Currently, the biggest dome-city in the world. Set on the small mountains on Central America, the city is protected by the largest dome in existence, which is still in constant expansion and repairing due to the EMP Blasts. It is divided in three districts:

  • South District or Farming District: Where farms are placed to produce food and energy, although directly connected to a wired system that is then connected to the underground bases and generators, creating Solar Energy for the city. The farms possess all kinds of possible food, due to the fact that the temperature in the region is extremely tropical, almost all kinds of farms can be made in the location. This is one of the reasons why the location was chosen as a escape route for both South America and North America. Aside from that, the port is also nearby, with a gate by the sea that can be opened any time to allow the ships in construction to travel and attempt scavenging missions.

  • North-West District or City District: The district of the city is where most people live and few work. It is filled with small buildings. In order for the space to be filled most efficiently, apartments have been built instead of homes, with most of them covering small spaces to allow most people to live safely but also have their own privacy. Security is severely regarded as this is where the people have reunions and their leisure time.

  • North-East District or Tech District: The Tech District is the district where scientists and people capable of helping in means other than physical labor help by developing technologies and help increasing the city's limits. The district is marked by large underground facilities, a large disabled satellite dish and testing locations. This area is also where the military stands with cars, guns and where the children attend school and learn. The area is mountainous, not allowing many constructions, with the most marking ones being the Two Towers right in the middle of the district that are locations for the most intelligent and capable of the people. Technology is the key for survival in this world.

Two Towers - Tech District

With the sound of his steps being the only thing to reach his ears. The halls of the underground were desolate as Angus made his way to the room.

It was a normal day today, except his development with the VR Interface was making considerable progress. If things continued to go like this, they would be able to enter Virtua tomorrow, which meant that the enlisting for the project would have to begin. Over the past two years, he was selecting potential users to go into Virtua and to "bring the fight" to the AI that was there, commanding the Overseer Network.

As soon as he was able to see the door at the end of a long hallway, a sound reached his ears. The sound of construction. They were still constructing the VR Interface and the Deep Sleep System, which would enable people to go into Virtua. All he needed to do today was to search for new members to the program. However, as soon as he walked into the room, he wasn't surprised to see the same girl he would saw a few days ago... "Kazuko." He simply said, noticing she was already waiting for him.

He was the one who recruited her. It had been a few days ago. The reason he did so was completely oblivious to everyone else he worked with but it was very simple. The girl's intelligence, skill or even her apathetic attitude had nothing to do with it. It was simply because he didn't want her to be overly bored... As she was when he found her. Truthfully, he wasn't expecting her to come today, seeing as the girl had nearly no interest when he told her about the Project.

"I see you wasted no time getting here..." He smiled. "So, what do you think of the establishment?" He asked, looking around as he did so. The place was still under construction, but many rooms were already working and a single VR Interface and Deep Sleep Bed was working, which was why she was the only person he had officially enlisted thus far.

Ginzo quitely sips a cup of green tea, bathing in the morning light as some of his current students seem busy in the field. Well quitely if not for the fact he was going ahh every so often. He himself had been out in the fields earlier, the rice was doing well, though it still miffed him to lose another plot of land to resettlement. With his trusty cane sword at his side, the old Shinobi listens to the small radio at his side. During one of his songs it shuts off. With a sigh he smacks his fist into it. Normally this would get the device to work.

But this time the knobs just fall off and it sparks slightly. "damnit..useless junk made by this generation..hmph.." Picking up his tone and pitch he yells for his for better or worse, temporary Mechanic. "Hey Kid! Get over here, the radio broke on me!" Ginzo then goes back to his tea, waiting for the only person here that wasn't a student of the old Master.

When he entered the room, Kazuko was calmly sitting in a chair, hands in her lap and earbuds deafening her from the all the noise around her. She always had something in her ears to block everything out. It'd be more odd if she were sitting there reading a book or something.

When Angus entered, Kazuko turned her head to look at him before calmly pressing a button on the small MP3 device and pulling one of the buds out of her ear, however said nothing in response to her name being called. This was like her. She was always very quiet and reserved, choosing not to speak unless prodded enough to do so. Kazuko just didn't see much of a point in it.

To his inquiry, Kazuko paused for a moment. Usually, even if she was going to speak, it often looked as though she weren't at all. "...It is suitable..." Though... even if she did speak... it was usually quiet and concise. Kazuko certainly wasn't one who wasted her breath, and it wasn't simply because she particularly disliked the man either... even though she rather disliked people as a whole... it, again, was simply because she didn't see much of a point. Rather, it was a bit surprising that she replied at all. With most questions towards her, Kazuko often chose to reply with no comment.

"I'm glad to see you find it to be so." He told her with a small smile again. "Well, today we won't be training, yet." He added as he turned around and then made his way out. He waved for her to follow him and she did so. "Kazuko, I have recruited you for a mission you still know very little about and one that carries the weight of the world under your feet. However, I get the feeling you care very little about restoring the world and that the only thing you care about is having something to do." He told her as he made his way through the hallway.

The two made their way to the elevator and then he pressed the button for ground floor. "Tell me, how much do you know about the Old World?" He asked her about the world before the first attack. She probably knew very little but he wouldn't be surprised if she knew more than she seemed to. "You likely know of something called Virtua or Virtual Reality, don't you?" He asked her shortly after the first question.

In the dimly lit shed of Ginzo's plot, James was occupied by the intricacies of a Honda motorcycle. Wiping the sweat from his brow as he sat on a metal bucket, he heard Ginzo's faint voice from the house. Sighing he put the wrench in his hand down and wiped his hands clean as he walked toward the house. It was constructed following the traditional style of Japanese homes with a deck running around the length of it. Rounding a corner James spotted Ginzo sipping tea and sitting looking over his fields as he regularly did.

"Third time this month..." he said crouching down to inspect the radio. He could tell what caused it from how it was damaged but refrained for saying anything. Instead he picked up the knobs and unplugged it. Sitting down next to the old man he placed it in his lap and began taking it apart with the tools from his belt. Scanning the inside and the fixtures he muttered "Might be time for a new one..." before attempting to repair it.

"GET BACK HERE YOU GOD DAMN RABBIT!"
I hear the voice and steps of the older man running after me. I hated that nickname so much but I ran and ran with the brown bag wrapped up by my arms.

