live with Ginzo. How've you been? Sit down." He said. Whether or not he sat down or not, Angus quickly continued.

"Well, there's a reason for me wanting you here, James. It's extremely important and that's the reason why I'll go straight to business." With that, he once again leaned back on his chair. "I'm making a team and you're part of the possible recruits, James. I can't tell you what we're going to do unless you agree to join, but I'll tell you this: It's about taking back our world and all the tech we lost all those years ago." Saying that, he awaited for some sort of predictable reaction. It was pretty easy to read James, even though he was so quiet. However, James' wasn't Angus' worries. His worries lied in Ginzo's probable reaction to the plan, seeing as the man hated everything relating to technology.

Han chuckled lightly as she heard what Hadrien had to say. "You have brains, but that's not going to save you all the times, Hadrien. Sometimes it's easier to trust in your power." She said that, smirking lightly. However, before she let anything show out, she quickly resumed a calm smile.

Looking towards Kanzaki, she speaks again. "We'll see about that." She said, chuckling lightly again. "Anyways, I understand your curiosity, Hadrien, but we obviously must wait until Angus finish his business with the other recruits. Until then, we better just stay here and see what else we can discover." Han says before she looks around again. "So, where did all this come from? Was it here before the EMP blasts even started?" She asked to Kanzaki as she analysed what it did.

Remaining standing James listened to what the man had to say. So far he wasn't interested except for the technology. Shifting his gaze to the wrench he thought the man looked familiar. "That's sounds interesting and all but I'm not joining if I don't know what I'm doing. I'm not a fan of suicide." he said blatantly as he returned his gaze toward Angus. Thinking about the farm his mind wandered to what needed fixing in order for the harvest to go smoothly.

Kazuko simply sighed at his response, then looking to the boy that entered. He seemed quite mature and tall yet... he looked incredibly young, younger than her even. She partly wondered if he was actually as young as his face looked, but simply acted older... Whoever he was, he certainly didn't seem so keen in joining something he didn't know much about. Kazuko likely would have been the same way had she something better to do or didn't view most other things as pointless.

"Yeah, feel free to look around... just don't screw with anything... we already have enough people doing that with the newbies around here," Kanzaki said with a light chuckle before momentarily turning his attention to the woman, replying to her about... whatever... then having the woman continue on with her work. "Constructed, designed, brought in and repaired. Some are from the outside world, others were made here in this damned bubble," He told Han. "Least that's what I've been told. When I got here, most of what they had was what they needed, so it's not like it was necessary to keep bringing in more machines. My mom was workin' here when they were doing a lot of the construction, designing and repairing."

Angus leaned back on his chair and then he heard what James had to say. He expected the boy to be reluctant. It was clearly influence of the old man. Or maybe he was just being cautious. It was to be expected. "Alright. You don't need to join now, James, I understand. I hope you too understand my need for discretion." He says as he joins his hands. "However, I can assure you a few things. First off, the mission isn't suicidal. I have planned it for years, if anything goes wrong you can be more than sure that not even a single member of this crew is going to die during it." He said, again smiling thinly. "And second... It's going to make a difference." This time, his tone was strangely very serious. "I'd bet my life on this Project." With that, he leaned back forward and supported his elbows with the table.

"However, if you're still inclined to deny, I'll understand. Just don't forget you're a potential recruit. If you ever change your mind, you can always come back." With that, he turned his attention towards Kazuko with a slightly more serious expression."For now, let us return." Saying that, he got up and prepared to make his way through the corridor.

"There are people here who shouldn't be listening to this conversation." Although Ginzo hadn't noticed himself, Angus had already noticed his presence a long time ago. He expected something like that from the old man, yet he didn't want to believe it was true. After hearing the "conversation" between him and the cat, he wondered what kind of other skills the old man possessed. Still, this was none of his business.

