| The sound of his and someone else's steps were the only thing that echoed on the corridor that William walked through. Following a man in a lab coat, he blankly looked around, seeing the cages that were specially made for each Child. "She is quite aggressive and she has also shown violent attitudes. Lately, she was creating many problems towards the Civil Security, so we locked her up and kept her like that for a few days to see if she would calm down." At that last sentence, William's eyes twitched slightly. "She's not an animal..." William refuted, still with a blank expression. The doctor rubbed the back of his head and gave William a sheepish chuckle before assuming a serious expression. "You don't know her yet. If you did, you wouldn't say that. When in combat, she acts like a vicious animal, killing anything that gets on her way. We would love to let her free and allow her to keep on her job if she was not so violent towards everyone. You know how people are nowadays, they are skeptical about Cursed Children's function, so some of them are still under the law of needing a Promoter. That's why you're here, William-kun. We need your help so that she's not exterminated." The doctor said, looking towards William with a serious expression. William looked away and took a deep breath before looking at the now standing still doctor. "Why did we stop?" He asked, staring at the doctor, who quickly turned around and continued on his way. "I thought this was an academy... But it looks more like a prison than a school." William murmured as he walked behind the doctor. "It's not like that." The doctor said, revealing that he had actually heard William's words. "This is to keep them safe... From us and from themselves." He said with a saddened tone. William kept on following the doctor silently after that and they only stopped a few minutes after their last conversation. Stopping in front of what seemed to be an entrance to a cell. "Well, this is where she is. Are you ready?" He asked. William nodded in response before the doctor opened the door and then looked inside. "Aeronwy, we're back." He said, awaiting for the girl to show herself. The cell looked more like a true room than a cell, as it had a bed and seemed to be decorated by the users. William stood behind the doctor as they both walked in. |

| "I see you've brought with you someone." Aeronwy mused calmly stepping out to where they both could see her. While her mature way of speaking and docile smile could make her seem as 'normal', that was where the normality ended. She had silver hair with a bluish tint, a right red eye and eye patch covering the left along with a sort of Gothic Lolita outfit. "I haven't had many visitors as of late... Who'm might this young man be?" She inquired the doctor, turning her one visible eye to stare at William. After a short while, whether the doctor finished answering her or not, she approached William and stared up into his eyes with an amused smile. "Mm... You have quite the interesting eyes." She commented with minor intrigue. |

| Folding his arms, William looked at the girl once more and analysed her. A Cursed Child. So small, yet able of making a lot more damage than any human. Of course, William was not much of a human. The doctor watched carefully as Aeronwy walked towards the young man. "This young man will be your Promoter from now on, Aeronwy. His name is--" Before the man could introduce William, he was cut short by a tap on the shoulders. "I can talk by myself." His tone was still blank as it could be, but always with a tinge of violence in it. The doctor almost froze upon hearing his voice and then he spoke again. "I guess I will leave you to do the introductions then. Aeronwy, I'll be right back. Be nice to him." The doctor spoke as he turned around and left. William looked back quickly to see the man leaving before he spoke by himself. "Hello. Seems like I'll be your promoter. You can call me William." William said by himself as he stared back at the girl. "And your name is Aeronwy... I guess Slaughter River could be quite a violent nickname for someone. Sadly, I don't think we're in the medieval era." A small and brief smile appeared on his face before he once more go blank. |

| Aeronwy did a small curtsy upon William introducing himself. "A pleasure, William... but are you quite sure of being my Promoter? I do realize it is quite a... tedious task to say the least." She inquired before sitting in a very decorative chair. "You do know the success rate of me becoming... Oh how did a couple buffoons word it... tame? Yes, tame was it. Or did they perhaps force this duty on some poor soul since there was none else?" She inquired, all the while keeping a playful smirk. "Oh? Do you like my name? I do believe it fits me ever so well." |

| For a brief moment, when Aeronwy said the word "tame", William's face hid behind a dark and strange mask. It was difficult to tell if he was angry or something else, but it was blank once more after one second. "Your name is the second one related to death I heard, so it reminds me of someone..." He told her, responding her second question before he went ahead with the first. "Taming you?" He asked before kneeling down and looking directly towards her, to make sure that she would understand what he was about to say. "I'm not here to tame you. You're not an animal. If I'll be your Promoter, I'll be asking for your cooperation and help. This is what I'm here to ask for, Aeronwy. I'm here to ask for your help." He said with a friendly tone. The way he saw it was like this. At the same time he was helping her, she was also going to be of help to him. "So, what you say? Will you help me out, Aeronwy?" He asked her, still blank as ever. |

