(Aight. Til Next time. lol) Exita eyes opened. What a day yesterday had been. He'd shared more with his new partner than he shared with anyone else at the base, and he barely new anything about her. Yet something told him he could trust her. He sat up to see her hoodie on his bed with her single foot hanging onto the edge like a desperate man on a cliff. Exita couldn't help but chuckle, snapping a quick pic with his phone. She looked so peaceful and so serene that he could almost swear it wasn't the same person he had had so many issues with the day before. He sighed and picked her up, placing her on the opposite side of the bed he had been laying on, where the bed wasn't messy. After tucking her back in, he grabbed some clothes and headed for the shower. He'd been so exhausted that he'd fallen asleep in his clothes from that previous day, and that definitely wouldn't do. After showering, he dressed himself in a light blue dress shirt and rolled up his sleeves. Adjusting his new tie, he pulled on a light sleeveless jacket and placed his beret on his head. One of the few perks of his skates were that his skates were collapsible while being worn, meaning he didn't need to remove them to put his pants on. After getting fully dressed, he left the bathroom to check in on Karen. She was still sound asleep. He smiled to himself and exited the room quietly, leaving a small note on the dresser with the following message: Karen, No need to worry 'bout me. Went to the ice rink. It's on the third floor, where the recreational stuff is. I'll have someone bring you something to eat. Let me know if something important happens. Exita~ At the bottom was a little sidenote: P.S. Sleeping on a bed isn't a balancing act. Try not to fall off next time. ;) |

Stiring to she wonders how she got in the bed panicing a bit she checks her ears, tail, coat, then her own cloathing. "...so he didn't try anything.." Laying back down at least it was warm here. "I guess..I could sleep at the foot..or get a sleeping mat." Then she notices the note, sighing at it she then balls it up at the final bit. "Hmpf if it wasn't so cold I wouldn't have to." Though she knew her being cold was more to her type than the room she had to blame him a bit out of pride. "Such a mess.." Looking at his clothes pile, she scops them up putting them in the rooms small washer, she would give him a kindness for not trying to abuse her. Before any food can be brought to her she struts off, well first replacing her clothing. Leaving her sack behind she takes her stuffed toy with her. Thinking on the things she heard, Karen places an order in the mess hall and ponders if she should try finding them an apartment and a recruiter, that was the faster way to get contracts, the office was useless, as anything they had was something no one else wanted to touch. Her ears twitching under her hat she picks up small talk and ideal gossip. Finishing her breakfest, which was mostly partially cooked meats with some berries she heads off in search of him. "Oh taking a break are we good-for-nothing." With a smirk to her face, she crosses the line to try and walk across the ice, "Whats so hard about this." Falling on her first step she rubs her legs making an ow sign then goes back over. "S-shut up.." Prepairing to deal with any laughter or comments he might have shit sits next to him. "...sorry.." Speaking louder she yawns. "Nothing too important, but I looked into apartments or companies looking for pairs, or groups of hunters that need to be built." Reaching into her coat she pulls out a list printed on paper, holding it out with her right hand. "The main office only has troublesome work. Also there are rumours two Gastrea are wandering about in the city that have proven troublesome to deal with. I can still make money in spare time with the labs..so be greatful. Ice Prince." Her eyes seem to trail off as she remembers. "Ah yes some trouble seems to have came up in the slums, bo surprise given the people there." (we can use this to basically set up a way to meet up with yz, npc our own work, or investigate the dealings in the slums.) |

(Let's meet up with Yz. It'll make this RP more lively than just the two of us, plus I feel like our characters have set a solid basis for their partnership so far.) Exita stifled a laugh as Karen slipped on the ice. Only a small twitching of his lips gave any indication that he was amused. Ignoring the Ice Prince comment, he skated around the rink, talking loudly since there was no one else around except for the two of them. "Well, it seems you've been busy this morning..hmm?" He laughed. "You need to learn to relax; have fun sometimes. If all you ever do is work, you'll miss out on a lot of things life has to offer. That is exactly why I have a little surprise for you. But, it'll have to wait." He checked his watch. "Well, now that we're both up it seems like a good time to head out. Let's go head down to the slums. I'm not a huge fan of the area, but you do what you gotta do." (You can either start the next post in the slums, or post a reply here. Then its off to the slums...Yz is in the slums right? xD ) |

Sighing a bit she tilts her head. "Whats fun..I mean I just do things I'm comfortable with, and I am a weapon..I don't really understand what you mean." With a heaving of her shoulders at the mention of the slums she sighs yet again. "Why that trash heap...fine fine.." With that she doesn't bother to argue the point and heads off in search of her sword, and brings her white sack, leaving the stuffed toy behind in the room she stares at it for a bit then shuts the door. Triggering her com she speaks. "I have what I need, see you at the front, try and not keep me waiting." |

Exita sighed. Why must she be so stubborn, he asked himself. He skated out of the rink, picking up her stuffed toy. If this was some sort of rebellious act to show she didn't need "fun" she was in for a surprise. He knew it would take time to fully break the ice, but he didn't realize it would be this difficult. He skated out and met Karen, handing her the stuffed animal with a small grin. "You forgot something." Then they headed off towards the slums. |

"Oh, so you did leave me all alone so you could go on a date." Aeronwy murmured as she munched on the burger, however her tone made it difficult to tell if she was teasing him or simply commenting to herself. After swallowing her bite, she huffed. "Oh, so now you wish to pay attention? Well, I suppose if I'm ever to get the words out, now would be best considering that there are no computer monitors to catch your attention." She commented in a slightly annoyed tone. "William, tell me, do you think you could kill me? Follow up question: If yes, do you think you could do so with ease? As if it were some basic chore?" She questioned seriously as she ate. |

"It wasn't a date." He responded curtly as he drove the car down a garage that served a parking lot below the Base. He heard her words and sighed when she talked about the monitor. "Sorry, okay. I had a lot to think about yesterday." He said as he drove the car towards a parking area. Soon after, she asked him a question quite different from the ones that he would normally hear. He stopped the car and then turned towards Aeronwy, with a very serious expression. "If I wanted you dead, Aeronwy, you'd have no idea of how I killed you. I don't mean to sound arrogant, but I'm more than strong enough to deal with a Cursed Child of your rank." He said to her as he stared at her. He never lied. Someone from the first ranks could easily annhilate someone like Aeronwy without any trouble, he knew that very well. |

"You don't mean to sound arrogant? By saying you could end me without even knowing my capabilities?" Aeronwy actually laughed at that, and unlike her small giggles that might've been considered cute, her laugh was pompous, malicious and unnerving. "Well, I was going to use your answer to further my point, but now I'm interested. Please continue, William." She spoke, leaning forward slightly and holding her chin in her hands childishly, however she spoke his name almost... dangerously. "Why do you think that? Hm, William? Because our ranks differ? Because of rumors and data collected in the labs? I did not think you so naive." She questioned again, all the while holding an amused smile. |