Listening to Angus it seemed less like a wild idea for victory but James still wasn't convinced. The man's thin smile and words of confidence were just that confidence, there may be something for it or it may be just determination. Giving a brief nod in understanding he turned his gaze toward the girl Angus was talking with. She had been staring at him since he entered, returning the stare he looked her in the eye till Angus drew her attention away. Standing up the two proceeded to the corridor behind them which had been filled with random chatter. Turning toward the man who dropped the wrench James picked up the tool and handed it to him muttering "You're getting rusty."

Left standing there he thought about going back home but wasn't sure if he'd be able to. Angus seemed like the secretive type, it was odd to tell of his mission and just to let him go freely. There was also the technology, what era was it and how much. As he watched the two walk farther down the corridor James sighed and proceeded to follow them. Unsure of what the man had in mind, as long as it wasn't suicide it couldn't hurt James thought.

Having carried out his infiltration, getting into the meeting room was a pain, it was easier to gain entrance into what he assumed was the labs.

Having snuck past the inner layer of Security, Ginzo assumes the guize of a Maintance worker, taking down a accease panle, and crawling his way through with the wrench, tightning or loosening pipes as he went, or at least mocking the apperance of so, he emerges into the meeting room, wiping his head with a rag to cover himself with oil, and subtle changing his voice. He drops his wrench at the first part of the plan being told. With a bit of a raspier tone he laughs lightly. " Ah sorry sir, the leaks were traced to here..the whole system is going crazy."

As James hands him his tool, Ginzo tilits his head slightly whispering. "Heh..that is true." Now back at a normal tone. "Very sorry sir, I was never here, ahaha.."