| Aeronwy's expression turned a bit blank with a hint of confusion at his "plea" for help. She stared at him for a few moments, as if analyzing the truth of his words, before speaking once again. "With what and why?" She finally asked, propping her head up on her hand while leaning her elbow on the arm of the chair. "Destroying the Gastrea? Protecting humans? Why should I?" She inquired as she stared at him. She had a more blank, somewhat annoyed face, as if she didn't like something in what he said. |

| "With your power." William responded her first question. "I don't know you well enough to tell you why, but we all have a reason to fight. I promise you our enemies won't be weak." He said as he looked away and got up. For a moment, he looked upwards and sighed. "Our enemies are also the humans, don't get yourself confused." He said, probably confusing her once more. "I'm not fighting Gastrea to protect humans. This is not my reason to be here, to be alive. I want to protect everyone and not only from Gastrea, from humans too." He said as he remembered, his motives to be alive right now. "But most of all... I want vengeance..." He added as formed a fist with his hands and gripped strongly, almost bleeding. "But they won't allow me to do it alone, neither will they allow you to act alone." He said before sighing once more. "I don't fight to protect people, I fight to satiate my wish of vengeance." He told her as he looked towards her once more, with a serious expression. |

| Aeronwy smiled at that and stood up once more before approaching him. She brought her hand up to gently grasp his chin, barely reaching, and seemingly examining his face again, more specifically, the look in his eyes. "You've caught my interest... I suppose I could try partnering with someone... so long as you don't hold me down." She said with the same docile smile, however with a hint of malice in it this time. She released his chin as stepped around him and instead clung to his arm. "When do we start?" Aeronwy inquired, tightening the grip on his arm slightly. |

| Suddenly, the girl's reaction towards him changed almost completely. From a differently blank expression with a tinge of violence, to a satisfied smile. Somewhy, it confused William, but he stayed the same, with a blank or emotionless expression on his face. To make him even more confused, the girl now clung to his arm. He was about to open his mouth in response to her, but was cut short by the Doctor's voice. "Ah, I see you two are getting quite acquainted with each other." He said as he walked towards the pair and smiled. "The preparations have been made, you shall be moving by tonight so you can go to his home right now if you wish to. William sighed. "My appartment barely has space for me, but you still want to take her towards there?" He asked as he sighed once more. "Sorry, Mr William." The Doctor said as he knew that there were no other choices. "At any rate, you two have been called to speak with the current leader of the base. You will find her on the top floor. Here, take this with you." The Doctor said as he gave the pair a new code. "Why give me this?" William asked. "It's your code. Whenever you two want to take on a mission from the board, you just need to sign your code there and we will later take notice." The Doctor said before he turned around and prepared to leave. "Be nice to him, Aerowny." The Doctor said before he started to walk away. "He sure is a strange man..." William said before he sighed once more and then looked towards Aeronwy. "Well, looks like we start right now. He said that the leader of the base wanted to talk with us... We should go there." William said before looking towards her and awaiting for approval or for her cooperation. "Or would you prefer to stay here and prepare your things. According to him, you'll have to bring your things to my appartment and it ain't that big." William said as he remembered how small his appartment was. |

| "A bit confused?" Aeronwy questioned with a sly smirk as she clung to him. She knew he was probably confused, even if he didn't show it. Truthfully, it wasn't what he said that convinced her of accepting his proposal. Whenever there was someone brought to try to 'tame' her, she always paid little heed to what came out of their mouths. Instead, she looked at their body language, their tones, their expressions and the look in their eyes. She could judge a lot more of that than she could ever from someone's words. "Don't worry, I'll treat him well." Aeronwy answered the doctor with a docile expression, ignoring her prior question completely. "The head probably doesn't enjoy the idea of simply letting me go like this... I wouldn't put it past her. You know well people trust Cursed Children, especially more... instinctive based ones like myself." She commented, tugging on his arm slightly as a sign to proceed. "I don't have much anyway. I can do it later and quickly. I hope you don't mind me staying with you, but it can't be that surprising, can it? Again, lack of trust is quite present today." |

