Because Sean requested it, I have moved it. Introduction: In this RP you will play as a human with certain powers that will continue to grow as the RP progresses, though I as admin of this RP will tell you when you get your boost. It takes place in a large metropolitan area about the size of NYC, and if an area is destoryed by a PC then it remains destoryed and will not come back, keep that in mind as you're throwing your powers around. Each of the characters have recieved their powers through a mutation, genetic experimentation, etc. but no magic. (Chase that means you!) Please try to have an interesting and halfway reasonable backstory worked out when you create your character, I don't mind the whole amnesia thing as long as you've already worked out exactly what their backstory is. Also each character needs to have some sort of objective in mind, like say tracking down who did the experimentation to you or killing another PC. I don't really care but you need to have some sort of objective listed on your character sheet. You must also have an alignment: Good, Evil, Neutral, etc. and you must follow that alignment the entire game, unless something cataclysmic happens to your character and you consult me about the change. That means that if you choose evil, while you can be good in some cases, most of the time you'll be killing people and eating babies. If you're good, you will not do any baby eating or anything else similar. Got it? Finally, although this game is called Godlike, NO GODMODDING!!!! (Lee that means you.) Each power must have some sort of weakness and if the need be I will dumb down your character's power or increase another character's in order to keep the playing field level. Remember that as you're creating your character. Basic Rules: -1. No massive truces against one PC. -2. During combat between PCs, one player can write what the other's PC does in their post in order to speed up the game's progress, you must take turns and give them time to reply to ensure a fair fight. -3. Any player who does not reply in a week's time, without a valid excuse presented to the admin, will have their character killed in game according to the admin's wishes. -4. No Godmodding. -5. You must play your alignment. -6. Any changes to your character must go through the admin. -7. Admin's (mine) decisions are final. -Powers: Okay, some powers are just unfair to other players and therefore you cannot use them to their full extent, if you still want to use them you must dumb them down quite a bit, like say mind control. If you want to use mind control, then you might have it to where you can only make them forget things for a couple minutes, enough time to allow your character to escape, nothing more. You cannot have them leap off a cliff to their death or rip their own throat out. A relatively compiled list of unfair powers is presented below but the unfair powers are not only limited to these: -Mind Control -Invulnerability -Making People Explode -Regeneration -Phasing (Specifically through human flesh.) -Long Distance Teleportation (Over 250 meters.) -Making Minions of Any Type (You will get followers, but I will specify when.) Those were the only ones I could think of off the top of my head but I'm sure there are more. Just use your best judgement or ask me. If not, I'll tell you if I think it's an unfair advantage. -Elemental Powers: These are sort of weird because if your character controls fire, you have a lot of things that you can do with fire. So to help limit abilities of this type, if you do have elemental abilities, anything that would affect that power under normal conditions, still applies to your powers. Say you have fire: water will put it out, a hard enough wind will put it out, it can be smothered, if your character steps into a room full of fumes it will explode. This applies to all elemental powers and anything your character does must involve this power in some way, so just because you have fire, doesn't mean that you also have the ability to fly. Each player starts out with two regular powers, like flight or super strength, or one elemental power, like control of electricity or fire. Gameplay: Each of you will start inside the city in the location described by your backstory and as far as you know, you are the only person in the city with any sort of power until you run into another PC or the after effects of their powers, like say a man who has been strangled with a telephone pole. Until that point, you are just trying to complete your objective. As you play I will throw various obstacles in your way such as: gang violence, suicide attempts, robberies, arson, wounded people, and other small things at first. Later on, larger events will happen like the coming of the army and NPCs with powers who will be played by me. How you handle the situation depends on what your alignment is. If you're evil, you might assist the robber whereas if you're good you'll stop them, if you're neutral you can do either or just walk away. But be aware, if you are neutral and do waaay more evil things than good things, I will change your alignment to evil. So please try to play your alignment. That's about it, I'll post a character sheet up so you can look off it. If you have any questions just ask me here or PM me. I tried to be as descriptive as I could, but I'm tired and it probably shows in my writing. |

History: Sol had always shown potential for a new step in human evolution since he was born. Since his father worked for the government, certain branches began to take notice of his skills. He was taken into a test facility, and, during experiments, was able to boost his mitochondrial manipulation. Alignment: Neutral Main Objective: To move his powers to the upmost extent Other: Will fight anybody |