This time going back into the piping duct, he makes his way out, and heads for the scientist locker-room.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Borrowing a lab coat, Ginzo proceads to wash the oil from his face, and into his beard, darkening it to a deep grey, making him look several years younger, to compleat the look, he grabs a pair of glasses, and snatches a clipboard from a desk on his way towards the labs. After a bit of back and forth with the Security guard, Ginzo gains his way inside. Noticing several others on hand, most of the Science staff seemed to have elsewhere to be, and it was by sheer luck..or observation, that Ginzo looked just like one of the men who was on leave..he would likely have only a few momments to listen to what this was all about.
However he takes note of Sylvia whom smiles lightly at his deception, but didn't say a single word..an ally? He wasn't sure, but he had to find out what Angus had in mind, Ginzo now considerd this a duty. And Sylvia was content to see what the old man had, or could learn, it seemed.
When James returned her stare, her eyes narrowed a bit. Out of the ones she had met so far, this young man was by far the most mature or at least perceptive of them. He wasn't just going to accept something he knew nothing about so easily... though she could still tell his curiosity would likely get the better of him anyway. As Angus dragged her attention away from James, Kazuko simply nodded, stood up and followed behind him. As she followed, she gave her analysis of James whilst the young man was still contemplating his decision. "He's more of a realist... or rather, tactical. He's not going to do something disadvantageous or crazy for no reason... Someone who thinks before they actually act."
Angus looked back before making his way through the hallways only to see James following him. He chuckled lightly before he closed the door behind them and then started to lead the way to the lab.
"Indeed, he is. However, I can also see that he too probably wants to make a better place." He mused as he ended up in the lab, opening the door and then closing it behind them, he then looked at the group, now reunited and complete. "So, it seems like everyone's here..." He mused to himself before he then smiled. "I guess we can talk about what we're going to do with all these machines and what we are going to do..." With that, Angus walked forward and past the small group, motioning with his hand for them to follow him. He knew the old man was here somewhere, but he didn't care. Perhaps it would be good for him to know as well.
As Angus walked, he started to speak about the current situation. "About three years ago, I started to make a research about possible locations for new domes and if we could find a way to build without having to worry about our tech frying every time a wave of EM energy passed by." As he said that, he stopped by and looked at a screen that was on the group's left. It showed data about the possible locations for new domes. There were only about three or four places marked on the map. "The research was quite successful and there was even a location that was very near to us, down to the South near the Amazon River's flow." He pointed to the nearest location. "Of course, in order to be sure that my expectancy was correct, I had to go there. I had to make sure that the place was a valid location." With that, he continued to walk. As he did so, the group would notice on the end of the lab a small room that looked like a meeting room. "And so I did. I traveled, on foot, to the South American large river, avoiding the cities and looking at nature every time I could. What I discovered, however, was far more surprising than anything so far." With that, he opened the room for the group and motioned for them to go in.
Soon after they did, they would see pictures of a desolate city, with it's atmosphere in a mist of black and green. The same picture was repeated on a board with different forms of effects applied to it. "During our attacks, the AI launched multiple radioactive bombs that allowed it's machines to stay active while we couldn't even get near them. However, it's been five years since the last attack... And the effects of these attacks have been this." He pointed to the mist in the picture. "This is a very toxic form of gas mixed with radioactive elements. For the machines, it's nothing. However, for us it's completely deadly." He walked to the end of the table after he had shown them the pictures and then he sat down on a chair. "That would be completely harmless, though... Had it not started expanding. The atmosphere is slowly becoming more toxic and, during the last attacks, EMP's weren't the only thing people had to worry about. The temperature near cities has been growing exponentially, to the point where everything in there literally melts. As if that wasn't enough, solar radioactivity has been breaching the outer layers of the atmosphere. In about 20 years or less, we're all going to fry to death." With that, Angus stopped for a brief second, sighing before continuing. "Unless we get back our technology." With that, he gets up and the screen behind him shows the picture of the design of some kind of massive building. "And build this." With that, he stops. "Before I continue, are there any questions?" He asks.
I raised my hand out of the group
"From what we can see, the EMP's have created a global catastrophe before but now we have chemcials to deal with... And if I guess right, the toxins are spreading through the air and water flow. How long do we have before we succumb to a similar fate to these pictures?"
The pictures were horrifying but it reiterated that we didn't have a lot of time since toxins such as these can travel a various amount of ways
