Is this just gonna continue off the Magic Kaito specials or will they just start from scratch? Hopefully they don't just air the magic kaito specials and then introduce new content from episodes 13 and up. I'm really interested to see what they do....hopefully it's all new content.

I'm happy that they'll doing that and as a big fan of Kaito (and Arsene Lupin) I can watch it even from scratch ^^ I just want to see him more <3
And it's nice it's getting 24 episodes, I thought that it will be 12 or something like that.

I guess I'll be watching specials these days, and only watch series when it is (hopefully) completely available in Blu-ray rips in 1080p.

I think designs really look great and improved than before, especially when compared to the Detective Conan OVA 01: Conan vs. Kid vs. Yaiba, for instance...

Okay, I'm unfair, since a lot of time passed, but progress in quality is obvious.

IMO, it would be great if Detective Conan anime, instead of having tons of filler episodes, was released in similar way when enough manga material for animation was available.

Aside from that, I really find it weird that they will replace seiyu from specials, even though it didn't passed so much time, while Kappei is still Kaito to this day.

In fact, I read that specials also replaced most of seiyu (from when Kaito Kid characters appeared in Detective Conan) which seemed unecessary to me...

Megumi Hayashibara who was the first Akako's seiyu can still sound really young, so there was no need to replace her with Miyuki Sawashiro, and then her with Eri Kitamura.

I mean, I like both Miyuki and Eri, but Megumi would do amazing job again, and it would be more consistent; but then again, maybe it's only because I dislike changing voice actors for one character.

Also, Mamoru Miyano as new Saguru, when Akira Ishida still voices boys without problem...

I wonder if that means he'll continue to be Saguru when / if he appears in Detective Conan again.