Name: Born with the name Simon Bolivar Pace, [Simon Bolivar being a reference, by his mother, to the South American Revolutionary General by the same name and Pace being his fathers given surname] his abilities have earned him the nickname "Hectic Pace." Most people just call him Hectic. Age: 26 Desription: 5'10" 178 lbs. Mesy dark brown hair. Obviously his apparel changes from day to day, but he almost always a World War II style military flak jacket, which is packed with several different makes and models of knives, which he uses in conjunction with his powers. Powers: Super-human speed. And super-human coordination/dexterity. Hectic trains daily in a local gym, so he has strength that is above average, but not super-human[not a "power"], and has learned to control his powers so that they manifest themselves as a super-human fighting ability, both hand-to-hand, and with bladed weapons. He also studies intensely, and has an IQ well above average, though not super-human [not a "power"], which includes a full knowledge of all weapons, bladed and otherwise. History: Growing up in Western Europe [Ireland, or similar], Hectic was a 4.0 student from pre-school through high school, and was on his school track team, as well as a multitude of sports. He was accepted into the top military academy in England straight out of high school. After a four year term there, he graduated top of his class and was approached by the English government to be part of a secret military organization. Hectic assumed it would be MI6, and had always wanted to be a prt of that organization, so he joined right away. He didn't expect, however, that he was actually chosen to be a test subject for a real-world "super soldier serum." The serum did it's job and enhanced all of his natural abilities: Speed, Intelligence, Coordination, Strength, Dexterity. What it didn't do, though, was its intended purpose, to make him invincible. The government deemed the project a failure and shut it down. Hectic was given a severance payment, and told that he must move to America to escape government persecution. He moved to [this city] and found an apartment he could afford with his severance check, which, as one might expect, was in a bit of a slum building. For the past two years, he's been living here, and has now spent most of his severance pay on alcohol. He is, by no means, the straight-edge kid he used to be, but is now a haggard-looking alcoholic of a man who describes himself to all of the people down at the local bar simply as "ex-military." Though, it must be said, that the serum stops the alcohol from affecting him negatively like it does regular people. He just likes to drink. Alignment: Neutral. Though he does deeds both good and bad, neither one is a constant, and the decision really depends entirely on his mood. Main Objective: He doesn't have one. He's a loner and a "drunk." He's never turned down a fight, but he doesn't go looking for them. He has often comtemplated suicide, but simply doesn't do it. Based on laziness more than a desire to live. Other: His knowledge of weapons does extend to guns, he just prefers bladed weapons. He's always had a thing for swords and knives, and he doesn't know why. But don't think that counts him out of a long range fight. He's an expert knife thrower, and also carries several Speznas-issue "ballistic knives" which can fire their blades at a range comparable to knife throwing, but at a much faster speed. Well, faster for normal people. |

@LoganChrist: Okay, two minor problems with your character that can be easily remedied: First of all, he really needs to have an objective of some kind, it really plays into the whole story thing. Also, if you intend to have your powers evolve, there's a good chance it will occur when you reach your objective. Just telling you now, I guess you don't necessarily have to have an objective but it would be much nicer and easi er on me if you did. Second, this really isn't a problem but rather just a checkup, you do realize that even being an expert in throwing knives does not at all make you lethat with them, correct? Throwing knives are generally only wounding weapons at best and sometimes even less depending on how far away the target is. That said, the Speznas issue can be lethal at about thirty meters or less. |

My PC, who will act as an NPC: Name: Unknown, codenamed Thanatos Age: Unknown, believed to be in mid-twenties. Description: Just over six feet tall, an albino with spiked white hair and red eyes. His body is covered in a leather jumpsuit like outfit, with chains, weights, and leather bands wrapped all around him, these were used in a failed attempt to restrain him. Covering half his face is a combination of an oxygen mask and a muzzle. His arms are bound together in front of him as are his legs. He has black feathered wings that sprout from his shoulder blades. Covering his forearms are long strands of razorwire that end in a sharpened weighted point. Powers: Metal Manipulation. (Only when physically touching a metal object.) And flight, if he didn't have so much weight on him. However, in his restraints his wings can't support him. Also, he can move normally with the weighted restraints so when they come off, he is very powerful, not super-humanly powerful but Strong Man contest powerful. (The problem is getting the restraints off.) History: Thanatos was an underground government operation to create a type of super soldier who just by himself could take on a full blown army, which was exactly the problem. They created a creature who could break through any sort of defense mechanisms they had of keeping him inside. After tearing through his prison, he continued onward until he came upon a large metropolis. People who saw him ran in fear but as long as no one bothered him, he wouldn't bother them. Unless, of course, they knew something about who he was and what had happened to him. Alignment: Neutral Evil. Although capable of doing good, he generally looks out only for number one. Objective: His main objective is to find out who he was before the project and for what purpose he was changed, using any means necessary. Anyone standing in his way, he will tear apart. Other: Like I said, he controls metal as long as he's touching it. That means that the weighted strands of razor wire on his forearms, are whirling death machine during a fight. Anyone who comes withing five meters of him will be torn apart. But that's not all, he can make a car turn into a giant stake, melt through solid metal, etc. Even manipulate his razorwire into a weapon resembling a giant scythe. (Yes, I realize he's a bit more powerful than your characters, but although I'm playing him, he will mainly act as an NPC for the majority of the game, at least until you guys get enough power to catch up to him. Don't worry, if you get in a fight with him, I will make sure he will not kill you, so although he is more powerful, I'm balancing him out with your characters.) |