| William didn't respond her first question. She knew he was confused and why, he had no need to respond it. Though what really confused him right now was why she was holding his arm. "She was the one who called me to come here. If she doesn't accept having you going out of the area, I don't think I'll have another reason to cooperate with the Civil Security." William told her as he walked towards the central area of the base, that was now bursting with people, both military and population. Slowly, they made their way across the area as William spoke. "The people don't trust Cursed Children because they are stupid. You all have the same reason to fight Gastrea that we have. They see you as enemies, but completely ignore the fact that their enemies are also your enemies." William said as he walked, looking towards his sides from time to time, to face the population that sometimes stared back. "People here are just the same as they were back there." He mused, more to himself than to her, as they entered a corridor. The windows on the sides showed the area where the Cursed Children were both trained and thaught. To the left, rooms and more rooms of strategy against Gastrea being thaught on school-like classrooms. To the right, practical areas with fields or shooting ranges where people would practice against bots made for that. "I wonder how it was... Living here. This looks like a prison more than a place to teach you how to live. They teach you how to fight, but they never teach you how to be human, do they?" William asked as he made his way through the corridor. In the end stood an elevator. |

| As he spoke, Aeronwy stared up at him again. "You're completely truthful in what you speak, aren't you?" She questioned rhetorically as she looked at him with mild amusement. "You really are interesting." After speaking again, her grip on his arm tightened somewhat. "I wouldn't ask myself if you wish to know more about this environment. I know much less than any of these girls. I'm thought of as feral, do you truly think I was taught in the same way? I was kept separate and rather than trained and taught I was simply given training simulations in a high security environment." She answered him with a calm smile as they walked. "But no, I'd assume they don't. They want monsters to fight the other monsters." |

| "So you were treated as a beast... Yet they wish of you to act humanly. Humanity is so ironic." William said as they entered the elevator and he pressed the button to go upwards to the final floor. "I once saw who the real beasts are... How can someone kill a child without hesitation or fear. I saw the worse that humans are." He added as they were going up. The sound of a bell could be heard as the door ahead of them opened up and they walked ahead once more. The place looked more like an exclusive office for her. "Indeed. You have not to worry, I will be sending someone to take care of it." Her voice could be heard as she spoke with someone on the phone. "Yes. Goodbye, Mr. Hatch." She said as she turned the phone off and then looked towards the pair. Her eyes were somewhat unpleased with the sight. "So, it looks like you truly are choosing her. You must be crazed." The woman said as she turned towards William once more. "Crazed or perhaps the only logical person still alive... Choose whichever." He responded to her in a cold tone. He didn't like this woman. He never did. She acted as if she was a hero or a favorite person, yet she never went out of her office to solve the problems outside... It was just hypocritical of her. "Well, since you're so interested in forming a pair with her, I guess I can test how much of a hold you can get on her. So far, many have tried but few tamed her personality." For a moment, William's eyes twitched. "For that reason." He said as he pointed towards her. The woman seemed confused with his reaction. "They see her the same way you see. You all see them like that. I won't tame her... I'll do better than that. I'll befriend her." William spoke as if she wasn't there, but he knew very well she was listening, as he took a quick glance towards her before continuing to speak towards the woman. "So, you had a mission to throw on us. Go ahead." He spoke, his tone somewhat angered, different from the one he used once with Aerowny. The woman's eyes turned violent for a brief moment before she spoke once more. "There is an Iron Golem on the Wastelands to the south of here. It was supposed to be used a form to fight Gastrea, but it ended up going rogue. I want you and your partner to go there and take it down. Do not damage the hull, will you... It can still be of use to us." She spoke as she laid back on her chair and then moved her hand, sending both of them off. Turning around, this time it was William who grabbed onto Aeronwy's hands and carried her. "Oh... And do be careful with her. We invested a lot to see her dying because of you, Rank 2." She added before he left. William then entered the elevator and kept silent, not speaking anything else. Their meeting lasted less than 2 minutes, and it he seemed like he was used with it. In fact, his relationship with the woman seemed quite weird, as if they knew each other from some time ago, if someone was perceptive enough to notice. |

| "Humanly? I gave up on that long ago. They want a monster, so I give them what they want; A monster." Aeronwy responded to his comment. "You'll find I'm not much of a child." She told him calmly, though the statement itself held murderous intent. Upon entering the room, Aeronwy didn't say a word. She merely kept a docile, yet slightly mischievous smile on her face as she watched their interactions with each other. They seemed to be familiar with each other, at least somewhat, however it still didn't appear as if they got along. As she listened, she took note of William becoming slightly agitated and stating that he would befriend her rather than tame her, though that would be a difficult task as well. Nonetheless, she released a quiet 'Fufu' at it. "It was nice seeing you, Miss~. Don't worry. I do not plan to perish helping you or anyone else." Aeronwy finally spoke as William began leading her out. Even an idiot could sense the undertone of killer intent and hostility in it. As they entered the elevator, William became silent again. This time rather than cling to his arm, she clasped her arms behind her back. "Something wrong, William? You seem to have some sort of bond with that woman... Though it doesn't seem to be a good one." |