"You truly do not understand. Have you heard of An Shizui? I guess you haven't. She's on the top 10 of the Japanese IP Rank. I don't know about it, but they say she single-handedly defeated a group of Stage IV Gastreas in less than 10 minutes. The ranks aren't there for anything, Aeronwy. You have absolutely no idea of what the Top 10's are able to do. Rajin once was able to purge an entire city with his bare fists." William told her. He believed on her point, but she also had to understand that the numbers meant something. People like An, Rajin and Kiara were so powerful they could easily destroy humans or Cursed Children. "I haven't seen your abillities yet, but just like that, so have you not seen mine. Compared to the others, Aeronwy, I'm not so powerful, yet I know that there are people out there that can shatter others to pieces with a stare." He told her. He knew very well she possibly was going to think of this as a lie or naivety, but he saw it with his own eyes. Rajin destroying every Gastrea on a city, not mattering their Stages. "Rajin killed stray Cursed Children with one attack, Aeronwy. Though they were untrained, it doesn't mean that his skills are to be taken lightly. Along with Diana, I fought against other Ranks as well, and she saved me multiple times when I was danger, because they are a lot stronger than they seem to be. They have the right to be arrogant or to feel like they can overpower others easily, but I can't. I'm sorry." He said as he looked towards her, once more with a blank expression. It was strange, William didn't seem to neither fear her tone at all. Unlike many, he knew what she was possibly capable of, yet he didn't exactly fear it. He knew that it was dangerous, but didn't fear it. |

"You're completely switching gears now, William. I didn't ask about these other people. I asked about you, and you stated that you could kill me, yet now instead of providing proof of that, you gloat about your superiors?" Aeronwy questioned with a raised eyebrow. "The ranks hold some legitimacy, yes. However they are not to be taken as completely accurate, especially mine." She told him seriously, this time with a scowl on her face as she sat up. "Do you know what the two main ways of gauging the ranks of Cursed Children is? The number of Gastrea killed and battle achievements." She answered her own question before continuing. "That is with normal Cursed Children. What about one such as I? A feral? Do you think they'd just let me run off on my own to kill a couple of Gastrea in order to deduce my rank? No, at most, they'd use the simulations provided by in the lab or send with me a Promoter... Oh, wait. That's right, not many wanted to try their hand at 'taming me'. Point being, do you think they were able to accurately gauge my prowess? They probably did the best they could, but could truly only estimate." After Aeronwy finished speaking she sighed and leaned back whilst crossing her arms. "Not that I'm saying there isn't someone who'm could kill me, but my point is not to measure me up with those numbers." She added before her scowl switched back to her normal docile smile. "Now, what I wanted to say was that this woman carried an air about her that said she could kill me and with extreme ease. Now, while I don't think someone couldn't kill me, there aren't many who can and while I am unsure if she could actually back up the air around her, I definitely felt that she was a threat." She told him calmly. "She had long black hair and wore a mask, as well called herself Raven. She said to tell you to be cautious since dangerous things were coming to you and this city. That is about it." After telling him this, she opened the door and hopped out. "Now, let's get a move on already. This conversation has aggravated us long enough. I'm curious about meeting your date." Aeronwy commented with an amused grin and slightly mocking tone. She seemed back to her usual persona at least. |

William sighed as he heard all she had to say. Before, he wanted to show her the truth in the ranks by telling her that getting to Rank 2 wasn't easy, yet she just dismissed it completely and assumed he was gloating about his superiors. Perhaps he was, but he had also faced them. However, there was no point in keeping up this argument. She then, proceeded to talking about her own power. How she was feral and untamed didn't really matter, actually. William remembered himself of when he saw actual feral Cursed Children, those who had lost their minds, given in to their nature. Aeronwy didn't seem like that at all, at least out of combat. Even if she did give in to her nature in combat, it wouldn't be like the true feral. After all the conversation about power measures, Aeronwy talked about what William wanted to hear, the person she met. Turning towards her, he once more payed heed to her words. Long black hair, a mask and the name of "Raven". William repeated it on his mind as she then went out of the car. Quickly, he opened his door as well and then closed it, before using the key control to lock up the car. He then started to walk behind her, slightly aggravated by her words. "She's not my date. She's a beatiful woman, but I wouldn't even try to go to bed with An." William said before he sighed. "There are only two people that use the nickname of Raven." William said as he walked besides her. He was thinking about it deeply, trying his best to see if he understood who it was. They made their way to the elevator, where William pressed a button for the fourth floor. "Now, listen up... I know you're very strong. I shouldn't have said I could kill you. That's unstrategic of me. I don't know if I could kill you easily, and I doubt that, since you claim to be unlike other Cursed Children, but I will never be dishonest about your power, Aeronwy. Just like that, you should also be honest about mine." He said as he briefly glanced at her. "Once, I fought against Rajin. We tied." He added before the elevator opened, revealing what seemed to be the location for members of the CS. Walking foward, they both are greeted by a tall woman, with 1 meter and 80 centimeters, with a long hair that went all the way down to her waist and coverd her left eye, an overly large bust and a strangely sexy glance. Her green eyes shone as she looked towards William and his partner. An Shizui walked foward and smirked as she greeted them. "Hello, William. You must be his partner. My name is An Shizui, and I will be your tutor for the day. This is the Military Floor, and this is where real practice rooms can be found." She said to the duo before looking at William, who nodded in response. |

"A date doesn't automatically sleeping with them, you pervert." Aeronwy chimed back with a small, mischievous giggle. "So you're saying you might know our visitor? Who are the possible people?" She inquired, somewhat curious of who the woman was. As he began talking about the previous subject, she listened calmly. As he finished, she slightly smiled once more. "'Good. We're in agreement then." She stated with a calm expression. "I don't know who this Rajin is. But whoever they are, I doubt they're a normal human. You mentioned them defeating a Stage IV Gastrea? That's quite a feat for a lone, normal human to accomplish. I have some doubts, at least about them defeating one with ease." She stated as she waited for the elevator to take them up. Once they arrived and met the woman known as An Shizui, she found herself staring at her. Shortly after she began giggling for some unknown reason. "...Oh... Don't mind me... Simply... recalled something amusing." Aeronwy dismissed, taking some time to regain her composure. It undoubtedly had something to do with her previous accusations and teasings. "I am Aerowny. And, a tutor? I know William arranged for practice however I was unaware an instructor came with it." |

An Shizui observed the girl laughing and raised an eyebrow, the one of her right eye, since her left eye was covered of her hair. When she was finished, An sighed and then took a quick glance at William, as if accusing him of this sudden burst of laughing. Obviously, William looked away guiltily. An then aimed her eyes at the small girl besides William. "Since the test you two will be undertaking is not supposed to be open for such low ranked members, I was ordered to observe and advise. In other words, I am the tutor for the test and I decide the time and section of training." An said, with her usual very calm tone. William stared at her for a few seconds before sighing again. "So, in other words, the boss doesn't trust us enough to let us practice alone? What does she think of us? That we're terrorists?" He said in a mocking tone as he looked An, who giggled slightly at that. "We both know that the boss doesn't trust anyone to let them play with her toys... You might just break them unconciously." An said as she then turned around and signaled for them to follow her. "I'll take you to Chamber 43, the area where I train. Luckily for you, that is a private chamber, made specially for me, which means you will now be able to use it whenever you want... As long as you contact me first and get my approval." She stated as she led the way through the corridors and hallways of this military area. |