FALLEN101: Thanks for the critique, I'm new to this whole thing. I'll address your concerns one at a time. 1. Consider my objective to be a basic survival instinct. I'd assume that once the RP starts there will be encounters between Hectic and some of the other PCs as well as NPC's, therefore I think a rewards system could be devised to accomodate Hectic on the outcomes of those encounters rather than upon reaching any pre-specified objective. 2. Being a kind of amateur weapons "expert" myself, I can assure you that knife throwing is a lethal attack. Consider, for example, how U.S. special forces are trained; The chief instructor goes by the name Snake Blocker and is a full blooded Apache indian, who has a full knowledge of Apache fighting tactics, both hand-to-hand, and blade based. Assume Hectic has comparable abilities, and don't doubt the lethality of a well placed knife to the throat. Being someone who has a history in studying both weapons, and fighting, I can promise I know what I'm talking about. |

1. There will be a sort of rewards system, besides the whole, "I kicked your character's ass" gloating that will surely follow. But the objective is really there for me, the admin, to see in what direction you want your character to head. You know whether it's to save the city, or destroy it, make money, kill people, save soemone, etc. But it also will help define who your character is and help point you in the direction when having trouble deciding between several choices. As for right now, your survival instinct will work but hopefully later in the game you will find a much more concrete objective to shoot for. Speaking of which: ALL PLAYERS: You can change your character's objective as the game progresses. Sorry about that, I don't think I mentioned anything like that in the rules. But yeah, if you do come up with some sort of objective for your character, besides pulling the whole Big Lebowski thing, then just tell me, and you can change it. For right now though, it works. 2. I realize that a knife to the throat is a lethal strike, hands down, and I also know your character is well trained in the use of such weapons and has super human speed with which to throw the weapons. However, throwing knives are really only lethal if they get a throat shot or are long enough, and thrown with enough strength, to pierce another major organ or artery. Otherwise, they're just wounding weapons. I know you know what you're talking about, but so do I, even with such power, I'd say that the throwing knives would only be a lethal killing blow about 50% of the time, probably less. Espiecially if the target is moving. That being said, if you do manage to hit an organ like the stomach or liver, they will most likely die if they do not recieve medical attention in a reasonable amount of time, however I do not consider that a lethal blow but instead a wounding blow. Do that enough and they won't be moving very far but it's still not lethal. I'm not trying to be difficult or anything, really I'm not, I'm just trying to make this fair for the other PCs that you might fight. I don't know, just when you get in a fight with another PC don't pull a god-mod and say, 'I just threw a knife through your throat, your character has less than five minutes left to live,' or something like that. I doubt you would but, after Lee's shit in one of our RPs, I can't help but be cautious. |

1. Fair enough. I'll keep in mind the option to form a concrete objective. I just can't think of one that fits Hectic's character. 2. Obviously there are blows that aren't lethal. I understand that, and believe me, I'm not going to pull anything Lee-esque, I leave Hectic completely open to miss a throw, or to land one that isn't lethal. |

(I'm going first person) Zack:Light flushed into my eyes. I was in a hotel room. By the looks of it expensive. What had happened? Memories flashed back. An old man in an alleyway, being assaulted, and then nothing. My brain exploded in pain. Electricity flooded into my fingertips. Someone was screaming off in the distance. All the lights went out. Lightning streamed out of my fingers into the door handle, which exploded. I stumbled out of the room groggily. Lightning flowed from all electrical appliances as I walked by. It was snowing outside. How long had I been out. A newspaper passed by and I picked it up. It's December. 3 months had passed. I staggered, my vision began blurring. I went into the closest alleyway and passed out. |