But there are others like you out there that don't desire to do this. Still, they force it all on them, not caring if they want it or not. You either fight beside us or die out there... That's the law they made." William sad as he walked towards, once more, the central area of the base. "I guess from here it is straight to my appartment..." He said as he looked towards her, and somewhat awaited for her confirmation. |

| "I take it you're not much on speaking terms?" Aeronwy questioned rhetorically as she watched him. "I see... You truly sympathize with my kind, don't you, William?" She inquired with an amused face as she wrapped her arms around his left one. "Lead the way... but tell me, partner, if not a monster, child nor animal, what is it you see when you look at me, hm?" She inquired, looking up to him with a smirk. "And speak truthfully, will you? Don't try to pass it off by some cliche pickup line either." Aeronwy warned in a slight teasing tone. |

William said as, strangely, he patted her head softly before they left the base and reached what seemed to be a park of entrance of the area. A small smile could be seen in his face, but it disappeared briefly after. "You said it yourself that I only speak truthfully... Starting to question my words now?" He asked as he made his way towards what seemed to be a car stopped right in front of the park. Pulling up a key, he pressed a button and the doors of the car opened. "Come on, let me show you the appartment." He said as he walked towards the door and awaited for her to go in before closing. He then walked towards the other side of the car and entered calmly. The car wasn't something uncommon as it seemed like a normal one, easily found at the streets. William turned it on and started to make his way out of the area considered military. | Kssssssssssssssssssss..... The sound of Exita's skates echoed through the halls as the young man glided through the entrance of the Civil Security Base. He had been out down by the river collecting stones with which to keep his skates sharp, and having collected an amount that suited him, he had returned to base. As Exita scooted down the halls, he gracefully avoided all the human traffic in his way. He had been skating for so long that everything about the sport came easy to him, and he didn't need to think about obstacles in his way. After checking for his phone for any updates or new jobs, Exita smiled and gracefully traveled down the hall. It had been a good day so far, and he wondered what was in store for his future... |

| Karen finishing up tests on a heavy sniper rifle sighs, cluthcing her toy deer in one hand she walks down the halls of the base, part of her was in a foul mood, they seen ft to try and pair her up with yet another trainer. Along the way to the meeting room she passes a man of some sort..skating down the halls? She had to double take on that, being so strange, then reflecting to herself on her own apperance she shrugs it off, its not like she would meet him again.. As the man rounds the corner she heads off as well in the same direction. (want me to be some sort of director?) |
| (Yeah go ahead.) Exita smiled politely as he passed a young girl on his way to his room. Must be another one of the Cursed Children, he thought to himself. He had always felt bad for their situation, and how they were viewed as weapons over actual people. It was for this reason that he had never taken a partner. He felt that it allowed him to only need to watch out for one person; himself. And if he should perish, at least he wouldn't leave anyone behind to carry the burden of his death. Exita slipped through the gate on his way to his dorm room. Upon arriving, he slid the keycard into the slot, opened the door, and entered. After setting his possessions down, he turned on the TV and laid down.. |

| Suddenly a knock is at the door. "Exita-san? May I come in, I'm staff chief Satio. I...no, we would like to speak with you, There is a cursed child we think might be suitable for you as a partner." Sliding a folder under the door the voice speaks again. "She has been a hang on for awhile, and is exceptionally powerful, but there are issues with her, unless something is worked out, you know there is only one thing we can do in the long run." Letting that sink in the man steps back from the door. "She's waiting in my office, I won't be there. If you arn't interested in her, then leave her and the folder there, if you are, then just the folder. I warn you, 12 others have tried and failed at commanding her...there will be of course a pay care bonus if you acceapt." With that the sound of footsteps can be heard growing futher away. Meanwhile in Saito's office Karen looks around a bit nervously, removing her hood her wolf ears twitch as she smiles. Pulling a hunk of jerky out she chews it kicking her legs a bit while sitting on the desk. |
| Upon hearing Satio's offer, Exita rolled off his bed and leaned down, picking up the folder. However, he didn't open it. He was unsure about accepting a partner, especially one that didn't seem to have a very high compatibility rate with other Promoters. But at the same time, he didn't want the Child to be "removed" simply because he was being selfish. As he wrestled with his thoughts, he decided that the very least he could do was at least meet the Child. Leaving his room, he tucked the folder under his arm and skated to Satio's office. He stopped at the door, exhaled deeply, and opened it, gliding into the room.. |