"Genuine trust is a rare thing. I'm not shocked at at the boss's lack of it." Aeronwy commented, returning to her normal smile. "But what sort of test is this that is reserved for higher ranks, exactly?" She inquired as she looked around the areas they were passing. "And why exactly are you letting us use your private training grounds? Any specific reason for your generosity Miss Shizui?" She questioned the woman with some curiosity present in her voice. This was one of the people William spoke quite highly of, and although he said that they were friends, she found it a bit weird for An to simply let them use her personalized chamber. Perhaps An was simply being nice, but Aeronwy being someone who found the thought of someone 'just being nice' mostly preposterous, she held some suspicion. |

"It is a test meant to test all of your skills in one go. So, it is a very hard test and should be taken extremely seriously. In the chamber, you will have a selection of missions, which you can choose, for the one you consider most preferable." An said as she made her way through one hallway and then opened what seemed to be a coded door. Soon after inserting the code, she pushed her wirst inside a small hole besides the panel and then an ocular test arrived. She made all of them as if she was geniunely used to doing all this every day. The door in front of them opened to reveal an overly large chamber that seemed to be where An trained most of the times. Soon after she opened the door, she turned towards the duo, with a small smile on her face. "I owe William something. Right now, I'm just repaying it all at once. Besides, I always liked helping the desperate." Shizui said as she made a small smirk. William looked away and closed his eyes as he made a "hmph" sound. "Anyways, please go inside. I shall go to the upper areas so that I can start the test." Shizui said as she made her way past the duo and proceeded around the corner. William sighed once more as he walked inside the chamber. "She's such a pain..." William mused as he prepared his gloves and then looked towards Aeronwy. "So, you're ready?" He asked as he stared at her blankly, awaiting for her response and also expecting a probable tease. |

"Interesting... Very interesting..." Aeronwy mused somewhat suspiciously as she listened to An's explanation of exactly how important this test they were taking truly was. At An's justification for letting them use her personal chamber, she looked over at William just as he huffed, causing her to let out a small "fufu" at his reaction. Following him inside, Aeronwy chuckled a bit once more at his comment. "Well, I see why you automatically thought perversely at my little tease earlier... With that appearance, no wonder your head was in the gutter." She teased him with a laugh. "Yes, I'm ready. I'll leave the choice of the test up to you." She told him, once more reaching under her dress and pulling out her weapon from where it was hidden behind her back. "Ready to go when you are." |

Exita awoke in a hospital bed, hooked up to a couple machines that beeped and booped little noises as they constantly monitored his vitals. His first thoughts were of Karen. He had been foolish, and his leadership had almost gotten them both killed. Doubt filled his mind, and he wondered if he really was the right partner for Karen. She was, after all, quite skilled. And although he owned a solid rank, it mean't nothing if he couldn't live up to the power associated with it. As he shifted to his side, he felt a pain in his side. He lifted the covers of his bed to see the closed wound. At the same time, he felt the pain from the shards that had been caught in his back. They had all been removed, but he was still in pain. He gritted his teeth as he swung his legs over and off the bed, standing up slowly. Cautiously and painfully, he got dressed. Only one thing was different. After lacing up his skates, he did not put on his signature beret. The Emblem of the Mad Stallion stared back at him, and he could not find the courage to wear it. So instead, he removed the pin, placing it in his pocket. "I will not wear this pin until I have achieved power, true power worthy of such a title," he promised himself. He was glad that Karen was not there at the moment, as he was not sure what he would say to her, or how he would explain that he had failed her. A part of him wanted to see her, to make sure she was ok. The other part, however, wanted to hide from her. She would see him as weak, and hell, she might even have pitied him. And he would not be pitied. I was a fool to believe that my skating abilities were all I needed to win. I am weak, and my partner almost paid the price because of it, he thought to himself. He headed towards the training rooms, walking slowly. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Upon arriving at the training area, Exita set the rooms gravity pull to 6x. After that, he set the drone count to 100. He needed to grow stronger, and he would not fail Karen ever again. He loaded his skates and began the training program, gritting his teeth hard as the pain in his side and back really set in.... Karen having dealt with problems of her own, not to mention a berating, medical exaim, and a punch to the gut from a Training instructor, heads to the medical ward looking for him. During the time he was out she would check up on him when she could, but wouldn't stay long, not sure how to face him, or rather wanting to have any sappy momments till she had control over things. or herself.. Heading down to the training room, shes surprised, shocked, and then angry to see what he's doing..although she came down there for the same. "Exita! You fool!" Sighing she makes a pause motion to the observation deck. "That Settles it, you are a stubborn hard headed idiot! Inconsiderate, and stupid!" Before he can say anything she crosses her arms and stares at him. "You need me to take care of you, least you would kill yourself..Be thankfully I'm saying I'll be your partner for good! Hmph" While her own body is still in a bit of pain she draws her own blade. "...I'm..glad to see your okay..Because after this I'm going to beat you up myself." Leaving Exita confussed and with a bit of a frown and yet a smile to his face, she makes a shsssing sound. She would hear what he had to say once they cleared this, if they cleared this, she didn't like it, but from looking into him, and the talk the director gave her, she would have to trust him, and likely share stories of her own. |

Exita just stared at her, unsure of what to say or how to respond. It didn't help that she was a reminder of his weakness. But despite that, her antics made him crack a small, sad smile. He wanted to say something, like he was sorry, but instead he turned away and faced the drones, giving the thumbs up to continue the training session as well as to hide his tears of relief that she was ok. He cleared his throat. "Fine. Then let's begin." |

Nodding to him she feels the gravity pull down on her. Sighing a bit she lefts up the sword. This would be difficult. Taking in a deep breath, her Sword felt many times more heavy and her body ached. She could fight here at least, but she knew it would wear down on her. "Hey..if I..go into that rage again, you'll need to learn to direct and control me.." With that she settles in, trusting him to watch her back, she charges in for the first batch of drones, using the sword, and sheild combo from before so they could leap-frog around. "We also need to learn new tricks.." In her own way she was showing she felt down as well. |