Sol's feet landed onto the hard concrete of the road from his jumping position from the helicopter. He looked up to the men in the chopper and gave a small nod. They responded with a nod also, and the helicopter began to rise, and eventually left the Metropolis area. Sol looked forwards, brushing the hair out of his face, and began to dart his eyes around. They had dropped him in a seemingly abandoned part of the city, though there were many buildings, cars, and other signs of a normal urban life. But there was no human interaction around to verify that anyone actually lived here. Sol made the assumption that this was an area flagged of for the fighting. He smiled at the notion. Apparently, this was going to be a much bigger battle than he could have imagined. Sol shoved his hands into his pockets. Out of his left, he drew a lighter, and a pack of cigarretes from the other. He popped a cigarette into his mouth and lit it, putting his lighter and pack back into their individual pockets. He took a long drag from the tobacco stick, then took it out between his fingers and slowly let the smoke pour out of his nose and mouth. Yet again, he looked in all directions, and, of course, still saw no one. He sighed. Maybe this was a good time for a quick warm-up. Sol put the cig back into his mouth firmly, and clenched his right fist tight. He closed his eyes for concentration. He imagined his cell's mitochondrian pushing out 5 times normal energy. He could go up to 20x by now at max, but he didn't want to try something that tasking immediatly. Once he felt the heat of the energy in his fist and up into his shoulder muscles, Sol quickly bent down on one knee and slammed his fist into the pavement. As expected, the concrete cracked in a lightning-shaped line about 50 yards out in front of Sol's fist, and caused a shockwave 20 yards out to each side, which was about the length to the buildings on each side, meaning the bottoms of the giants began to crack and crumble. Sol stood back up, shaking off dust and pebbles from his gloved hand, and gave a satisfactory smile at himself. "Decent..." he spoke. Now that he was sure he was ready for a battle, if he ever needed it any time soon, he began walking down the street, following his trail of destruction, towards the more populated parts of the city. |

((Sorry I wasn't on earlier, I should've been the first to post up a comment. Oh well.)) Here's the semi-random occurances in the city as of right now: Zack: When you come too in the alleyway, you'll see a man trying to rape a girl. You have the choice of helping her, raping her yourself, or walking away. (And any other variations on this theme that I didn't bother to write down.) Remember, every decision you will make will effect your alignment somehow and alignment will change what sort of situations you will have, and what powers you'll get, etc. Sean: You'll come across a man who's standing on top of a skyscraper and about to attempt suicide. You have the choice of stopping him, saving him after he jumps, letting him jump and die, or walking away. (And any other variants.) As I said before, each choice reflects your alignment and therefore the situations you encounter and powers later in the game. Logan: Yeah, since you haven't posted yet I don't have one for you. I'll wait until after you post and I'll tell you then. As for my character, I'll do a post for him later. Mainly I just want to admin for a while but I'll bring him in eventually. Like I said, as of right now he's stronger than your characters so I'm going to wait until you guys get leveled up a little bit before I really break him out. Also, eventually I'll bring in important/semi-important NPCs that might be recurring, depending on whether or not you kill them. I'll tell you when they come in as well. Good luck! |

As Sol walked down the abandoned street, he lazily rolled his head around, taking in the views, and slowly letting his cigarette burn in his lips. Then something out of the ordinary caught his eye. Atop one of the many skyscrapers, there was a shadow jutting out of the top of it. That in itself wasn't out of the usual, for there were many objects on the roofs of these buildings, but this one happened to be shaped like a man. Sol stopped in his tracks, and simply raised an eyebrow. He stared up at the man for a few moments, then reached up and took the cigarette out of his mouth, flicking the ash off of the end. He took in a deep breath and yelled upwards, "Hey, you!! Yes you, on the roof!! What the hell are you doing, exactly?" The man had had one foot off of the ledge, but suddenly pulled it back when he heard the man's voice. He peeked over the edge and saw Sol standing there, looking puzzled but not alarmed or concerned for him. The man was on the verge of collapsing into tears. "There's nothing left in this shithole! There's no reason to live anymore! I can't get a job, I can't get money, I can't get food...nobody wants me around! No one pays any attention to me unless I'm annoying them for something! No one's ever loved me...I've never amounted to shit! I'm worse than the shit in these sewers!" With that, he took a step forwards, letting himself ragdoll down towards the cold, hard pavement of sweet relief. Sol sighed. He hated doing favors. Especially for strangers. He gathered up the energy in his leg muscles, up to about 7x, and then shot towards the building, quickly running in a b-line up the windows towards the falling man, a cracking line of destruction behind him. At about the 30th floor, halfway down the building, Sol caught up to the man and grabbed him by the shirt, and, instead of running back up to the roof, threw him into one of the rooms guarded by an easily-broken window. Sol quickly made a u-turn and ran into the same room. The man was on the floor, quite confused about where he is and how he got there, but before he had time to react, Sol grabbed him by the collar and lifted him up, glaring into his eyes. "You listen to me, you piece of shit! Get your fucking act together! Boo-hoo, you can't get a fucking job. Steal if you ahve to, goddamnit! Do what it takes to survive! Make yourself known, and people will stand down for you! Now, find your own way out of this place that's not the fucking window or roof, you shit!" And with that, he let the man fall onto the old, moldy carpeted floor of the abandoned building. He walked to the open shattered window and jumped out, landing with a new crater under his feet safely on the ground. He straightened himself up, dusted himself off, and straightened his coat. Lighting a new cigarette, Sol began to walk down the street again, waiting for a fight. |