| Turning her head het ears twicth at the sound of the man, dropping her food she slids off the desk quickly. Panicing she searches for her hat and toy deer seeing they are on the chair she was originally in. A bit angry she covers her ears with her hands and stares at him. "Who are you! What do you want! T-Turn around!" |
| Surprised by the sudden outburst, Exita spun around,facing the doorway through which he came. "Uh..Sorry. I'm..Kozaku..But you can call me Exita. Everyone just calls me by my last name. Sorry to bother you. I'm here to meet someone." Exita still had yet to connect two and two together, as he was unaware he was talking to the person he was supposed to meet. |

| Scrambeling for her hat she hurriedly puts it on. "Aww..my food.." Seemingly more concerned with the jerky than him, she scoups it up to throw away later. "Exita huh. Strange name skater. I'm the only one here though. So why are you here?" She already had some idea of why he was here. "...let me guess, my new leash holder?" |
| Turning back around, Exita skated to a seat. "You?" He took out the folder from under his arm and opened it. A large mugshot of the girl before him stared back at him. "I guess I'm supposed to meet..you?" He cringed at the "leash-holder" comment. He knew it wasn't personal, but that didn't keep it from stinging. "If I wanted an animal, I would've gone to the pet store. I didn't. I came because the staff told me they had someone who might be a suitable partner for me." He placed the folder down and looked back at her. "Partner," he repeated, staring back at her as he let the words sink in. |

| "13th one then hmm..I won't follow anyone that can't keep pace." Crossing her arms in a matter-of-factly way she stares at him. Though she had to admit it was nice not being called an animal but she wonder if he seen her. "but an animal is what you will be dealing with." Removing her hat slowly her ears twitch a bit. "So..still want to be my Partner?" The way she says it seems to have an air of challenge to it. "As to compatability how would we test that to begin with.." |

| Karen's ears didn't bother Exita in the slightest. It had been a surprise, since he had not seen them when he first entered, but it didn't turn him away from who she was. "Well, I guess 13 is your lucky number then. As for keeping pace.." he smiled as he got up from his seat. "I think a little combat ought to do us some good, hmm? As partners, it'll be good to know each other's moves and fight style. So..come on. Let's see what you've got." He said, smiling at her. "At the very least, it'll be fun." |

| Her ears flatten a bit as her eyes narrow as if to study him. Putting the hat back on the bells on it ring softly. "Combat..do you mean training..or, Gastrea?" She was a bit curious now and walks towards the entry where he and the chair was, grabbing her stuffed toy she stares up at him with her head tilted slightly. |
| Exita looked at her, a bit amused. "If we're going to be partners, that means that in dire situations, we're going to have to make important decisions. Life changing ones, even. While we might not be equal in ranking, we are equal as people. I made the decision we would go have some combat." He looked at her, scratching his chin. "So why don't you make the decision on how we do it? Want to go find some Gastrea? Or do you want to have a little spar between us?" He skated to the door, and opened it, looking over his should back at her to follow. "As long as you're with me, you'll always have a choice. So choose." |

| Her legs shake subtelly at that, having a choice, was he serious..or insane..or the truth.. But he raised a fair point. "...training room..If we don't know how the other works battle would be dangerous. I can use almost any weapon, but I prefer to be in close." Moving around him slowly while keeping her eyes on him she makes a hmpf sound and turns her head from him. "Meet me in Room 4. They have drones and spar gear..if we fought each other full out I wouldn't want your blood on me." |
| Exita grinned widely at her comment. There was something about this girl that he couldn't quite put his finger on. He had a feeling that this girl...She just might be the right one. He skated past her and down the hall towards the sparring rooms, leaving the door open as he entered. He took off his hat and placed the rubber safety covers on his skates, dulling the blades and covering the barrel. After donning the rest of his gear, he accessed the sparing arena, and skated out into the large dome shaped training space. |

| "Hmpf...well he is fast.." Going to a locker as he raced by she shows a nearby guard a pass to which he nods. A few momments later she comes back, but minus the stuff animal she's hold a sword far longer than herself, even bigger than Exita. Carrying the huge Zweihander on her shoulders she stiffles a yawn as the bells on her hat and hair ring softly. "Kay." Calling out to an area up and above her a male voice comes on. "Whats the orders today Little Ice Princess?" Snarling up at the voice she stares "I'll remember that next time you want your pants fixed...and the usual." "Oh come on don't be that way! Fine fine!" With a sigh the voice dies as four combat drones come from a sliding wall area with its own lift. "They are just observer balls with stun weapons..totally useless.." But as she says that, more and more deploy, untill there is 20 in all, yawning she swings the blade one handed crushing two, it seemed she had some sort of coating on her sword as well. "Well Eistänzer...lets see what you can do, there will be 40 in all." With that she quickly darts to the side as the drones begin to spit stun rounds at the pair, the hint of a wolves tail can be seen as she jumps. "If you don't give up, then I may consider allowing you to fight me. Or staying...for however many days you last.." (one more post maybe then going, though should now) |