Catching up to them James was soon greeted by a group of kids that seemed around his age and an older looking woman. Looking them over he soon lost interest as he focused on the rooms technology and it's users. Lining the walls on tables and shelves were many things he recognized but dotting places in between were things he didn't. The most amazing part was that it was all operational and being used. This was quite the polar opposite to the graveyard he was accustom to. Mainly ignoring Angus's speech about outside the dome he kept his eyes roaming the rooms as they progressed further into the compound. When stopped for questions he looking around for the most interesting new piece of tech that wasn't being used, walked over to it and raised it above his head asking "Mind if I take a look?"
Sylvia asks the most simple and to the point question anyone in the room could have, and were likely wondering. "The hells that buildi'n do? And hows we gonna take back our Tech? I mean I'm a perfect example of how the last attempt went." She says moving her hair up enough to show the radiation burns all over her neck, that likely went down to her back. "..I've been burned by radiation once...though I can't say I agree with getting all that shit back..well..its not a nice way to lay dyi'n Sir.."
Watching the events unfold, the other Scientist just simple goes about his work, or rather Ginzo, not having a fucking clue what a scientist even does here, simply takes his clip board recording numbers down, as the other scientists and lab techs in the room seem to be doing. While he hated it, the man Angus, was likely right..but Ginzo had to hear more, before he decided what to do.
Angus saw that people had multiple questions. The first to ask was Hadrien, a smart question. "I can't tell you with precision, but I believe we may have less than 20 years. If the spread goes faster than it already is, then we'll have toxic rivers flowing near the dome in less than 6 years." He said. He had made many calculations before and none of them showed a need for desperate movement. However, upon noticing the growing speed of the spread, he decided to make something.
Then there was James, the boy who had simply been watching the meeting the entire time without saying anything or even caring about his conversation. He was so entranced by the technology around him that he likely ignored everything Angus said. Angus sighed before he continued... "Yes, you can, James..."
He then turned to Sylvia, who made two very interesting questions that allowed him to continue his explanation. "This is a project I made two years ago. It is called the The Purifier. Using the technology we had developed before the Overseer Network, we can build a tower that will spread purifying chemicals in the air. These will help dissipate the radioactivity and reconstruct the atmosphere. It's construction will take 5 years in the least, however, which is why we need to do something now." With that, he turned around and then looked at it again. The second question Sylvia had made related to their mission.
"This is where you come in. I have selected a group based on their physical abilities, their intelligence and, some, over their genetic disposition. You're what I came up with." With that, he clicked again and the screen changed to the Deep Sleep Beds and the VR Interfaces. "We can only get back our technology by attacking the AI in her own territory. It is dangerous, yes, though not deadly. We can reactivate all the technology destroyed by the EMP blasts simply by reducing the power of the next EMP blast. The result will be a blast powerful enough to reactivate all the technology since everything is run with electricity." With that, he paused. "But to do that... We must either deactivate the AI or reason with it."
Happy to be given permission James slightly smiled before rejoining the group. Going to the side so he could still view the images he plopped himself on the floor cross legged. Looking over the device front and back he reached into his tools and brought out the necessary ones to take it apart. He found this the best way to learn how something worked. Starting with the back panel he soon was staring at the circuits, wires, and inner workings of it. Listening to Angus continue he curiously stared at it trying to discern each parts function.
Pausing for a bit Sylvia nods as if in thought. "Well we don't have the manpower to do more than a spcial assault..and its do or die time..Well I aint given to dyin without a fight, that bitch tried to kill me once. I'm up to seeing her again..Do we have any intell on the other side?..I'm just Infantry, other than that we have nerds..no offense kiddo's. Ain't none of us e're exactly able to deal wit intell or black op shit yah know?"
Ginzo sighs at that walking towards the group and setting his clipboard aside, he decides to give Angus a helping hand..all human life was at stake..remembering his dying wife he sighs. "I can help with that Easily..I have more knowladge and on hands dealing with that, than all of you combined, though I am old. My spirit is strong. Though this old mans rumblings asks you to consider what you keep from hell." Sylvia in reply stares at him.
"Old man? Stealth...da hell are you?" At that, the other scientists that Ginzo was disguized as enters the room and locks eyes with him. "My coat!...an..and me..I..ugh.." Shaking his head the real scientist takes his coat back and leaves the room in a hurry wanting no part with whatever this all was about.
Chuckling Ginzo walks to one of the tables, grabbing a bottle of water. Standing over a trashcan, he washes the oil out, showing his almost fully white beard. Seeing Sylvia he breaks out into a grin. "Oppa...I uh but yes..I am the 7th Grand Master of the Shinohi corps of the former Imperial Japanese Army..now I am a farmer who trains opperatives for the other domes. I have my reasons to hate your machines, boy. But..I have those I wish to live on. And an old mans death if needed, is a small price to pay."