I could hear him getting closer and closer but I started to run faster than him. Youth trumps over experience when experience is a fat butcher. His hand nearly reached me but instead he wiffed and pulled my hood back, revealing my white hair. He was out of energy and I was out of reach. The last thing I heard was him shouting at me but I just smiled and ran off.

I made it back home and after climbing the stairs of the small house I went to the main room. A plain simple room with small decor about.
"Mama, I brought the food today, if only that bastard butcher would have no jacked the prices up." I placed the bag on the table opposite of the couch. My mother stood up and put me in a tight headlock

"How many times have I told you to not steal food from others" Her tone was a mixture of annoyance and teasing but her chokehold was making it hard to focus. I wiggled my head out of her grip and gasped for breath

"Stupid mom!" I stuck my tongue out only to bite it as she smacked my head with her hand before grabbing a beer can from the fridge.
Her looks were like she was barely in her 30's, wearing a small tank top and short shorts yet she was old. Apparently medicine before the collapse was very good and she almost never ages.

"I talked with McCoy, he wants to see you Hadrien." My mother started to assort the various food in the bag but I just plopped on the couch and didn't bother listening

"What does he want now? First he wanted to test on me because of my abnormal hair and eye color, what's next?"

"Just visit him, do it for me since he is a good friend"

I sighed out and started to head towards the door

Sighing a bit the old man seems about to start on a rant as a female jogger passes by the roadway..likely the real reason he was out here some would suspect. Watching her move the old man smiles slightly. "Oppai!" Seemingly forgetting his anger over the radio he laughs lightly while stairing. Turning back to the Radio he shakes his head. "Back in my Grandfathers time we had better radios, then in my fathers time it all went wireless tch seen how that went."

Sipping from his cup with another ahh sound, Ginzo looks out over his crops this time. "..might as well. We'll be able to harvest soon, we can use the left over food past our quota for trade goods, be pain in the ass to harvest outside the dome. Did you get that old 1990's harvester running? Will make our job a bit easier. That was quality built. Though spares are a pain to find..I just don't trust the ones that they say arn't in the Control of that AI.." Studying James out of the corner of his eye, he wonderd what made the boy have such a far off stare, but as always, it wasn't his place to ask.

Nodding to the notion that they wouldn't be training as of yet, Kazuko stood up and followed behind Angus. He wasn't wrong with what he said next. Kazuko indeed didn't care about the restoration of the world or of humanity. She lost hope in the species a while ago. Now she merely went on and lived... though the main reason for enlisting in this program was the hope that she could feel that adrenaline and pleasure she had occasionally experienced on the outside. This wasn't for the world, it was for her.

To his second inquiry, she once again nodded. "The world researched such technology and developed that Overseer Network... Then the technology researched over many decades was lost due to some Virtual attack... I apologize. I was very young before the transgressions began. I spent most of my years in this new world outside the domes. I know only what I overheard from my parents at the time," The amount she spoke was surprising... so it was likely that Kazuko didn't know much beyond that.

As the elevator moved, he heard what she had to say and her knowledge. She knew a bit, and he honestly expected so. "Not just any virtual attack. A mass virtual attack made so by an AI in less than two seconds." He told her as the elevator stopped and then the doors opened. He began to walk through the ground floor and make his way to the exit of the tower as he spoke. "The Virtual Reality, also called Virtua, was the base of all our technology for almost a half a century. Wireless technology was the most we got out of it. After the attack, though, everything went to hell and we lost all the technology."

They walked outside and Angus started to make his way to the helicopter on the helipad to the left. It was made in 2056, and it was his personal transport around the city. "Imagine that every sort of technology we discovered and developed was just there, floating in the air and that, then, something grabbed it in the air and disabled all our connections to it." He opened the door for her and then made his way around the chopper to the other side. Opening the door and walking in, he continued. "That was exactly what happened." He then started the engines and the chopper slowly started to float above the ground. It went ever faster upwards as the engines kicked in and then the back thrusters kicked in as well. They started to make their way to the South. "On my late researches, I have discovered that there is a door to the Virtual World completely open. It has been open for the last three years and no one noticed because no one cared to check. Fighting this thing in the real world is impossible... We need to fight it in it's own territory. That will be a difficult challenge. I need people who are capable and you're on the list, Kazuko." He said as he briefly looked towards her before they reached right above the long and large fields of crop and farms.

"Today, we'll be running around and recruiting people and I want you to be my assistant. You're observant and you can get people's personalities quickly. You're also smart and quick to judge." He started listing some of her skills even though he could do this himself. Truthfully, this was more of test for her than it was for him. He wanted to see if she was skilled in that or not. "So, you're up to the task of helping me choose your team?" He asked, once more looking towards her and smiling largely.

Looking up slightly at the old man's exclamation, James gives a quick glance at the woman and returns to his work. The knobs were no problem to fix but the connections were worn and needed replacement. Unfortunately he didn't have the materials to do that so the best he could do was strengthen them as they were. Producing more tools he began to delicately repairing the radio into working order.

Not taking his eyes off it he replies "Yeah, but it won't sound good." "I had to remove a piston so it'll be slower..." leaning forward to touch up on some wires he stopped then resumed "and it's low on fuel." with that he leaned back and tilted the radio into the suns rays. Inspecting his work he was hit with a memory from the past. He was reminded of the first radio's he worked on back in the merchants band. All the questions he asked and all he didn't know about it, how he thought it was magic the way it played music and transmitted conversations. Lost in thought his mind wandered a bit and questioned where they were and the kids who he left behind. Shaking the thoughts from his mind he began putting the knobs back into place.

"I saw a cheap radio yesterday in the trade district." "They made a lot of them in the past so it'd be easy to find spare parts." "It's bigger than this one though..." he said looking down at the compact device in his hands.

Kazuko found the rather long explanation not entirely necessary. The world had things, then they were suddenly taken away by the Artificial Intelligence, that was the only information she really needed before moving onto the open door, the operation and what Angus wanted her assistance for this day. But, at least she could add that to the databanks that was her misanthropic mind.

From what she understood, Angus wanted to fight the A.I. in its own virtual world. That, she wasn't entirely sure how it would work or what she would be able to do... though, Kazuko assumed he'd explain that to her when they had things worked out. The construction workers weren't doing nothing, after all.