Zack:As I walked into an alleyway, I saw a girl being followed by a large burly man. My vision was blurring. What should I do. I couldn't fight this guy, but maybe... Electricity buzzed at my fingertips as the electricity pushed adrenaline into my veins, waking me up instantly. My vision didn't stop blurring, I had to stop him. The burly giant growled. "Get the fuck out of here asshole." The girl screamed. I was two steps away from the fucker. I looked up at him and thought about what type of life he had lived through to come to this point. Then I said the last three words he would ever hear,"GO TO HELL!" Then I grabbed his face and let the lightning fly. Finally the blackness that had been closing in won, letting gravity take me to the snow. |

Hectic listlessly rolled off of the futon. His feet hit the floor, heavy with exhaustion. He couldn't remember the last time he slept. A by-product of the serum. He grabbed a bottle, of what, he didn't know, took a mouthful, and decided it was time to head out. He made a habit of walking outside in the winter. The serum heated his blood, and he was always uncomfortable outside in the warmer months. His air conditioning bill was through the roof. He grabbed his jacket, his arm tightening to lift it, weighted by its contents. As Hectic left his apartment building, he noticed it was quiet out. No annoying teenagers at the franchise coffee bar, no homeless gathered around the cliche flaming barrels. He didn't think much of it. He reached into his jacket, piercing the tip of his finger on the hawkbill fixed blade he had in his left breat pocket. "Ow, damnit." He muttered into the wind as he found the shape of his flask. |

Okay here's what's happened/going to happen: Zach: One question, did you kill the rapist because if you did, your alignment doesn't take any sort of change at all. If you didn't, then it will become slightly more good. Also, when your character comes to, the girl you saved is standing over you. (And please try to be more specific and seperate out paragraphs.) You have gotten 5XP. (More on that later in this post) Sean: For saving the man your alignment has become slightly better, one point good. (More on that later in this post.) It would've been more but since you cussed him out, I decided it was more of a neutral move than a good move. You have also gained 5XP. Logan: Whenever you go to get more booze, the liquor store you go to will have a robbery taking place. The man robbing the store will have a 9mm on him, and yes it's loaded. You have the choice of stopping him, helping him, or ignoring him, your call. (Or whatever other variants there are.) So yeah, that's the scenario you're coming up on. As for the XP, I will keep track of how many points you have. It takes 50 to earn a new power but I'll talk more about that when we get there. As for the Alignment, it takes 15 points good or bad to change an alignment. So if you're neutral and you get 15 good points, you become Neutral Good. If you're Neutral Good and get 15 more good points you become Good. Like I said earlier, alignment will change the powers you will be able to choose from later in the game. (Good people don't have the power to make someone's head explode, duh.) Keep that in mind. XP Ratings: Zach: 5 Sean: 5 Logan: 0 (But will get some soon) Next level: 50 Almost forgot, Alignment: Sean: 1 Good. Zach: 0 Logan: 0 Alignment Change: 15 either way Good luck! |

Hectic turned right at the end of the block. Finding his flask empty changed his route. He decided to head to the nearest liquor store to get a refill. He let out a puff of breath and watched it float into the air before he turned into the shop. "You! Ground!" Hectic took a few seconds to let his eyes adjust to the dim light of the inside of the store. He took in the barrel of the gun, and the ski mask. He took in the clerk, wide-eyed with terror behind the counter. "Hahahahaha" "What the fuck are you laughing at?!" "You just do not want to do this." "I said get on the fucking ground!" "No. Listen, if you're going to rob the store, get it over with. I'm just here for myself. Hell, I just walked in here. Take the forty bucks he keeps in the register, and then get out of my way. I'm not looking for a fight." "One more chance motherfucker, get down!" The criminals finger fell from the side of the gun to the trigger guard. Hectic saw this. Hectic reached into his coat faster than the burglars eyes could follow, landing on a tacticial folder he kept nestled in the change pocket. A ti-lite. Lines echoing the switch blades of the fifties, inspired by classic stilettos. He clicked the blad out from between the liners. As the bullet left the end of the gun, Hectic spun to the side and lunged forward. The blade slammed into the soft spot on the indise of the crooks kneecap, severing the tendon. The criminal collapsed onto the floor, bleeding and writhing in agony. Hectic stepped up and kicked the gun away, watching it ricochet off the bottom of a rack of wine bottles. "If you're going to call the cops, do it after you ring me up." |

