I mean this game is based a combat book series called Queens Blade. Its basically an expansion off of the Lost Worlds rule set. WTF is a combat book? Basically think of it as a diceless D&D game. Kind of hard to explain unless you read the ruleset(pdf). There are 19 books in this series and are all characters are represented in this anime.

If you look at all the illustrations from the combat books the anime is pretty much an accurate representation of the Queens Blade universe. The following is not safe for work:

Like any obscure anime, you have to watch it with an open mind and decide if you enjoy it or not. Considering the obvious ecchi situations, and content matter of illustrations in the combat book series, it's going to appear off the wall crazy. To those who know absolutely nothing about the PnP game.

I just couldn't sit through oppai that big. They were like...like...fucking pick up truck oppai. Normally anime like that don't bother me but you can't want me to take you seriously like that.

Only thing wrong with it is that BayTSP is targeting people downloading it, so I haven't been able to check it out. :(

what a very thought provoking and informative argument... i'll stop watching this show right away *facepalms*

And isnt it ironic how anime fanatics make fun of other peoples hobbies like pen and paper games? When will we stop this nerd on nerd violence!

It's not that hard to believe.

Queen's Blade has been selling merchandise like crazy and legions of fans have been made. A second season is the next logical decision.

I take every anime I watch seriously. I don't expect a plot for EVERYTHING, just something that keeps me coming back. Frankly, if it was a hentai I would have understood, but it was just an ecchi.

Then you're doing it wrong. Shows that are supposed to be mindless or fun are meant to be watched as so.

I haven't encountered an anime that didn't take seriously and didn't like. i.e. Detroit Metal City, Puni Puni Poemy

I think Queen's Blade is the only exception.

Yeah it even pokes fun of the basic Lost Worlds rules of fighting like how Nanael (aka GM, Game Master, Referee) keeps screwing up and stuff. And how the some opponents never really engage in combat etc etc