However, while she understood all of what Angus said up till now, Kazuko was a bit baffled as to why he chose her to act as his assistant for recruitment. Well, it wasn't so much confusing as ironic. To most, Kazuko appeared simply reserved, quiet and mature... even though on the inside she was practically cursing everything, possessed almost complete apathy for others and would rather see them rot than prosper. Pondering it for a moment, Kazuko looked up to him to see his big grin that he'd always share. Huffing a bit, more at the smile than anything else, she pulled herself into the helicopter and sat herself down. "I will give you my personal opinion and analyzations... I can do nothing more than that."

"Well as long as it does the harvest..why in the hell did we give up oil. Idiots, you know we grabbed all these promises, didn't have a backup plan, and look at us now. I don't like it, but trash that radio Kid, use whats useful..always something, why I teach my students not to get attached to matrialistic things."

As his eyes move backupwards the old man lets out a laugh. Soon its obvious why as the jogger turns back seemingly doing a relay. "Oppai Oppai! Gehehehe!"

"Enjoy the sun while it shines, for darkness comes with storms that wane and wax. I wonder how my children are.." If somehow reading the younger mans thoughts or just by chance Ginzo mentions his own family, before standing to his feet. "I'll be in the fields. I'll give you some ration cupons for fixing that harvester, so get me that radio. What you do with the rest is up to you. Also join me for tea some time, I do have a shogi board around here some place, need to teach you young'ns your place. Gehehehe!" Placing his hands to his hips as he laughs it would be difficult to see him being as old as he was. Rushing off like a man several years younger he heads to his work before yelling back.

"Speak up if you talk to me Kid! My hearing hasn't went to hell, but regardless!"

"Ah, good!" He exclaimed upon hearing her answer. The chopper flew down and started to near the ground of a large, extensive farm. "The first person we'll be attempting to recruit is a boy named James. He's been here for less than a year but his profile shows that he's capable with electronics and repairing old tech." The chopper flew even more down until it stopped at a large helipad that stood right in the middle of the giant farm that covered many miles. As soon as the chopper landed, the engines stopped and Angus removed his glasses and his headset. He opened the door and then made his way around the chopper to open it for Kazuko. She walked out, he closed the door and then continued speaking. "After this, we'll be going after a Martial Artist known for her family name and then to the Defense Commander." He told her, still smiling as he looked at the holographic words in front of him.

They walked down a few stairs and then started to make their way to a HUMVEE. A soldier bowed to Angus as he opened door for Kazuko to walk inside. As soon as she did, he made his way around the car and to the driver's seat. Sitting inside, he resumed the conversation. "After that, we'll be going back to base and meeting with the most promising of the possible recruits..." With that, he started up the car and then made his way through the dirt streets that pointed to the center of the farm.

Listening to the old timer James looked down at the radio when told to trash it. While he wasn't the materialistic type he viewed machines as alive in a sense, at least when they were working. When they couldn't function anymore they had no purpose and were useless scrap, it was as if they died to James. Though it pained him to see it he wasn't bothered enough to feel sad only regret at not being able to repair it. His attention was grabbed once more at the mans wisdom, he knew all to well what it meant.

Nodding at the request to fetch the radio he slightly smiled when invited for tea. "I'll be back soon." he said as Ginzo went to attend his fields. Upon being told to speak up he repeated it louder and waved goodbye. Taking the radio with him he had no plans to scrap it, instead he would add it to the collection of old tech he kept in the shed. There were rows and rows of shelves with battered equipment still functioning but just barely. To anyone looking it was just simply a junk heap but to James it was similar to a hospital.

The old machines spent out their remaining days not losing their ability to function but not being degraded to death either. Placing the radio in a empty space he returned to his motorcycle.

The days of it looking brand new were long gone in terms of aesthetics. Despite that everything was in working condition, the chrome was all replaced with standard metal and the original paint on the tank was unrecognizable. The tires had so many patches it was amazing they still worked. Finishing up where he left off he soon rolled it out of the shed doors and onto the dirt road. Hopping on it he kicked the starter a few times before the engine finally roared awake. Throttling it he threw up dirt before lifting his legs and taking off toward the trading district.

He's too happy... Kazuko mentally mused at his apparent glee that she agreed to assisting him. Closing her eyes as they flew, she listened to what Angus had to say about the boy. Another boy... just what she needed. While Kazuko was misanthropic and distrusted humanity as a whole... it originally started out as misandry and she still was more wary of men than women. What Kazuko was curious about was exactly to what criteria Angus was recruiting. Were they going to fight against the A.I. technologically? If so, she wasn't sure why she was there... Kazuko was smart, but not a tech wizard. And if they were going into the virtual reality like she somewhat suspected... Well, she didn't really think either of them would be all that valuable in that sense. Rather, why not go for experienced combatants like this girl they would go to last?

Regardless, all she could do was presume. Eventually, she'd find out, she presumed. Stepping out of the copter and entering the HUMVEE afterwards, it was obvious that Kazuko made sure to secure her own little portion on the seat not too close to anyone in the vehicle... though that was pretty easy considering only Angus and a driver were present. "...Most promising...? How do you presume?"

Ginzo feels the hairs rise up on his neck as a helicopter can be heard in the distance, with James heading for town, this would be for the best. Singeling to what few students he had, all of the farm hands suddenly vanish. Using a system of animal calls or slight movement of brush they report the situation to Ginzo, and the approach of the Hummer. Running in a looping crouch to close the distance, he hides in the underbrush at the roads innersection.

"...who dares to disturb an old man during his retirement..and that girl had such a lovely figure too.." With a deep sigh the old man hunches slightly on his cane, deciding to test the character and even maybe the metal of the visitors now driving on his properity...if it was yet more home steaders he would be demaning more civilians to work the outside lands, each plot he lost was more work to fill, if they couldn't understand that then so be it.

Walking much slower and hunched over, he heads directly for the oncoming car with a smile on his face, as his left hand hides the fact, he's already bared some steal from his canesword. "ohayou~!" He yells out a few times to the old military transport, in an attempt to gain its attention.

Angus analysed the data in the holographs as he responded to Kazuko with a slightly more serious tone. "He's the biological child of one of the players that got through the first VR instance we attempted." He told her as he analysed his data. "Now, you might be questioning yourself what am I searching for in each of these possible recruits. I'm going to tell you eventually, Kazuko, but for now it's better to wait until everyone is assembled." He hoped she would understand and, as he said so, he raised his head from the holograph to smile at her once more.