| "40 huh? Well then I guess I might want to take these covers off." He bent down and unsheathed his skates. Closing his eyes, Exita exhaled deeply. Through breathing exercises, he was slowing his heart rate and allowing his mind and body to be at peace. He positioned himself in a runner's 3-point position, with one hand on the ground and bent knees. After exhaling one last time, his eyes shot open. The sound of the gunshot echoed through the dome as Exita fired both Jin and Aki(his skates) behind him, causing the force to propel him forwards at high speeds towards the drones. He then leaped into the air above them, landing in a split handstand in a cluster of drones and firing both weapons out directly at them. The recoil from opposite directions caused him to spin in a circle, and he used this to pop upright and scissor kick a drone straight down the middle. |

| "Hmpf show off.." She had to admit it wasn't bad given the one he connected with took out three others. Rushing in behind him, she puts both hands on her blade, with a spinning arc that passes over her head she takes out 5 more, then crouches town using her sword as a sheild, it would be interesting to see if he could make us of this or not, if she was going to work with him at least. |
| Exita couldn't lie. Karen's strength impressed him. Her sheer force had just taken the heads off five drones, and that was no mere feat. As she crouched down Exita had an idea. He fired his skates again, rocketing towards her at high speeds. When he was about 20 feet away, he front flipped into air, landing both his skates on her sword with his knees bent; his face inches from hers. For a split second, the duo shared a moment of eye contact. A playful smirk danced on Exita's face as he whispered two words. ''Alley oop." Exita fired the last two bullets in Jin and Aki out, using both Karen's immense strength as well as the gun recoil to propel him high into the air, far above the drones. As he soared up above the drones, his hands reached behind him, finding the other magazines he carried to reload his skates. In an instant, he swapped the empty cartridges with freshly loaded ones. As he began to fall back towards the floor, Exita spun and aimed his skates towards the drones,releasing a hailstorm of bullets down below and decimating everything beneath him. |

| Smirking a bit she stops herself and decides to scold him but failing. "I'm not impressed or anything! Show off!" As he flips and they exchange a glance she decides to give him a chance. Rushing forward under his barrage she slices what drones he missed, which were now focused on him. Soon only 10 are left and decide to turn thier guns on both. With that she uses her sword again to shield him. "hmm...maybe you will do. For a skater.." If they would work well he would need to pick up on her body singles, twitching her head towards him, then to the left, she looks right slightly shifting her blade. "...lets finish this.." |
| Landing behind her, Exita was protected from the drones by Karen's large sword. Hmm, not too shabby he thought to himself. He checked his skates and realized he was completely out of ammo. He'd have to go pick up some more from his room before he went, he reminded himself, making a mental note. He then turned back to Karen and the drones. "Shall we, my lady?" he asked, offering his hand out to her in a mockingly playful expression. Before she could reply with a witty remark, he just laughed and raced in after the drones. |