Zack:I woke to a flash of bright lights in a room I had never seen before. It was a cozy warm room, with bright furniture that lit up the room. I was laying on one of the three couches in the room, covered by numerous blankets. It appeared as though I was in a cellar, because the window led out to ground level. Someone walked down from what sounded like stairs. I stayed as still as possible, and the women I had saved last night walked right by. She put down a tray on a table right near the couch, and then turned to check on me. "You're awake," she said, "I thought you were going to die. You were ice cold when I brought you back here." "I feel fine,"I said. "No, you need to drink this." she said while grabbing a bowl of soup and forcing the soup down my throat. "My name is Alexandra, call if you have any problems." |

Zack:Several hours later I woke up, and looked on the table. There was a note that said 'Went to store. Shower is upstairs to the right, borrowed some clothes from a friend for you. Make yourself at home. Alex' I got up and walked upstairs into a bright yellow kitchen. I opened the fridge and pulled out a cola. Upon chugging the cola down, I decided that I needed a shower and went to find it. That took about two minutes. The shower felt heavenly. Electricity tingled off my fingers and from my body as I was in the water, which begged the question; why wasn't I dying from electrical shock. Pondering that I finished my shower and put on the clothes that she had left me, which included jeans, boxers and t-shirt. Then a thought came to me, the electricity came from me thus it couldn't shock me. So I went and sat in the kitchen and waited for Alex. |

Sorry for the late entry but here is my character sheet. Name: Dart Age: 25 Description: 5’ 10”, of average build with, with red hair. Clothing changes from day to day but is always some sort of blue soccer shirt with athletic pants (don't know exactly how to describe it). Blue eyes. Power: ability to manipulate the mass in his body to give strength to any part or parts of his body such as strength to his arms to punch harder or lift heavier things, or for example, to his legs to make himself faster. Can also make weapons out of himself, but he is not very good at this and so far can only manage to sharpen one of his arms into a blade. History: As a result of genetic experimentation Dart was given his power. He does not remember anything except for his name and that he has family out there somewhere. After the experimentation he decided he would find this family but not because he cares for them but because he wants to know more about himself. The experiment turned him into the sort of person who enjoys causing pain to others. Alignment: Neutral evil Objective: find out who he is while getting as strong as possible. |

Dart awoke like he would have on any other morning, he walked through the house he was currently staying in hoping that nobody would miss the previous owner. He liked the house and did not want to have to leave it quite yet. He got some food out of the man’s pantry and started to cook himself breakfast. He had been starving lately and had to eat something. After he finished eating he threw the dishes in the sink, there was no use in washing them because he probably wouldn’t be living there for very long. He decided to go outside and simply go for a walk before he started to search for his family again. |

Hectic exited the liquor store, bottle in hand, filling his flask. It was a small bottle, so it filled the flask with no excess. He sucked the liquid from around the rim of the bottle and tossed it haphazardly into the nearest alley. He took a sip from the flask, and put it back into his pocket, being careful, this time, to avoid all of the blades. Hectic continued his walk up two more blocks, and right two blocks, and turned to his right again, to begin his way back home. |

Okay, you've passed the easy part with flying colors ... well, everyone except BB because he wasn't here, but now it's time to make things a little more interesting. The next scenarios that come your way will most likely involve either an important NPC, one that might even have powers, or another PC. So bear that in mind. Zach: I don't really know what you're going to do since you're camped out at the chick's house right now. I'll have to wait until you leave ... no, just kidding. The girl who saved your life is like you and has powers, here's the NPC sheet: Name: Alexandra 'Alex' Mackintire Age: 21 Desciption: I'll let you do that Shrub cause I'm too damn lazy. Power: Phasing through inantimate objects, such as walls and such. Not people, however. Also the ability to make objects phase through her, like when a knife or soemthing hits her, it just goes out the other side. History: Yeah, you get to do that Shrub. Alignment: Good. Objective: .......Yep, you get to figure it out here too Shrub. Have fun! Sean: You are going to have a run in with my PC Thanatos. There's no need to worry about him killing you right off, he's going to have his hands full, for a little while anyway, because a group of gangbangers is trying to fuck him up. You can either help him out, stand back, or help out the gangbangers, or any other variant of that. Though I must warn you, if you help the gangbangers, Thantos is much stronger than you but I promise that I will not let him kill you so that way you don't have to worry too much about the decision you make. Logan and BB: You both are going to be walking along the sidewalk when you see a police car flash after a black sedan. The driver of the black sedan has kidnapped a young girl and is gradually losing the police through the traffic. You can either help the police out, help the sedan out, ignore, fight amongst yourselves, etc. I don't really care but it will affect your alignment. Have fun! Oh, and Sean after you type up your reply, I'll give my character's reply on this. |

