| The Docks of London. Here one can purchase a new ship, get repairs to a current one, buy goods and supplies, and assemble a crew. The air is heavy with the smell of the ocean, and the port is bustling with activity. |
| A powerful looking warship sails into the harbor, flying a flag with a phoenix on it. This ship belongs to the Royal First Squadron. A twenty year old woman walks off the ships after the gang plank is lowered. She takes a look around at the harbor, then nods satisfied, and leaves for the tavern. |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia walked onto the deck of her ship. It was spick and span, and several boys were applying new coats of paint to the hull and replacing the sails. A few more of them were scrubbing the decks. She had several men offload the cannon that had worn out, and then more take the empty water casks and sit them on the docks. She nodded, satisfied, and walked over to the cabin, opening the door and entering. She hung her jacket and hat on a peg, then sat down in the chair situated at an elaborately carved wooden desk. She began studying various maps of the region where pirates were apparently now patrolling. She pulled out the orders she had received directly from the royal family and began to read them. The orders read as such: It has come to the attention that certain waters of the Great Empire of Britain, are now being patrolled by those who seek to disrupt and profit from the trade of our merchant ships. As such we authorise you to take your warship the Phoenix and supply her with enough armaments and rations to cruise for a month. After your ship has been outfitted with said supplies, it is the wish of the Royal family that you take the Phoenix and prevent the disruption of our sea trade. All measures are authorised, and any person found committing acts of piracy are to be executed publicly without a trial in a court of law. May God give you speed -The Royal Family of Britain She nodded then continued looking at her maps, still studying them. |
| John Cormac He arrived at the ship, carrying a mid-sized crate with him. He walked onto the deck of the Ship, looking around. |

| Ace arrived he was exhausted so he instantly went to his quarters on the ship and began writing in his journal |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia got up and walked out onto the deck of her ship. She noticed someone walking onto the ship, a crate in his hands. He matched the description of her master gunner. She walked over to him. [b]"Afternoon, I presume you are Mr.Cormac?" |
| John Cormac "Afternoon, and yes, you must be Captain Algitson?" He said, readjusting his hold on the crate he was carrying. |

| Jack was directing a Contingent of Royal navy soldiers to put the new uniforms and Weapons on the ship, He went to the Captain, Saluted and Says "Captain, We have received the supplies for Battle, the men are loading the Ship as we speak." |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia nodded at Cormac. "Indeed I am. You will be my master gunner for the duration of the journey Mr.Cormac. You have quarters suited to your rank below decks, please take your personal belongings there, then report back to me." She turned towards McRiver. "Excellent work commander McRiver. Check to make sure that all the weapons are in working order. Then I want you to go back to the fort with these orders for a contingent of royal navy sailors and marines, they will be joining us for the duration of the cruise." She handed him another document stamped with the royal seal, this one containing orders for the men she had requested. |
| John Cormac "Yes, Captain!" He nodded, and walked off to his quarters |

| Ace eventually stopped writing and went up onto the deck and noticed Julia "I've got all you requested" he said as wagons arrived with the supplies he was to get then he jumped off the ship and began loading the supplies on to the ship |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia nodded at him, then directed the troops who had just finished loading the ship to start helping with the new supplies. They started assisting with unloading the wagons. |
| Ace would sneak rare looks at Julia but it would be hard to notice because his hat made his eyes hard to see as it cast a shadow over them while loading the ship |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia looked at her quartermaster. [b]"Quartermaster! A word please." She looked at him, the way she stood looked intimidating. |
| "As you wish" Ace said as he put the box he had down then he walked over to her |
| ""Yes captain, I will check the weapons now, then I will go to the fort as you have requested" jack goes off to the weapons and made sure they were all ready. Then he went to the fort to give the order to the fort master. ( going to sleep, conman you can control my characters movement until I post again to move the storyline or the rp. ) |
| [b]Julia[/b] He looked him in the eye, even though she was about a foot shorter than him, looking up at him did nothing to downgrade the air of authority she had. "I want you to inspect every inch of this ship, make sure every thing is ready to go. Afterwards, we'll have a contingent of sailors and marines arriving, get them properly quartered, then assemble them and the officers on the deck, I want to make a ship wide address as to what we will be doing on this cruise." (Alright, we'll just assume that your character comes back with the men Julia requested, then we'll move on with the storyline.) |
| John Cormac He arrived back on deck, walking over to the Captain. He salutes her. "Captain." |
|
| "As you wish" Ace said as he ran to the lower decks and began inspecting the rooms and areas |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia looked at Cormac "At ease Master Cormac. I want you to inspect our cannons, make sure they are all combat ready. I do not want any of our guns blowing up in the men's faces, afterwards come back to the main deck, I will be making a shipwide address." A contingent of sailors and royal marines arrived at the ship, with her marine commander at their head. The marine commander McRiver stepped onto the deck and went into his room. When the time came he would assemble on deck with the rest of the crew. Julia directed the men to the crew quarters below deck. |
| John Cormac "Yes, ma'am." He went off to inspect the cannons to make sure there were no issues. |
|
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia smiled, pleased with the crew's progress. At this rate, they would be ready to sail before the end of the day. |
| Ace had been checking the lower decks then he back back to the upper deck and began checking the wheel if it was slightly rusted by simply yet softly moving it just a small bit then softly moving it back then he climbed up the ropes to check the sails |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia smiled as her quartermaster checked the ship, he seemed to be throwing himself into the task, and not missing a single detail. She nodded satisfied he was doing what he should be. She expected nothing less from him. |
| John Cormac He returned to the Captain. "The cannons are all in order, Captain." He reported. |