| "....ugh.." Not saying anything she rushes along side in the other direction as the guns track him...the idiot didn't have any ammo! Sighing she picks up the pace burning calories rapidly to protect her handler she lefts the blade and performs a percession spiral, with the blade moving down the line, up, above, then back below with his movements. One last drone almost gets a shot off, but her fingernails grow larger and sharper, and a swipe of her left hand settles the matter. Soon a buzzer sounds and the male voice comes on. "I would give you a 98% raiting, the only flaw was running out of ammo. End time 2 Minutes even." Satio's voice cuts in. "So will you take her, and can you give him a chance, Karen-chan?" "He's an idiot with no spares, hmpf...but- sure.." Saito's voice comes over again with a laugh. "Just give her some freash beef and she'll be happy, she always gets grumpy after these. But shes rather easy to please." With a red look to her cheeks she looks at the box, and her tail stiffens like a real animals when angry. "I-I am not!" Gritting her teeth she heads out of the room and waits just on the otherside of the door. With a sigh his voice comes on. "Her type has a few maintance problems in terms of food and her own emotions, she'll likely do some odd things untill you can win her over, if you can." |
| "No spares huh?" Exita laughed to himself. "My bad." He shrugged it off and skated out of the room after hearing what Satio had said. Win her over.. That might be a challenge considering her..personality, he thought to himself. But only time would tell. Upon exiting the room, he turned and saw Karen standing there. "So... I guess we're a team huh?" He looked off at the wall, not sure what else to say. He had never had a partner before, nor had he ever really needed one. After a couple minutes of silence, he opened his mouth. "Well I guess I should give you this then." He dug into his pocket and pulled out a small electronic bracelet, with a small screen and a unlit red sensor on the side. "That's a standard issue tracker. Well, it was, back when I was a kid. If we're ever separated and we need to get in contact with each other, just press the little button. It'll send a message to my tracker," He held up his left hand, exposing a matching bracelet, "And the screen will guide me back to you, and vice versa." At the same moment, another Promoter and Cursed Child were walking past them down the hall, holding up the latest model tracker, which were a pair of rings. Exita looked at them in annoyance and put on his best fake smile. "I know they're not the newest thing, but just think of it as.." He struggled for words. "A hipster fashion statement!" He exclaimed, a bit too loudly and a bit too excitedly. He was hoping for a smile, or even some sort of reaction, but he didn't expect much. So he just smiled a big, wide, stupid grin. |

| Stairing at him she lets out a sigh, and though shorter the way she stares at him seems to be looking down. Taking the device she sniffs it then him. "Now I can find you without this.." in a surprise move however she starts to rip at the device breaking its componets down, before he can stop her, she reaches into her coat with a free right hand holding out a roll of fabric, sitting down right in the hall she starts to knit. About 10 minutes later she's turned the arm bracelet and its componets into something like a choker. Snapping it around her neck she breifly tests the fit. "I don't like hipsters..and I don't care for new flashy things, I can make my own." Sighing her jaw twitches a bit as she works her mouth on what to say next. "I'm hungry, show me where I stay now." It was standard pratice for a team like this to live together, but she wasn't sure how to put it then worrying she sounded too eager she quickly snaps. "I mean its not like I want to, its the rules, I have to..plus you didn't bring enough bullets!..least you don't sm..ell like a bad person." The last bit is barely auidable and if he heard her somewhat minor sign of acceaptance she planned to just deny it. |
| How is it that I'm the one that get's treated like an animal, Exita asked himself. He sighed, and his shoulders sagged. He understood all too well why she had gone through so many Promoters. If this was what working with Karen was going to be like, he was going to need a lot of patience, determination, faith, and a whole boatload of luck. He turned and skated down the hall, yanking at the new "fashion statement" around his neck. "C'mon. It's this way." he said in a defeated tone. ___________________________________________________________________________ Upon arriving at his dorm, Exita opened it and let Karen enter. I'll probably need to get her her own keycard.. Oh who am I kidding. She could probably just open the door without it, he thought to himself. "Go on in. You can have the bed I guess, seeing how there is only one." |

Looking at the room she sighed, then at his collar, reaching up she takes it off of him. "Doesn't suit you.." Staring in a bit of a hostile manner she softens a littly. "...leave your gun belt.." Reaching into her large sack, there seems to be an assortment of things, as if all that she had in life she carried around in it. "I'm not doing this out of kindness..just I can't have you looking like an idiot or running out of bullets..." With that she holds her other hand out as if demanding it. "while I work on this you can go see about our work tomorrow..and bring us some food." (using this to catch up with them so after this it can be night then morning concurrent with Yz.) |

Boy, this girl was really taking the reins in this relationship. Well either way, if that's how it had to be for her to relax and be comfortable, that was fine with him. He removed his gun belt and took off his skates as well, putting on a pear of simple, black tennis shoes that appeared brand new. "Man, it feels weird to walk. It's so..unusual." He stared at his skates, wondering when the last time it was that he had removed them. After staring off, deep in thought for a couple minutes, he regained his senses and got up, walking towards the door. "I'll be back soon." He wanted to say something more, something meaningful, like he was glad that she was his partner, or that he felt like he finally had a friend. But instead he said nothing. He had only known her for a day, and it was too soon to get all soppy like that. Besides, they were supposed to be partners, right? Not friends. Being friends would make them a liability, one that neither of them could afford. "And Karen...Thanks." He sighed and stepped out, heading towards the commissary. |