"It's not like that, ok? She's a real tease, just like you, but whenever someone hits on her, she replies with a strange coldness on her tone. She's already made quite clear that she doesn't want a relationship with anyone." William told Aeronwy as he then glanced at the window that was supposed to be the one for the test runner to be. Seeing that An was still not there, he continued to talk about it. "Otherwise, why would she not be married by the age of 28?" He mumured in a rhetoric question aimed at Aeronwy. However, the voice that came next didn't even allow Aeronwy to say anything. "What exactly were you two talking about, William?" Though An asked in her usual calm tone, William froze up as he looked towards the window and waved his hands as he responded. "No, nothing! We were just discussing about what test to take, that's all!" He quickly responded as An stared down at the chamber, a strangely aggressive look on her eyes. William laughed sheepishly as he looked away from her. With a cough, An recomposed herself and then continued to talk. "Well, I'll put the tests on the screen, choose the one you prefer the most." With that, multiple screens appeared what seemed to be a 3d interface, used for the selection of which test to take. There were so many that William didn't even know where to begin. He started to scroll and scroll and scroll until he found one that quite interested him. "Hey, what about this one? Since we'll be testing our physical and combat capabilities, I think it's quite good." Poiting to the screen, it showed a small picture of a map that seemed to be a desert. The data below read: An Egyptian Artifact was being led to it's home, in Egypt, by a heavily guarded military convoy, with the intent of being reinstated at it's museum and serve as an epic piece, that was part of the story of Egypt and a part of the technological advancement and discovery of the Underground Tunnels. The convoy was supposed to reach it's destiny in three days, but something stopped it mid-way and the artifact was lost. The convoy was completely destroyed and all military weapons were stolen, hinting the possbility of it having been attacked by raiders. Due to the importance of this artifact to the Egyptian Region, the weak hint that a Gastrea attack was made along with the raiders' attack and the impossibility of the region's reaction, the European Region asked for the help of multiple regions to retrieve the artifact. Since the artifact is of extreme importance and the raiders seem to be ready for an attack, the European Region has required of the attackers to be as stealthy as possible and to not reveal themselves unless the artifact's already at grasp's reach. With that, the selected pair must be silent and careful with their approach, but after recovering the artifact, they can do what is necessary to clear the way. Soon after recovering the artifact, your objectives will be to retreat and reach the city of Kagutane, with the intentions of delivering the artifact to the Egyptian Authorities. You two are the chosen pair to help our international relationships as well as recover this important artifact. Your objective is to land on Kagutane and then walk through the desert and follow a bait convoy with little protection. After that, you must discover the location of the raider's base and recover the artifact stolen through sthealthy approaches. You must also be on the look out for Gastrea appearences and must eliminate all Gastrea threatening the route taken by the European convoys. After recovering the artifact, immediate retreat to the city of Kagutane is recommended, as many raiders from the nearby bases will be alarmed. "So, what do you think?" William asked. |

"Oh? Are you speaking from experience, William? Aw... Would you like me to comfort you?" Aeronwy the paused when An herself spoke. She knew that although it sounded calm, it was far from it. It gave off a certain 'Stop talking before I shiv you' vibe. Looking up at the window with a small smirk. "Hm... I like her." She said, giggling afterwards at Williams reactions. "I must admit that I am a bit jealous that I can't get reactions like that out of you." She commented, ceasing her laughter as he began actually looking for a test. As William suggested one, she leaned over to read the data and looked at the map, she appeared to be considering it with a curious expression, however her look quickly turned into a pout. "Stealth? That's so dull..." She murmured in complaint as she read on. Sighing as she straightened her stance again, she looked to him. "I suppose it could work... though it won't be much fun for me until after we acquire this so called artifact... and in terms of practicality, it is quite foolish... Sending a powerful Initiator and Promoter to hunt down some monkeys rather than Gastrea? A bit of a waste in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, though. This definitely sounds like something that would occur in the real world with Governments like the ones today." She commented before her slightly bored face returned to her usual calm smile. "The stealth part truly will be boring though... I won't get to enjoy myself until we have the damn objective... Oh! Is staying and slaughtering the rest of the raiders an option?!" Aeronwy asked innocently and with excitement, as if she were a child asking to be taken to the toy store. It was obvious she was more focused on what she viewed as "fun" rather than what the mission was... though, what else could one expect? It'd be more surprising if she was being professional about it. |

Exita nodded, skating in after her. He fired a couple rounds, speeding him up. He tried to jump, but the gravity was strong, and his legs weren't at 100 percent. So instead he decided for a sweeping low kick, cutting down the legs of a couple drones allowing for Karen to easily take their heads off. "New tricks, huh?" he muttered to himself. He didn't have any immediate ideas, but his mind was a big jumble of thoughts. Suddenly, he had an idea, one that had come from his attempt at fixing his wounds in the slums. He reached behind him, pulling out four magazines loaded with bullets. He carried Varanium bullets with him as well, but for now he left them alone and only used the standard needlepoint bullets. He cracked open the cartridges, dropping the bullets into his open hands. He then bit down on them hard, opening them up and releasing gunpowder onto the floor. As he released the gunpowder, he encircled the drones, staying as far away from them as possible while creating a circle of gunpowder around them. "Karen! Keep them distracted for just a little longer! If this works, We'll take them all out in one go!" He cracked open the rest of his bullets, as well as those in his skates, covering the training room in gunpowder. When he had emptied out all his bullets, he raced after Karen, picking her up despite his shoulder injuries and diving towards the corner of the room. During that process, he had been grinding his skate against the wall, heating up the blade and creating a small spark, which had turned into a flame. This flame quickly caught on to the gunpowder, exploding and erupted the room into a massive ball of flame, incinerating the drones in a matter of seconds. Exita shut his eyes and held onto Karen, shielding her with his body... |

"You must understand that missions like these are the ones that will usually be the most rewarding. The Government wishes to keep it's "relationship" with other countries clean, so they value someone who helps out with such things. However, if we don't use stealth until we get the artifact, there is a high chance of them just taking the artifact and running away. Raiders would do that quite a lot." William told her as he looked at the data once more. "I think it is a good idea, mainly because we will be working on something that is our weak spot. Working in stealth is quite difficult, and, from my perspective, we could use some practice. After we get the artifact, though, you can kill all of them you want, since we will have to resist enemy attacks at the city." William said, already predicting one of the happenings of the story proposed by the test. Raiders were quite protective of their cargo, they would never allow someone to run away like that for absolutely nothing. "Anyways, it'll be this one." William turned back to the screen and used his finger to press the screen selection, which ended up choosing the mission they wanted. With that, the whole room turned dark. "Very well then. The mission starts with both of you already at the plane, flying over the city of Kagutane. You will be dropped in a few seconds. Get your things ready and prepared to jump..." An's voice could be heard as she turned on all systems. Suddenly, inside the chamber, it felt as if something was shaking. The room felt like was truly flying in the air. "Hmm... I didn't expect ultra-reality chambers to be this realistic... Well, let's get ready to jump, Aeronwy. Keep in mind, this chamber is able to reproduce areas of nearly 60 kilometers in radius, so expect the area to be quite large." William told her as the red light from the plane rose up. "That means "get ready"." William told her as then a yellow light. Slowly, light returned to the room as if the door plane was starting to open. The room simulated everything with extreme perfection, as the wind from the door entered the plane, shocking William slightly. As he sighed, the green light rose up and both William adn Aeronwy started to float in the air. They didn't even need to jump as the room automatically switched the atmospheres, creating a "zero gravity" area by using a huge wind gust upwards. The floor was replaced by a large yellow area, obviously a desert and it took William and Aeronwy a few minutes to reach the ground, William falling completely intact. William took a quick look around and seeked for Aeronwy. "Aeronwy... Did you fall well?" He asked as he looked around, already prepared to face any sort of enemy from somewhere. When in mission, William was far different. His blank expression was replaced by a directed, serious expression that seemed to want to solve everything quickly and with intelligence. |