| Ace now climbed higher to make sure nothing was wrong with the flag |
| [b]Julia[/b] She nodded. "Excellent Master Gunner, I expect nothing less from you. Now, take a small squad of men, and supervise them loading our guns with a blank broadside. I want all eighty guns to be fired in salute when we leave port. Afterwards take your men and assemble on deck, I will be addressing the crew." |
| John Cormac "I'll get right to it, Captain." He said He walked off, assembling a few men to load the cannons with blanks. |
|
| After observing the flag for any stray thread he climbed down then walked to Julia "everything on the ship is perfect" Ace said to her |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia turned towards her quartermaster. "Excellent, now assemble the crew in the crew quarters on deck, i'll begin my address to them shortly." |
| John Cormac He returns with the group of men he gathered "All cannons loaded and ready, Captain." |
|
| "As you wish" Ace said as he went to the lower decks and got the crew up out of their quarters them after a few minutes of Getting then ready he came back to the upper deck with the crew following behind him |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia jumped onto the railing of the ship and looked at the assembled men. She shouted at them in a very commanding voice. "All crew fall in and stand at attention!" |
| The crew men did as said and Ace had taken his hat off after getting in position |
| John Cormac He got into position, his arms crossed behind his back formally. |
|
| [b]Julia[/b] She jumped off the railing, inspecting each and every one of the assembled soldiers. Satisfied she nodded then jump back onto the rail. "At ease sailors, at ease." |
| The men did as said and Ace calmly put his hat on |
| John Cormac He uncrossed his arms. |
|
| [b]Julia[/b] She paced the railing, looking at her crew with hawk like intensity, then she spoke, in the awe inspiring voice that had gotten her the nickname of the royal right hand. "Gentlemen,it has come to the knowledge of the royal family, that some of our sea lanes, have been beset upon by pirates. These pirates, kill, capture, and plunder our fellow country men's ships. The murder and kill openly, attacking without letter of marque and not giving quarter. Our rulers, god bless their souls, have ordered us, the crew of the Phoenix, to take our ship of the line, and prevent such actions. They have authorised me, to hang each and every one of the cur I find, and to destroy their ships without mercy. We are to sail to the provinces they are operating in, and kill every last one of them. We will give no quarter to any person flying a black flag, man or woman, such are the Royal families orders. Gentlemen, the ship you now stand upon, is the veteran of six naval battles. She is fast, she is dependable, and she will see us through our campaign. I look at each and evry one of you, and see a man willing and ready to fight. However, if you do not wish to fight this battle, I urge to leave now, as this is no place for those without the will to fight." She stood still, silently looking at all of them, wondering if any would leave. |
| None left and Ace went.to the side of the boat but he wasn't leaving just getting something then he walked to the captain and knelt before her holding up her sword and bowing his head "Your sword" (Dunno if she has her sword so if so ignore that and focus underneath) They all stood none left |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia took the sword, and unsheathed it, holding it in her right hand. "Gentlemen, welcome to the crew of the Phoenix. You have two hours to complete any last will and testament you need to write, and give it to the mail carrier at the docks. After the two hour time limit, we set sail. Write your letters, then get to your stations. God speed gentlemen." With that she swung her sword in a dismissive manor. "Dismissed" She then turned and entered her cabin, not looking to see if they weren't at attention anymore. |
| John Cormac Not having anyone to pass anything onto, he simply returned to his quarters until the ship set sail. |
|
| The men did as was told and Ace remained on deck and he was leaning against the railing "When will I tell her..." he said quietly to himself |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia entered her cabin, then sat down at her desk. She began studying the charts again, anyone who needed to see her just had to knock on the door. |
| Ace kept thinking "should I confess to her now while everything is peaceful or should I do it once were away from land..." he kept asking himself (This decision nags at me to not just the character >.<) |
| (It all depends on what mood he hits her in on how she responds... Could be good, could be bad.....) |
| (Eh screw it) Ace sighed and went to the Julia's quarters and knocked softly on the door he wanted to get what he wanted to say out before they set sail |
| [b]Julia[/b] Julia looked up at the knock. She leaned back in her chair. "Come in." She watched waiting to see who it was. |
| Ace stepped in "Could I have a moment of your time?" He asked politely (Sorry if it's a bit rushed but I'm no good at playing the shy guy) |
| [b]Julia[/b] (It's fine) She nodded and pointed to a seat across from her. "Of course, have a seat. What's on your mind?" |