As they drove them the dirt street, car shook every now and then. After a few minutes, they reached what seemed to be near the center of the farm. "There's an old man here called Ginzo. He's the one we'll have to talk to before we find James." With that, the car slowly started to stop as the group saw a man in front of the car, hunched on his back and waving at the car while yelling out. "Ah, there he is. If you want to, you can wait here, Kazuko." Saying that, he makes his way out of the car and walks towards Ginzo with his casual smile.

"Ohayou, Ginzo." He said as he got near the old man he knew very well. The two were well-acquainted with each other, as Angus would be the one allow Ginzo to have the controls of his own farms and also tell him about the potential children he could teach. "You don't need to be like that, we're not here to give you more people to care for." With that, he smiled again and chuckled. The old was spiteful. "Actually, this time, I'm here to take someone with me." He said as he pulled up the holographs and showed them to Ginzo. "Here, the boy's named James."

Nodding kurtly, Ginzo knew Angus well enough, though he questioned how much the former knew of him. "Hmph the farms are hard enough to work without having to move it for homesteaders. Tch.." Straigthening his back with a bit of a flex, he quitely sheathes his blade. "He left to run an errand for me. Perhapes you all would like to have some Green Tea?" Smiling slightly with his cane in hand, he was curious why they wanted James.

While he had no claim to the boy, the Kid had seen too much of what his school actually was, and more importantly who he was. Untill he felt the boy would be silent he was under Ginzo's protection, something he would not revoke lightly.

As a warry cat meow sounds, a small kitten wanders out from the brush. hmm Kenichi's.. Smiling at his students resourcefulness, the old man engages in a meowing contest with the small animal, as camoflauge to exchange basic orders. Telling them to go back to the Fields, as he scoups up the small kitten Ginzo sighs at Angus, as if leaving not means of debate, he wanders over to the hummer.

"Say, say, mind giving an old man a lift? Its the least you younsters can do for some tea, and he'll be coming back here after all."

(Hmm to let Angus know what the old man is soon or not, choices, choices.)

Angus watched the old man as he explained the current situation. Upon hearing the boy left on an errand, Angus sighed and was about to turn around before Ginzo offered him green tea along with him on the center of the farmland. As much as Angus would like it to eventually happen, he had no time for it and was about to say no as well. "Well, I can give you a ride back to your house but I'm afraid I don't have time to stay, Ginzo." He said to Ginzo but, before he could continue to speak, a meowing sound suddenly catched his attention.

Angus would have simply shrugged it off had Ginzo not had a contest with the small cat to see who could meow more. He sighed as he watched but suddenly Ginzo turned around and then decided that it wasn't up to terms any more as he walked towards the HUMVEE. "Like I said, I'm afraid I can't stay. I'll take you to the center of the farm but I'll leave it to you to tell James to come meet me at the Two Towers. Also, Ginzo, this is very, very important. I do not mean harm to the young man, I just need his help." Saying that, Angus led the way to the back of the HUMVEE. He opened the trunk and the two sat at the back as the driver led the car down the dirt road to the center of the farm.

It took them a few minutes before they stopped and then Ginzo hopped down. "Ginzo, don't forget to tell him. I can't tell you much about it, but know that it is our ticket back to the world out of these domes."

"Hmm..Cautious as ever..Ah I know, would you like to see his scrap pile? The boy has some interesting talents. Though I would say I feel a bit of Guardianship for the boy, I'm not like to just send him off at your request." Smiling lightly he noticed the driver seemed to take offense at Ginzo's antics more than his boss.

"You seem to be a busy man. I will tell him you sent for him, but it would be proper if you came later to see him. The Kid is troubled, I know as much." Having some interest in what Angus had to say, Ginzo smiles thinly. "Ah, well I have the..school to attend to. I will be in the main house, I am sure you can find your own way out. Gomenasai. And don't steal shit!"

Bowing lightly, he makes a round up motion summoning his students to the interior. He rather doubted the man would pursue the matter. And even if he did, he wouldn't find anything, unless he had the devils luck like James did. Heading inside he exchanges a few silent nods, as he opens a sliding door within the house. He would tell James what was asked..but he would also infiltrate that mans office if he had to, and would learn all that he needed.

It was hard to tell, but it almost seemed as though Kazuko's eyes... narrowed a bit for a moment, or even twitched slightly at his assurances. For as much as the girl read others, she didn't so much enjoy others being able to read her. Add what was to her, insult to injury, Angus then gave her one of his usual smiles. Huffing quietly to herself, Kazuko simply closed her eyes... but not before eyeing the old man Angus apparently had to speak with... She didn't like the man's look towards her.

Kazuko waited as Angus exited the vehicle to speak with the old man, indeed choosing to wait in the HUMVEE and occasionally open her eyes to glance at the two conversing. It wasn't until she felt movement towards the vehicle again that she fully opened her eyes to watch the two... She wasn't too keen on the old man joining them, though as long as he kept his distance, Kazuko could tolerate him. Which, surprisingly, he did... though Kazuko still followed him with her eyes until he was out of sight.

Angus nodded before he moved into the HUMVEE and then closed the trunk. "So, our next stop is the City District. Oh... This one might be a problem." With that, Angus sighed as the car made it's way through the fields right above the dirt street.

It took them about 15 minutes to get to where their next possible recruit was. It was a small military camp that stood in the transition zone between the city and the farms. The car stopped and, this time, even the driver walked out of the car. Angus walked out and made his way to open the door for Kazuko to walk out. As soon as she did, he closed the door. "This one is interesting. Her name's Sylvia. She's been a mercenary, a part of the military since her young ages and now she works as somewhat of a Marshal to the city of Jiharra." He told Kazuko as the two walked into what seemed to be a big tent that served as the bar for the small camp.

Returning roughly half an hour later, James rolled his bike into the shed and made his way to the house, radio in hand. A newer model compared to the previous one it was easier to repair and sported a larger scan range. He had managed to find some spare parts for it rummaging through a scrap yard. Searching inside for Ginzo he finally found him sitting where he had before out on the houses deck. "Here she is." he said setting it down next to him.

"Hmm..Good. Sit." Ginzo says in terse command. Stroking his beard gently he pauses and takes a breath. "Oh by the way, search the house if you would like, see if you find my hiders. If you find them, there is no point in me trying also." Drawing his cane sword, be blocks a throwing blde that emerged from the fields. "Be on guard. Anyways Angus came here, looking for you. Claims to have a plan to take back out world..personally I do not trust him. I am not fool enough to dismiss your skills.. but.. Oh Oppai!" Smiling and waving at the jogger he seems to be returning home he cackles. "Ah yes. I asked him to come back for you. You may go as you please, but I aim to find out what he is doing.."