Scowling a bit, Kazuko kept to the side of the group of people... as well as making sure no passing scientist bumped into her either. Being grouped together was not something she enjoyed. She hated crowds because that meant physical contact... If that wasn't enough... the same perverted old man popped up somehow. Narrowing her eyes a bit at him, Kazuko was clearly unhappy with his presence. At his ramblings... or at least how he was going to start his ramblings... she retorted a bit harshly. "I do not care should you ramble about nonsense... but I demand you leave your vulgarities outside." Say what you want, the old man was definitely going to say Oppai.
"Yeah... 'bout that Angus... Any idea how we're gonna deactivate it or reason with it? Though I doubt it'll stop if we walk up to it and ask: Hey, could you like, you know, stop with the friggin' blasts please? 'Kay, thanks." Kanzaki said with a sigh, running a hand through his spiky hair. At James request to tinker with the device, he was surprised at Angus' nonchalance about it. "Wha-Really? ...Just make sure you don't mess it up too much, I suppose," He said with a sigh. The guy... or kid... seemed to know what he was doing at least. Then, there was the sudden appearance of the old man. The old man's ramblings were... preposterous at best... "Did you just rip that shit off some crappy old comic!?" Sighing after that to calm down, Kanzaki rubbed his head. "Angus... you okay with him being here...? He's got some sneaky skills going on... don't think his mind is where it used ta' be though... That, 'er he's trying to troll us..."
~~~~~~~Farm district~~~~~~ (Some back story, if you want just skip to the tech district)

Lance's recon and recovery unit code named "The Huntsmen" a unit that wasn't one of the more well known or celebrated military units around and in fact was made up of mostly people the government had one issue with or another but felt to valuable at what they do to really dispose or let go of was just arriving back in the morning into Jiharra after a mission that took a few days longer then expected and Lance seemed to be in rather high spirits compared to the rest of the men, after declining to head over to the bar for a celebratory drink he went straight home to see his Mother and Grandpa.

On his way home he ran into a few of the neighborhood kids playing in the street who quickly dropped what they were doing to run up to him, a couple jumped right up on him and others just gathered around him all asking him questions about how his mission was and if he had any cool stories to tell them, this brought a smile to his normally almost emotionless face that he put on whenever away from home and he told them that yes he had a few but he was late to get home, this brought frowns all around and so with a sigh he told them he would tell them one but it'd have to be on the way so everyone cheered a combination of yes, ok and yeah! So carrying one of the kids piggy back and yet another hanging off each arm while still others followed he told them a tale of his "Adventures" outside the dome (brought down to a PG-13 rating of course) and leaving out things he was told were to be kept secret he told them of the wonders of the outside and as he reached his families farm house he warned them against ever going out there until his unit made it a safe place once before telling them to head on home, with a unified "Yes, Sir!" all the kids gave him a variety of salutes and with him giving them one back they started running back to their families.

Lance's niece Hailey a fairly good looking farm girl only a couple years younger then him was at the front door watching with a mischievous smile "Looks like the big bad military man is home" she said teasingly as Lance walked up to the door "Just look at the children flee in terror" she added just to poke fun at him not being able to hide his softer side when at home.

Lance sighed with a grin "I hear they got terrorized enough when they came over to ask I had gotten home already and someone answered the door with her real face on" he said pointedly.

Hailey stiffened up immediately dawning her signature anger face she always denies having "Those little brats came knocking on the door everyday! All I did was kindly ASK them to stop! I don't know why they had to go running off like that!" she said while shaking her first.

Lance just chuckled "I'm sure that's what happened" he walked into his home leaving Hailey to stew as he greeted his family and saw that his mother was doing well and even though he insisted she let him help around the farm she strongly refused saying he had just gotten home and should rest, knowing when he had lost an argument with her he gave in and simply went to his grandpa's room to talk about what he had found out there and see if he remembered any good stories himself.

They talked for a while and Lance learned a little more about this VR world he was so fascinated in, he wasn't sure how much of what his grandpa said was true and how much he might have been making up to tell a better story but he didn't really care. He left his Grandpa after a few hours to get something to eat and then decided it was time to go ahead with his plan to see what was really going on with this project payback he had been hearing so many rumors about just before heading out on his previous mission, he told his family he was going into town for awhile and would try to be back for diner to which his mother gave him a stern "You better be mister!" giving him one last slightly concerned chuckle before heading out.

