Lol, some rage pitching this episode. Go Eijun though. That effort means something so I give him credit for putting a lot of effort into this..

That smile at the end though....classic. That's what I like to see out of him more often.

The conflicted feeling seeing Furuya wearing the ace number :O

It was nice seeing Sawamura getting his personality back a little, the excessive sweating scenes were quite fun! Seeing him back in the bullpen was already good enough even if he still can't throw inside.

The two diverging views of Coach Kataoka and Assistant Coach Ochiai was really interesting. Coach Kataoka having belief to all players and especially to the pitchers, while Ochiai is really pragmatic and wants to focus on Furuya. If anything, it just shows that it is really important for Sawamura to do well in the Fall tournament before Coach Kataoka leaves. Whether they are aiming to win too was quite the question!

Chris-senpai is here!!!

Chris for Coach if Kataoka does leave!!! Hopefully Chris can help Sawamura get back on his feet so he can shut all these haters up and I officially don't like this new coach for what he said about Sawamura. This guy has got to go.

Glad this is a little better episode with the team helping Sawamura and Chris finally showing up! I hope those eye bags disappears under Sawamura's eyes because it is depressing to look at. I miss the wacky Sawamura!

That tension between Miyuki and Kuramochi in the beginning. I like how Kuramochi says that Eijun brings life to the team. He's always so loud and idiotic that when he's not, things just feel different. But I like what Miyuki says even if he contradicts himself. I think he knows that for himself, there's just so much he can try to help with Eijun, but sometimes, it might take other people...like our savior Jesus Chris (you guys so funny XD). It was so long ago how in the beginning, Eijun wanted to pitch to Miyuki, but got Chris instead and looked down upon Chris. Yet that look of on Eijun's face when he heard and saw Chris at the end of the episode, it reminds me of how far Eijun has come to respect Chris. Love the relationship between the two.

Also, Kataoka had a good idea for making Eijun run for a week. Making him run, and then slowly bringing him back in when he saw that Eijun is starting to look forward and thus hasn't given up. Lol at Eijun's face though when he's trying to keep his frustrations inside. He's moving forward bit by bit, and everyone's trying to help him figure it out. Though again, it's obviously Chris who will make a miracle happen.

Ochiai though. Sacrificing the team just to let Furuya get experience? What kind of bullshit idea is that? It's a team sport ffs.

Heh, you guys are better than the guys I saw commenting on MangaHere when this chapter was updated. They were all bashing on Miyuki saying that he's never shown any belief in Sawamura or some bullshit like that. And about coach Ochiai, some things he says makes sense, but I think he's forgetting that putting that much belief and responsibility on a first year is going to destroy him in the long run..... and the team in the short run.

God, that's why I love kantoku so much. He understands that this is a team sport and they shouldn't only pay attention to the ace.
And that ending. When I saw it I cried a little.

LEL But it's so much truth XD Though Eijun was definitely doing better than I thought this ep. Is he finally gonna be going for his control training? I've been waiting!

And no matter what one may say, Furuya totally deserves respect. How he was training all that not being satisfied by 7 innings was BA.

This episode is where the new coach starts being an asshole (come on, it's a school baseball team and the guy doesn't care about the team as a whole lol... at least right now).

Chris-senpai and Sawamura <3 <3 <3 My favourite characters <3 <3 <3

It would be cool if Dia no Ace followed Sawamura's life, after high school. But thinking right now... he is only a 1st year student lol.

Anyway, I wish there was a side series focusing on Chris and his baseball career. Like Major. It would be fucking amaziinnng.

LOLOLOLOL. The lighting was holy, seriously. And Sawamura's expression is like he's just had a revelation! HAHAHA.

The new coach is logical, yes, because ultimately his goal is only to reach nationals and the method doesn't matter. However, Boss values the players more. I hope to see Sawamura recover soon, I didn't realize I missed his stupid, noisy personality. XD

That new coach is a joke... Sacrificing the whole team for a single player? This is the most stupid thing you can do, really.

What if the ace is injured and can't play? What will he do?

"the savior has arrived" is what I thought when Chris appeared at the end and obviously I'm not alone lol

Chris has always been the best at helping Sawamura so it was only a matter of time. And the other coach saying he'd focus mainly on Furuya instead of the team...I'm a little surprised by that since in the beginning he seemed to have a lot of good views regarding the team.

I really don't want that other guy to take over as the coach, Kataoka needs to stay. Sawamura is just going to get sidelined if that guy has his way and Furuya will become too much of a crutch for Seido, which is in desperate need of an overall strong team. I like the little conversation the 3rd years ended up having this episode. It reminded me that even though I miss them, I shouldn't write off the new team just because they aren't strong yet. After all, the 3rd years started out weak as well.

Chris-senpai, our savior, has returned to bring Sawamura back on his feet.

I was seriously happy when I saw Furuya wearing the Ace number, right now he's the one who deserves it the most imo. Kataoka must have a clear idea of what Ochiai intends to do once he takes over coaching right now so I really hope it changes his decision.

Chris-senpai! Hopefully Sawamura will get the push he needs to break through that trauma.

That new coach isn't pragmatic or logical. He's just a damn lazy asshole who would gather all the good players from everywhere into a single team if he could just so he doesn't have to spend time developing the players. He probably got fired from his last job because he's such a bad coach.

His approach seemed silly. Yes it's good to train your ace to become a top player and drive the whole team but then if you make him THAT important, from pitching to batting etc then if he crumbles at a game even a little or he has a bad day then the whole team will be unable to react because it will be so focused on him they wouldn't be able to play without him.
What if he got injured also? Shit happens. The team can't be depended on just one guy.

This assistant coach is the opposite of what Seidou needs. What a douchebag.

Furuya seems to be playing a bit too well and getting a bit too much attention which worries me. Usually when that happens in an anime the character gets screwed over, kinda like what's happened with Sawamura.

Speaking of Sawamura, hope Chris can help him out somehow.