Meanwhile in the City or rather the camp that acted like the Military and Admistration district, Sylvia sits in the back office her feet up on the desk, drinking a 40 straight from the bottle. While it didn't seem to make sense to have what served as Law Enforcement in the bar, this generally was where the only trouble in the city of not happend. With some form of Shotgun on the table she flips one of its projectile shards in her hand, stairing lazily at the wall. Looking ahead she sees a pair heading for her door. Or rather the cloth flap that acted as one, lethargically and slowly she sets the bottle down sliding it across and under the desk in what she thinks is smoothly, obviously a little drunk this early in the day. "If this is about the cows blocking the road, just leave now, and file a claim with the agriculture board."

As soon as he walks into the tent, he clearly smells the distinguishable smell of the alcoholic drinks. If Sylvia was to be anywhere, it would be here. Angus wasn't one to simply walk in blindly, he had studied each of his potential recruits. The question was, what made them so special for him to go after them and get them into such a simple, yet confuse mission.

Angus made his way into the small room that could be called the Marshal's office in the corner of the bar. He pushed the flap away and spoke so that she could know who it was. "Cows blocking the road? And here I thought that our problems were a lot worse than that..." Though he was joking, his opinion was honest. He knew Sylvia, but very little. He barely had any chance to speak with the woman, seeing how he was consumed in his work in the last years. "Hello, Miss Reed. I believe you know me, correct? In case you don't, my name is Angus McCoy. I am the one of the scientists working in the Two Towers." With that, he made a light bow. As soon as Kazuko made her way in, he introduced her as well. "Kazuko, this is Sylvia Reed, the current Defense Commander of Jiharra. Although it seems like she herself doesn't take her work seriously, she might just be bored like you." With that, he smiled. "Sylvia, this is Kazuko. She's my first recruit." He presented the two to each other. With that, he walked forward and sat down in front of the desk. "So, you gonna offer me a glass of that 40?" He asked. The man was a lot more perceptive than he seemed.

As the vehicle began moving once again, Kazuko shut her eyes once again and remained silent as he spoke... however, after he was done she did not ask him about the supposed troublesome recruit. "...McCoy-san, I would appreciate that you not invite blatantly perverse old men into the same vehicle as a young, defenseless girl such as I," She requested... or rather stated with more of a stern voice than usual. Though, while Ginzo wasn't exactly so blatant. Rather, he seemed to have no intentions of the like... but apparently Kazuko saw through his act... if it was an act at all. Perhaps simply a bad vibe. Regardless, it was clear she was wary of him.

Moving onto the subject of the woman, Kazuko wondered exactly what kind of person she was. Military, she was familiar with, her father having been enlisted prior to this state of the world... Mercenaries, however, she had no experience with. At times, her father would mumble to himself that they're no better than whores, just replace killing for sex... Though, she didn't really value her father's opinions, not in a long time.

As they finally arrived and entered a tent, Kazuko immediately noted the alcohol and the bored, slightly annoyed attitude... Reminded her a bit too much of her father. She simply stared at the woman and analyzed her. Kazuko only promised to watch the recruits, analyze them, then give her opinions to Angus. She wasn't planning to actually converse with any of them unless necessary. Even when introduced, Kazuko didn't give so much as a nod in acknowledgement.

Staring at the pair, Sylvia yawns slightly, streatching. "What 40..I ha..ah fuck it." Reaching under the desk she grabs a few glasses, with a sigh. "I'm happy when its just the cows. I get to drink..had enough time fighting..though I'll say I miss it a bit. Plus have to use this half assed steamshotgun..rather be able to use a rifle."

Hearing who the man is, her gaze seems to zero in on him slightly as if focusing. Looking over the girl, she doesn't seem to impressed or concerned. "Scientist huh? I hope you arn't need'n a bodyguard, dealt with those assholes enough when the US Army was a thing." Pouring the man a glass she half thinks on offering the girl some. "Ehh..no.. Anyways what can I do for you? Got questions about the war? The burns, complaints? Need some Thump'n...skulls that is, you couldn't affoard my body." She says matter of factly.

Pausing for a bit, her eyes narrow. "..what do you mean..recruits?"

As soon as she starts to talk about her current status as "the Marshal". "It seems you don't enjoy your job that much." With that, he smiled again. With that, she stared at him, seemingly studying him or confirming who the hell he was.

"Ah, don't worry, I don't plan to attack an AI that has control over nuclear armament and radioactive weaponry. At least not physically." With that, he smirks slightly. "I mean soldiers, Sylvia, and you're one of those who I have on my list." With that, he takes the glass and drinks it down in one go. "I mean people who are willing to take the fight to her instead of destroying what she controls." The way he said it, it seemed like he had a lot more knowledge on the fact than most. "Now, I'll go straight to business. I'm making a small group of elite people. I can't tell you the reason for it unless you're willing to join but all I can say is that it involves payback and getting back our world." With that, he leaned back on the chair and awaited to see what sort of reaction that would get out of her.

City District, on one of the many alleys of the city

"Hey, man, look at that little girl. She looks kinda hot, doesn't she?" A young man in clothes resembling those of biker gangs looked at a girl walking through the streets. "Yeah, she does... She looks so innocent too..." One of the many members of what seemed to be a gang responded. The four of them looked at the girl walking by with a stare that could be felt from miles... It was so obvious that even Han knew it already. Still, she played along. She couldn't care less if a few thugs stared her.

However, after they made their way out of the alley to harass her and attempt to then abuse her right there... Well, then it was different. Soon after the first tried to lay a hand at her, Han twisted it and delivered a merciless blow to the stomach, in a vital point. The man staggered and fell on the ground while the others looked in dismay. One of them tried to punch Han, what a foolish and predictable move. She easily dodged the attack before a simple attack at the head of the man caused him to fall down unconscious. The other two made something slightly more elaborate: Attacking both at the same time. Had Han not been trained to fight against multiple opponents at the same time, it might've just worked.

The attack was too slow, Han was able to dodge it too with very little effort. She quickly made her way behind them and then knocked their heads together, causing the two to fall down instantly, both unconscious. Han sighed. "They never learn..." She mused to herself. "The worst part about all this is that it was so boring and easy." She added before she turned around.