~~~~~~~~~Tech district~~~~~~~~~
Arriving at the projects base he used his Military credentials to get get in but quickly found that the lower floors were beyond his access level so he took to trying to find another way in, studying the layout of the place while he acted like he was just checking out a few things for his next mission and even ran into a few people he knew and struck up a conversation as to look less suspicious but getting into this building would be a lot more difficult then what he was used to, security systems like none he had seen before, guards posted everywhere who were very tight lipped even with fellow military personal, whatever they were keeping here was on high level lock down and that only served to peek his interest even more.
As he was thinking about calling it a day he noticed that the security started acting a little funny, a few guards left their post and the systems were acting up for some reason so he took this as fate giving him a helping hand as he saw an unguarded elevator that a few scientist were just stepping in so using the confusion he just walk into it with them like it was his job, one of them brought up the fact that they hadn't seen him around before to which he replied to without so much at looking at the man while standing straight in his military uniform and with a stern voice "Due to the sensitivity of this project more security personal have been positioned here then you could possibly remember" he gave the man a cool stare that cause the other scientist to part away as to not be caught in it "or are you trying to start something with me white coat?" the doors opened on next floor and all but one scientist had exited in a hurry, the same one who had talked up to Lance who approached him with a grin as the door closed and he placed his hand on the scientist's shoulder who seemed more then a little nervous.
Upon reaching -7 floor the two exited the elevator laughing "Who says a white coat ain't got a sense of humor?" Lance said as he padded the man on the back who seemed to to be in much higher spirits now "you really had me going there, It is good to know you Jarheads are not all simple minded philistines" he came back at him with to which Lance smiled and the two parted ways but not before Lance had secured his access I.D. something he felt would come in heady as he looked around trying to figure out where to go next.
Ginzo glares at the younger girl with a scoff. "As if I would want to see one as flat as you! Ha! I am a Dirty old man! But a Dirty old man with standards!" He says loudly and proudly while leaping atop a table.
Upon hearing the techs opinion of him he scoffs. "You young ones know nothing, why back in my day, we assassinated people that were plugged into the ne-"
Before he can finish Sylvia sighs and raises a hand to quite tha man. "He's a bit eccentric, but its true..I have the files in my records..the domes allow him to train infiltrators and scouts, so we can fight raiders, and what mechanical soldiers are around, gain intell and the like..in exchange for a quite life more or less, we keep a cover of a martial arts schoo..which it kinda is. Personally his Children would be a better deployment choice..but they are on the North American and Chinese Fronts." She says flatly, somewhat vouching. "Though I would be warry of trusting him after the AI bitch is dead..then again that might be true of me as well. But thats not something to talk about..everyone older than you kids lost quite a bit and had to attempt fighting them back when there was more of us.."
Angus looked towards Hadrien briefly before he responded. "Indeed, yes. It is one of the reasons why I chose you." With that, he turns towards the others and speaks again. "We'll be going into the other side by using the VR Interface. With that, we'll be going into her territory and fight her there. Some of the problems are that we don't know exactly what lies in there." With that, a picture of a Solar System with 7 planets appeared behind him. "All we know is that our VR World... That was the size of half a planet... Is now the size of an entire Solar System, with 7 planets on them... 8 if you consider the Neutron Star in the middle." With that, he pointed to the very, very small star standing in the middle of the Solar System.
As soon as he finished explaining that, though... A certain old man finally decided to show himself. Ginzo walked out of the group of scientists, revealing himself and then speaking that he'd like to help. As soon as he heard what he had to say, he chuckled lightly. "Yes. I heard that the Shinobi were reinstated some years after Japan's military reformation." With that, he sighed. "Ginzo, you'd be of more use on the outside, training these teens in here."
This time, her eye very blatantly twitched in annoyance. However, she kept her mouth shut. Kazuko had no reason to continue speaking foolishness with the old man. Huffing a bit and folding her arms, she shakes her head. What Sylvia stated was valuable information... luckily for her, she didn't plan on trusting the old coot period. Well, Kazuko didn't exactly trust anyone, but she'd be more open to listening to those that didn't completely get on her nerves. What Sylvia said made sense, but to be fair, Kazuko was likely closer to the loss than most others her age considering her father was one of those that attempted to fight back, but it isn't as if she'd bother stating that as there was no real point to it. Instead, Kazuko simply listened to Angus' explanation.