Watching his plan the whole while, or at least when she could, Karen admits shes somewhat impressed, though it was crazy. Grinning slightly she steps back, only to be grabbed and shielded by him. "Tch...foolish master.." As if not approving she moves her sword over and in front, to shield him, but doesn't bother to break out of his hold, or make a fuss over it. Watching the room burn she sets aside her more primal thoughts, in place thinking of his warmth, though it really was foolish of him. Shaking her head and letting a sigh out she looks at him with a thrown. "Yah know, I could carry explosives for us if you want...It beats you using your ammo up as a reason to hold me..but really, I can take a bigger hit, so let me be the one shielding you..I..I'll be at our room." With that she pushes off, picking her blade up she walks away. With that the males voice from before, comes on over the training rooms result com. "Heh..still an ice princess..So you know Mr Exita, I'm not too happy with having to clean this mess. Also while you were knocked out she went to see you several times. So don't let her nature get to you. If anything I've not seen her this concerned with anyone...now get out, I have a room to clean." With an audialble sigh the com shuts off. |

"Oh... That's adorable, William... You think they'd actually get away if I truly wanted to catch them." Aeronwy spoke with a slightly malicious tone. "But I do get your point. Such monkeys are quite cowardly.... or sane, whichever you prefer to label them ass." She added with a shrug. "Oh, you misunderstand, William. I'm fine at stealth... Now, stealth kills on the other hand... I'm fine with the killing part but I have trouble keeping them from screaming..." She stated with an annoyed huff, as if it were a like not being able to get past a level in a video game. "Oh, and don't worry. Once we get it you can head back to the city and I'll make sure that there are no raiders to counterattack. Good plan, hm?" Giggling after her question as she then awaited for the initiation of the mission. The room turned dark, then she heard An's voice and shortly after that, she felt vibration. "Yes... quite impressive... The monkeys can craft some amazing things, can't they?" Aeronwy questioned rhetorically with an amused smile as she looked around, though all she saw was darkness and a light until the "door" opened and light shone in. The light turned green, telling them to jump however before she was even able to, it switched to a sky view and it truly felt like they were flying, only to be quickly replaced by the "desert". Looking around with some awe evident in her expression, she heard William ask her a question. "Hm? Yes I'm perfectly fine." She answered, not taking her eyes away from examining the fake but extremely real-looking environment. Eventually, she took her eyes from her surroundings and looked over to William, tilting her head with a slightly puzzled expression and approaching him. "You can appear even more serious than usual? Honestly William. You keep that up and you're going to die with a scowl frozen on your face." She teased him as she took a few steps forward. "So where is this 'mock transport'? Or did we have to do something prior?" |

"I see." William responded to her as he walked towards her calmly. He used this chance to take a look around and, at the distance, he saw a small city, with a small sign to the side of it's gate. He then heard Aeronwy's usual teasing. "Impossible!" He claimed as she talked about how he would die with a scowl. "When I die, my face will probably show a lot of pain." He said jokingly, without much serious means to it, as he turned towards the city and pointed to it. "I guess we need to go there, first." He said as he started to walk. Slowly, the temperature started to raise quite a lot. In a few minutes, it was as hot as any normal desert during day, reaching up to 34º C. On the way, William took out his shirt, as the heat was very intense and he wasn't much used to this sort of thing. Expecting a tease from Aeronwy, he actually didn't say anything about it, but also glanced at her with a strangely serious expression after he took out the shirt. "Now, I would like if you got a little bit more serious about this, even though it is supposed to be training." William said as they neared the city. |

Aeronwy was surprise by his sudden declaration and looked back at him with a raised eyebrow before he added on to it. Letting out a quiet 'fufu', she shook her head. "I'm sorry, I just can't see you not being blank-faced. I've only seen that rare gentle smile as well as your terrified expression... I must speak to An later to find out her secrets." She teased him once more with a mischievous cackle, starting to stroll over towards the city. As the temperature suddenly increased, her expression grew annoyed. "...I hate Egypt. Honestly, what monkey thought it was a good idea to live in the middle of the scorching desert..." She complained with a growl. Due to her apparel, she was fine if they were to go somewhere very cold, but it proved the opposite in places of extreme heat. "This is simply horrid." She added as she walked. Seeing William take off his shirt, she began staring for a short while before shaking her head and sighing. "Can't even tease and taunt you like this..." She mumbled in aggravation. Hearing him speak, she looked over to him again. "I'l get serious when need be, William, rest assured." |

Exita appreciated Karen and all her attempts to be helpful. Hearing that she had visited him helped reassure him that maybe she wasn't mad that she had been paired with him. As he skated out of the room, he waved an apology to the control booth, smiling timidly. After arriving at his room, he found that Karen was already there. He strode in, setting his stuff down and flopping onto the bed. He shut his eyes for a moment. The past two days had been insane. Suddenly, he remembered his surprise he had promised Karen. "Oh! Here, I forgot to give this to you." He dug through his drawers, pulling out a small, white and blue pair of ice skates, obviously meant to fit a young child. "I know you're not exactly...uhm..proficient..on the ice, but ice skating can be fun, if you give it a try. Maybe when we're all healed up I'll take you down there sometime." He gave his best smile, hoping she would accept them. He turned to check his phone for any missed calls or messages. Suddenly, something caught his eye. A flashing icon on his phone. It was the silent alarm, and it most likely meant that one of the GCS members was in danger. While Exita didn't know everyone in the GCS, he considered them all valuable and important, and if one of them was in some sort of danger, then he had to help. "Karen! We gotta go! I think something's wrong!" He burst out of the room, shooting down the halls at seemingly record speed, tracking the beacon that had just been activated. He knew Karen was more than fast enough to keep up with him, and only hoped he could reach whomever was in danger in time. (I'll do both) Smiling and looking at the skates with a surpsied inhale, she grabs them before turning her face into a scold. It was the first time anyone had given her something. Or at least for no reason. "I..its not like I need these, but if you need my company then fine. I'll give you some time to teach me, this useless thing." Putting them and her stuffed toy in the dresser, she digs through her bag, putting some of the odd assortment of items on the ground. "I'll be demanding you take good care of me while on these." "Roger" Flipping to her more serrious side, she bursts from the room in fast speed. "We need a few things." Carrying the sack with her she heads for the armoury and the Intel office, knowing Exita would likely be going to get them a means to travel. Pressing her com button she makes sure of it. |