I round the corner and the scene from a horror movie or an anime appears before me. Four knocked out individuals and a girl with black hair cracking her knuckles
"Jesus Han, ever hear of taking it easy?"
I had the 'pleasure' of calling the girl my childhood friend and I knew she had either gotten pissed at the group or they tried to fight her... either way her fists hurt hard
"Where are you off to Han?" I jumped down over the bodies and next to her

At the mention of nuclear weapons, there is a hint of fear, hatred, madness?, all seem to play behind her eyes. Reaching a hand behind her neck on the left side, the semi peacekeeper, slowly runs a had over it, then her face.

"Oh it was nicer when one person was all they needed to get the SAMs and Jammers back on..now I get a nice title and a safe posting as they consider me to valuable to lose out on on the fringes."

Thinking about all the things she lost, she simply reaches under the desk. When she pops back up a metalic face mask is in her hands, noteably the edges seem to match her burn marks, in an absurd fashion the mask locks in over her face. Narrowing her eyes as if hiding the hint of a smile she stands. "Well now, color me interested. I should be able to avoid most of my work here, most of its handled by the normal guardsmen anyways..but first.."

Walking out into the main bar a fight seems to be breaking out over some woman or another, by two off duty soldiers. Not even bothering to debare the issue, she simply grabs both men by the head, and enforces a meeting of the minds with them. As both men fall she scoffs. "Stop fighting over damn whores, get back to work. Get a proper woman." One of the men then makes the unwise and drunk choice of saying as if she would know any. Kicking him in the face she looks over at the barkeep. "Don't give any of these shits anything to drink for a week. I'll send the next man thats not out patroling the dome, to the outside. Your assets of the state, and if I have to storm a wall over your bodies I damn well will. Also I'm taking this into evidence.." She says while grabbing a bottle, reading the label she whistles. "Kentucky Rye, well now, maybe one of you two idiots could get a good woman after all, your tastse isn't fully shit." The man she kicked in the face mumbles a thank you as other guardsmen help him up, and those set on patrol suddenly find better places to be.

Returning to the room she sighs, placing the bottle inside of her dress jacket. "Sorry bout the mess, I don't handle training, if I did these problems would be cut down in half..Well shall we leave?" Sylvia asks from inside her face mask.

Angus looks at the woman's expression. She passes her hands through the peacekeeper and then to her face. He traced them very carefully to make sure she wouldn't make any drastic decision. People like her, you never knew when they could just react and attack out of nowhere. "Everyone's valuable. You just had a bonus to come along with." He said, smirking slightly as he did so. "Not that I don't appreciate it. Just know that we would've accepted you either way, being Marshal or not." He added before he laid back on the chair again, seeing she was starting to wear the mask.

The woman talks about her interest before she walks outside. "This little group's getting interesting, isn't it?" He asked rhetorically to Kazuko as he chuckled and poured some more 40 on his glass. He drank, again, all in one go and then he got up. "Well, that's one less problem." He says right before Sylvia goes inside. She talks about the mess and then about the training. "Don't worry, we're all used to it." Saying that, he waves for her to follow him.

He makes his way outside and there's a very large helicopter by the middle of the camp, awaiting specifically for his group. "Sorry for the transport. I wanted something that called less attention." He said out loud to the two as he walked towards the door and opened it. After the two made their way inside, he sat by them and made a simple question aimed at Kazuko. "So, opinions?"

While that, back at the city...

"Only weaklings take it easy. Those who know what they are doing go all out right from the beginning instead of playing around." With that, she cracked her knuckles and then turned her back to her childhood friend. "I'm going to the Two Towers. McCoy wanted me to go there for something. I guess it's finally time, huh." With that, she sighed.

She then resumed her walking towards the other side of the city, the East District, remarked by the two very large towers that soared the skies.

A noticeable flinch moved Kazuko a bit at the sign of the conflict. Conflict and violence... it was something Kazuko enjoyed only when she was the one harming another and it couldn't come back to bite her... otherwise... it frightened her... Audibly so. This woman was even more akin to her father now, in the sense that she could physically beat down most that disrupted her.

When Angus spoke out to her, Kazuko once again jumped slightly, though she quickly recovered. Saying nothing, she simply cleared her throat quiet as possible before the woman returned and they left the tent together this time.

Entering the car, once again Kazuko kept herself seated away from the other two, simply placing her hands in her lap and shutting her eyes. That was, before Angus once again called out to her. Opening her eyes, Kazuko stared back at him, then glanced over to the woman, before returning her gaze to McCoy. "...She is... much like my father. She obviously holds combat ability and little hesitation to use it... I would assume that would as well come with the strategical capability required of a soldier. Aside from that, she seems a bit desensitized and mentally fatigued... though that is not uncommon for one such as her. I'd expect her to be stable and skilled enough to work with... however that blatant apathy might be questionable, depending on how you were to look at it," Though, all the same, Kazuko was just as apathetic towards most things.

After a few minutes, the car stopped near the helicopter and everyone dropped off from the car, with Angus as usual opening the door for both Kazuko and Sylvia. Soon after, the trio made their way into the large helicopter, which then closed it's doors and started it's path to the Two Towers. "With that, most of our group is assembled. You'll meet the others when we get to the tower, Kazuko." He mused with a small smile.

"About your analysis. I must say it was very interestingly correct, Kazuko. Your observing skills are as impressive as I expected them to be." He clapped his hands softly. "Now, let's see if you're going to be able to keep that up for the next members." He added, smiling largely as he did on the first trip.

While that, back at the city...

Han looked towards Hadrien. "Why do you dwell on such questions? Thinking about them isn't going to change anything, Hadrien. It's better for us to just focus at the task at hand." With that, she turned back to him once more before she started to make her way to the Two Towers.

"But, yeah... I know it's hard to believe it. They say so themselves so it always felt so strange. To think they worked with the force that is behind the destruction of our world is very strange." She mused, more to herself than to him.

"It's even stranger when you actually went to one of the big cities after the desolation, Hadrien. If you had seen them, you would be impressed... They are marvels of everything humanity knows. It's like a gigantic wonder city!" She told him. "We'll bring them back to normal one day, just you watch it." With that, she returned to her steps towards the Two Towers.