"Wait, Pops. Yer not yankin' my chain? Respect to you," Kanzaki replied, gaining a bit more respect for the old man. "But... please don't go gropin' anyone around here... Cause then I will have to deck you..." He pleaded with a sheepish chuckle, not exactly wanting to contradict what he just said by getting into a conflict with the man.
Sighing regarding what Syvia said, Kanzaki folded his arms. "Well, can't say I lost much besides a lotta' tha' friends I had... but still. My mom gave her all until she couldn't give anything more. I ain't gonna' half-ass this," Stated the young man. He wasn't just going to let all the hard work put into this go to waste.
Moving onto the subject of the virtual world. "Though, regardless of if we know exactly what to expect, the A.I.'s gotta have some kinda firewalls or defensive abilities, both for dealing with transgression from the real world and tha' virtual one we'll be jumping into, so keep that in mind."
Remaining silent James chose to let the group do most of the talking. He figured they'd ask most of the questions he had and if they didn't he could speak up at the end. Putting most of his attention into further dissecting the tech he had in his lap, his focus was interrupted when the older woman spoke up about Ginzo's operation. Who is this woman? he asked himself as he stared at her. Not curious or bold enough to ask her outright he soon returned to his previous task.
Ginzo huffs angerily crossing his arms as he stares at Angus. "Careful pup, this old man can send most of those here to the next world. I can aid with your task, but most of them lack the qualities to be a shinobi. Consider me reserve status. I will teach what I can, and you'll send me in for anything that requires a specialists touch. That way I don't hinder your mission, or waste my time teaching them skills they won't be able to master."
Staring at the girl with a look of contempt he says nothing but a mummer of flat can be heard. Turning his attention to the scientist he scoffs. "Do not take me for any simple pervert! I am a gentleman who watches his oppai from affar keeping them safe from harm! You should join me!"
Sylvia for her part sighs slightly at the old man, before closing her eyes, suddenly she speaks. "Its got nothing to do with what we lost, but why. Ya'll lot seem to think our world was better off before..not that it is now, but most of what happend was as we got hooked into the grid, married to it, thinking we were in control. Any small group of humans could'a done what that AI did..we got knocked down cause we were weak."
Having walked through the office area following a group of scientist he soon found his way into the room with all the new and refurbished tech, almost blowing his cover by staring for a little to long in amazement he found himself looking more and more out of place so instead of walking around like he owned they place he stuck more to parts of the lab that were less occupied and in doing so stumbled upon a meeting that seemed to have just started.
He watched and listened as the man in a lab coat finished off some explanation he had just missed but what followed seemed interesting as well so he tried to seem as if he was guarding the meeting while staying just close enough to listen in, some kid was asking questions about EMPs another to play around with a piece of tech while a face he recognized as Marshal Sylvia was talking about the fight in radiation but he was a little distracted as he knew if she spotted him he was definitely done for, shifting to a new location he sat up against a wall to over hear the rest while still making a couple of scientist around him uneasy and what he hear next about the projects goals was something else.
Wondering if he should get out of here while the getting was good he took a step forward when he heard Sylvia call someone out for sneaking around and immediately froze "Damn, ok think, why am I here because I couldn't find the bathroom isn't going to fly" thoughts of prison or worse ringing in his head as Ginzo stepped forward from the other side of the room and with an internal sigh of relief he couldn't help but listen in on this little bit of info "So old Ginzo isn't as over the hill as he'd want everyone to believe though he is still an old perv" Lance chuckled to himself in his head as he stayed despite his better judgement.
After hearing a bit more but feeling he had an idea for what was going on he finally felt the risk was higher then the reward and decided to start heading out when a scientist stopped him asking him to hold something to which he replied "I'm sorry but my turn on this shift has ended and I'm needed elsewhere" and tried to leave but the scientist stepped in front of him "I don't care where you think you need to go but I need you to hold these so here!" he handed him a few tools and a few things he had only even seen on the outside "now just hand me what I need or I'll get a hold of your superior and have you demoted so fast your head will spin!" not wanting to cause anymore of a scene he did as the man said and gave him things as he asked for them and fortunately was still with in ear shot of the meeting a fact the scientist would bring up from time to time when he had to repeat himself when asking for something "you daft boy? I thought they only late the best of you lot down here, hmph guess I was expecting to much" Lance did his best to ignore the man's insults while still trying to hear what the group was talking about.