William laughed slightly by seeing Aeronwy like this. For the first time, his seriousness faded slightly. "Weak against heat, huh?" He mused as they neared the gates to the city. As soon as they entered, it was then seen by them that it was just a small town, with the convoy ready to depart already. There was a bit of a guard at the convoy, and all of them with their faces covered. One of these men walked towards William and Aeronwy and asked with a robotic tone. "Is the pair ready to cover our exit and path? If you two need anything else to prepare, you can always go to the store nearby." The man asked and soon after gave a suggestion as he stared only at William. It's robotic stare made it seem slightly inhuman, even though it's voice was perfect and it had a very good stance as well. William glanced at Aeronwy before responding to the man. "We are ready. Let us begin the convoy's walk." William said as the man nodded and then looked towards the squad that was covering the convoy. Motioning his hands, he ordered for the driver to start the engines and get rolling and also ordered the guards to follow. Due to the ammount of guards, the convoy would be very slow and would be needed to be protected by both the pair of Aeronwy and William and the guards. The two would be on a car, in front of the convoy, while the others would walk nearby the convoy and protect it on foot. The car's enviroment was so realistic, it really seemed like they were driving. Of course, the car automatically followed a route and didn't allow William to drive, even though he was sitting on the driver's seat and Aeronwy on the usual passenger seat. With that, the convoy started moving and quickly made it's way across the gates that Aeronwy and William came across a few minutes ago. As it moved slowly, William stood in attention, watching with care the surrounding area. |

Hearing a small chuckle coming from her side, Aeronwy narrowed her eyes at William with obvious annoyance apparent in them. "You're enjoying this aren't you? Stupid men... being able to take off their shirts." She further grumbled as they entered the gates. As one of the masked guards approached them and spoke, Aeronwy raised an eyebrow. "Everything else seems realistic, but these 'men' seem more blank that even you can accomplish to be... If the raiders are like this it'll be even less fun." She said with a huff. As they entered the car, Aeronwy immediately scrambled for some kind of air conditioning... However having never been taught of the controls of a car, besides the obvious steering wheel, gas pedal and break, she ended up simply guessing and hit the windshield wipers. Growling in frustration, she chose another button... which were the defrosters. "Why are there so many buttons!?" She questioned angrily. It was obvious she had far lost her composure. "Which one makes it cooler?!" She questioned William. |

Sighing, William pressed again the button of the defroster and then pressed the button of the air conditioner. However, he doubted it would be any necessary, as he looked at the distance and saw that the day was seemingly going past really quickly. In a few minutes of simulation it was already starting to get nighty. The sunlight faded very quickly and so did the unbearable heat. Now the temperature was slightly different, with the cold starting to prevail. William, however, kept himself without his shirt, since he didn't really mind cold. It took them a few good meters of ride before something quite strange happened. After these few minutes, they had reached what seemed to be a valley, where they entered in between two large mountains. The light that the moon emitted soon reached them and they could see a faint white light across the valley, even though the car had headlights on too. "Aeronwy... Can you feel this? The air is starting to get chilly... Something's gonna happen soon... Keep your weapons nearby." He said as he took a look at the mirrors of the car, to check if everything was ok. Suddenly, a scream could be heard, and shortly after, gunfire. "Damn it, we're being attacked!" William shouted as the car automatically stopped and both of them got out. From the back of the convoy, a large Gastrea, probably Stage III started a made attack. It was a spider type, that quickly started to wipe out most of the guards with ease, since they were not armed with the weapons necessary to kill the Gastrea. William took a quick run towards the creature before drawing out his pistol. |

Aeronwy sighed and leaned back, trying to get her mind off the heat, though she didn't need to endure it for long. Since the simulations seemed to "fast forward", it quickly became much colder and her scowl turned into a comfortable smile. "Ah... Much better." She commented in relief, opening her eyes once more as she could finally focus on something other than the temperature. As they reached the valley, she stared at it with some mild interest for a short while, then yawned. At William's warning, Aeronwy chuckled lightly. "Really? Well, then. I'll keep my guard up." She told William with a slight nod. To be honest, she already knew that something would happen... or rather that something was coming. However, she did not predict it in the same manner as William did. She had had her own "instincts" to tell her what was happening. A few moments before the scream followed by gunfire occurred, Aeronwy opened the door and hopped out of the car, taking out her concealed scythe as she landed. "Time to go to work." She stated as the "men" began screaming and shooting at the Gastrea that appeared. Giggling lightly as she charged at it, using the vehicles as stepping stones, she launched herself off the last truck in the convoy towards the Stage III. Aeronwy began to spin as she fell towards it, specifically one of it's legs. However rather than continuing until she made contact and sliced it off, the top of the scythe detached and extended to swing and sever the leg once she closed in about halfway from the last truck she jumped off of to the Gastrea itself. |

William watched as Aeronwy made her way through the roof of the cars and jumped from one to the other with extreme ease. When she jumped towards the beast, he prepared his pistol and didn't even waste his time aiming. He raised both his gun with his right hand and also raised his left hand, with the gauntlet online. He then patiently observed. The Spider Type Gastrea wasn't even looking towards Aeronwy. It was too busy destroying the soldiers with it's claws. Because of that same reason, the attack was quite brutal. When Aeronwy landed, it's leg was cut in half and the sound of the limb falling on the ground reverberated across the sand. With that, another sound could be heard. A varanium bullet being shot. The bullet made it's way with perfection towards the area where Aeronwy had cut, and it's missing limb. Though Aeronwy had made a clean cut at it, the leg quickly started to regenerate and the Gastrea made a lunging attack towards her. With another shot, William planted another bullet on the creature's leg claw, the one that was aimed to hit Aeronwy. After that, he made a rush towards her and lifted his right hand. The claw stopped, as if it was being controlled by William. He then twisted his arm and Spider Gastrea flew, turning it's belly upwards. "Now!" William shouted for Aeronwy and then awaited for the attack. While he awaited, he made sure to connect two bullets at the creature's belly, as a safety switch. William held the creautre with two magnetic fields as he raised both his hands and the creature was almost completely unable to move. However, he wasn't going to be able to hold these two for too long. Slowly, the Gloves started to release what seemed to be a white smoke, normally released when overheat seemed imminent. |

Aeronwy released a small chuckle upon the creature's leg being sliced in half. Of course she did't expect that attack to be lethal or even incapacitate it. Her goal in a fight was two things; the blood and pain of her opponent. She had a habit, sometimes poor, of playing with her enemies. Her attack obviously caught the attention of the Gastrea as it retaliated as soon as its leg regenerated. Aeronwy was able to evade the attack with relative ease, her face wearing a grin, showing that she was still merely playing with it. It was clearly evident, however, that William would not give her time to toy with it as he, quite surprisingly, immobilized and incapacitated it. Her grin left her face and was replaced with an expression of curiosity and wonder at how the creature was thrown. Aeronwy was brought from her thoughts by William's voice, causing her to sigh and run towards the monstrosity. Hopping up on top of it and running across it as she dragged it across the spider's stomach, slitting it right open from top to bottom, launching off its head and slinging the top of her scythe, now detached, across and through the Gastrea's neck, decapitating it and landing gracefully on the ground next to it. "My, I wasn't aware you were capable of something like that, William. Perhaps you could kill me, if you were to hold me down like that." Aeronwy commented with a smirk, the blades of the scythe flying towards her and reattaching themselves to the polearm. |