I heard my mom and dad fight about the one called Hadrianna, who i'm named after and who my dad apparently married or something. Whatever it was, she was the cause and apparently I was part of the cure

Simply nodding at Angus' statement, Kazuko looked to him and spoke. "After we confront them, will you then state why you are choosing who you are choosing? I may assist with observations, perhaps a bit tactics... but conflict of any kind is not a plausible option for one such as me..." She questioned, followed by reasoning for her curiosity. It just didn't make sense to her. Sylvia, sure. But her? If they thought they could put her in some boot camp and beef her up... they would be met with very demoralizing results...

To his praise, she once again nodded. "She is more difficult to read than most... I only could judge her likely due to knowing one similar to her," Kazuko stated truthfully. Likely, the others would be easier, or so she expected,

Angus looked towards Kazuko when she questioned him. "Even when I tell you about it, you may even not understand it. At any rates, it will take time for you to fully understand it." With that, the helicopter made it's way near the tower's rooftop. "As much as I'd love to tell you, we must wait for now." With that, the helicopter landed and the sound of the engines slowly stopped.

"Our next guests will be down. Sylvia, take this key and make your way to floor -7. That's underground." Giving Sylvia the key and allowing her to make her way to the room of the Project, he waved his hand for Kazuko to follow. "These two we will meet are the most promising ones, specially the boy. You likely won't understand why, but when we begin the Project, you will." He told her as he made his way along with her to the elevator. He pressed the ground floor button and the elevator quickly made it's way down. "The boy is the biological child of a genius and a savant of the Overseer Network. He might not be as smart as either his father or his mother, but he certainly has the capability to be." Saying that, the elevator stops and, as soon as Hadrien asks, the two are seen leaving the elevator and making their way towards the two.

"The girl is a bit more complicated. I can't explain to you her story so quickly." Saying that, Angus waved at Hadrien and Han. "Hello, you two. It seems like both of you received my message. Would be as kind to follow me?" He asked.

Han simply nodded. She was clearly slightly angry at the fact that Hadrien made a huge show at opening a simple door. Although, when Angus walked in, a smile clearly appeared on her face. "Sure, Dr. McCoy." She said when he asked if the two could follow him.

With that, Angus and Kazuko took lead and led the way to the elevator and to Floor -7. "My friends, this is Kazuko, she's a student of mine. Kazuko, these are Han and Hadrien. They are children of long friends of mine." He told introduced them to each other.

"The darkness of ignorance may only be purged by the light of knowledge... I won't understand as long as I don't have all the pieces to the puzzle.... but I suppose it is your decision ultimately how much to share and for when," Kazuko mused aloud.

As the bird landed and the trio exited before making their way down, Kazuko nodded a bit at his explanation of them, though she still didn't quite get it. She thought it was more dependent on who the children themselves were rather than who their parents were. She didn't think that simply because their parental figures were geniuses or related to the Overseer System that they themselves would be that useful. It was simply expectations, which was normal for humans to do. If you placed one person next to another who was great, it wouldn't take long for someone to start comparing the two and expecting something one could do well from the other. But, she supposed that she would see whenever she met them.

Once they noticed the two leaving an elevator, once again, Kazuko simply stared at the two. The boy had a strange hair color, that was for sure... That uniqueness was likely one reason for the expectations. The girl was a bit more... normal-looking... Though she knew better than to judge from appearance. As with the prior introductions of the day, Kazuko made little movement upon being introduced, though rather than staring at them like she had with Sylvia, Kazuko kept next to a wall and stared straight forward. She didn't like physical contact with people... elevators weren't known for their size... ergo, elevators weren't pleasant for her. Luckily, it seemed at least the boy was too concerned with other things to acknowledge the introductions... A good thing for her. Now she could distract herself until she could leave the damned Devil Box.

The elevator doors opened up to reveal the facade that was used to protect the Project Payback. An office-like room that served as Angus office. He didn't really use it, it was something he rarely saw himself in, and perhaps that was the reason it was so tidy. Angus led the way once more, walking forward and motioning for the three to follow him. "Take a seat, everyone." He said as he walked towards his desk and sat down while looking towards the group with a serious expression.

"Angus, is this why I was sent to this place?" Han asked from the elevator. She didn't seem impressed in the least. In fact, she had the same smile she had ever since she had saw Angus. "Yes, Han. I don't even need to ask you, I believe. Your mother told me that you'd be more than willing to enter hell to get what you want." Angus said. He smirked slightly before he sighed and then looked towards Hadrien. "Yes, it is, in fact, related to your mother. Although not just with her. It's more about you than anything, Hadrien." Saying that, he placed his elbows on the table and spoke to Hadrien calmly. "Hadrien, the time has come. You and Han are what we have left of a generation that was present at the very beginning. It could be said that your parents were the creators of the AI that currently dominates Earth and all the technology we had. The only question I have for you is: Are you willing to fight and recover what we lost?" He asked the boy sitting in front of him.

He was unsure of whether or not Hadrien was going to join. Seeing his personality, it was difficult to reach a conclusion.

Sylvia for the most part keeps silent even with the evaluation of her. As if pondering her situation she speaks in the helicopter. "So you know Mister Angus, my rank isn't that useful. In all there are four Defense Commanders, or Marshals if you will. Each Dominates one of the Four Sectors." Pausing a bit at that to let it sink in she laughs bitterly. "In pratice. Its a Cerimonial Title. While we have control of local Garrisons, ones further out are controlled by the local Commanders. And large scale operations have to be approved with the Local Civilian leaders..in alot of ways its like the ancient Soviet Union with its own Marshal Rank. Most days I simplely give out information time to time on the systems, or instructions. So if you are counting on my help in that area you need a great plan." Pausing for a bit once more, as she's given the Key Sylvia chuckles briefly.

"My Father always said beware of underground places, regardless maybe my time fighting will be some use to yah."

Taking the key in hand Sylvia follows the more or less orders. Looking around the building, she heads to the conferance room, Sylvia notices the other three. Simply falling into the habit of her old job Standing bechind and to the righ of Angus she stands at parade rest, her mask removed. Looking down at him slightly. She seems to wait to see what his plan is, but decides to ask, didn't we have two others to retrive? Or one?"