| As the door closes she exhales deeply. "Your welcome..Well now...lets see who you are." Looking around the room she finds little clues, but eventually uses his tracker chip data to find his log-in information, from what details she gather he had a personal grudge of sorts...least it wasn't for glory, or as he was a criminal incompetent. She could affaord to give him a little room. Looking at the skates, at least they made sense now. Shutting off the computer she quickly gets back to work. By the time he returnes shes sitting on the floor watching the TV. On his bed for him to see would be his gun belt, now modified to hold 10 magazines, and the holster its self angled more to allow him to draw while on the move. And his tracker was made into a tie, much like the gaudy red one as she thought of it. While still red, she did put a blue center line with white lines seperating it. As soon as the door opens she looks expectingly hoping for something good. |

| "It's your lucky day," Exita quipped as he entered the room, carrying a tray loaded with meat. "The base just unloaded a fresh shipment of supplies. And here" he pointed to the tray, "we go." He set the food down and looked at his belt, as well as the tie. "Well, then. You're pretty productive considering I wasn't gone that long." He opened a granola bar and began munching on it wholeheartedly. "So anyways, I didn't get an official mission. However, it does seem that there is something the higher ups are keeping from us. I overheard some others talking in the commissary about some super powerful Gastrea named Infant? Or was it Infy? Not quite sure. Either way, it seems we're out of luck for now. I put in a request for us to be assigned to the first job that comes out, but as for now, we just have to wait." Exita tossed the rest of the granola bar in the trash and picked up his new tie. After placing it on, he did a little spin. "Hmm..Fashionable!" He gave a thumbs up, smiling the whole time. |

| Her eyes go wide as she grabs the plate. Containing her excitement she mummbles in thanks and starts eating in a hurry. Swallowing the mouthful she has she shrugs. "Its nothing..I picked up sewing, the more you do it the faster you are, and canvus material isn't much different from denim." Though she keeps her head down from that point on, to hide that she liked the praise. "...never heard of them, and the higher ups are always hiding things...still beats working in the labs..or..other jobs." Not caring to go into it more she sees him with the tie, this time she does venture a small smile in return. "It does look better than a collar..hmm I hope you can put them on yourself, I'm not a japanese house wife." The rest of the meal however she eats in silence untill it starts to get later. Finishing her meal quickly she leaves the tray where it is. "I'll sleep in the corner.." Deciding to venture somewhat into his story she plays with her words some. "So why such strange weapons, thats weird." As she says that she curls up into something like a ball with her head on her sack as a pillow. |
| Exita flopped onto his bed, bouncing a little in the process. He set the tie down on the nearby nightstand and laughed at her comment about his skates. "Well, I could ask you the same thing, since you're carrying around a sword bigger than you are." He laughed. "But I won't." He placed his hands on the back of his head and shifted into a more comfortable position. His tone in his voice dropped, becoming more solemn. "My skates...Jin and Aki..They're reminders of my parents, who carried the same name. I..I lost them both when I was still young." The thought saddened him, but he quickly perked up. "They were amazing ice skaters though! You should've seen the way they danced across the ice."' He smiled. "My dad was always a whirling dervish on the ice, spinning and raging through the ice rink, getting the crowds pumped up. My mom, well, she was more graceful and simplistic. Yet despite their differences, they came together perfectly when they were on the ice. My parents...they always told me that someday, someday I'd follow in their footsteps. And as the heir to the Exita household, The House of the Mad Stallion, I was all focused on being the child they always wanted." Here he stopped, and silence filled the room. He wasn't quite sure how to explain to Karen the whole situation, and he wasn't really sure if he was even ready to do so. "I guess.These skates remind me of who I was, who I am, and now..." He thought about the Gastrea, about the night his father disappeared, his mother's death, and his life growing up under the watchful eye of the Civil Security. "...Who I need to be." With that, he turned over and tried extremely hard to fall asleep. |

| "I see..a child they wanted hmm.." Curious on it she thinks a little but then stops. Watching him carefully as he sleeps she starts to shiver. As time passes shes sure he's asleep. Getting up she walks over to his bed quitely, listening to his breathing, she stays standing at the foot of his bed. ..it won't hurt to just lay at the foot of it..I mean his feet..well just to get warm..then I can go back and lay down. Before she knows it however she snuggles up to his feet and falls asleep, only to roll off the bed into the floor with a thud., Her hood falls off of her head as she somehow stays sleeping, sprawled out on the floor at the foot of his bed, mummering slightly in her sleep unaware that shes left her coat back at his feet. One leg remains up on his bed making the whole sitaution very commical looking. (I'm out should have been hours ago lol, have fun with w/e om regards to her or skip to morning.) |