Seeing how she had made quick work of the monster, William pulled back his hands, his control over the minuscule bullets finally being over. Sighing, he stretched his hands as he then turned back towards Aeronwy. "I doubt I'll ever have the need to do that." He said as he walked away from the beast and kneeled down by a body of the security guards. "We were supposed to be attacked by raiders, not by a Gastrea..." William commented as he searched the body. Finding something, he pulled up what seemed to be the records of the latest activity in the area. "So, it seems like a lot of Gastrea had swarmed this area a few days ago... Why would we have to go through a route filled with Gastrea?" William wondered as he then threw the record away and turned towards Aeronwy once more. "We should continue to see what else we might find. Do you feel anything strange, Aeronwy? This is an hyper-realism chamber, so all details are accounted for." William asked as the gauntlets once more glew, releasing the white smoke. William clicked his tounge as he placed one of his hands above the other. Upon being used like that, the gloves would generate a lot of heat, that would quickly harm and injure William in some ways. At a certain point, the gauntlets would eventually fuse with his skin and, if that ever happened, William would probably die. However, this was one of his only weapons and he still used it every time he could. "Should've taken the anti-thermal pill..." He mused in mutters as he looked away. |

"It's not that surprising. This chamber is supposed to recreate the realism of assignments, correct? Well, I would think it quite likely that nothing goes according to plan, just like in the real world." Aeronwy hummed with a small grin as she further approached him. "I hope you're not asking me... I wouldn't know. Is it possible for the bots to send us on what they'd believe is a suicide mission? Though... that would beg for the question of why." Aeronwy mused as she looked around at the destroyed convoy. "Poor monkeys never stood a chance." She mused, tapping one of the "corpses" nonchalantly with her foot. "Don't worry, William. If I feel any movement in the area, I'll let you know." Aeronwy, after assuring him of that, looked over to him. "Is such a weapon not... well, dangerous to your health to say the least? It was fuming like a wild fire while you were holding it down. Seems like it'd burn..." She commented approaching him and slightly sniffing the gauntlet. "Hope that's not burnt flesh I smell..." She stated, though it was unclear if it was meant as a joke or serious. |

"When I take the anti-thermal pill, it doesn't even scratch. But, since I was in a hurry today, I completely forgot to take it." William said as he sighed. Suddenly, she came closer and siffled the gauntlet, which made him retract his hands away from her immediatly. "Hey! There's nothing to worry about. To burn my flesh, I'd have to use a lot more than I do..." He said. Though he was not lying, he sure as hell feared the damaging capabillities of the gauntlet. "Anyways, c'mon, we should take a look around. Let's search for anything that can show us if they received orders of going into a suicide mission." He said as he walked towards the main car of the caravan. A large APC that was completely destroyed by the Gastrea's attack. William opened the back door by force with the Gauntlet. When the door opened, he was surprised to see that there was actually nothing at all inside the APC. He walked inside carefully and took a look around, but found nothing. In the driver's seat stood a dead guard and, in the seat beside him, a small piece of paper. Picking it up, he took a read and saw that the paper contained some sort of information mentioning the airtifact and the fact they needed the Japanese Agents dead. At the sight of this, William sighed. He then walked back outside and looked at Aeronwy. "They did this on purpose. This desert is infested with Gastrea, no sort of caravan could've walked through here. Besides, I don't think normal raiders would've been able to take down a heavily armored Caravan. I think someone here is setting us up, Aeronwy... And this same person also sabotaged the last caravan. Whoever it is, the artifact must hold some value to him or them." William said as he read the paper once more. Though he'd love to see the rest of the orders, most of them were scribbled over. He sighed again. "Damn these hyper-realism chambers, they even got the politics right." He said in a jokey manner as he looked towards the dead bodies. Suddenly, a radio came in. "Hello, is there anyone on this frequency? Hello?" William noticed something. The voice was quite calmer than it should be. If someone was in this person's position, they would be desperate to know if their allies made it through safely, but this person seemed almost happy with the current setting of the desperate situation this caravan would've been if Aerowny and him weren't here. Before someone picked up the radio, William raised his hand. "Let them think we are dead." William said as he looked towards Aeronwy. |

"My, my. Will I need to remind you to brush your teeth as well?" Aeronwy teased him with a light giggle. She was a bit surprised as his immediate retraction of his hands, however she merely laughed at him for it. "If your sure. I was just worried that I'd end up having to feed you for the rest of your life." She said with a small chuckle as she followed him to the APC at the front of the caravan. As William more thoroughly searched the vehicle, Aeronwy awaited for his findings as she glanced around at the ruined landscape, grinning slightly at the sight. "Oh? Monkeys betraying and sacrificing their own for what is probably some ancient, meaningless piece of rock? How shocking!" She said sarcastically with a roll of her eyes. She giggled at William's joke and stopped when they heard another voice. Someone who obviously was checking to see if their trap worked. Aeronwy merely closed her eyes, smiled and nodded at Williams statement. She didn't plan on answering it anyway. She'd simply repay this betrayal with blood. |

"It's not an ancient piece of rock." William said as he made his way back to the car, he wondered if it would even still move. By taking a look inside, he noticed that now the car was available to be used by him or anyone else. William entered the car and called Aeronwy to follow. "Come on, we should go have a "nice talk" with the commander of this operation, he might know something about it." William said. As soon as Aeronwy got inside the car, he started to make his way towards the city, all the way back from where they came from. "Really now, this seems like something that could easily happen on the real world. According to the files, the artifact is a key. Probably a key to one of those ancient things on Egypt. Right now, no one knows what it opens, but this guy thinks he might get more money if he keeps the key for himself." William explained as he drove. He sighed. "I could really use a beer right now..." He said. This world was so realist, it allowed William to actually feel tired about all of these problems. |

"Sure it isn't, William..." Aeronwy said unconvinced. These materialistic things that humans tended to value were of no interest to Aeronwy. In fact, she thought them almost completely worthless. She thought even lower of such things since humans were willing to fight, kill and stab each other in the back over said items. "Yes.... Talk... I hope by "talk" you mean mutilate and maim." Aeronwy chimed with a happy grin. "Just leave it to me... I'll see if he knows something about it..." She assured with a mischievous cackle. Before entering the car, Aeronwy once again folded the scythe behind her back once more. As she sat in her seat, she laid back and stretched her arms and legs. "Okay, then... An ancient meaningless piece of rock key." She corrected herself at his explanation. "Though I'm still not surprised, sounds like a typical money-whoring human." She commented unamused. At his statement that he could use a beer, she giggles. "Alcohol fogs the mind." |

