World Tree Theory: All non-Human Races (aka Faerie, Vampires, Demons, Youkai, Monsters, and Fantastic Beasts) home Realms reside in "other branches" of the World Tree. About a 1000 or so years ago, the Archmage decreed that for the good of all Humanity that all these "Outsiders" be "Purged" from the Earth Realm. Their home Realms are the following: Earth: Home of all Humans and Mages and their Houses. Tir-Na-Nog: Realm of Seelie and Unseelie Faeries of the Fay who have long since abandoned the Earth Realm during the Purge. It is a small world of with two hemispheres with opposite hemispheres, to the West is the land of long days and eternal Spring and Summer (Seelie) while to the East is a land of long nights and eternal Fall and Winter (Unseelie). With both halves at odds withe ach other most of the time in a Cold War of sorts. Onogoro: Realm of the various and extraordinary Youkai who have long since abandoned the Earth Realm during the Purge. It is a world of Temples and the beautiful wilds filled of the ancient orient, generally it is quite a quiet and peaceful place with minimal issues. Underworld: Realm of Demons and Spirits of Sin that have long since abandoned the Earth Realm during the Purge. It is a world of nine concentric rings with each being more dark and maddening than the last. Here the Demons are merry torturing mortal souls entrapped there for all of eternity. Blood Moon: Realm of the Vampires and Vampire Lords whom have long since abandoned the Earth Realm almost completely during the Purge. It is a craggy wasteland of a world made of ash and black sand, with its eternal grey darkness and semi-cloudy skies beneath a Red Moon and starless sky. Different Clans are having an eternal internal power struggle trying to become the highest ranking of all the families. Mirror Haus: Void-like Realm where all the Fantastic Beasts who were forcibly exiled from the Earth Realm during the Purge and have no appropriate Realm to return to, they rest in an eternal but restless slumber unless a Contract or Pact is formed with them and they are awoken. Mage Populations On Average Currently there are approximately 7,200,000,000 Humans on the planet, and 5% of them are Mages. Which means there are approximately 360,000,000 Mages on our planet at any given time. There are currently 28 Houses, meaning on average each House's family consists of approximately 12,857,143 members. Of which there is one 1 Magister per House, with the rest being Magus, Magi, and regular Mages. The Archmage not included in this calculation. 90% of all Mages are defined as "Human", meaning that approximately 324,000,00 Mages are Human (about 11,571,429 per House). Meaning the total amount of Cambions, Dhampirs, Changelings, and Han'yos amounts to approximately 36,000,000 (with about 1,285,714 per House). Meaning there are ALOT of Mages out there! |

Mages: Genetic Ancestory Vs. Magic Power The greates Mage "scientists" have concluded that Magic and it's magnitude of Power is carried on the X-Chromosome of the Human genome, while the Y-Chromosome carries none whatsoever. The rankings of the X-Chromosome's Power ranges with a scale from 1 to 10 (Y equals 0), meaning the average Female Mage can have a Power level from 2 to 20 while a Male Mage's ranges from 1 to 10. Meaning the majority of the time, Female Mages can wipe the floor with Male Mages in terms of Power. This supports the old wive's tale that women are more sensitive to the supernatural and emotions, and why despite many of the Houses being founded by Men... are now lead Matriarchal Magisters. This also explains why there are more Male "Warlocks" than Female, as Warlocks by definition "borrow" Power from outside sources via Pacts or Contracts. This brings about a Mage stereotype that from Female Mages you can expect more Raw Magical Power than Males, and that from Males you can expect more cunning and tactical use of their Power. |

Spells Vs. Equipment: What's the difference & which is superior? Both have their advantages and disadvantages in terms of combat and practical use, Spells by their very nature do not require a conduit to cast but require medium to large amounts of Mana and Magic Power to use in rapid succession. Meanwhile Equipment serves as a conduit and is designed to make Magic usage "cheaper" in terms of Mana costs and lower Magic Power levels. However if said Equipment is lost, removed, or destroyed then the effects cannot be easily reproduced or used. Make sense? More may be added in the Future... |