After about another half hour of walking, Sol finally started to see living people. The streets and sidewalks slowly began to get more populated, and the crowds became thicker. Sol found himself having to shove his way through the throngs at some points. After a few minutes, though, the crowd began to pan out a bit. Soon there were only a few people crossing past him every few minutes. As he began to approach an alleyway, he heard loud, obnoxious voices. They seemeed to be taunting somebody, laughing, and he soon heard the sounds of punching and hitting. He made no rush to help, but when he got to the opening of the alley, Sol peeked in. He saw a group of "touch-looking gangsters" taking their turns beating up some form in the middle of their circle. Sol narrowed his eyes. He was nonchalant about a lot of things, and had neutral feelings towards a lot of things, but he hated people who thought they were strong by ganging up on one defensless person. Sol walked up the the closest man and tapped him on the shoulder. When he turned around, Solm wasted no time and gave him a quick punch to the face, which broke the man's nose, 4 upper teeth, and partially his left cheeckbone. The other members quickly turned their attention from their previous target on to Sol, and began to rush him. Sol closed his eyes and concentrated. About 10x, he would need. Gathering up the energy in his arms and legs, and the last moment, Sol began to unleash a flurry of attacks, punches kicks, twirling through the air, landing blow after blow on the gansters. Soon, 7 out of the 9 were down. Sol landed a bit bent over, and when he slowly stood back up and glared at the remaining men, they quickly let out a squeel and ran out of the alley, leaving their supposed-comrades behind. Sol didn't bother to wonder about them, and instead walked over to the victim of the whole thing. Putting a new cigarette in his mouth, Sol raised an eyebrow. "You ok?" |

Dart was walking down the street when his walk was interrupted by the police chasing a black sedan. He hated the sound made by the police sirens and wanted to stop it. He knew there were two ways he could bring the noise to an end, he could destroy the police car, or capture the sedan. He immediately began to reshape his body for what he needed to do. He took mass away from his left arm to make his legs stronger, and sent some to his right arm to strengthen it, while reshaping it into a sword. He took off after the two cars. They were fast, but he was faster now. He decided to go after the police car. He sprinted behind it and finally caught up to it. The policeman’s face was priceless. Dart took a huge leap and raised his sword to try to cut the police car in two. |

Zack: Where was Alexandra!? It's been an hour and no one has showed up yet. Then a gunshot rang outside the house, along with a girl screaming. I rushed out the door, following the screams. Closer, and closer until I saw Alex being attacked by 6 drugee's. Without even thinking, lightning whipped from my fingers hitting two of the drugee's straight in the face, making their heads explode. Then I ran grabbed the closest drugee, by the throat and shocking him into convulsions. Dropping him I turned to the other three, who despite having delayed reactions, all had guns pulled out. They had completely forgot Alex, who just so happened to have a tazer, and just so happened to be behind the middle drugee. She tazered the middle drugee while I hit the other two in the stomachs, killing them. Alex ran over to me, and I asked, "Are you alright?" "Yeah, I'm fine." she said. Then the tazered drugee, in my peripheral vision, raised the pistol. BANG!! Instantly I surged electricity through the final drugee. "Are you okay, Alex?" I said. Then I noticed a hole ripped in her shirt. "What happened?" "The bullet went through my body," she said nonchalant. "Oh yeah, I didn't tell you I have powers to." "We will talk about this on the way back to your house." I said. |

As Hectic turned the final corner on his route home, a flash blinded him for a moment. A car squeeled around the corner, flying towards him on the sidewalk. Hectic didn't have much time to react, he had no idea who was in the car, all he knew was that whoever it was, they were targeting him. The government? It was a black sedan... But then the cops flew onto the street, obviously in pursuit. At the last second, Hectic channeled his concentration, and leapt into the air. He landed clumsily atop the sedan, but didn't fall. He reached into his jacket and produced a tanto. One of his favorites. 1060 high carbon steel. Solid enough to be used for offense or defense, but not hard enough to be brittle. He plamed the handle, and wiped the blade on his pant leg. He figured it was better to be safe than sorry. The strangest thing, Hectic thought, he thought he could hear footsteps. He turned to see a man sprinting behind the police, keeping pace with the vehicles. What the hell? Another super soldier? It almost had to be. And it looked like he was carrying a sword too. |

Name: Alexandra 'Alex' Mackintire Age: 21 Desciption: Brunette-blond hair, 5'3, usually wears jeans and a t-shirt, slim Power: Phasing through inantimate objects, such as walls and such. Not people, however. Also the ability to make objects phase through her, like when a knife or soemthing hits her, it just goes out the other side. History: Has had powers her whole life. Picked up by the government at the age of 12, so she is trained in every use of her power. She knows a couple other people with powers so thats why she was so nonchalant. She escaped alone about two years ago from the agency(unknown). Alignment: Good. Objective: Staying under the radar, protecting Zack |