Taking a seat next to Ginzo, James hesitated at the mention of finding hiders before sitting down. Remaining quiet he listened about Angus's visit and the need of his skills. He didn't know what to make of it, why now and not earlier, more importantly why specifically him. Pondering on it he stared blankly over the fields for awhile. While Ginzo wasn't trusting of most he often had good reasons not too. James wasn't sure if Angus could be trusted but resolved that seeing what he wanted couldn't hurt. "I'll see what he wants." he said standing up. Turning around he went into the house to find the hidden pupils. There weren't all that many good spots but sometimes the students were crafty. Scanning the interior and listening intently he muttered "Found you." while looking at the floor.

Scoffing silently Ginzo laughs. "It is too bad you arn't physically able to pursue our art. You have eyes that serve you well." The old man says as he sips his tea with a happy sigh. "I'll likely take the students on a bit of a pratice run, Do tell me when you go." And as suddenly he goes back to his old man mode Screaching while screaming he turns his head back to James.

"Ehh! Wheres my Radio!? Damn youth today and losing sight of vigor and purose!...tch." Getting up to his feet he decides to search the cargo bags on the back to find it himself muttering the whole while, minus time to time where he dodges the pratice attempts to assassinate him.

Angus awaits briefly for his answer, which didn't take much time to come. When he spoke about his father and about the Old World, about the sky and about how he wanted to see it without a dome in the way again, Angus chuckled. "That's a very interesting dream, Hadrien." He says with a smile. "But if you work hard for it, we can do it." He added as he then got up.

"Yes, indeed, there is one more that we must meet, but for now I believe we are good to go. Kazuko, both me and you will stay here." He walked towards behind him where a small concealed door stood. Pressing a button and inputing a code along with a small eye-analyzer, he steps back and the door opened up to reveal a very long hallway. "You'll meet the last member of the group, Kanzaki. Don't mind his appearance, he's a very nice lad." With that, he turned around and sat back down. "From there on, he'll lead you to the lab." He told them as Han nodded.

She followed Sylvia and the three made their way into the long hallway that led to the labs in the back.

As soon as everyone left, Angus looked towards Kazuko and smiled slightly. "So, opinions on the two yet?" He asked. He was curious to see what she would say about them.

Through me the way is to eternal dole;
Through me the way among the people lost.

Pondering that... Kazuko found it a bit difficult to give her opinion of the two, not because they were particularly difficult to figure out... but simply because of a lack of interaction. They didn't speak up much. "In fairy tales, the knight faces the dragon, slays it and rescues the princess... In reality, should the knight approach the dragon so nonchalantly, likely he would be devoured by the beast. The boy appears to have noble ambitions, I simply hope he realizes wanting something to change and actually changing it are very different and vary greatly in difficulty... The girl hasn't reacted enough for me to judge. She appears to like you... and be peeved at something the boy did..." Murmuring that, Kazuko lightly grasped her chin. "You said they are descendants of the ones who created this A.I. If that is true, I can understand why you would hold so much faith in them... but there is no guarantee they will be of so much assistance simply because of who their parents were. Or have you seen something else in them that I have yet to take note of?"

"That doesn't matter... Just... Look, if you don't know what something does... and this is very important... Don't... touch it..." A certain spiky, orange-haired man lectured with a sigh. Currently, there were some people trained to handle the more technological side of the operation. Kanzaki could understand some of their mistakes, having once been an amateur himself and making many of the same mistakes, but it didn't make it any less exhausting. After a quick apology and some more words being passed between the two, the slightly younger man left as the three kids... or rather, two kids and one woman much older than he, approached.

"You're the ones Angus wants for the operation? Huh... You two don't look much younger than I am... Honestly, was expecting more hardcore-lookin' people like her," Kanzaki admitted with a light laugh, referring to Sylvia before waving them to follow. "Though... kinda relieves me a bit knowing there's some people around my age... Name's Kanzaki," The man introduced, leading the group further down the hallway to a large metal door and swiping some kind of card through a slot in a panel adjacent to the door, it blinking a green color in confirmation and allowed the door to be open, to which Kanzaki grabbed the handle and pushed past it into the labs. Noticeably, this room was filled with likely the highest-end technology currently available. It might even look a bit foreign to those living outside the domes or spent much of their time outside the domes. Hell, even the people inside the domes didn't get to see or use machinery like this. Alongside the tech were a large number of people dressed much like Kanzaki steadily working on, typing and doing... whatever with some of the electronics. "Pretty cool, huh? Bit overwhelming when ya' first see it, though."

Having found most of the students James assumed they were all that was inside the house. If he had missed a few it didn't bother him as his mind was elsewhere. Still questioning what he was needed for he decided to leave and put his thoughts to rest. Finding Ginzo with his new radio, James asked him where Angus was wanting to meet and told him he was going to find out what he wanted."I won't stay long." he said not forgetting his latter duties as he turned toward the shed's direction.

"I'm sure." Ginzo says plainly and crypticly. As he watches James heading out, he hand picks three students. "Lets play a game with the tower, you all keep what security they have chasing ghosts, after James enter. Don't get killed or fight if you get caught, its a minor tresspass charge. But try and not get caught." He says with a smile. Donning his old Shinobi sneaking suit, Ginzo streatches slightly. "Well lets all take the car part of the way, lets let James have a bit of a head start." Getting nods in reply the old man is already planning his entry into the towers.

Sylvia for her part mostly remains silent with a distant gaze, upon seeing the younger scientist she scoffs slightly at his hardcore comment, though she had to admit it was true. Walking the lab area, she seems to be studying the Machines, watching the operators at work. "Hmm..speaking of, this fight he spoke of, Me I can see..but why so many...children? Just what is this all about?"

At the remark on the machines from Kanzaki she shrugs. "Impressive enough for today, see things like this often in my old line of work..though I don't know bout ta rest."

Wheeling out his motorcycle James went back in the shed and retrieved some extra tools. He wasn't sure if they needed something repaired or just wanted to chat but he wanted to be prepared. Securing them in his tool belt he hopped on his bike and started it up. Slipping his googles down he sped off down the dirt road and toward the city. Upon hitting traffic he took to the empty spaces between cars and the sidewalks to get around them. With people shouting and honking at him as he looked at the tower in the distance.

Arriving he kicked his stand down and let his bike rest. Removing a few parts from it's steering column he ensured no one would easily take off with it unless they had a truck. Sliding his googles onto his forehead he looked up at the grand tower and then proceeded for the front doors. Inside it was clean like most buildings in the dome and had a greeting desk with the corporate name displayed behind it. Walking up to the lady who was sitting there he asked for Angus.