For once in my life, I was stumped. No matter what code I put into my super computer disguised as a normal laptop, I couldn't get past the countless firewalls of the governments secret files. Even as a rank 99 I couldn't get into the heart of the files that held info that would make Satan scream in fear. I sighed and leaned back. I just became a Promotor but I still haven't found my initiator and since sensei died.... im back to being alone. I sighed again and decided to visit the news page of my emails, hoping to find something to alleviate my boredom |

(Ok, let's skip to something else interesting involving both of our characters...) Suddenly, as soon as William started to near the city, the simulation started to crumble and deactivated. From above them, they could hear An's voice. "I'm sorry to cut this short... But something happened and we're on charge of taking a look. Besides, you two should go after that Iron Golem still today... Make use of the daylight. For now, I'm saving the simulation and delaying it to tomorrow... Now, go out, will you..." She said as the room grew dark and the door opened. "An, what the hell happened? Why is it so urgent?" William asked, looking up with a calm expression. An's voice cut in quite quickly. "Just go already... You should see it on the news..." As she said that, William sighed and made his way out of the room, along with Aeronwy. "Now, now... Let's see if we can find anything around here..." William mused as they walked out and made their way towards the meeting hall. There, he saw on the TV. The said: "...The destruction of the Yoshimatsu tower didn't end only on the park. Many constructions of the central district felt the trembling of the earth and some others even were hit by pieces of metal that flew from the tower. How the tower fell is still completely unknown to us, but it is hinted that the earthquakes combined with General's Baraka training section could've been the cause. Along with this, I also received knews on the death of the General of the JSDF, Baraka. To honor the General, a military march has been registered for tomorrow. Along with that, his funeral will be held on the GCS security base. It is a truly unfortunate day." William sighed. "Well, I guess we should avoid the base tomorrow, it's going to be filled with all sorts of military." He said as he then made his way towards the exit. "C'mon, we have more thing to worry about. Let's get that Golem thing over with." He said as he made his way towards the elevator. |

Aeronwy paused as the simulation ceased. "Something happened?" She inquired, ignoring what she spoke abot the Golem. She was happy that she could get out of the desert, however. It was only until An stated it would be finished tomorrow that she slightly pouted. "Excellent... back into the incredible heat..." She murmured in complaint as she followed behind William. Upon seeing the T.V. she blinked in slight awe. "That's what the monkeys get... screwing around in a place like that." She commented with a disappointed sigh. "But due to their ignorance... I am out of the heat... at least temporarily." She mused aloud, nodding at William's suggestion. "Yes, I agree. A bunch of weeping monkeys for another dead monkey. Let's go deal with that Golem." She agreed, following behind William once more before latching onto his arm like she had done so before. "And can we can a smoothie or something afterwards?" She questioned almost childishly. |

BANG! CLANG! A ventilation cover dropped down and soon a shadow. You're kidding me...we planned weeks for this and some idiot had to be in this room just on the day we broke in... Frustrated Lésteria grabbed her dagger chain whip and instantly latched it onto the man's neck who was on his laptop. With a single pull Lésteria could instantly kill him... "Don't move...nod yes just be quiet and ignore us...anything else...I'll kill you..." Lésteria and Maho had planned to steal some rations as they were starting to run out on the shots. Hence, Lésteria's job was to get in and be bait and mess around with the surveillance room while Maho went to grab the supplies they need. Already Lésteria had messed up and they're probably gonna have to abort this attempt... |

The sound pulled me away from my computer but the metallic noose kept me from turning around. My rapiers were to my side hidden in the guitar case I use but I couldn't make any fast movements. Ii slowly turned on the camera of my computer and looked at her face, my eyes flashing red and quickly processing all info on my assailant "Lésteria Albrïcht, 11 years old, you're japanese born but of german parents and like most cursed children you are been living a life of discrimination and pain." My mouth spouted off everything the files told me but I couldn't do much with this chain dangerously close to cutting my head off. "I can guess why you are here, your corrosion level is probably dangerously high and you need the shots. But sadly they changed positions a day ago so they are not in the same spot and You'll need me alive to find out where they are" |

How does he know? she thought as she accidentally tightened the chain a bit. And now he tries to make a deal? Think...Maho is already heading there and she'll be there in less then ten minutes...and now there's this guy... Although her mind was frustrated Lésteria still had her cold calculating exterior as she tried to consider the man's deal. "We don't need your help! If you want then meet us in the slums..." she said as she returned her chains and pulled herself back up into the vents."If I find you told someone... I'll dismember you... personally..."she hissed. She then crawled as fast as she could to find Maho. It didn't take long for her to catch up to the hyper girl who was still on her way to the old supply room. "Maho we're leaving after a quick look..." Frankly, she didn't completely trust the man and would rather have a quick look as they're almost there. They still had multiple escape plans so things will turn out alright if anything does happen.. |

"oh ho.... seems like this should be fun" I examined my neck, only a slight red discoloration but nothing too bad. I grabbed the oak wood polished guitar case and opened it up to take out my two steel beauties, sakura and rosa. a pair of twin rapiers modified for both thrusts and slashes. I knew they would be traveling via the vent system and luckily I knew where the placed the supplies, the room I was just in. I grabbed one of the boxes and darted out the room for the old supply room, but before i went out I went to the thermostat controlling this wing and cranked the heater up to the max No one tries to threaten me and gets away with it.... this is gonna be good My eyes turned red again and accessed the hidden cameras in the vent shafts, the girl and another girl would be in the room in exactly 30 seconds This will be fun I took rosa, the slimmer of my swords, took my stance and pointed her end at the vent shaft above, waiting for my new prey to fall into my trap |

After she had split up with Ria, Maho made her way to the storage room as planned, though a lot more slowly than she would have liked, it was supposed to be a stealth operation after all and she had to move as quietly as possible, just like they did in the movies. Stealth wasn't really her thing, she'd rather just bust in, beat everyone up, and take what they needed but Ria said that, like most of her plans, it was way too dangerous. A loud bang clang noise came from behind Maho causing her to stop in her tracks. She knew from its loundess that it must have been from where Ria was and felt like she should go back to help but at the same time Ria said that it was her job to create a distraction so maybe it was part of the plan. After taking another few seconds to think about it, Maho decided to continue on with the mission; Ria wasn't so weak to be taken down by a few guards. She continued on her way to the storeroom but noticed that Ria was starting to catch up so she slowed down some more. Maho didn't really get why Ria was here now but if all she wanted to was take quick look, Maho could do that much from where she was. Maho concentrated on improving her senses of smell and hearing and she could smell someone in the storeroom ahead of them, their heart beat was somewhat calm the person, probably male from the scent, was standing perfectly still, likely laying in wait. "Ria, there's someone down there waiting for us, what should we do?" Maho whispered. (Assuming Moni doesn't re-edit his post) The temperature in the vents was slowly rising but it would take a bit to actually reach a temperature that would really affect the two of them. |