Sean: The NPC you saved: Name: Johnny Domino Age: 28 Description: Wears a leather jacket and black jeans with a white T-shirt. His skin is quite pale and he has black hair and dark brown eyes, unless you're very close to them they look black. Power: Playing with probability, unconsciously. Think the Butterfly Effect, the flap of a butterfly's wings can cause a hurricane, well, his is similar. By adjusting tiny little things around him he can make larger things happen. Say he jumps from the top of a building, he can make it likely that there's going to be a truck with soft things to land on so he doesn't hurt himself. Or say if he's being attacked, he can make it likely that one of the people with a history of heart disease suffers a heart attack. You'll understand eventually. Let's just say that at first glance he appears to be ridiculously lucky but it really has nothing to do with luck at all, rather his body sends out a ... for lack of a better word 'pulse' that changes things to be to his advantage. Like let's say a guy pulls a gun on him, likely, the man would've forgotten to take off the safety so when he pulled the trigger nothing would happen, or the gun might backfire, or something else. Of course, not all things work in Johnny's favor, the gun might very well go off, there's just a good chance that it wouldn't. So really, his power it playing the odds and stretching them to their breaking point. History: I leave that up to you Sean. Alignment: Neutral Good Objective: Finding a girl named Susan McPherson. (I'll let you know why later.) |

((Sorry for the late reply, internet has been down at my house. Fuck Wow!)) Johnny Domino: They had asked for his money and when he told them, truthfully, that he didn't have any they didn't believe him. The half dozen of them put up their fists and there wasn't much Johnny could do to stop them. Okay, let's not sugar coat it: he got the shit beaten out of him. However, as is to be expected if you're a person like Johnny Domino, someone very strong showed up to take them all down. Someone unnaturally strong. He threw the people aside and broke their faces, making them scramble away bleeding and broken. When they were gone he lit a cigarette and asked if Johnny was okay. "'Okay' isn't quite the word I would use," replied Johnny rubbing his face. He could feel the slight swell and tenderness around his left eye and knew it would be ringed in black before the day was over. "I mean, I guess I'm better now than I was when they were kicking me on the ground, thanks to you, but not really okay. More like, recovering from getting the shit beaten out of me." The guy muttered something around his cigarette that Johnny didn't quite catch so Johnny pretended like he heard, "Yeah well, I'll be fine. I'll still be piss poor but I'll be fine so no real need to worry about me. Speaking of which, you've already done enough already but," he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a polaroid of a girl with black hair, and I shit you not, violet eyes. "Have you seen this girl anywhere?" |

But besides that, you can reply for him.)) |

Yeah sure, this goes for all people playing Godlike: Any one of you can make a NPC and any NPC that are made you can control them through your PC's posts, like what Shrub is doing with Alexandra or whatever her name is. It's all perfectly legal to do that. So if I create an NPC and you want them to do something, have them do it in your PC's post. Sorry for not mentioning that earlier. As soon as Logan and BB's thing gets done, I'll award the alignment changes and the XP for everyones, so bear with me. |

Okay Shrub, I must add that if you plan to put these NPCs into the game that you will have to come in contact with them at some point or another, I hope you realize that. Also, remember the rule on powers: no mind control, at all, so the Hive and Queen are right out. Unless of course you want me to control her and then have her control you character and send them from the top of a 10 story building groundward, in which case... But no, she's out. As for Gabriel ... if you're trying to make it the Gabriel from my story, he doesn't have the same backstory at all, and he uses handguns, not katanas. Just an FYI. Arel, is fine how he is, but you reall do need to clean up the descriptions. |

Sol took a drag from his cigarette, then took it out of his mouth. While holding it, he took the photo that the boy had showed him and stared at it. Raising an eyebrow, Sol looked from the picture, to the man, and back to the picutre. With a sigh of smoke, he handed the picture back. "Sorry, no dice. Doesn't look familiar," he replied. He saw the sign of sorrow and disappintment cross over his face. Sol gave another sigh. "The name's Sol, by the way." Sol nodded in achknowledgment when the boy replied with his name, Johnny Domino. Sol again raised an eyebrow. "Kind of an odd name. 'Domino.' That you're real name? Or some other name 'they' gave you?" ((short post, I know, but it's all I can muster right now.)) |

Johnny Domino: He took the photo back with a sigh and shoved it into his pocket. At this rate, he'd never be able to find her. Hell, for all he knew she was probably dead in some back alley slowly rotting away. He shook that thought from his mind, it was too damn depressing. "That your real name? Or some other name 'they' gave to you?" the guy, Sol, asked. Johnny smiled, "Nah, it's the name I gave myself. I just set people up to knock them down, sort of like dominoes. By the way, who the hell are 'they'?" |
